The food is okay, but service is hard to find, especially towards the grey-haired gentleman. The rest are very friendly, but I won't be tipping! Just because of your arrogance.

Great shawarma place! Very satisfied.

Called ahead and asked for 2 small chicken fillet kapsalons. Clearly indicated twice that I wanted small ones; the man said it would be fine. I asked if they didn't put sauce in the kapsalon, and they said "why not?" Just "okay, fine." My friend came home with 2 large kapsalons, and he was told that I was told on the phone they didn't have small ones, which isn't true. I opened it, and what did I see??? The container was half-filled with fries and slightly dry chicken for such a price??? I felt so ripped off, and oh yeah, they were also being difficult about giving extra sauce. What stingy people who only think about making money. NEVER AGAIN!!!

We have been coming here for so many years, but it is quite expensive now. After eating the kapsalon with the family, we spent the rest of the evening taking turns on the toilet. Unfortunately, this was the last time for us.

What I hope for when I order a kapsalon for 15 euros: freshly fried fries, tasty shawarma, cheese, and salad on top. What you get at Tavor: soggy fries that look like they weren't fried long enough, a thin layer of iceberg lettuce that, upon arriving home (a 5-minute drive), looks more like wilted green mush, and worst of all: dry, dark-brown chunks. That is the shawarma, but it looks like the reheated leftovers from what was left in the pan or something. Really not okay. Maybe that was actually the case and the fresh shawarma is tasty, but come on: selling dried-out meat scraps for 15 euros isn't right. It was ready very quickly, though. But I would have preferred to wait 10 minutes and get fresh food to take home!

Ordered a kapsalon again; called ahead. They were very curt on the phone. It was better the previous times. Took home a kapsalon with dry meat and very soggy fries. It was really better a few years ago; come on, you guys can do better. It was ready quickly, though, but I'd rather wait 10 minutes for a fresh kapsalon than 1 minute and end up with a dry mess. The absolute worst shawarma place in all of Capelle! Picked up a kapsalon and asked twice on the phone if it could be finely sliced. I could pick up my order within 5 minutes, so I did. Upon arrival, it turned out the man behind the grill hadn't even realized I had placed an order, so he only started working on it then. In the meantime, I asked twice again if it could be finely sliced; the gentleman behind the grill didn't like this, looked irritated and grumpy, sat muttering, and had no interest in his work. The shawarma was ready within 2 minutes, which already surprised me. Upon arriving home, there were huge chunks of meat and stale fries, and the meat also had a weird smell and went straight into the trash. If you want to get sick and be treated grumpily, don't go here!!

The durum kebab mince was extremely dry and looked more like falafel. The durum and salad were also very dry. On the expensive side for what you get. The durum hot chicken was good.

I've been coming here for over 10 years. Unfortunately, it changed owners once, and the portions were halved. Now it seems there's a new owner, because the portions have been halved again, and the price is much higher. Thankfully, the food has remained the same. But much less food for much more money, and having to eat from a plastic plate. I leave hungry. Such a shame. From now on, I'll be going to Chicken House. They sell the same chicken.

I had a fantastic meal recently! Wild Turkish pizza with chicken doner and doner was delicious. The sauces were served separately, which was great because I prefer garlic to sambal. And they seemed incredibly friendly! They showed genuine respect, and you get that in return.

I lived in Schollevaar for 25 years and, in the early 90s, came here for dinner with a whole gang of scooter drivers after going out. The owner would be behind the counter, and the place would be packed. You were served quickly, and the owner was friendly. I still remember him wearing a glove behind the counter. I can be brief about the food: it's the best shawarma in the Netherlands. The onion and garlic sauce are also excellent. And how about those delicious French fries? I now live in Ridderkerk and have tried many shawarmas throughout the country, including Jaffa. I have to say, Jaffa is a well-known name; the shawarma is okay but not exceptional. I dare say that Tavor is in a league of its own, the food is that good. And funnily enough, the number two shawarma in my old neighborhood, which is in Alexanderpolder, is owned by Egyptians, also like Tavor, who have been working hard for over 30 years and serving delicious food. Besides Tavor and Grillroom Alexandria, I've never seen such good shawarma anywhere else in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I no longer live in Capelle, but whenever I visit an acquaintance every few years, I always stop by Tavor. I sometimes read negative reviews about Tavor, but as a veteran, I've never encountered this, and I have 30 years of experience with this place.

The food is delicious. That's why we always come back here after an evening at KCC with a group of KCC volunteers.

Very poor, and the Inspectorate should definitely pay a visit regarding hygiene. Very stingy. They even charge an extra euro if you want onions on your stuffed Turkish pizza 🍕. Not recommended to try.

The best! There are places like Jaffa that also have a good flavor, but Tavor's meat is more tender, and no one can match it.

Legendary in Capelle and surroundings

In all the years I've lived in Capelle, it's simply the best shawarma you can imagine. Delicious. And super friendly staff too. Top notch. Probably the best shawarma place in Capelle and the surrounding area.

I usually only write reviews about positive experiences, but this one was so disappointing... Years ago, I used to come here a lot, and the kapsalon was always delicious. So when I was in the area with a few people, we decided to pick up some kapsalon. First, they wouldn't mix the sauce into your kapsalon, but only give it in separate containers. When it was time to pay, I was immediately directed to the ATM where I had to choose a tip, which started at around 4 euros! Then I asked if I could swap two sambal sauces for one garlic sauce, and I was curtly told, "No, that will cost you 2 euros extra." Two euros for one container of garlic! I already regretted tipping then, and even more so when we got home and the kapsalons were made with cold fries! We'll never go back; what a step backwards!

Second time I ordered, also the last time. One wrap wasn't fully wrapped (the wrap was folded double) and the meat tasted like it came from the supermarket freezer. This was the first time I didn't finish my Durum Doner and threw half of it away! Also when paying you are almost forced to tip, which isn't normal for a "snackbar".

After 15 years I drove by again for my childhood memories of the “baguette shawarma super special”. Then after a night in Hollywood. Now after a day at the office. Except for the name, nothing had changed about the taste. Also still the same garlic and sambal sauce. The guy behind the cash register was very friendly. I thought it was nostalgic!

Went to Tavor again after a long time. About 15 years ago, when I still lived in the area, this was a regular spot. Tasty coarsely chopped shawarma, excellent hair salon. Still served with garlic sauce, a slightly spicy sauce and a fresh tomato sauce. Worth the detour, as if time has stood still (in a pleasant sense).

I was really impressed,The food is absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that took me back to the best culinary traditions. The kebab was perfectly cooked, succulent and accompanied by really tasty side dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and invites you to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Kebab Grill to anyone looking for a satisfying and flavorful meal. I can't wait to go back

I was hungry after work and didn't feel like cooking or a standard Chinese menu and thought it was time for Tavor again after a very long time because I was in the Rijnmond region. Prices have risen everywhere, but quality/quantity must remain in proportion. You pay the main price and the quantity is okay, but not what I was used to from Tavor or compared to other things. Even if I have to pay €50 for a dish, if it is good in all respects, I will drive over for it. But then about the quality of the food… A large part of the shawarma meat was chopped so finely that it really looked like minced meat, there were also burnt pieces in between, but the biggest drawback... It just wasn't good in terms of taste! Fries, vegetables and sauces are always fresh. They even wait until the last minute to fry the fries and that has always remained top notch here. I am certainly not writing Tavor off and hope that the employees and owner simply see this as feedback and do everything they can to regain that leading position. For me, Tavor was in the top 3 of the best shawarma shop in the entire Rijnmond region. But was just very disappointed after the last time. February 7, 2025. As I indicated in my previous review. Tavor was in my top 3 of the best shawarma shops in the Rijnmond region. I gave it another chance yesterday and man, man, man, I ENJOYED it again! The only downside is that it is not unlimited and that the bowl of food came to an end. 😉 Simply delicious and I will be back soon!

Best shawarma place I know. We live in Gelderland and are in the area once in a while. If possible, we like to stop at Tavor. You can eat the tastiest shawarma in the Netherlands here!

We have been coming here for years. Always very satisfied with this shawarma shop. But since the business was taken over by others, the food and quality have deteriorated so much. The taste is also not as good as it used to be. It has a very pungent pork flavor. The meat is also really coarse. Really big pieces and lots of fat and soggy meat in between. Just not what we are used to from Tavor. Previously, the meat was cut finer and cooked better. I also think the price has increased enormously. I understand that prices have risen everywhere, but the quality has always been good. But unfortunately not anymore the last few times we have eaten from here. I'm not alone in complaining about the taste of the meat. I hear from more people in my area that they find the taste and quality less good than before. Unfortunately, me and my family also became quite ill after eating here recently. Very unfortunate, but they have lost us as customers. - Edit after owner's response: Very unfortunate also the owner's reaction. Just says enough actually. So I only write untruths. So the only untruth/misunderstanding is the change of ownership. Everything else is unfortunately true. This review was not about the staff. Went out with a friend and had a shawarma sandwich. After eating we wanted to pay for each sandwich separately... well that was not possible. The rules were referred to in a shouty and aggressive tone, with no exceptions possible. I have rarely experienced something like this, the atmosphere was simply hostile even though I asked a very normal question. In the end I paid for 4 people and had to send 4 tikkies, including to 2 ladies who were sitting at our table and whom I barely knew. Once but NEVER again, I have rarely experienced something like this...just embarrassing. UPDATE: also the response to my message; I think it says enough, right? These people are not concerned with customer friendliness or quality. With my shawarma special I had to find half of the bun at the bottom... the other half was missing. This is a mockery and too sad for words. I do enjoy the owner's spelling here... that's also the only thing to laugh about at Tavor.

March 5, 2022 I went to a hair salon for the last time and haven't been for a while because I now live next to Capelle. Here a large hair salon costs 9 euros and at Tavor it costs 12. I don't understand the difference. Shawarma remains shawarma. Fries have also changed, they are a lot thinner than before, I remember. I used to look forward to a nice, greasy bite, but not at Tavor anymore. Just too expensive and not particularly good in taste. Edit: stomach ache and very windy

Zeer onvriendelijk personeel! Wilden graag per persoon afrekenen en dat kon niet.. “stond in de regels”. Uiteindelijk 4 tikkies moeten sturen waarvan 2 aan mensen die ik niet ken en die ook bij ons aan tafel zaten. Belachelijk, kom er NOOIT meer.

Good food and quite a lot. What I don't understand is because they already had the showarma meat separately and not the typical roll and they cut it on the spot. Everything else is excellent. They accept a visa that other kebabs I wouldn't go for again.

Got food poisoning after eating a kapsalon from tavor. Kapsolon is very pricey and didn't taste like anything. You are also forced to tip when picking up food. Tavor is not what it used to be.

I've been coming here since I was fifteen and it still tastes the same. In my opinion the tastiest shawarma and kebab in the Netherlands.

Not recommended. The hair salon is 12.50, for that price you can expect something. Unfortunately, the quality is not up to par. The shawarma did not taste good

Poe, Tavor. I used to eat very tasty Turkish pizzas here, packed with meat and cheese. Just at the table, on a plate with a generous bottle of garlic sauce and sambal. Good old days after there was some beer in it. Picked up a Turkish pizza a while ago and it was less. It had carrots in it, I'm not a fan of that, but hey, that's personal. Maybe it's because it was picked up. 4 stars for the food, but the service and atmosphere, especially after reading the owner's response here, have to be compromised. I really don't need you to be overly customer-friendly. Just act normal, then you're acting crazy enough. But there is also a lower limit in terms of professional representativeness.

Super dirty hair salon. Much too expensive too, 12 euros is something you can expect. But no cucumber, tomato or onion to be found on it. Very little lettuce and 1 slice of cheese over a large container of kapsalon. lots of dry chicken and nasty french fries. The garlic sauce was good, but not enough to remove that dry bite. Response to owner's response: It's bizarre that an entrepreneur treats customers this way, everything is up to the customer and not him. Altijd vriendelijke mensen en heerlijke Shoarma. Ik rijd er speciaal voor om. Groot voordeel is dat het eten snel wordt geserveerd, dus ook voor even een snelle hap een aanrader.

Het is echt een eethuis en geen restaurant met ook een redelijk terras. Dat in acht nemende is het een prima zaak om wat te eten of te drinken, ook als je onderweg bent.

Ik heb vanavond voor €54,- eten gehaalt maar mijn vlees was koud, de pita kapot gesneden waardoor ik 'm niet kon vullen en de patat nog net niet rauw... Vervolgens gebelt maar niemand die de telefoon aan nam... Sorry maar dit is echt een gemiste kans en erg jammer want ik kwam altijd graag bij jullie. Conclusie: na herhaaldelijk geen geweldig goede kwaliteit en hoge prijzen voor mij voorlopig geen tavor meer helaas Als antwoord op uw antwoord. Ik hoef niet de dupe te zijn van de drukte van feyenoord. Mijn geld is niet van blik en €54,- is serieus geld. Dit was mijn avond eten, ik heb het ook erg druk gehad vandaag met feyenoord, maar het heeft niet gesmaakt.

Pas geleden na lange tijd weer eens langs geweest om 2 kapsalon te te bestellen. Niet erg om €11,- te betalen voor een kapsalon maar dan moet je wel kapsalon krijgen. Dit was een bak patat met een beetje vlees erop merken we bij thuiskomst. Dat was vroeger wel anders,..............jammer!
