Cold food and long waiting times

We had a delicious meal: spicy tomato soup, duck breast fillet with orange sauce, and iced coffee for dessert. Very friendly, flexible staff. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely Christmas dinner here with colleagues. Since we were a group, we had communicated our choices in advance, which ensured a smooth process. I had the tomato soup and the pork tenderloin satay; it was tender and had a nice, Indonesian kick. The brownie for dessert was a perfect ending. All in all, a successful evening with attentive service.

Ate at C'est Si Bon for the first time. My wife and I had a wonderful meal here. Compliments to the kitchen staff and the service. Very happy with the choice of fried potatoes or fries. See you next time.

We celebrated our 85-year-old mother's birthday here. We arranged a menu with the restaurant for 16 people, choosing from fish, meat, and vegetarian options. Communication was excellent and pleasant. The food was delicious, with large fries, vegetables, and salads as a side dish. Beautifully presented and well-prepared. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. The only downside: the long wait of almost an hour between the starter and the main course. In short... highly recommended!

Really nice place, probably the best one in Den Helder. We ordered starters, mains and drinks and everything was very well presented and delicious.

Friday Evening The staff only serves you when you ask directly. A simple "I'd like something else" isn't available. We even only got the menu upon request. A bit poor for the price, but that wouldn't be a problem in a fast-food restaurant. The steak was solid, albeit unusually presented (simmered in a deep plate of sauce). The vegetable side dish wasn't that good. Untreated steamed vegetables, no salt, no butter/oil, no kick. The beans were steamed in bacon. That is, the bacon was limp and completely lacking in roasted potato flavor. All in all, not so good. If the surroundings had been better, I could have lived with the price, but as it was, it was simply cheeky.

Great atmosphere and very tasty food, we had 1 gluten-free person with us and that was no problem and there was plenty of choice.

Excellent!! Fantastic. Finally good food again with all the trimmings. The tomato soup was a bit spicy for our liking, but perfectly fine. Schnitzel with stroganoff sauce was delicious with fries and raw vegetables, and also good value for money. The staff was friendly and we had a nice chat with them.

In one word: TOP! Food was super tasty, carpaccio was delicious, meat was super tender and dessert was also delicious! The service was (despite a shortage of staff) super good, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended! I'll definitely be back!

Was niet druk toch half uur wachten op bestelling van een broodje met carpaccio. Dit broodje kost 16,50 plus 1 euro voor een Italiaanse bol. Alle smaken zijn weg door gebruik van teveel mayonaise wat overal overheen gespoten was. Erg jammer.

We stopped by, as the place looked nice. We didn't know what could be expected. Ce ci Bon is good place to have dinner ( what we did). Drinks and Food are of very good quality. Some other ( higher rated) places in the area are quite disappointing; not so Ce si Bon. Staff is very considered and friendly. I cannot share the other ' mixed' views and therefore can recommend this place.

After a day on Texel we had a wonderful time here, ate and chatted. The service is extremely friendly and the chef knows how to prepare meat. This was already evident with the carpaccio in advance, but also with all the main courses. If I am in Den Helder again, I would like to eat here again.

I ate here last week with the entire family. The restaurant looks neat and modern from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is also very nice. We were fifteen minutes early but were allowed to wait at another table until our table was cleared. The people in the restaurant were nice and the food was really tasty. The carpaccio was one of the best I have ever eaten and the ribeye was also well prepared with good meat. I would definitely come back here if it wasn't so far from where I live. Now we combined it with a day trip to Texel.

Had dinner at C'est si bon for the first time. All our expectations have been exceeded. We have had lunch in the past and that was always good, but somehow c'est si bon was never really on top of mind for us when choosing a restaurant for dinner. Well that has certainly changed now. We were helped by a very friendly and neat young girl who really neatly explained everything to us about the dishes outside the menu and the various side dishes. The food was really delicious and there was just enough time between each course. We will definitely come back. A small point of criticism, there seemed to be a draft at our table by the window, which made us feel a bit cold after a while. Everything else is absolutely great!

We drank delicious coffee, but the coffee was barely finished and it was cleared away under your nose. Very bad for business. Really doesn't invite you to order anything else. Too bad, but I immediately paid and left. Management still needs to learn something.

The food was excellent. The menu is not extensive but our meals were excellent. The service was friendly enough but was very slow; kitchen appeared to be overwhelmed.

Delicious food. Elegantly served. Minus only for vegetables and potatoes. However, for the chef, the taste of the dishes is a big plus. Perfectly seasoned. I would only recommend changing the service a little because you have to wait about 30 minutes for a glass of wine and longer for the next one. But I recommend the place because of the food.

Ate tonight with a group of 6, but for 3 of the 6 the main course was......Rib eye was really cold, this was reported and plates were taken away and brought back and the dish was still cold, the meat was also very tough and Plates were cold. Neighbors had ordered the same dish later and their plate was hot and meat was warm. But as a comment for our table, the waiter's comment was “too bad.” Unfortunately, as far as we are concerned, in terms of price and problem solution quality, NOT recommended!

We gingen even luchen bij C'est si bon. Bediening ietwat verstrooid, maar werkte er misschien niet lang. We bestelden 2 latte's en een broodje tonijnsalade en een broodje gezond. Het werd een sneetje tonijn en een sneetje gezond, het moet uit de lengte of de breedte komen zeg maar..... Aan de smaak lag het niet, maar dit was gewoon echt zielig.... Voortaan een No go voor ons!

What a wonderful restaurant! Tonight we walked in here because we wanted to grab a bite to eat. Four adults and two kids and we got a nice table in the middle of the restaurant. The service is extremely friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the food, but you will be pleasantly surprised by this. The food is really delicious! Both the starters and main courses are great! Super quality, beautiful meat and fine flavors. Highly recommended with 5 stars!

Very long wait, expensive, wobbly table, hard chairs on the second floor

Had a delicious large burger, more than enough. For me it was enough to get through the afternoon.

Sat on the terrace, left the terrace after about 12 minutes. The three ladies stood at the cash register talking to each other without paying attention to (new) customers.

Owner really has a grocery attitude, really wants to make money on the little ones but misses the point... We had a nice meal and for the side dishes we were asked in advance whether we wanted all four of them or whether we did not want something, at first I really thought that they were doing a great job to prevent waste...wrong idea...but more about that later. more 🙂 The neighbors wanted a glass of wine and it was actually poured from the leftovers of 3 bottles, really hilarious to see! When paying, the punch line came, €0.75 cents for the mayonnaise and €2.50 for an extra place setting😂 Apparently you were allowed to choose 1 side dish and the second was €2.50 and €0.75 for mayonnaise, what is this about? ???? Otherwise, make your dishes €0.50 more expensive, but on a bill of €85 (1 starter, 2 main courses and 4 drinks) and then charging these things extra, I think it's really pathetic and I also indicated at checkout that we had a nice meal. but for this reason will never come back.

What a fantastic first experience we had here! From the first telephone contact, this was an immediate hit! The woman on the phone was immediately super friendly even though we called an hour before closing time. The service, food and service couldn't have been better! Very good! 🫶

Eten was prima en de bediening super vriendelijk. Helaas wel lange wachten voordat eten en drinken geserveerd werd. Onaangename verrassing doordat er €3 extra gerekend werd voor een glutenvrij broodje. Voor een eenvoudig broodje kruidenboter vooraf is dat een verhoging van ruim 30%. Toch wat overdreven naar onze mening.

At first glance it is an excellent tent. Unfortunately, the shrimp cocktail did not taste good to me. I tried to raise this with the restaurant for a suitable solution, but it was not taken seriously and it was 'impossible that it was the food here'. I am not one for reviews, but I will never come back here on principle. and advise others to do the same

On Wednesday, June 19, we had dinner at C'est Si Bon in Den Helder, and unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience. After eating the shrimp cocktail we all became very ill. When we called for a suitable solution, we were told in a very rude manner that this could not be due to their food. The way we have been treated is absolutely scandalous. The service was disrespectful and our concerns were completely ignored. I strongly advise everyone not to eat a shrimp cocktail here. Hopefully they can improve their food quality and customer service in the future, but we will never come back here.

I went here for dinner with 6 friends. Unfortunately, 1 of my friends did not feel well after the starter and did not feel well during the evening. After a conversation with the restaurant, it was stated that it was not the restaurant's fault and that they stand behind their product. There was no leniency towards him in this at all. Apart from that, the service was very friendly, a nice place and the other meals were very good.

The meal was excellent, but one of us was not feeling well after the starter (shrimp cocktail). Called a day later to report this, but it didn't happen. Very disappointing! The plan was to eat here more often, but because of this attitude I will not come back here.

Very tasty food at a good price. Today there was a huge music crank thing nearby, which was a bit distracting. - However, the food tasted good and was excellent. Definitely price performance!

This was my first time eating here. I can't describe how wonderful it was. The staff was really super friendly and really great. The food was really great quality and I would recommend this so highly. I have never had such a good meal and the atmosphere made up for that. A truly fantastic restaurant!!! We will come here more often.

Very nice food. Entering through the cheese shop because of the cold is a bit cumbersome but probably necessary. And the toilet can only be reached via a difficult staircase. But that is made up for by what you get on your plate.

A very nicely decorated and neat restaurant. The restaurant has a well-stocked lunch and dinner menu as well as a wide range of drinks, beer and wine. Celebrated my .....th birthday on Saturday evening with my family and good friends, a total of 18 people. We discussed everything with the hostess in advance and were offered nice suggestions. We were nicely received and escorted upstairs. First we enjoyed baguette and the wonderful waitress who provided us with great service all evening politely asked when the starter could be served. And she also asked for that for main course and dessert. We could take all the time we needed for this. The food was excellent everyone was so satisfied and it all looked great, big compliments to the chef, you are a star. I would like to thank you again for my wonderful birthday. Very nice cozy tent. Food was very tasty and a great price. Would be nice if there were more vegetarian options, now you only had two burgers to choose from. But the beet burger was very good! Fries, potatoes and salad are also delicious.

Very cozy restaurant and the food is delicious

The reason for the visit was the Christmas menu on Christmas Day. The entrance was via the Cheese Shop. There was a walkway located between the counter and a makeshift coat rack. As a group of 11 people, we were not really welcomed there, because the hostess did not see our reservation on the list. After someone from the service later confirmed it, we were referred to the coat rack and the hostess no longer paid attention to the group, partly because there was another group behind us. Once in the restaurant we were sent to the 1st floor where our table was ready. We were not guided in this either. After several drinks, the first starter was served after about an hour of waiting. Point of attention here is that it was more like an Amuse. Three group members had ordered the Gazpacho thinking it was a cold, spicy tomato soup. What was served was a tablespoon of transparent jelly draped on a few lettuce leaves accompanied by three mini cherry tomatoes. It was also perceived as unpalatable. This was shared with the staff and discussed with the hostess. The menu did indeed include gelled Gazpacho. Nevertheless, the restaurant met us with a drink on the house. We waited again for more than 45 minutes (it was now around 8:20 PM) for the second course, three filled raviolis. Very tasty, but not pasta but filo pastry. Then we continued dining. Around 9 p.m. the waiter asked when the main course would be served, because we were very hungry now. It would take another five minutes. After fifteen minutes the same question was asked again with the same answer. Then around 9.45 pm we collectively decided to ask for the bill. The appetite was gone and we didn't feel like waiting any longer. The follow-up was that five minutes later the hostess reported that the main menu was coming. After a short discussion about our experience, disappointment and dissatisfaction, we left and paid for the starters and drinks. Cest ci bon must understand that it should have been a special evening for us that they did not accommodate. The orders had already been known for a month, so as a guest you can assume that the preparations have been made. We did not experience it that way, which we will certainly take into account when choosing a restaurant to visit.

The service was very good. Even though they do not do this as standard, they have arranged a special beer tasting for a bachelor party. Everything was neatly arranged by telephone and email. Nice spot at the top of the restaurant and the service was good there too. The food was also tasty and not too much. Quite a few side dishes that weren't too big either. We enjoyed it immensely.

C'est si bon zit sinds enkele jaren in een nieuw gebouw, Halte Bellevue genaamd, dat is opgetrokken in de stijl van het vroegere 19e -eeuwse treinstation van Den Helder. Achter de enorme boogramen schuilt een echt familiebedrijf, waar hard wordt gewerkt. De inrichting is zeer sfeervol, met zitplaatsen beneden en boven. Apart van het restaurant, maar wel van dezelfde familie, is een kaas- en wijnwinkeltje. De zeer uitgebreide kaart van C'est si bon heeft naast de gebruikelijke gerechten als sateh en steak (heerlijk mals!) met beukenzwammetjes en portsaus, ook eendenborst, bavette met truffelmayonaise, diverse vegetarische burgers en zeebaars met Rode Mul. En waar kom je tegenwoordig nog als dessert Banaan Royale tegen? Er wordt niet beknibbeld op bijgerechten, je krijgt gebakken aardappelen, patat, salade en gekookte groente als haricots verts met spek en broccoli. Het wordt tevoren gevraagd wat je graag wilt, dus minder bakjes kan ook. En het eten zelf? De avond dat wij er waren hebben we genoten. Een absolute aanrader!
