Chicken House & Shoarma in Schenkel

Update: Yesterday I had to grab a quick bite after more than a year, so I drove right past there. To my surprise, the Turkish chicken shawarma pizza with cheese was much better! Almost back to how it used to be before 2023, back when I used to go there much more often. Service was fine, though there was different staff again compared to the last time I was there, so perhaps things are going well again now. I'll come back to this after I've been there a few more times. (The table was a bit sticky, though) Before the interior was changed for the summer of 2024, they had delicious Turkish pizzas, but not anymore; thick dough and different ingredients now. Hopefully, they'll have the old crust and ingredients again in the future.

Ordered something here for the first time, as we are new to Capelle, and I have to say; it was absolutely top-notch! Everything tender and well prepared, piping hot potatoes and super fresh salad. We have already found our go-to spot for the future even before we actually moved to Capelle!

We didn't get our food until 2.5 hours later and had to call four times to ask where it was. First, they said they'd forgotten to make the order. Then, they said three times that the delivery driver was "really on his way now," but that turned out not to be the case. Our children had to wait so long that when the food finally arrived, they couldn't eat it anymore. We won't be ordering from here again. Such a shame!

As always, we had a delicious meal. Well-prepared and excellent quality. Tender chicken in a crispy coating. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

I order from them incredibly often. I asked for the sauce on the pizza separately, but didn't get any. So I called to ask why I got sauce on one pizza and nothing on the other. He said you have to pay €1 if you don't want it on your Turkish pizza. Great service! Not at all! My Turkish pizza, which cost almost €10, had very little filling. I'll be ordering from somewhere else from now on! Terrible service!

Best chicken in Hengelo. I would definitely recommend it to fried chicken lovers! Their shawarma was also very tasty.

Never order here these people do not know the difference between shoarma and doner Rude on the phone too I should have known but again I let myself be seduced horrible business!

Been ordering from here for years, and the food is honestly delicious and always hot. I hope they decide to deliver/open later than 10pm (like they used to).

I walked in and had to wait for at least 10 minutes before I was helped... while the Turkish woman was chatting with her colleague... after I shouted if I could order she came very angry and grumpy like "yes, everything in due time" 😕 which I thought was very strange because there were no customers and it wasn't that busy, after that I got the bill from the Turkish woman very angrily... and she started talking to herself and walked away very angrily, you won't see me again!

Delicious food delivered quickly

Always used to be the tastiest shawarma kapon, but unfortunately not anymore. Ordered a large Kapson again in a long time, but the taste is no longer what it used to be, almost just fries, almost no meat, and almost no garlic sauce on it.

A few years ago I would never have written a less good review. Order came very quickly and I understand why...I have never seen such nasty fries. Virtually unbaked. White, limp and wet. I just had to fry them in the air fryer. Delivery took 5 minutes longer

Ordered chicken and fries here yesterday. Fries were inedible. Bland and tasteless. A bowl of wilted lettuce. The chicken was drab, but tasted quite nice. My wife used to be a regular customer here, but things have certainly not improved under the new owner. This order was the last time for us.

Ordered food for a quarter to 7 delivery time. Arrive half an hour later. Do not offer the option to choose a time for delivery if you know that you will not meet the standard time.

Got to the hair salon tonight. .used to be incredibly tasty.. now very mediocre to bad to eat.. we are going to look for another place! Shame! How can you screw up a case so much in such a short time! Too terrible for words!

Ordered spare ribs 2x 750 grams, total was € 60!! It did come with fries, 2 rolls and 2 bowls of raw vegetables. But… the spareribs were not tasty. I ordered “sweet”, but it looked like pancake syrup and had no taste. Unfortunately this was certainly not worth €60.

Ordered food on 1/17/25. Pork tenderloin satays at 16.75 were unpalatable. Tough with a nasty aftertaste. Hair salon at 11.00 was substandard. Sour taste. Wasted money.

It used to be the best hair salon place in Capelle, after the conversion they ruined everything The lettuce was soaking wet, the chicken was dry/too salty. sauce is the only thing that tastes good. Service has also gone down, they never give forks so you have to ask for that.

Fantastic! Nice fresh delivery person. New packaging method that keeps the chicken much crispier. Salad wrapped separately and cut much finer. Brilliant move. Please continue to innovate and improve.

Unfortunately, the shawarma is no longer the same. I'll check again how much shawarma I get and then judge...

I can say one thing, a super spare ribs kapsalon really delicious……. Made it twice tonight and had a normal thinning hair salon, everything was TOP

We always liked ordering from Chickenhouse. Unfortunately, the menu has been adjusted after the reopening. There is no longer any hair salon crazy chicken on the menu. A small hair salon is now really small and poorly stocked. Too much garlic sauce which seems water thin and was quite tasteless. A nasty, greasy aftertaste afterwards. So not recommended. Rice with chicken doner used to always come with the sauce separately. Now there was way too much watery garlic sauce in it, which made it a soggy bite. Just not tasty. For both meals, the chicken is bland in taste and limp in structure. It's a pity that a place that, in my opinion, was the best in Capelle is now by far the worst. They have lost us as regular customers. A compliment for the fast and friendly delivery.

Yesterday after the reopening, I ordered an XXL hair salon chicken, a normal hair salon and a satay dish. I regularly order from ChickenHouse with great pleasure, but yesterday's order has turned the positive image 180 degrees! The fries from the satay dish were cold and wet. The skewers were broken off and burned. The kapsalons were very dry, little garlic sauce, lots of fries, little meat. Really a shame...

Previously often ordered weekly, sometimes more than once. But now that there is a new owner and the minimum amount is 35 euros instead of about 13 what I paid for, this will also be the last time for me. Unfortunately!

Lots of fries at the hair salon and they were of poor quality. Shawarma was dirty. Whole food was actually dirty. Delivered quickly. Too expensive for bad food.

Great experience with chicken house. The owner/staff are super nice and know their business. The food is tasty and competitively priced. In addition, it is always pleasant in the restaurant.

The food was good. Unfortunately no invoice was provided. Called about it and this was because home delivery was ordered supposedly not possible. Bad service! Presenting an invoice is legally required! I'm not happy about this.

We have had our hair salon here for years. But today was the last time. €12.50 for a container full of fries and cheese. Almost no meat and sauce. And it was just plain impossible to eat this time. It has become a lot more expensive, but the taste has deteriorated considerably.

My shawarma tent! The shawarma is good, but other dishes are also very tasty. If you come there long enough, they will occasionally adapt the dish and give it a name of your own choosing. Who knows, maybe the Maarten sandwich will be on the menu next year. In any case, you can already order it. Then immediately add a beer to extinguish it. Ahmet is a top chef and host!

Delicious mix chicken menu, the piri piri chicken is always good. Friendly staff definitely worth it.

Ordered food very rudely but the address was not correct. Called within 2 minutes to say that the address was different or the order could not be canceled. The money could be refunded via home delivery. He said the order was gone within 2 minutes. How! So no money will be refunded and rude treatment so advise everyone not to eat here

Vanavond wezen eten bij Chickenhouse.. Spare ribs, chickenhouse luxe en 2 salades met feta kaas.. We hebben superlekker gegeten, meer dan genoeg. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.. Jolanda en Patrick

Lekker gegeten, meerdere keren. Ruime hoeveelheden/ porties. Prima prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding. Vriendelijke bediening. Kom zeker weer terug .

Veel patat, weinig vlees in de kapsalon. En dat voor een stevige prijs.

Leckerer Schnellimbiss, zügige Zubereitung und gute Auswahl, leider kein Tsatsiki mehr im Angebot.

Eten op zondag besteld, was veel sneller bezorgd dan verwacht, was warm en goed gevuld, we waren allemaal zeer tevreden

In 1 woord: heerlijk!! Ik heb vanavond voor het eerst bij jullie besteld om 18.30 uur om te laten bezorgen om 20.00 uur. De bezorger kwam het met een grote lach brengen om 20.10 uur. Prima op tijd! En dan het eten, echt heerlijk! Vier sate's van de grill met patat en een salade. De sate's waren voortreffelijk. Ik was een beetje bang dat de patat misschien slappe hap zou zijn, maar ook deze waren helemaal top! Mijn complimenten. Ik ga zeer zeker vaker bij jullie bestellen! Jullie hebben er een vaste klant bij.

Heerlijk eten. Denj de beste kip die ik ooit heb gegeten, eet ik altijd hier. Vriendelijk personeel overigens ook.

Zojuist 2 kapsalon kipdoner besteld. Gezien de hoeveelheid patat en minimaal vlees hadden we beter een patatje kunnen bestellen. Eten wordt na een uur bezorgd, was niet warm. Shame on you chicken house. Doe wat aan je kwaliteit en zeker voor ruim 25 euro.

Beste kapsalon in omstreken man. Wat ook anders is dan bij andere shoarma zaken is dat deze gasten echt vriendelijk zijn. Ga zo door zo door mannen.

Vriendschappelijke personeel Ik had vandaag kleine en een groote kapsalon besteld was binnen 2min al klaar vond het niet echt lekker patat had wat langer gemoeten niet heel veel vlees voor een groote en een beetje sla en kaas en dat was het dan de schotels zijn altijd super maar maar de kapsalon nee niet voor herhaling vatbaar en patat ook niet helemaal raar maar goed verder geen haar naar jullie Mvg Aron

Heerlijk! Ik heb de halve kip menu besteld en een kleine kapsalon. Het was snel bezorgd. Het eten was nog lekker warm. Volgende keer bestel ik weer hier.

Na jaren klant te zijn geweest wordt het nu tijd om vaste klant te worden. De smakelijkste shoarma van Capelle. De beste spareribs van Nederland. De lekkerste Wings van Europa. En de vriendelijkste bediening van de wereld. Sorry 😔 mijn telefoon doet raar, kan geen 6 sterren geven.
