Often - very often - walked by, never walked in. Until yesterday. Friendly welcome by the (Persian) owner. We were put 'at the back', which was a shame because the 'front' was a lot more atmospheric. Service okay. Many dishes with arugula on the menu and I specifically ordered something without arugula. To my surprise it was served with a mountain of arugula... The pasta was fine, the wine too (bottle of 29.50 => okay), panna cotta was a bit too wet but all in all a positive feeling, especially after the chat with the owner who was proud that there were diverse population groups in his restaurant can work well together and accept and respect each other for who they are. Nice!

Not very convinced. The food wasn't really bad, but it was bland and no one in the group thought it was very special. Service was borderline acceptable, took quite a while, but with a large group you notice it less. The atmosphere at the back of the restaurant, where we sat, is not very nice, but seems to be better at the front. For the money it could simply be better.

You can enjoy delicious and cozy Italian food here! Only pizza is of course cheaper (very tasty too), this time we had 3 courses with a nice wine. Recommended!

Pizza fine.. has been better before, been coming there for years.. Haven't been there in a while. Chardonnay and glass barely half full 6.20 that is really not possible! Too bad they are trying to cut back on this... it works exactly wrong. Unfortunately, many catering companies do not understand that...

Great atmosphere! The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice and the food is delicious. The owner was very nice and agreed to welcome us before closing time, which was a nice gesture and made us feel special. We will definitely come back to try more dishes on the menu. This place is a real gem among Italian restaurants. I highly recommend it!

The service was great, kind and attentive people. I ate a tomato soup, good size and delicious. My boyfriend ate a pizza, it was perfect size and tasted good.

De pizza’s waren heel lekker en de pasta ook. Alleen was de bodem van mijn pizza slap en de kaas viel er vaak er van af. Overal een goed restaurant voor een prikkie.

The waiters kept bringing us wrong food and tried to make it seem our fault. We ordered soup, pizza and pasta, and all three tasted the same, very bland, the quality of the meat was very low too. Pasta arrabiata was made with spaghetti instead of penne, I suspect they reused the spaghetti after mistakenly bringing me Bolognese (they took it back to the kitchen). It was also very loud and hot in the room. We didn't enjoy our meal at all.

Cozy Italian restaurant. Fairly dark and old inside, but that gives a warm feeling. Food was very tasty and the dog was also welcome.

The pizza is as thin as a tarte flambée, no taste of the pond. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied.

Delicious pizzas ate in a cozy restaurant in the center of Groningen. Nice crispy base, not too thick. Good but not overly invested. For dessert we had a casata and panna cotta with a delicious homemade limoncello. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely come back here again.

Super Italian restaurant, wonderful atmosphere!

Very narrow, very crowded, very loud, very slow. We also had the misfortune of sitting first next to the wide open door in the passage and then behind the kitchen in the passage. Not the least bit comfortable! And then we wait forever for the food. We won't be back, even though the pizza and the tuna steak were well prepared, but the latter was quite salty.

Gluten-free base which was very tasty. Homemade and not a standard base which often happens. There was also the option for vegan cheese... very nice... I haven't had such good food in a long time.

Great food, very friendly service. The only pity was that they had difficulty keeping up with everything when it became very busy, having to wait half an hour for dessert. Wouldn't stop us from going there again next time 👍

Delicious food for a good price. Friendly people. You can eat at your own pace, but if necessary they will step it up a notch without any problem. The Capricio menu is recommended, lots of choice.

Excellent Italian restaurant at the fish market in Groningen. We had a delicious meal here. We opted for the five-course surprise dinner. They were all good, tasty and freshly made portions. The service was also very friendly and hospitable, and also gave nice and good explanations of the dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also excellent (nice decor and ambiance). To be repeated!

Arrived at Capricio on a busy Saturday evening and got a beautiful spot without a reservation. We were helped quickly and well. The food was delicious, good pizzas for a good price. Highly recommended for Italian dishes.

Absolutely lovely Italian restaurant with good vibes and smiling staff. We ended up here without a reservation, but still managed to find a good spot on a Saturday eve. Food was warm and well served. There was no compromise made on ingredients. We will be back next time we are in Groningen.

Prima Italiaan. Lekkere pasta's en pizza's. Voldoende keus voor vegetariërs, al hadden de meeste vega-pasta's gorgonzola. Die kon gelukkig worden weggelaten. Bediening was heel vriendelijk en vlot.

Vanavond 4 november 2023 heerlijk gegeten in Italiaans restaurant Capriccio. Gereserveerd om 19.30 Cocktail Aperol spritz & Limoncello spritz Bruschetta en Brucetta Boscaiole als voorgerecht. Heerlijk knapperig en niet zout Spaghetti Capricio en Lasagne Capricio als hoofdgerecht Glas wijn Negroamaro (super) Brand wit biertje Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst met een glimlach Het restaurant zit tjokvol maar op een prettige manier De eigenaar komt een praatje maken aan tafel Bediening is vlot, prettig en vakkundig Er hangt een ontspannen sfeer in het restaurant er word gelachen en er gaan grapjes heen en weer tussen de medewerkers Afstemming met de keuken verloopt ontspannen en soepel Alle drankjes en gerechten worden goed en in volgorde gebracht We worden tussendoor gevraagd of alles naar wens is en of het smaakt We komen hier soms, een bezoekje is echter zeker de moeite waard! Toppizza, heel leuke bediening . De pizza’s worden met liefde gebakken .

Betaalbaar dineren en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Eigenaar is een bijzonder lieve man uit Iran en runt het restaurant met zijn vrouw. Lekkere pizza’s en lekkere huisgemaakte limoncello.

Gezellig uitziend restaurant. Bediening snel en zeer vriendelijk. De pizza's waren goed heet gebakken. De calzone was mooi krokant. De deegkorst niet verbrand. Heel lekker deeg. De vulling van de calzone was erg goed. En zeker niet te zout. Heel erg lekkere calzone/pizza.

Best Italian place in town. They have good vegetarian options. People are very nice and the service is very good. Hospitality is Fabolous and the owner of the restaurant came and spoke to us in person asking about the food and speaking nicely with us. Food was very delicious and would definitely visit this place next time I'm in Groningen.

We ate here on King’s Night 2023, and the service and food were spectacular. Our two waiters were fast and knowledgeable, and the food was so good that our son ordered seconds (and he is a picky eater who prefers home cooked food by his mom—who is a chef). We’ll be returning for sure!

Heerlijk gegeten hier! Een drie gangen diner voor maar €32 p.p. Het waren allemaal grote porties en allemaal vers gemaakt. Ik had lasagne capricio echt super lekker en tartufo limoncello (huisgemaakte limoncello) echt aanraders. De eigenaren waren ook erg betrokken en vriendelijk. Ook de bediening was super vriendelijk en snel. Ook de Rosé smaakte hier goed. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

The pasta was okay (nothing special and a bit watery and flavourless). The tiramisu was the worst I had. Would not recommend the deserts. Maybe the pizzas are better.

Heerlijk gegeten in het authentieke restaurant. Vooral de spaghetti Bolognese is aan te raden. De carpaccio was ook heerlijk al had er iets minder balsamico op gekund. Tot slot, was het personeel ook erg vriendelijk. Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug.
