If you take an Italian to eat there, they will sue you. To flee. I have never had such bad pizza. I asked for a coke, I heard the waitress open a plastic bottle and I got a drink for €3.50 (it wasn't real coca cola).. Friendly waitress nonetheless

The restaurant chef, an old man, just got into a fight with another customer. I think it's because the bathroom costs 2 euros, but we started yelling at each other haha. So I was anxious about food, but oh my god. The pasta was so soft, it looked like a meal kit had been microwaved... The pasta sauce doesn't have any flavor...it's so lacking... Still, the waiter was kind, and the old man was kind to us, too… You scream too much and the cooking is a mess haha...

I can’t understand why the bad reviews to be honest, it’s a family own restaurant that keeps the Italian tradition in the kitchen. All dishes are made at the moment by fresh pasta hand made. The owner speaks Italian , English , Spanish , Dutch. It’s an amazing place to eat something with a real taste and quiet and calm place.

It was an experience not to be repeated! Terrible and pre-cooked food to be used without distinction. We have two dishes but pre-cooked pasta, one collected by the manager as soon as it arrived at the table at least he didn't charge for it, the only positive note! The manager behaved in an opinionated and rude manner. He cooked and served in the dining room! The food has nothing Italian about it, nor even the manager even though he is! No more!

My partner and I had dinner here while on holiday. The food was great, the place is nice and cozy and the service was fast and polite. I don't usually write reviews but this place absolutely deserves a much better score than it has so here I am.

Great little spot for a tiny restaurant The service is good , came in near to the closing time but we got the order quite fast and we didn't feel rushed out. My order of pasta was mistaken (didn't realise till after I started eating ) but even so I enjoyed it so much I didn't mind the screw up. My partner enjoyed her pizza, the dough looked freshly made and the whole dish appeared to just have been taken out of the oven. (Not a frozen pizza as other reviews said) The "grumpy old " owner was polite even though his English isn't very good. And the girl serving the tables was fast and attentive. The items are well priced especially for the area. Wouldn't say it's a must visit place but it definitely deserves more than a 3 star rating . If you are near and feel the need for some fresh pasta, pop on over.

Located in a very nice and quiet area a little inside a chaotic center, the food is super good and the service is also excellent. We have eaten here twice in one week in Amsterdam and have not had better food on the trip. The chef and owner is an older Italian gentleman who makes good authentic pasta. The owner only speaks Dutch but there are waiters to help with that. Mega good pasta both times, fresh homemade pasta.

My partner and I received two (small) plastic bottles of cheap water for €3.50 each. My pizza was a reasonable size for the price, but it was very soggy. The taste was okay. My partner had a tiny portion of tortellini for €15, which tasted okay. The waitress barely spoke English but was friendly.

Was just standing in front on the shop on a Saturday morning when a shop staff member came and shooed us away for no reason.

The worst pizza I've ever eaten, it was so ungodly bad I didn't even eat three slices. Service and everything else was just as ungodly bad. This is a bottomless impudence. I would have been grateful for a bad frozen pizza. €13.50 for a salami pizza without salami is crazy.

DISGUSTING !!! TO FLEE!!!! We have already been very poorly received by the owner, who explains to us quite unpleasantly and closed-off that in his restaurant we only speak Dutch, not English or French!! Then we see him, sitting quietly in the room, we were going to eat inside, go deep into his nose with his finger and put his poop on the ground!!! Already this disgusts me, I look at him, he looks at me but no problem doing this in front of his customers, he continues! We weren't sure if he was the chef but yes... Until we saw him preparing our plates of pasta by hand!!! He took the pasta directly with his finger without gloves, that was too much! We paid for our drinks and said we were leaving but above all the reason why we weren't staying! He was pissed, because he told me he washed his hands and that he served his pasta with his hands!!! Know that the pasta is already cooked, because it was impossible for it to be already cooked, that's why 3/4 of the comments denounce the disgusting pasta!!! TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID: 0 stars. Dirty place, aggressive boss, bland food. Asks 2€ to use the toilets, even if you have consumed something. It's clear that his passion is not cooking, but making money.

We were there on Wednesday. Seldom eaten so badly. Ordered Bruscetta and after 40 minutes an opened roll arrived with slices of tomato and ham and the whole thing was gratinated with Gouda. Unbelievable, we still waited for the main course, spaghetti a arrabiata. Watery spaghetti with a few canned tomatoes and 2 chili snippets 15 euros per plate. We were really speechless and paid without a tip.

Contrary to other reviews, we had a very great meal here. Just a hole in the wall in a obsure area of Central. Fresh food and made and prepared by the owner Fillipe. A nice Italian gentleman. There are only seven tables so very quaint. Our server was so sweet. We had the veal scaloppine with homemade linguine and homemade sauce. The Antipasta salad was perfect. It had the most delicious grilled eggplant. Would definitely come back.

The prices are good there but I had to wait 45 minutes for the food and that's not really important I'm a child I have time but when I went to the toilet there was a hole between the men's toilet and the women's toilet and in the middle there was a washbasin .and on the way back to my place a few people got up because the food wasn't good. I thought something was wrong here when the pizza arrived after 45 minutes and there was just unbaked flour in it and I'm currently at home in Germany and have diarrhea

As a family we have never eaten so badly. If I could give 0 stars I certainly would. First of all, it's crazy expensive. We paid €100 for 2 pizzas and 3 pasta, which was not even edible. The pizza dough was not fresh (it was a ready-made base on which only the ingredients were spread) The pastas are also not fresh and are at least a day old, so they have only been warmed up before serving. one of the two pastas was very dry and had almost no sauce, the 2nd pasta again had too much sauce that literally flowed over the plate. it looked more like a soup... We ordered 2 Penne arrabiata's (which we clearly indicated 3 times) and yet we got spaghetti. The lady who served our food looked at us as if we were saying something funny when we politely pointed this out. By the way, we didn't get any new pasta. Anyway, we have already waited more than 40 minutes for our food, so we didn't feel like waiting any longer! You get simple bottles of water from Lidl for which you pay €10. The apple juice we ordered did not taste like apple juice and was undrinkable. No idea where this came from because the glass had already been poured in the kitchen. A complete scam.

The food is good and tasty, but terrible customer service, very slow, an hour waiting for the dishes, they are not resolving customer problems either. I do not recommend it. The owner is even abusive towards his employees.

we were appalled and utterly disgusted by the food that was served to us. the so called “garlic bread” was just a bland cheap baguette (they did not make the effort to warm up the bread) and the “garlic” was a big chunk of weird smelling butter with little to no garlic. and after that: the shock of my life. the pizza margeritha. it was the worst pizza we ever ate. it was 100% deep frozen and it was not enjoyable at all. the cup with the tea had a brown stain and was really dirty. we would not recommend this restaurant at all, it was the WORST italian restaurant we have been to.

this restaurant had me from start to finish, Pavarotti goes out of his way to remind you that it's a good Italian (it's not), huge Italian flag in front, owner who knows how to talk to customers (to rip them off), horrible food, frozen dish, in short to flee.

Real Italian food! Such a gezellig restaurant, the owner does it all by himself, Fillipe was very friendly to us and even asked what languages we speak to communicate better, so in between dutch, english, spanish, italian and portuguese, we had no problem understanding each other. Some reviews here were really extreme giving that he is just an elderly italian… And the pizza was really good, the sauce and the flavors was on point! Definitely going back there to try the fresh tiramisu.

This is the real deal. Authentic northern Italian family cooking, even family house wine. The chef is the kindest man who is delighted to share his family’s fresh recipes. Even the wine is so fresh and gentle. I guessed that the handwritten daily menu outside was a good indicator that each plate would be made with care and attention, and I was right. Be polite, and the owner will go out of his way for you. Stepping just barely outside the touristy area of Amsterdam yields wonderful authentic foods. I can’t rave enough.

Had an amazing dinner here while on vacation! Fillipo was a very kind and gracious host. Pasta was fresh and incredibly delicious. Was extremely surprised to find the restaurant as empty as it was given the great food. Pricing was more than fair and a good deal more affordable than many other spots in Amsterdam with food not even comparable to Fillipo's. Don't listen to other negative reviews! I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in Amsterdam.

Very tasty pasta, both the tagliatelle and the spaghetti. Simple dishes but the sauces are just nice. The chef looks grumpy but he really isn't, very friendly gentleman. Also, has pet-friendly outdoor seating.

The only Italian restaurant you should dine with in Amsterdam. Don Filippo is hands on and keeps everything fresh. Make sure you find him and tell him Don Vito sent you.

Een man met passie voor eten , ik kan goed begrijpen dat hij misschien een beetje grumpy overkomt maar hij is een echte Italiaan en die geven de vrouwen de porties die ze nodig hebben Daarom zie je in italie geen dikke vrouwen. Kellnerin läuft mit Kopfhörern rum , Essen dauerte. 33 Minuten zu lange in einer schnellen Stadt Außerdem waren wir die einzigen. Pizza war gut, aber für 13,50€ war der leere Magen Nichtmal zur Hälfte Gefüllt.

An einem Donnerstag auf der Suche um den kleinen aufkommenden Mittagshunger zu stillen fanden wir dieses kleine italienische Restaurant. Ein flüchtiger Blick auf die Speisekarte reichte uns aus, um uns zu überzeugen hier eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Wir bestellten drei Pizzen. Zwei Vier-Käse-Pizzen und eine Pizza mit Salami. Es dauerte einige Zeit, bis wir die Pizzen bekommen haben. Schätzungsweise 25min mussten wir auf diese warten. Als uns die Pizzen gebracht wurden, überzeugen diese bereits sehr mit ihrem Aussehen. Es handelt sich hierbei um Pizzen basierend auf einem Hefeteig mit einem eher dünneren Boden. Dem Aussehen des Teigs zu Folge handelte es sich bei diesen Pizzen nicht um Pizzen aus dem Steinofen. Trotzdessen waren die Pizzen überaus knusprig. Mir persönlich war der Rand teilweise zu knusprig, meine Freunde hingegen fanden den Rand perfekt. Geschmacklich haben alle Pizzen absolut überzeugt und geliefert, weswegen mir die Rezensionen einiger meiner Vorredner etwas unverständlich scheinen. Auch der Service war sehr überzeugend. Bedient wurden wir von einem älteren Mann, Dieser sprach gebrochen deutsch, was wir als positiv aufgefasst haben. Er war sehr bemüht und man merkte, dass er das Lokal mit viel Herzblut führte. Einzig das Ambiente ist eher unschön. Gelegen ist das Restaurant an einer Straße, indem häufiger die Straßenbahn. Man fühlte sich in einer sehr touristischen Umgebung. Es war zeitweise sehr laut und allgemein lud die Umgebung nicht ein dort etwas zu essen. Alles im allem ein gutes Restaurant, indem man eine leckere Pizza bekommt.
