We went to Cecconi’s Amsterdam to grab some drinks and appetizers and they didn’t disappoint. Food was great, even a “simple” dish like Burrata was served in an original way compared to most of the places in the city. The atmosphere is fancy and relaxed, everything is curated and the staff is attentive and friendly. Grazie mille❤️

Today I had the pleasure of eating at Cecconi's, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. As someone who has to eat gluten-free, it was a huge relief to find that this restaurant not only offers many gluten-free options, but is also willing to adapt dishes. That shows that they really think along with their guests, and I really appreciate that. The eggplant with cheese was definitely a highlight and, in my opinion, a dish that should always remain on the menu. In addition, I enjoyed the burrata with gluten-free bread, which was a real treat. And the fact that they also offer gluten-free pasta is great! The taste of the pasta was fantastic, but as a tip I would like to say that a little more sauce would make it even better. It was a bit on the dry side, but the taste made up for it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. They thought along well and made me feel welcome and comfortable. One point for improvement is the choice of desserts. There was only one gluten-free option available, and unfortunately it was disappointing. The taste was stale and unpleasant, probably due to the eggs. It would be recommended to put something like panna cotta on the menu, a deliciously fresh dessert that is also gluten-free. That would really complete the offer. I'm not someone who is easily completely satisfied, but Cecconi's certainly impressed me. The quality of the food, the attention to dietary requirements and the hospitality of the staff make this restaurant highly recommended. With a few minor adjustments such as a little more sauce on the pasta and a better gluten-free dessert offering, it would be perfect for me.

I’ve been to other Cecconi’s branches and they were all wonderful in terms of service and food. However, this experience was extremely disappointing. The waiter, Roberto, was so frustratingly slow and indifferent acting like he had zero interest in doing his job. Every time we asked for something, he would wander off and forget about it. We had to repeat our request three times just to get what we needed. Absolutely unacceptable service compared to the high standards Cecconi’s is known for.

Food was good especially the tiramisu! Unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes before we received the bill and paid.

Actually a nice restaurant, we were warmly welcomed and the waiter was also very friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for the pasta and the restaurant wasn't even full. When the pasta finally came, it was a small portion and the taste wasn't convincing either. So we waited for an hour, paid and left the restaurant hungry again.

The best place to go for a dinner in Amsterdam. I went there with my Italian boyfriend and we had an amazing en memorable evening, the food was so amazing with a cheerful waitresses. The live music makes it more enjoyable. I liked also the decoration of the restaurant, so cozy and classy place. I will definitely go back again and again.

First impression, a restaurant like from old movies. Stylish decorations. The food was good, but not as exceptional as you might expect. The service was very friendly and attentive, however we had to wait a bit too long for the food.

Heerlijk gegeten! Daarnaast ook zeer vriendelijke bediening. Aanraders: Buratta (starter), Steak tartaar (starter), pizza margherita (main) risotto (main) & tiramisu (dessert). De locatie is ook geweldig!!!

Great location, staff very friendly and welcoming, but the food let us down. It wasn’t fresh causing me indigestion and discomfort. A place like that should pride themselves on food just like the ambience.

Very pretty, wonderful atmosphere. We visited with a group of 3 at the tail end of a christmas market river cruise. The food was good, not great, and the waiter informed me rhat no changes to the dishes were allowed, when i asked for extra toppings on my pizza. Unfortunately, service was worse than just slow. The waiter barely acknowledged me when i would request things as he walked by, would take half of the tables cocktail order and start to walk away. When someone asked how everything was, my wife pointed out that her salad had wilted greens, they offered to bring a new one which she declined, because we were nearly done. Our freind asked for butter for the bread, we were told that they don't offer butter but the restaurant manager offered olive oil which she accepted, but she never brought it. At the end of the meal, my friend pointed out that she never got the olive oil, which was subsequently delivered. We requested wine when our dinner was served and it arrived after we finished our meals, only after we asked where it was. Nothing was evered offered to make up for all the mistakes, and nothing was ever deducted from the bill (such as the salad). If I could select 0 stars for service i would. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

1. Table situation (3 stars): Unfortunately, we received a small table for 4 people for 5 people, and this was not communicated in advance. As a result, we had to sit very tight during our corporate Christmas dinner, which was not very pleasant. That's why I'm giving this 3 stars. 2. Service and staff (5 stars): I give 5 stars for the staff and service. 3. Food and Wines: The level of food belongs to a simple cafe and not to a restaurant with such prices. The wines were excellent Conclusion: Overall it is a nice restaurant. I would come back to eat a pizza there with a friend, but not for an extensive dinner.

The location was great, almost next door to our hotel. We had higher hopes but left disappointed. This is a pretentious restaurant with average food at most. Tables are close to one another, rather high also. Little space to get into our seat. When entering the restaurant, there is a "hostess" that checks your reservation and walks you to your table. She could not have been more disinterested. It took quite a while before we were acknowledged, after that service was fine. Food: tiramisu 7/10, tagliatelle bolognese, 6/10, carpaccio 4/10, ricotta 7.5/10. Atmosphere: pretentious. Not recommended.

Hoewel het pand en de sfeer mooi en gezellig zijn. Is de service en het eten erg slecht. Bord pasta was koud, tafel veel te krap voor aantal personen van de groep. Hadden gereserveerd maar moesten als nog een half uur wachten voor we aan tafel konden. Eten allemaal erg zout en slecht in verhouding voor smaak. Yellowfin tuna lemon voorgerecht was praktisch een hap limoen. Nee geen aanrader.

We left Cecconi’s disappointed today unfortunately. It started with the hostesses that showed a rude attitude for no reason. We ordered the Focaccia which was very dry and the Lobster Pasta that was CRAZY salty. The amount of salt must have been 4x the acceptable amount (and I personally like salty foods). We sent it back nicely and did not get any apologies. The Risotto and the Burrata Pizza were fine. The service level was just not good at all for a luxury restaurant like this. After finishing our food, the waitress dropped the bill on our table without us asking and she did not make eye contact or say anything. After receiving the cash she did not come back with the remaining change...? We will not come back here, it’s a shame..

Great place to celebrate with a group of people. The atmosphere is lovely, cosy and warm, the service is very friendly and the food is fresh and delicious! We ordered the burrata and parmigiana as starters (we would definitely recommend both!!) and arrabbiata pasta, chicken, and mushroom risotto as mains; roasted potatoes, rocket salad and spinach as sides; with tiramisu as a dessert. Everything was tasty, we enjoyed ourselves very much!

Great,trendy,classy place. Food was delicious. Drink also(Prosecco,Luna..) We ate pizza with prosciutto. The dough was beautiful, soft and crunchy. The atmosphere was pleasant, they had a small orchestra. We had a table with a view of the pizza masters, which was a nice experience, we watched how the food was prepared. According to the popularity of this restaurant, the bill was not big at all. 80e We ate pizza, some Italian starter with truffles, a large bottled water and 4 prosecco. I recommend booking in advance by e-mail because it is unlikely that you will find a place without a reservation. I strongly recommend this place. The employees were very kind.

Don’t get the tuna tartare. Vitelli tonata was lovely

The food was 3/5, however, management skills from top to bottom needs to be instilled. I get the vibe the place has accomplished many things in the past few years so they might have stopped trying to still win that customer satisfaction. I took a friend yesterday to celebrate our reunion that was visiting from San Francesco to Cecconi’s at the Soho House yesterday evening. Friend staff, beautiful environment … But unfortunately the pizza doesn’t meet the same expectations neither the dry focaccia additionally No Live Music as mention on the Google passport page. Defiantly will not be a return customer American Dutch resident and company owner. #Fast ItalianFood

The second time in this restaurant, you find yourself in the atmosphere from the film. The food is delicious, mostly Italian, we took pizza, tartare (coarsely chopped), meat schnitzel (very soft). I recommend it (the check is quite high)

Worst experience in a long time! Not used to leaving reviews on the internet but this dinner deserves feedback. A deplorable welcome where we were made to change places twice to wait while waiting for the table then error on the proposed table and new wait. Once installed, the worst is yet to come. A waiter as bad as unpleasant but up to the task of inedible dishes. To flee!!!

Excellent service staffing great food

The service is excellent and the food is special. I tried the arrabiata, risotto and burrata salad and this dish wins the aubergine parmigiana 👍👍

We were tired and hungry. Just walked past the restaurant and saw the nice interior vibe and decided to give it a go ~ It was inside soho house but non-members can go too. It was 7:45, busy and busting on a sataurday night, and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get in. Service is great. Atmosphere is awesome, a bit loud as everyone is chatting happily. Love the environment. Food is great and tasty, I like it , didn’t give 5 star only because it’s not mind blowing (keep the 5th star for serious ones) but I really enjoyed the dinner with my parents Food also comes quite quick even if it’s busy, it’s a plus. I like the open kitchen seeing people working in there is quite fun. We didn’t order wine so spending with a full stomach is 150€ for 4 person which is amazing in such a place. Definitely would love to go again

Cecconi's is a wonderful place for dinner! The location is stylish and atmospheric, ideal for a night out with someone special. The staff were friendly and caring, making us feel welcome straight away. We really enjoyed the pastas, especially the lobster and bolognese, both of which were perfectly seasoned and prepared with care. The quality of the food and the ambiance made this a successful evening. In short, highly recommended for anyone who loves Italian dishes in a beautiful setting!

My father was recently. Ordered everything. Appetizer comes. We are still eating and the waiter removes his plate. My father taps his hand softly. Like don't take it. Still busy. 5 minutes later the chef comes why are you hitting the waiter. Hitting??? What an exaggeration. Talking about this for hours. Just don't stop. Whole food ruined. Normally he has to ask if you have finished eating. But none of it. Just grab it. Strange, isn't it? Been here at least 20 times. But never come again.

It’s called hidden gem. The view from restaurant over the canal is very nice, recommended. Make sure you make a reservation in advance and try now to change anything such as have a kid join your company. Food was delicious, but the service was a little bit disappointed: 1. We know we had limited time for lunch, multiple staffs continue came by and rush us with order, finish the food and immediately clean up each plate that was just empty. What I didn’t understand was, there were still free tables (same size) in the area. So why that hurry? We left on time anyway. 2. They cleaned up the table very fast and I knew that my daughter left her toy behind. We went immediately back, just after 5 minutes we left the restaurant, everything was cleaned up and nobody saw anything. It was pink which you won’t missed it. I guess they just simply throw it away since it’s a toy. For such a “high-end” hotel, we expected a little bit more friendly atmosphere.

We dine here weekly with clients, largely due to the convenient location near our office. Unfortunately, our experiences lately have been very disappointing, with the quality of service seemingly declining week by week. In recent weeks, we’ve felt rushed on multiple occasions. It appears the priority is more on turning tables quickly than on providing a welcoming dining experience. After exactly two hours, the staff is already waiting by our table with the bill, without us even asking. It feels as if we’re booking a “time slot” rather than a relaxed lunch or dinner. The final straw came with our recent reservation for five people, which we wanted to change to six. Apparently, adding one guest comes with extra conditions, as we were informed that we now had to order from a pre-selected menu. This feels incredibly unfriendly to loyal customers who dine here regularly and often recommend the restaurant to others. If this had been a one-time issue, we could have overlooked it, but the repeated lack of flexibility and increasing indifference make it hard to justify returning to Cecconi's. It's truly disappointing, as the location and concept are great, but the hospitality now leaves much to be desired.

Then before the horrible service for an Italian restaurant one should accept the Italian custom of not rushing the food. Don't serve the second two minutes after the first and then act as if you asked to wait. Secondly, for such a well-reviewed restaurant, the agnolleti are not fresh, as they were still hard when they were served, so they are either dry or very poorly frozen. But getting the Ragu Mamma Mia wrong is audacious, Italy's main sauce and you've made it worse than a supermarket microwave pasta, very disappointing. Don't go there because you risk wasting your money with poor service and food.

Visited this place last night , and it was everything but good. Waiter wasn’t really sure what he was doing he couldn’t even take my order properly ! Negroni was average and half of order was missing! When the food arrived nothing was ready from a napkin to cutlery ! Bad place really is!

The place is charming but very noisy and dark The menu leaves something to be desired, the dishes are too expensive for the quality. The dish I chose was inedible, much, much too salty, as for the presentation, it clearly left something to be desired. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. (The dish was “caccio e peppe”)

Loved this place. We went on a night out. Staff are wonderful, fast, and efficient. Food was fantastic - very fresh and delicious. Overall ambiance is perfect, they even had live jazz band playing. I'll return in a heartbeat.

They really do not appreciate guests. Came around 5pm for a cocktail, bar and restaurant almost empty. Yet the hostess told us: no space. This is not the first time; there is a pattern of bad service and arrogant personnel. Pity

The staff was not doing justice to the food. They put everything on the table without leaving time between the courses. No introduction was given to the dishes. I feel sorry for the cook. When the desert was served, the main course plates were not even removed. The coffee tasted very bad, but my complaint was neglected by the staff. But they did insist on a tip. We had 3 hours to enjoy the diner but apparently they wanted us to leave already after 1,5 hours. Our table was placed in the middle of the corridor making it a very crowded ambiance. Taking all this into consideration I would not recommend the restaurant.

So the restaurant is stunning in the inside I love the location it’s super accessible and easy to find. We ordered 6 things (and we got a extra olive oil type of bread as service) and then also 3 drinks. So we ordered pizza margarita that was simply delicious and it was also freshly made I could see it since they have an open kitchen. The lobster pasta was definitely overrated especially for that price it had a sea taste with tomatoes I mean it was nice but the thing that disappointed me was the fact that the lobster meat was only in pasta but not in the lobster itself the shelf was just there for the look so I couldn’t taste the real lobster taste. I added the chili olive oil that was on the table to the pasta to give the flavor more depth. Than we also ordered the truffle roasted potatoes were delicious. They had a nice crispy outside and soft in the inside had a lot of flavor you could smell and taste the truffle perfectly. Then bread was very nice as service it was nice but very greasy but that’s the purpose of the dish so can’t complain it was very nice it kinda reminded me of Turkish bread dipped in olive oil. They unfortunately didn’t had a lot of desert options the ice cream (gelato) was simply delicious but they could’ve added more like spectacular less boring flavors. The flan was okay it was nice but again nothing spectacular. The drinks were very mid we had virgin mojitos but instead of using sprite they used water so the lime taste was strong. They didn’t had a lot of mocktails as option so that was unfortunate. But besides that service and food was nice and the place looked stunning as well. This might be one of the best Italians spots in Amsterdam even tho it’s more on the expensive side.

World class food and atmosphere. That lobster spaghetti is special!

Elegantly decorated, very clean and quite spacious with live jazz music when i went. Attentive and formal service. Menu includes a good selecetion of italian based dishes which tasted very nice and fresh. Drinks were also tasty. A bit on the pricier side but would reccomend for those looking for a casual finer dining experience.

I will recommend the meatball’s and the pizza. If you like spicy go for the salami, ‘nduja and ricotta pizza.

Foood was cold and got me sick after dinner

I never understand how some hosts can be so rude and unkind. Every time we visited this place, the host was incredibly unfriendly. Despite the rude host, we decided to return twice more because the food was good. However, if we were more familiar with the city, we would have chosen to avoid this place.

Went to the special Sunday brunch today. Very tasty meal. Lots of fresh vegetables, grilled or in salads. Super porchetta, steak tartare and delicious deserts 👍

Such a wonderful decor wasted on abysmal service. The only saving grace is their manager Antonio who, with his Italian sense and commitment to hospitality took care of us.

The food left us with a really bad indigestion, it was hard to figure out which dish was responsible (maybe the beef tartare ?). This was quite disappointing considering the price tag on the food. The service and ambiance were nice and that is the only good thing I can say about this place.

Very bad i don’t recommend it and pricey also the service was awful. despite all that When were leaving I asked for our change which is my right if it was small, they were laughing and talking to each other sarcastically, as if I wasn’t there😡 We ordered an avocado salad and pasta not worth the hype it wasn’t great. The glasses weren’t clean.They brought everything together and place it at the edge of the table their table small so image how we struggled which leads us to fill our Plates and ask them to take the empty ones which takes a while Unsatisfied with the experience

So not worth it. We went for lunch, we ordered meatballs that were nice, with lovely focaccia. Main course was cacio e peppe and lobster pasta. Caccio e peppe were fine, lobster pasta was way too salty, with lobster intestines in between my spaghetti. For €44… not worth it. They asked why I didn’t finish and I told them and luckily they took this pasta off the bill. That was nice of them. Desert on the menu we picked baked cheese cake and creme brulee and got NOT baked cheesecake and flan?! Service was solid but cold, I really didn’t like cheap glassware, both for water and wine. This was my second and last visit.

A beautiful building with a great atmosphere. We even got some live music which was amazing. The food was delicious!! And a correct price! We do wanted the focaccia as a starter but we got it with our mains but no problem at all! Definitely recommend this amazing restaurant.

Great Italian dinner experience. Visiting for IBC and had booked table for a large group. The service and the food were perfect throughout the night. Great food recommendations and everything we tasted was excellent. I personally loved the Aubergine Parmigiana, Tuna Tartare, Lobster Spaghetti and of course the Veal Chop Milanese which was the best I ever had. Highly Enjoyable!

What an overrated tent this is! Start with the Beef carpaccio, Venetian dressing. I have never eaten it so bare and tasteless! meat and a few seeds on top and you're done....Veal chop milanese, lemon salt (450g) for €49.00 (!!) without vegetables or anything and as tough as the sole of a shoe, so that you are ready after 4 bites are with you. Kitchen staff are shouting at each other when another order comes in and throwing pots/pans. Still a positive point: Champagne, wine & cocktails were very tasty! But unfortunately for us not again!

Had a great dinner there- the tagliatelle was scrumptious and the portion was generous. The Hamachi was delish as well. Ate at the bar and the bartenders could not have been nicer. May go back again for dinner before we leave Amsterdam!

I orderd a pasta.. i was served a very very small portion of pasta.. I am not a big eater by nature. But this was even less than what I would feed my 1-year-old child, less than 100 grams I think . It was a tasty dish but considering the price and what I got... it was a total disappointment. You could see through the pasta to the plate it was on.

The pasta bolognese was super fresh and tasty. And the focaccia was complimentary and amazing. We could only book a spot at 5 and the restaurant was already very busy, this resulted in somewhat slow service. But the staff was very lovely and kind. We only had time for a main dish but we will come back for dessert next time. The interior felt like you walk into a movie. Cecconi’s is the perfect place to end your day with a nice italian meal in a bustling city.

It has been recommended by a friend of mine as top place .. to be honest , we were disappointed by every plate .. service is fantastic , but the cuisine .. too strange combinations , not tasty , dough of the pizza not fresh , tiramisu without original mascarpone ..

The food was outstanding. The service was iffy. We felt like we were putting her out. Lots of eye rolls. We had to ask for our water to be refilled several times before another server came over to help. Thank God the food was good.

Quite disappointed... I expected better. The agnolotti were bathed in a delicious meat juice but were covered with truffle... without any taste (in fact much too salty... as if trying to enhance an absent taste?). The tuna tartare, prepared in front of you, was good. Note, very noisy restaurant... In conclusion, go there for a drink because the art deco decor is nice but not for dinner.

It was great as always! The staff, the food and service are simply top.
