Nice place for lunch, clean and with a good atmosphere. The barista, Sasha, is friendly and served us well. The pastrami sandwich is highly recommended!

Friendly service, but it's very dirty/messy (just vacuum/mop it), and the restrooms also have overflowing trash cans. The pastrami sandwich tastes okay, but way too much margarine.

Ordered online, only received two of the four items I ordered. And then they couldn't reach me. Very bad. The sandwiches and such are very tasty, but the fries are overpriced considering the portion size. Too bad!

Weird vibe. Unfortunately no table service - Loud heavy metal playing with heavy dancing from staff - which is all good but made the atmosphere really intense and weird. Orange and ginger tea was really rubbish

Really bad experience. They charged more than 10e for a Japanese style sando when the bread is the cheapest Albert Heijn option, a tiny slice of pastrami I'm it and that's it. No napkins, no cutlery (ok maybe not needed) and non existent service. My friend complained about the bread and they told her it was of the day They didn't get fresh bread delivered and they had to buy from the supermarket, but is not the first time happening there the same thing with the bread. Super late and slow service. We got our drinks 15mins late and the food (3 sandwiches) came a30mins after we ordered. Also they mixed up our white bread/whole wheat bread order and when we pointed out they said that it would take another 20 minutes or so to have the correct sandwitches. We should have read the reviews better and stay away. For something so overpriced as a 10-12e sandwitch it better be impeccable and not with that type of bread.

They should honestly just remove anything chicken on the menu, its never in stock.

This simple burger costs 12.50 euros. Fries with ketchup are 6 euros. Heineken in a foil can cost 4 euros. Regardless of whether it's a holiday, the quality of the burger is simply not worth 12.50 euros. And you have to wait 30 minutes and go to the counter to ask for help before you can get the burger and fries for 18.50 euros. The burger is just a simple hamburger patty, a slice of cheddar cheese, a standard burger bun, and sauce. As shown in the photo. It's not worth it. I recommend taking the ferry to the city center. For the same price, the burger will have more pickles, sauce, and lettuce. The point is, this isn't the city center, but you'll have to spend more time and money for poor quality. Always good and tasty sandwiches. Service was also good; during Sail, my heavily pregnant friend was allowed to use the restroom for free, after being refused by Next earlier.

Delicious smoothies and wonderful sandwiches! We also found €6 for a well-filled breakfast bun to be reasonable in Amsterdam. The staff were incredibly friendly and outgoing; they clearly enjoyed their work.

Very nice place. Completely empty during the week in the late morning. Very surprising and varied selection of sandwiches, burgers, fun buns, and drinks. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Definitely recommended.

We ordered four drinks and had been waiting for about 15 minutes when we noticed that customers who arrived after us were receiving their orders first. I went to the counter to complain. Then, exactly 28 minutes after we ordered, we finally received the first of our four drinks. Even after that, we saw other tables who ordered later being served before us. 33 minutes after we placed our order that we received our final drink. I'm writing this review in the hope that no other customer has to go through the same experience.

Nice coffee, food ok. A bit of a restless and impersonal atmosphere inside. The staff seems distracted, everything is out of stock. Compared to the many alternatives within walking distance, I don't think I'll come back here. Edit: after reading several reviews, I really only recommend this place as a last resort, apparently there are structural problems that are difficult to solve.

I STRONGLY recommend choosing a different restaurant. The food quality was extremely disappointing, and the staff didn’t seem to care about the service they provided. I specifically asked for a condiment to be left out, and it was still included. The bathrooms were filthy, and the outdoor seating area was littered with cigarette butts and trash—clearly no effort was made to clean before opening. This also applies to the neighboring restaurant, which looked equally neglected. Our table hadn’t been wiped down either. I truly regret not picking another nearby option. I’m tired of spending my hard-earned money on places that charge premium prices but offer subpar food and zero attention to detail. I don’t mind paying more—just match the quality to the price.

Love that there's some vegan options (croissants are solid) and the atmosphere is fine (patio, good music), but the service is really poor. Paid for a smoothie 15 minutes before my ferry - they seemingly served several other people and just forgot my order. Place wasn't packed by any means and I've experienced orders taking a while before, so this isn't completely unexpected. Just a shame for a place that could be THE quick stop over on your way to the ferry.

Spontaneously ended up here. Cozy little. Burgers and sandwiches. We were hungry so that went well. Super sweet, cheerful woman in the service. Just the right size burger and those thick, skin-on fries. I will definitely go here again!

The service was practically nonexistent, and the beer glasses were dirty. The burger looked nothing like the pictures. I’ve attached a photo for comparison and the meat had a strange smell. I would not recommend this place!

Had to wait a very long time for the food and payment. It's a shame, there's a lot of choice, but the fries weren't too salty to eat. Pace can be faster, especially with peak hours or more staff!!😔😔

Had a really nice lunch here. What a unique menu. The sandwiches are richly filled and the portions are very large! It is affordable, the sandwich was €7 and the sandwich €8. I am very impressed, I will definitely come here more often.

Visited as a family in the way to a day out in city centre. We dined in for a late breakfast/ lunch, let’s call it brunch sandwiches. They were amazing, the bread are soooooo soft and fresh and fillings super tasty. We had Bangkok Surprised, KimJung Who, Dr Ruebenstein and Smiley Greta TLT. The only word of caution would be the Smiley Greta TLT, the soy ‘bacon’ is not tasty at all.

The servers were very polite and accommodating, sadly they were very busy so the service was a bit slow. This was on a market day though, so, many people were coming to eat. The food itself was very good with a decent price, unfortunately they had very limited options from being busy.

Coffee is the best in the area. Absolutely delicious! Had the gruyere kimchi toasty. Was very nice but service was a tiny bit slow and a bit more gruyere would have been nice. All in all a great place. We'll be back!!

came here a couple weeks ago with my friend, it took 20 mins to order, my chai latte took 25 minutes to come out, and a whole 50 MINS to get our food. even for a sit-down restaurant this is way too much, but for a place where you order at the counter it is absolutely unacceptable. while me and my friend waited outside, two of the cooks came outside to smoke! i understand how it is as i have worked in a cafe before and am also a smoker, but i’d never do that while there’s 20 people waiting upwards to an hour for their food!! the burgers were okay, but lacked some flavor. the fries were really good. a worker let us take free drinks from the fridge for our inconvenience at the end, which was a kind gesture, but that doesn’t make up for our lost time. overall, okay food but not worth 40€ for only two people and an hour wait.

These are not tasty Smashed Burgers. Came closer to a FEBO burger.

First had to pay too much due to a type of error, which could not be refunded, so I had to pay in cash. Then I got the wrong drink and I asked for an egg and they forgot it at first and in the end I got egg salad instead of an egg. 🥲

We came as a group to get some lunch and when we ordered it took about 45 minutes to get our food and after asking they seem to have forgotten our order completely. I understand that it was slightly busy but the people working seemed to have no idea what they were doing and who ordered what food. They came to us multiple times with food and drinks that we never ordered. They need to improve their service!

Delicious kimchi smash burger 👍🏻

Service was nice, food was ordered at the counter, although it wasn't too busy, an order for 4 people took 40 minutes, the kitchen seemed overwhelmed, instead an employee was busy squeezing limes for about 15 minutes. Food arrived one at a time every minute, some of it was only lukewarm, but the quality was ok. Overall I wouldn't recommend it. At least free drinks were given at the end.

A great spot on the NDSM wharf to grab a delicious sandwich, burger, loaded fries, or pastry. Their chicken burger and kimchi fries were amazing. There is a nice selection of IPA beers and you can sit on the terrace with a lovely view.

Bangkok surprise — very good. Skip the eggs sando, it was nothing special.

The Reuben I got was insanely good. The vegetarian breakfast sandwiches were very tasty, and the cinnamon roll looked good but I didn't try it.

Lunch on a wintery summers day. Dr Rueby's sandwiches some decaf coffee. Sandwiches were delicious, coffee well balanced for intensity and flavour. A great lunch. Thank you. Friendly staff only make it more welcoming.

Not sure if my opinion is objective as after freezing cold trip on a ferry you are looking for a place to get hot coffee and snack, everything probably will be tasty for you 😂 but I enjoyed my cappuccino and mascarpone strawberry bun. Place is small but cozy. So if you are in the same situation after ferry, I think you’ll like it too here :-) it is just across ferry stop.

Excellent cappuccino to-go, although slightly on the lukewarm side. Caffeine-free coffee possible. If you have to wait for the ferry, this is a great opportunity to get a cup of coffee.

Small restaurant, orders must be placed at the counter and paid for immediately. Despite there being fewer guests, we didn't point this out. Smoothie good - buns with egg and avocado okay. Doesn't invite you to come back.

Food isn't tasty, if you'll order anything included bread/bun you receive a small amount of fillings. Coffee is everytime good.

The staff was very nice. Unfortunately they had many things on the menu not available at this time. The bread was a bit soft and would have been better with a firm bun. The Korean fried chicken did not taste fresh, it was not crispy but sometimes a bit chewy. I hope they can improve quickly because it is a nice location with a nice terrace.

Cappuccino was a bit cold and the pastries were very dry. Honestly get a pastry from Albert Heijn around the corner because they’re fresher and tastier than here. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

In alle haast om de volgende boot te halen, was ik n persoonlijk item verloren, die door het personeel netjes bewaard is en op mijn vragen naar mij is opgestuurd, zonder verdere kosten. Heel fijn geregeld! We komen graag nog es terug

Had a quick lunch here. Both the latte and caramel frappe were great. Fried egg brioche bun and fried chicken sandwich were tasty. Convenient location next to the ferry.

I’ve been eating their sandwiches for at least a couple years now. Always delivery btw. And they are excellent. Like, easily the finest option in its class throughout Noord. Unique too. Which goes a long way in this land of homogenous though hardy foods. So, when I discovered that they now offer a line of burgers I ordered one immediately. The Grand Slam Classic. An absolute David of a burger. The moments of its consumption now a core memory in my life. I grew. Literally. Smash burgers are all the rage now in Amsterdam and so be it. Wholesome, hand made, practical, un-pretentious and delicious. These are what burgers are supposed to be. The people at Caroll’s know. Eat at Caroll’s.

Smashed burgers and frozen Margarita, etend in het avondzonnetje met uitzicht op het IJ, wat wil je nog meer deze zomer? Je zit hier echt heerlijk. Het is een gezellig-hip zaakje met een leuk team. De burgers zijn erg goed, maar de sandwiches zijn ook echt het proberen waard; Interessante broodjes met goede ingrediënten die er uitzien als een plaatje. In de ochtend ook leuk, lekkere pastries met goede koffie. Fijne manier om je dag te beginnen.

Ik werd vandaag geholpen door een vrouw, Bente. Ik ben door haar heel goed geholpen en het beste broodje kip in tijden die ik heb gehad!
