This is a Sichuan Chinese restaurant in the Chinatown area of ​​Amsterdam. There was a red light district on the way, so I unintentionally went to eat while making eye contact with professional women. The mapo tofu was delicious, the nureungji stew was so-so, and the Sichuan-style spicy noodles were average. The price was reasonable and I had a spicy and delicious meal for the first time in a while.😊

This is my favorite restaurant for over 20 years! The food is amazing! I don’t like the “Dutch Chinese” restaurants. But this is original Chinese food. Also many Chinese people eat here. They have 3 restaurants. All great!

As someone who has had Sichuan cuisine before, there's a glaring lack of spiciness and depth of flavour, not enough "ma" or "la" in some dishes, and too salty for some others. It's not bad, but not fantastic either. Service also wasn't great, truth be told. A bit on the pricier side too, so beware. Their special fried rice is pretty good though, good amount of wokhey, and decent flavour balance. Otherwise, it's just alright.

The food: it’s okay. The taste is completely off (comparing to the real Chinese food), but it’s not bad. The only real complain is to the duck: it was burned and crispy. This restaurant is located in the middle of Amsterdam's China Town. The restaurant is very authentic and it was delicious. For me one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever visited. Caution is advised when making your choice of spiciness. It is original and not adapted to European standards. I will definitely go again on my next visit to Amsterdam.

China Sichuan Restaurant on Zeedijk offers top-quality Chinese cuisine with generous portions. The massive menu doesn’t affect the quality—each dish, from kung pao chicken to spicy mapo tofu, is perfectly seasoned. A bit pricey but worth every bite!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and fast service. Spicy but still manageable, as someone who doesn't handle spicy very well. Good addition to my list of tasty restaurants.

For authenticity Sichuan food I give 3-4 stars because they didn’t use the Sichuan peppercorn in their dishes. Big menu but not everything is available. For presentation I give 4-5 stars. Service was okay, it was on Thursday night. Will return.

Great spot! The food came out quickly and it was all so flavorful. Was great to share with multiple people and we had leftovers.

Our children like to eat steamed buns, which are very fresh and juicy. Maoxuewang is very satisfying. The chicken with vine pepper is a bit bitter, maybe I don’t like it very much. The ribs are also delicious. The stir-fried kidney liver has a little too much oil but the liver is very tender and tastes OK.

La comida era sabrosa, generosa, recién cocinada y caliente. Teníamos sopa de pollo y huevo, pato con tortitas, salsa de pollo y frijoles negros y arroz frito vegetal. El servicio era bueno: había numerosos camareros y camareras estando atentos a pesar de lo ocupado que estaba. Habíamos decidido ordenar cada curso a la vez, ya que no estábamos seguros de cuán hambrientos estábamos. Recomendamos compartir platos para uno, y si todavía tienes hambre, pide otro plato, como hicimos nosotros. La única decepción fue el pato que estaba cubierto de migas de pan, que no era como se muestra en la imagen.

Best fried rice I’ve ever had (I’m from the American west, so not like my opinion about this is king, but… it was delicious)

We had dinner twice here coz the food is sooo delicious. Do try the special fried rice and the Ando lamb. Also the pork dumplings with Zhongs special sauce which is amazing. Staff on the first day weren’t very good at service but it didn’t stop us from coming back. However we had different people serving the next day and they were lovely. Do visit this gem of a spicy sichuan restaurant.

If you are a Chinese and have an average Chinese stomach. I highly do not recommend this restaurant, their menu and promotion make it look very attractive. But it was actually very unpalatable, very, very unpalatable. On the way home after eating it for the first time, I was so disgusted by the food that I vomited. We ordered 4 dishes, all of which were not Chinese food in the traditional sense. I can only say it was disgusting. It is highly not recommended to waste money. I only provide a photo of Pepper Chicken to experience it for yourself. 🤮🤮🤮

Huge portions, good food, unfortunately the Mongolian beef was too spicy for us to enjoy. Service was rather rubbish also, we basically got ignored and had to call over when we wanted to order.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food is not really tasty. The space is narrow. Toward the end of our meal, my friends and I were abruptly asked to leave so they could seat the next group, which felt extremely rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when we asked to split the bill, the staff refused, claiming it was too much work for them.

This restaurant makes you feel like you‘re in China. The food was delicious and was served very fast. The service people were always smiling and that brightened up the place. I love it!

Not happy with the restaurant. Ordered the sichuan royal pork, came lukewarm, and it’s not spicy. The rice is not hot enough as well. At the end, we cleared out bill with cash, the waiter gave us less changes without saying anything

Very good but VERY spicy, not recommended for those who can't tolerate it well. I have a medium-low tolerance and I liked the dishes with level 1 spiciness, my boyfriend with a medium-high level managed to eat a level 2 dish. I recommend taking the Mongolian beef (level 1 very good) with a bowl of white rice, trust me it helps a lot, and the si-chuan spicy dumpling.

On the way back through Amsterdam, I quickly found a Chinese restaurant to soothe my stomach. The dishes were rich and tasted pretty good. For those who like spicy food, they might not find it spicy enough. Among the dishes I ordered today, the most satisfying one was the "Spicy Chicken" "Ding", it was really fragrant when served, and the diced chicken was fried very crispy. Secondly, the "Sichuan Hot and Sour Noodles" were really sour and enjoyable to eat. The portion was not small, but the price was not low either! The other dishes are also good, but not as amazing. However, I am really happy to be able to eat oriental flavors in a different place!

The two dishes I ordered, vegetarian dishes and spicy chicken, were both authentic and took a while to make, so I felt that these two dishes were freshly made (the table next to us ordered later than the stir-fried dishes but they were served right away) ). The taste of the food is not very special but it was delicious enough for our taste buds when we visited for lunch. When you arrived it wasn't too busy, the service was good, fast and they could communicate a little English or Dutch.

The waiter had a very bad attitude and educated us in a condescending manner. The portion of the dish is not large, and the 20 yuan vegetables were gone in a few bites. The taste is decent, but unfortunately not worth the price.

We ordered pork sichuan which came in huge potion. Vegetables spring roll was a lie 😒 hardly find vegetables in it, just deep fried thick wraps. The lady taking orders had a stingy smile.

Really good tasting Sichuan eats. Quite a BIG menu with pictures and many options. We had only two items but the spicy beef hot pot was spicy as it should be. The restaurant wasn't busy but poor service. We had to watch for a waiter to come around and wave them down. The decor was nice. It was really warm in the restaurant but we bear through it. Very strange..no option for tap water; must be a thing here. Or opportunity to take advantage of the tourists. As others have noted..it is a bit pricey.

We left our food. I've never done that before in a restaurant. It was very disappointing. The staff is friendly. Toilet had no toilet paper, soap or disposable wipes. Drink without a glass but from the bottle. Cutlery was not that clean and the room was dusty.

I visited without reservation and I saw people waiting outside. I went inside and asked waitress how long will we wait. I had been the customer of this restaurant for last 5 years but yesterday I decided to not go there anymore. The food quality and portion have changed a lot. Food was served in small portion with very casual presentation. The waitress told me it is because they used small plates🙂. Dude As an old customer I know what the normal portion is. My request for returning the food (untouched) or discount were all rejected. I had to agreed with their proposal of increasing the portion of my dishes. Finally I got a NORMAL portion which you can tell from the picture. For old customers I highly recommend managing your expectation before you enter this restaurant again as it is not the one in your memory anymore.

I would rate zero star if it’s possible. The food is no sichuan food at all. The manager is not friendly. Don’t go there!!!

This is the first time in my life that I have given a negative review, which is a huge shock! The attitude of the waiter was so bad. Even though it was expensive, it was too small and tasted terrible! I once wondered if the chef had made a mistake with the seasoning! The hygienic condition is also worrying. When the waiter set the tableware, I saw fingerprints on the spoon.

The menu here is massive - a book, a large book with pictures and details of the dish (in English too). The food was good - Crispy Peking duck (nice and crispy), sweet and sour pork and some boiled rice. Waiting staff are not very attentive but we noticed they were more than willing to explain any queries about the menu. Tables are close together.

I ordered the tasty ground meat and noodles soup for 20€, it was the cheapest main dish on the menu. it was well worth the price, the broth was really flavourful and had a lot of spice to it, I loved it! The restaurant itself was nicely decorated in all red, chairs/furniture was a bit worn but its a busy place. If I ever have more money to spend, I will definitely consider ordering a Peking duck dish here for 30+€. For now, as a student, it is not the restaurant for me.

Service is dreadful. Staff with eyes down to avoid being attentive. Waited ages for a 2nd menu so I could also order as they are huge, unwieldy encyclopaedias (get small ones guys). Asked for chopsticks and they forgot. Saw at least 2 different tables getting wrong orders. Neighbours didn’t have cutlery. Food itself was okay (a little oily). Quite expensive too (it is Chinatown). Atmosphere was nice as it has nice decore.

We ordered chili chicken and veg fried rice with some pickled radish and received egg fried rice instead. Also the fried rice looked completely different from the pictures in the menu. The taste was good and the portion size was huge.

Foods are good. Acceptable price , quite big portion. Rice is not served together, you have to order extra, 1,5€/portion. Everything is ok accept the lacking of hospitality, the waitresses are unfriendly, the WC is small and there’s no soap or antibacterial hand wash

I love Chinese food, hopefully I will have the chance to visit China and experience the different flavors, but for now I will make do with the opportunities as they currently present themselves to me. Sichuan has some of the best Chinese food I have eaten outside of Chinatown in San Francisco and if you ask me that is the best you will find in the US! I know, New Yorkers will be ready to square up, but I said what I said and I stand on it! Sichuan is cooking Sichuan food, don’t ask for anything but what is on the menu, and it comes how it comes. Yes they will ask about spice level and also let you know if a dish you order is hot, but don’t try those substitutions that you are accustomed to getting here, and don’t ever ask if they can make General Tso chicken, what an insult ! The food starts coming out once it’s finished, so be ready, but I will say, the types of dishes used kept the food hot for the entire meal. My soup was steaming and before I could enjoy more than a few sips the rice, vegetables and chicken I ordered was rolling out! The portions are large, designed to share, so be mindful of that when ordering, you don't want to have a table full of food go to waste from over ordering. Chinese restaurant in downtown Amsterdam with specialities from the south of china. Quite busy and loud but staff is friendly and food comes quite fast.

Absolutely not recommended!!! The food was bad and didn't taste good at all. Not to mention the rooms, it's far too narrow in the restaurant, everyone has to push past the table, it's dirty everywhere, the staff isn't particularly friendly and we'd rather not even talk about the toilets. There were four of us there, first the order was taken incorrectly, we got a dish that wasn't ordered and we didn't get the rice we ordered, but of course everything was on the bill, which is why we had to discuss it.

This is our go to restaurant for Sichuan cuisine in the Netherlands. Lots of dishes to choose from, the service is quick-ish and decent price for the quantity and Amsterdam city centre. Overall satisfies the craving for that tongue numbing spice.

My friend and I were visiting Chinatown in Amsterdam, and finally came to this restaurant. I've never seen such a huge menu, there was so much choice that you just had to find something for yourself. Service was quick and the food was really tasty. Maybe the prices were a bit high but appropriate for the quality.

Really good sichuan food and big portions! Definitely more on the “pricier” side when it comes to chinese restaurants but it was definitely worth the try.

We came here to have dinner and the treatment from the staff (a girl) has been very rude and unpleasant.
