When I walk into a restaurant, I expect at least the basics of attentiveness and decent food! Guys, you absolutely deserve the stars! We were asked if everything was alright, if we needed another drink, the spare ribs were fantastic, and the dessert was amazing! I never leave reviews, but we've often been disappointed by the service and food in the Netherlands, but not with you!!! Keep up the great work, and here's to the next 18 years! All the best! P.S. Very friendly welcome and food was very good!

Not a bad place to eat, but the quality was very disappointing. For starters, the Spice Shrimp was a bit too spicy for me, but that is a matter of personal preference. Spareribs were too dry and the chicken wings were "simmered" and not nicely crispy. Once in a while for me....

Very tasty food. I can recommend the Phil steak sandwich and the three Dover sole.

I've had the best mussels here in a long time; it was mainly down to how they were prepared. I'd love to know that secret, I could have drunk the whole pan dry... tip: save the bread for last to dip in the sauce 😋

Called shortly beforehand to see if we could still come for dinner. Super friendly service right from the call, truly amazing. The food was delicious and the decor is very atmospheric. The hospitality was truly outstanding.

An incredibly nice spot with very friendly staff! We didn't arrive until 8 o'clock because we were coming from Texel and eating there was difficult due to the ferry we didn't want to miss, and everything was fully booked. When we asked, the first response was no, they were about to close the kitchen, but he quickly ran outside to say that it was still possible after all. He later explained that it was incredibly busy that day due to a specific event and that was why they wanted to close the kitchen a bit earlier, which I could completely understand. We really appreciated being able to eat there, and it was also incredibly delicious. I had an entrecote myself and my partner had a steak. Both were really delicious and highly recommended if you want to eat tasty meat! If I am ever in Den Helder again, I would definitely come back!

We eat vegetarian. We thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian Bitterballen. The vegetarian Pad Thai was an unappetizing wok dish that didn't taste like Pad Thai at all, but rather like a cheap Chinese stir-fry. Gado was okay, but it only had unseasoned vegetables, 1 egg, white rice, and a little satay sauce. I had to ask for sambal twice, and it arrived when the food was almost finished. Not recommended for the vegetarians among us. When the waiter asked how it tasted and we made a comment about the Pad Thai, he indicated that he had heard this before.

Nice setting, but the dishes are expensive for the quality offered (canteen food), the service is informal.

Simply outstanding! We have rarely experienced such friendly, attentive, and professional service. The entire team was incredibly welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable from the very first moment. We were particularly impressed by how they treated children and dogs. Both were absolutely no problem. On the contrary, everyone was exceptionally warm and accommodating. You really don't experience that very often. The food was also excellent. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fair. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

We spontaneously decided to have lunch here after exploring Den Helder a bit. The service is super friendly and they also speak English. The atmosphere at the old harbor in Den Helder is simply unbeatable. Just go for it! 🫣

All in all, disappointed for the money we spent here. The starters were generous portions; we would have liked to know this when ordering, as half of it had to be returned just to finish the main course. When we received the main course, the waiter dropped 2 spare ribs from my plate onto the table and left them there without any apology or putting them back on the plate. The spare ribs had little flavor, and the chicken wings were bone dry. The salmon, however, was good. While ordering some drinks, a ‘friend’ of a staff member came to stand by our table to then engage in a friendly conversation with the staff member, while the employee was standing at our table to take an order. This took about 3 to 4 minutes. I hope this is not the intention at your restaurant. All in all, we wasted €95 on mediocre food and extremely poor service. We will not be coming here again.

Since Willemsoord opened up, various hospitality businesses have set up shop here. We came from far away and chose Kade 60 for lunch. We didn't regret it. We sat on the terrace where you can hear the sound of the busy traffic to and from Texel (it was the Friday before Pentecost). But it is also pleasant inside. Great place with friendly staff.

Had a delicious meal, the menu is indeed limited, but that is the case everywhere, nice service, delicious dessert! Until next time !!!!

Previously, you would sit on the terrace to drink a delicious iced coffee. You got a sort of coffee milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream and topped with crushed kletskop cookies and caramel syrup; that was worth going out of your way for! But what we were served now. A glass of cold coffee with chunks of ice and a little whipped cream, with some kind of syrup for garnish. We won't go out of our way for this anymore!

Just had a meal tonight. Asked if there was a table for 1, and waited outside until it was confirmed. It was 5.30pm but busy. A nice young waitress took me to a table, where I ordered a rib eye (33 euros) and a glass of wine. I asked for medium, and on arrival it was pretty rare. Not great for a rib eye - it was chewy and still a bit fatty. Ordered a second glass of wine. Didn’t come. No water on table. Sat quietly and ate anyway. No sign of the wine so I finished and asked for the bill. A fairly surly young man came over and tried to charge for the second glass of wine. Explained that he hadn’t actually brought it! Shame - looked busy but disappointed and hoped for more…

We ate here for lunch last weekend, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The food was mediocre and the meat portions were on the small side. As a result, the price-quality ratio is not well balanced. The service was generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there was one staff member who was clearly less hospitable. This person came across as impatient and responded quite curtly. It seemed as if she wasn't interested. When it turned out that a specific dish was unavailable, this was only reported after we had already made our choice. It would have been more polite if this had been indicated immediately when the menu was handed out, so that we could have taken it into account right away. As it was, we had to choose again, and the staff member was very impatient about it. All in all, a mixed experience: good service from the majority of the staff, but the food and a few pleasant interactions detract from the overall experience.

Large, quite cozy restaurant. Limited lunch menu. The farmer's omelet was disappointing; it lacked flavor and had been overcooked, making it a bit rubbery. My partner's BLTC was disappointing; it had slices of chicken breast from a can instead of a few nicely grilled pieces.

Wow, I was in Den Helder for work and ended up at Kade 60. What a great place. Great atmosphere, tasty beers, and delicious (and plentiful) food. Highly recommended!!

€19.50 for two slices of bread that had just come out of the freezer. The salmon was 30% brown and slimy, and the brown part was dry, and the salmon smelled terrible. All in all, awful. As I write this, I'm blowing up the toilet.

Our first time eating here with our group. The food tasted okay, but the fish was lukewarm, and there was a long delay between serving. We didn't have the pre-arranged seating, but they placed us in a much busier spot without consulting us, so we couldn't really hear each other. I would have preferred to have known that beforehand; I hadn't gone there myself for nothing and asked where we could sit. The response to our question about the lukewarm fish was not good. The staff were audibly saying something nasty to us, even though we had politely asked if we could have the fish warm. It's a real shame; I find it unprofessional and not the way to treat your guests. We spent a considerable amount of money here, but they lost our group as customers. Fortunately, there are more great places in Willemsoord, so we'll be regulars there.

A superb, industrial-style restaurant. A diverse menu. There should be something for every taste. Generous portions. Incredibly delicious food. Since there were five of us and we had four different dishes, I can say that everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! Thank you for the delightful evening. P.S. Even in the ladies' restroom, everything has been thought of for women! Very attentive. Communication was seamless, whether in German or English, since we unfortunately don't speak Dutch.

This is a cafe with a cozy interior and pleasant music. The service is also friendly. The quality of the food isn't exactly great. My rib-eye steak was far too tough, dry (even though I ordered it rare), and lacking in flavor, except for a dominant peppery taste. The steak knife was so blunt I could barely cut through it because of the tendons. As mentioned in other reviews, the portion of fries is very small for two people.

We enjoyed delicious mussels here for two (the portion was way too large 😅). We received very courteous, friendly, and attentive service throughout our stay. Even though the restaurant was almost full, there were no gaps in service. Hats off! Just like in the old days... Highly recommended! 5 ⭐️

The food is well-prepared, and the atmosphere and service are also good. However, I feel it's a cheap meal. I ate there a few years ago... it was better. After that experience, we were ready to sit back and enjoy ourselves: the schnitzel was delicious back then, but unfortunately, it's now been removed from the menu... :( But there are still some pretty good options. For a hefty price, you expect something... the "everything comes with fries and vegetables" option... well... not a large portion, unfortunately. There were three cooked beans hidden under my piece of meat, and a very small portion of fries (half a portion of MacCie.d.), and that for a table of two. The salad on the side also fits in half a glass of drink. In short, I was completely drained. I was completely milked. What does it cost to cook a few potatoes... or to add some vegetables (I'd prefer a 50/50 ratio, not 2/50)? Anyway, the preparation was good, the ambiance was good, etc., etc. So many pluses, but the management decision was high, the price was low, and the quantity was a big fail. Such a shame... My feeling upon leaving: I was ripped off for 100 euros.

We're here on vacation and stumbled across Kade 60 by chance the day before yesterday. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and exceptional food. We have to go back today; it's addictive!

The food was truly delicious, and the kids were having a wonderful time too. Long story short: simply excellent 👍🏻 and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is nice and spacious, so you're not pushing chairs against each other. The restrooms are nice and clean, and they even cater to the needs of women. Our youngest daughter was secretly very happy about that. Dogs are also welcome. We'll definitely be back, big thumbs up 👍🏻👌🏻

A lovely restaurant with attentive service. First, we enjoyed a delicious cappuccino with apple pie. We returned later that day for lunch, which was delicious and plentiful. We live too far away, but if we ever return to Den Helder, we won't have to search for a suitable restaurant.

My wife and I each ordered a soup. It was lukewarm onion soup with no bread. It was Thai curry soup, just curry powder mixed with warm water. Disgusting. Accordingly, we canceled any further orders.

We had a lovely meal with a group of eight. The bread platter is highly recommended, with delicious bread and various spreads. Carpacho and a chicken satay skewer were good. The salad could have been better; it lacked flavor. The service was friendly and helpful. The building had an industrial feel, as it's a former naval shipyard. It did feel a bit dark and hollow because of this.

Small and inconspicuous from the outside, an excellent restaurant is hidden in a former warehouse on the edge of the Willemsoord marina. We were there at lunchtime and ordered from the lunch menu. We will come back and try the dinner in the evening.

Super tasty, especially the BBQ... I could go for the sauce. 🤤 The sandwich with beef and champions also turned out well and was very hearty. The service is very friendly, but we had to wait a long time because there wasn't much going on.

One of the few where you just get a really tasty cookie with your coffee/tea and not one of those old pre-packed tasteless cookies. The service is always pleasant and you immediately feel welcome when you step inside. Always a lot of food, tasty and enough choice, also for the children; lemonade with a straw and a piece of candy, coloring page for the kids while eating and sometimes a gift afterwards! Plus point! (Ladies') toilet with hairspray, deodorant and ladies' bandages, you won't find this anywhere anymore?! 100 points!

Just had coffee and a nice glass of hot chocolate. Everything served with some extras. It was very cold outside but inside it was warm and cozy. Wonderful opportunity. Definitely do it.
