Restaurant Palladio in Jordaan

Nobody paid any attention to us after sitting for about twenty minutes. Food was good, but again nobody came with bills after long waiting, we had to go to the desk and asked for the check.

Terrible....one waiter was very kind and did his best. Everything else was terrible, everything from Sligro, canned food, nothing fresh. Truly terrible food. Absolutely disgraceful. Unworthy of Italian cuisine.

Was very happy to discover this restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff. The ribeye special complete with roasted potato, tomatoes and arugula with balsamic glaze was delicious. Meat was absolutely tender. Great value for the price. I tasted my sister's spinach ricotta ravioli with lemon butter sauce. My cab franc was also quite good. Very glad to run into this restaurant l.

My favorite Italian restaurant! 🤌I always come here to celebrate special occasions. The ambiance is lovely, cozy but a bit chic, with white tablecloths and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The menu is small but always changing, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. Portions are generous, and the quality is consistently top notch. Really good price–quality ratio too. Their wine list is incredible, it’s a huge selection, from great affordable bottles to really special ones. The staff are always so friendly and helpful with recommendations (especially for wine!). I also love their weekend lunch option — it’s such a nice way to spend an afternoon with great food and a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

Lovely Italian restaurant with fresh pasta. Great place to go before nearby Boom Chicago. Also two original Herman Brood paintings on the wall. I hope he paid an outstanding bill with those when he was short on cash!

What a disappointment. Despite a charming neighborhood, this restaurant has a number of missteps: rushed service, a forgotten prosecco, and no dessert offer – as if they couldn't wait to see us leave. We left with the unpleasant feeling of being too many... and on empty stomachs. The quality/price ratio is simply indecent, especially since no effort is made to offer a warm or memorable moment. A place to avoid, unless you like paying a lot to be neglected.

It was a very bad experience. The boss was so absorbed by the presence of a group that he forgot the other customers... The quantity on the plate is really minimal, we were not able to enjoy our glass of wine which was forgotten. In short, I absolutely do not recommend, given the cost well beyond the quality offered.

Went to sit down an an older woman who I think was the owner was extremely rude. So rude we left the restaurant. I get you can be busy but this was weird. I’d give it a miss.

Comically terrible service. No idea how you can only serve bruschetta for a lunch option and then take 2 hours to serve it. Had water poured over us, and when asking if non alcoholic beer was available, the answer was “no” and a swift walk away. Truly bizarre, still in slight shock.

Spent an hour waiting for food, followed by another hour waiting for drinks. Didn’t provide water after asking multiple times. Rude service and no soap in the bathrooms.

We spontaneously found this Italian restoran. and it was like a Christmas miracle for us. Very tasty, beautiful and atmospheric. I want to come back. The owners of the restaurant are sincere and pleasant people. I recommend. And I will come back again myself.

DON’T COME HERE! Don’t waste your money, time, and energy. The owner with glasses was extremely rude with a poor attitude. Food was honestly decent. But it didn’t make up for the horrible service. You’ll have a more enjoyable experience if you jumped into a canal in the dead of winter and grab a fish bare handed, cook it over coals on a bridge, while dodging bicyclists and weird dudes on scooters. Seriously, avoid this place. Read the other reviews!

Poor service and experience overall. We came in at around 9.25pm for dinner, and the restaurant had a few empty seats. We got 2 pastas to share and they were both average at best. Portions were small as well. When we were trying to make payment, we realised they had mistakenly charged us 6.25€ for water, even though we only had tap water. We tried to inform the more senior server or owner. He saw we were holding cash, and was visibly very irritated, and said that he didn’t have enough change for us. After realizing he overcharged us and passing us the amended bill, he berated us for ordering two pastas and having tap water, and said “this is not that kind of restaurant”. We were baffled by his unprofessional behavior. After reading the reviews here we realised we weren’t the only ones who dealt with his rude attitude. The only positive point about this restaurant was that the other waiter who served us was polite and friendly. Overall the food was subpar with very limited items, so don’t worry, we won’t be back.

Very ordinary meal from a fairly limited menu. Probably our worst meal during a 7 day trip to Holland.

3.5/5 A cozy Italian restaurant in a central location in Amsterdam. It was recommended to us, so we stopped by for a dinner for 2. We tried their raw beef with black truffle, the truffle was flavorful and the dish was well made. For mains, we had their white truffle fettuccine and the special octopus stew. Again, the truffle sauce was delicious but the pasta was a bit on the stale side. The octopus stew, though, was a winner for me. One of the better octopus dishes I've tried in the Netherlands, it was cooked the right amount: not chewy or dry. Served in a tomato-based stew with garlic bread, it was really well made. They also have a decent wine menu to pair with the dishes, and the atmosphere is very cozy with white tablecloths. We were happy with the service overall, the staff was attentive and our dishes arrived fast. We would come back to try their desserts.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the summer air. The pasta is to die for. Between the white tablecloths, a nice wine, and an elegant appetizer, it made the whole night feel romantic and relaxed.

Even though we made a reservation a few days in advance, there was no table ready for us. After placing us at the least favourite table we were ignored and attended with the least effort, particulary from the senior waiter who was very impolite. We watched for a while and decided to leave. Lucky us we found a much nicer place with better service just around the corner.

We had a great experience, from the moment we set foot on the restaurant service was amazing, people were really kind and effective with our order. In terms of food, this place is great, pasta is clearly home made and sauces are amazing. 100% recommend it and I will try to come baxk

Food is good. Service is very bad. No one seated us. We just took a seat ourselves after ten minutes waiting and no one even paid attention to us. Took menus ourselves as again no one paid attention to us. No one refilled drinks or asked us if we want to repeat them. To pay we had to come to the counter as it took too long already and no one would ever come to the table while we were sitting with empty plates for 15 minutes.

We managed to get a table outside (uncomfortable plastic chairs). The owner was immediately rude to us but we were hungry and everywhere was busy. The menu was limited and overpriced (6 euros for water?) An hour later I asked how long our food would be and they had lost the order. Being heavily pregnant decided to leave as didn't have another hour to wait. No apology from the owner, no discount on bill. Have no idea how this place is open yet alone has reasonable reviews - seemed totally chaotic and a weirdly uncomfortable atmosphere.

almost 2 years later, 5,000 miles away, i still think of their pasta everyday. Servers made my stay in their city very special and heartwarming

Very strange owner. Called and they said we would have a spot within 5 minutes. Went in and she ignored us the whole time while we tried to speak to her. Then she waved us away as we stood in the hallway. Really super rude.

Yesterday night we had dinner in Palladio. Don’t judge the storefront when it’s closed if you walk by. When it’s open, the restaurant is beautiful and cozy. We had wonderful and so tasty meals. The service was perfect. And we enjoyed this dinner so much. Generous quantity and soooo fresh products. The red wine primitivo was so good ♥️ Great job to the team 👌🏻 Thanks so much.

Noisy restaurant. We were a bit unlucky that there was a noisy Italian company, so I sometimes couldn't hear myself, let alone my table companion. Fairly pricey buratta (and card) that was ok but not special considering the price. Then a pasta bolognaise that I didn't think was special either. Glass of wine for 8 euros. Had to wait an hour between starter and main course. This was the first and last time I have been here.

I don’t know how anyone could not give this place 5 stars. Phenomenal food, lovely wait staff, great energy. If you want someone over your shoulder every five minutes asking questions not exactly the vibe. But no problem asking for anything. I was finishing a book and didn’t notice they had closed and they just said to take my time they were cleaning up. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Very tasty, but the portions of the pasta are manageable. Would still come again!

Attractive restaurant. Good wine list

Casual, fast and efficient service. Very good, really succulent dishes. (Truffle pasta/prawn gnocchi) However, I find the quantities really limited. (1/4 more would really be appreciated, especially for good eaters)

We called the restaurant if it was possible to come and pick some food up. They said yes. The food tasted very nice, but the portion size was really small. This is besides the fact that it was just smacked in a container. No cheese extra no nothing. Very careless. We asked them to put foil around the plastic container. Which they promised. But was not done

Located in one of the busiest and vibrant areas in Amsterdam, this authentic Italian restaurant has been a delight for their cusine. They put their passion and love of cooking into the dishes, simply worth the try if you are in the neighbourhood! The service definitely reminds me of the typical Italian service, you know you need to have patience 😉

Diverse menu and good wine list. Had a nice dinner here with some friends. Servers were sometimes hard to communicate with.

Très bon, mais 3 frites avec 10 bouts de salade avec l'entrecôte dommage. Mais la viande reste de bonne qualité. Mauvais rapport quantité-prix.

Very nice Italian food, not to cheap, a glass wine starts at 6 euro so count on 60-80 euro per person, but its sure worthwhile, the food and the staff is great, make a reservation its often crowded. Its an open kitchen.

We had a very nice experience at Palladio. It was our first visit and we had a nice table outside. Kudos to the staff, it was a very busy evening and they did a great job. The dishes we had for were all tasty and very good sized portions. The burrata was creamy and the balsamic syrup with it really made the dish sing. The ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta was rich and indulgent. Yummy sage butter sauce. The steak was cooked to temperature and was flavorful. The pecorino wine was a surprise and perfect for a nice summer evening.

Ein toller Italiener mit fantastischem Essen. Sophia im Service ist immer sehr entgegenkommend und sehr schnell. Reservierung empfehle ich, obwohl wir auch ohne immer einen Tisch bekommen haben.

Variedad extremadamente pequeña. No tienen pizza y es Italiano!!!! El plato de pasta normal, caro y diminuto. (La intención es que compres el segundo plato) Le doy dos puntos solo porque la persona que atendió ( solo la mujer) fue muy amable y sonriente. En síntesis extremadamente caro para ser un plato normal, inclusive las bebidas !!!
