A busy restaurant with a very extensive menu. Excellent food! As is often the case with Italian restaurants, the dishes are rather "clinical," meaning you get exactly what you order without any side dishes. A tenderloin, for example, is a tenderloin with only a very small bowl of vegetables. It was a bit of a shock for me, but once you taste the dish, you can only enjoy this gem in Groningen!

We ordered different types of pizza, everything was very tasty. The crust was thin, just the way it should be after baking. We will definitely come back. Very cool atmosphere. One of the most soulful cafes) Thank you!

We made reservations for a large group. We were seated immediately when we came in. Food was good but not great. Service was good but a bit slow. Overall good experience.

Disappointing Experience I recently visited this restaurant in Groningen and was thoroughly unimpressed. The waiters were unfriendly and seemed reluctant to serve us since we didn't order any drinks. We placed a take-away order for pizza and ordered lasagna to eat in, but they packed both and brought the bill immediately without even checking if everything was to our satisfaction. To make matters worse, the "lasagna" they packed was actually spaghetti, which was also tasteless and lacked salt. The pizza was awful too. Given the poor service and incorrect order, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I've had great experiences at other restaurants in Groningen, but this one fell short in terms of hospitality and quality.

In itself quite nice food. Pizza and tiramisu fine. However, they put three drinks on the bill afterwards, not very nice of course! They also offered if we wanted to TASTE some homemade limoncello! What do you think? Charged 12.80 for two limoncello, without knowing. Bottom line: nice food, but they are scammers/unsolicited suppliers. Really a shame!

Simply a delicious, richly filled pesto pasta, with chicken and mushrooms. Fast service and professional staff.

It was super tasty, both the pizza and the pasta. The pizza was also easy to cut, don't worry ;) The staff was very attentive and friendly. The ambience was very nice and inviting. We would be happy to come back on our next visit! Absolutely recommended. The price is also totally fair.

We were here with a group of 15 people. We decided on a menu that we had previously been offered. So many pizzas were put on the table, something for everyone. Really recommended. However, we found the drink prices to be very high.

Very tasty food and friendly staff!

Went there spontaneously, immediately tried to get a table and realized it. Drinks and food came quickly and were great... even special requests were taken into account and that on King's Night. Top!!!

My girlfriend and I were there on April 20, 2025 and each ate a pizza. First of all: the restaurant was not worth the money! The pizza wasn't bad, but it was incredibly difficult to cut. The staff stood right next to it, but didn't offer any help, e.g. B. sharper knives. The people at the next table felt the same way. In general the staff seemed completely bored. Not only that: you had the impression that there was a bad mood among the staff. The food was so-so, there was nothing beforehand. Nothing was served afterwards either. No water was offered with the wine. So: service insufficient, food: sufficient minus, ambience: good. Conclusion: it's not worth the money.

First visit to this restaurant. Were assigned a great spot by the window. Our order was taken and then we saw people eating left and right who had come in later. Unfortunately our order was not passed on to the kitchen. The service was so nice and personable and the issue was resolved immediately. I especially remember the cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff. We will definitely come and eat again.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. We had a three-course meal for €37 (you can choose anything from the menu) and a nice bottle of wine. The burrata pizza is definitely recommended!

Friendly service and delicious pizza

I have no idea what the food is supposed to taste like here, because we couldn't even get past the threshold! The "about" information states "wheelchair-accessible entrance," so based on that information, we were confident wheelchair access was possible. But unfortunately, that wasn't possible. The threshold was impassable, at least 10 cm high, and when we asked the gentleman who "welcomed" us at the door if something could be arranged, like a ramp or something similar, he looked a bit blank and said he'd go find something. But after waiting five minutes, we decided to go to another restaurant. What a disgrace! Tell me, Mr. "Capricio," would you mind changing the information to "wheelchairs prohibited!"

It's a cozy Italian restaurant in the city center. Despite a fellow diner having tinnitus, the restaurant wasn't too noisy for him. The restaurant has one of the nicest staff in town. The food, however, is mediocre. The portions are good and there are many vegetarian dishes on the menu, but it's not traditional Italian. Tip: stick to pizza or pasta, but go elsewhere for fish.

The atmosphere was good, the service was okay, but the food wasn't great because after eating I felt really nauseous and I had to throw up, I think because the chicken in the pasta wasn't cooked very well.

We visited this restaurant today and were disappointed. The place is very noisy, the tables are too close together, preventing people from passing by, and you have to get up and let go. The pasta was too salty and had lots of bones. The pizza was dry and not very tasty.

We were there on Saturday evening around 5:45 p.m. We got the second-to-last unreserved table. The service was very attentive, engaging, and friendly. The food arrived in a reasonable time. It was both visually and tastefully excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are Italian or lived in Italy do not expect that this restaurant is like eating in Italy, the pasta carbonara is not a real one with pecorino and guanciale, the taste was good but is not a carbonara. The pizza was ok. On the other hand the service was good, the waiters were very kind.

Greeted friendly upon arrival, nice spot by the window. Enjoyed a nice meal together! We were right on time, because it was very busy.

Last weekend I had dinner with a group of six people in this cozy restaurant. The decor is simple, with an old-fashioned pizzeria atmosphere: small painted pictures on the wall and fake grapes hanging above you. We sat in the back of the restaurant, where it was less atmospheric than in the front. We chose the three-course menu. As a starter I had the Carpaccio di Mediterrano: salmon, rocket, pine nuts, capers, and dried tomatoes. However, I was disappointed with the salmon, the color was light and the taste was watery, which clearly indicated frozen fish. This was not what I expected from a carpaccio. Fortunately, the main course was much better. The Penne Milanese with cream sauce, saffron, courgettes, dried tomatoes, Parma ham, oyster mushrooms, gorgonzola and Parmesan cheese was delicious! The flavors were well balanced and the pasta was perfectly prepared. The service was clearly busy, which was noticeable. The waiting time was sometimes longer than desired and the service was not always fast, but the employees were friendly. To finish, we had the tiramisu, but unfortunately I found a long black hair in my dessert. All in all, it was a mixed experience.

Not very convinced. The food wasn't really bad, but it was bland and no one in the group thought it was very special. Service was borderline acceptable, took quite a while, but with a large group you notice it less. The atmosphere at the back of the restaurant, where we sat, is not very nice, but seems to be better at the front. For the money it could simply be better.

Often - very often - walked by, never walked in. Until yesterday. Friendly welcome by the (Persian) owner. We were put 'at the back', which was a shame because the 'front' was a lot more atmospheric. Service okay. Many dishes with arugula on the menu and I specifically ordered something without arugula. To my surprise it was served with a mountain of arugula... The pasta was fine, the wine too (bottle of 29.50 => okay), panna cotta was a bit too wet but all in all a positive feeling, especially after the chat with the owner who was proud that there were diverse population groups in his restaurant can work well together and accept and respect each other for who they are. Nice!

You can enjoy delicious and cozy Italian food here! Only pizza is of course cheaper (very tasty too), this time we had 3 courses with a nice wine. Recommended!

Pizza fine.. has been better before, been coming there for years.. Haven't been there in a while. Chardonnay and glass barely half full 6.20 that is really not possible! Too bad they are trying to cut back on this... it works exactly wrong. Unfortunately, many catering companies do not understand that...

Great atmosphere! The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice and the food is delicious. The owner was very nice and agreed to welcome us before closing time, which was a nice gesture and made us feel special. We will definitely come back to try more dishes on the menu. This place is a real gem among Italian restaurants. I highly recommend it!

The service was great, kind and attentive people. I ate a tomato soup, good size and delicious. My boyfriend ate a pizza, it was perfect size and tasted good.

The waiters kept bringing us wrong food and tried to make it seem our fault. We ordered soup, pizza and pasta, and all three tasted the same, very bland, the quality of the meat was very low too. Pasta arrabiata was made with spaghetti instead of penne, I suspect they reused the spaghetti after mistakenly bringing me Bolognese (they took it back to the kitchen). It was also very loud and hot in the room. We didn't enjoy our meal at all.

Cozy Italian restaurant. Fairly dark and old inside, but that gives a warm feeling. Food was very tasty and the dog was also welcome.

The pizza is as thin as a tarte flambée, no taste of the pond. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied.

Delicious pizzas ate in a cozy restaurant in the center of Groningen. Nice crispy base, not too thick. Good but not overly invested. For dessert we had a casata and panna cotta with a delicious homemade limoncello. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely come back here again.

Very narrow, very crowded, very loud, very slow. We also had the misfortune of sitting first next to the wide open door in the passage and then behind the kitchen in the passage. Not the least bit comfortable! And then we wait forever for the food. We won't be back, even though the pizza and the tuna steak were well prepared, but the latter was quite salty.

Super Italian restaurant, wonderful atmosphere!

Gluten-free base which was very tasty. Homemade and not a standard base which often happens. There was also the option for vegan cheese... very nice... I haven't had such good food in a long time.

Great food, very friendly service. The only pity was that they had difficulty keeping up with everything when it became very busy, having to wait half an hour for dessert. Wouldn't stop us from going there again next time 👍

Excellent Italian restaurant at the fish market in Groningen. We had a delicious meal here. We opted for the five-course surprise dinner. They were all good, tasty and freshly made portions. The service was also very friendly and hospitable, and also gave nice and good explanations of the dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also excellent (nice decor and ambiance). Prima Italiaan. Lekkere pasta's en pizza's. Voldoende keus voor vegetariërs, al hadden de meeste vega-pasta's gorgonzola. Die kon gelukkig worden weggelaten. Bediening was heel vriendelijk en vlot.

Vanavond 4 november 2023 heerlijk gegeten in Italiaans restaurant Capriccio. Gereserveerd om 19.30 Cocktail Aperol spritz & Limoncello spritz Bruschetta en Brucetta Boscaiole als voorgerecht. Heerlijk knapperig en niet zout Spaghetti Capricio en Lasagne Capricio als hoofdgerecht Glas wijn Negroamaro (super) Brand wit biertje Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst met een glimlach Het restaurant zit tjokvol maar op een prettige manier De eigenaar komt een praatje maken aan tafel Bediening is vlot, prettig en vakkundig Er hangt een ontspannen sfeer in het restaurant er word gelachen en er gaan grapjes heen en weer tussen de medewerkers Afstemming met de keuken verloopt ontspannen en soepel Alle drankjes en gerechten worden goed en in volgorde gebracht We worden tussendoor gevraagd of alles naar wens is en of het smaakt We komen hier soms, een bezoekje is echter zeker de moeite waard!
