A very good lunchroom with delicious bread and other food. We had a pleasant, hardworking waiter who did his best to speak Dutch. The coffee was also excellent.

I really enjoyed the food here. Everything tasted clean and made with quality ingredients. The bread was especially good. It is also a great spot for people-watching, especially if you sit near the windows or outside. A lovely place to enjoy a simple, delicious lunch.

Nice, cozy place. They don't have any typical sandwiches, but they do have more unusual and expensive dishes. Still, it's a bit overpriced for what they offer. The name doesn't really suit the place. I did have a delicious omelet, though.

I just had fresh orange juice and my sister had coffee, it was a good place to sit and enjoy your coffee definitely. Food in the display seemed fresh. Would love to try more.

We had a wonderful time here! We were served by a young man with round glasses, who was very friendly and funny, and made the visit extra enjoyable. The food was also great. We will definitely be back!

I’m always so grateful for the quality of the good served at le Pain Quotidien. They have higher welfare eggs, have vegetarian and vegan options, the ingredients used are always of superior quality than any other bakeries. It’s such a great addition to this neighbourhood and I’ve sent many of my visitors there: I just know they will deliver!

Surprisingly enjoyable and delicious food. The service was lovely and friendly, and our Moos really enjoyed his egg!

It was chaotic: lots of different people at your table, and the staff seemed to have no idea who was doing what. We waited about twenty minutes for drinks. The tartines were quite expensive, and in my opinion, the price-quality ratio wasn't right. If you have to pay €39.70 for two sandwiches, one coffee, and one orange juice, everything should have gone smoothly and flawlessly, and the tuna tartine should be even better than a slice of bread cut into corners. The croque monsieur was a bit more satisfying, as it was served with a nice salad.

Barely three stars. The staff is very young, and there's virtually no structure. It's a bit annoying, for example, when people who come in after you are served first, while you have to actively ask for attention, but oh well. The tuna sandwich is a brown bread slice in five triangles with tuna salad, and the croque is a double grilled sandwich with ham and cheese. Not unappetizing, but certainly nothing special. We thought it was a bit much to pay €39.70 for just a few sandwiches, a café latte, and an orange juice.

There is an atmosphere that suits me very much, i.e. special menus, eating from a plank instead of a plate, etc.

What a surprise this place is! Lots of delicious dishes to choose from, as well as sandwiches and pastries! The service is very friendly and fast. As someone from the north, I rarely visit the south, but this visit is definitely worth repeating. I also had no idea Gelderlandplein was such a beautiful and large shopping center.

The staff was really slow and rude. I think Cinnamonroll was from three days ago; you could barely get through.

They have gluten-free options for everything!! I had breakfast here, and it was amazing, a bit pricey maybe, but the ingredients were all fresh and so plenty. Atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing, quiet music and you have indoor and outdoor sittings. I avoid chain bakeries, but Le Pain really surprised me - positively. The girl at the counter was so nice.

When I'm in Marrakech, people pass through there every day... However, in Amsterdam, it's a shame because it reminds me of the good taste of the country.

The service is excellent. The food is average and below average. The prices are high. The seating is spacious and there is indoor and outdoor seating. I liked that it is adjacent to the mall.

We were treated just as outrageously by grumpy staff. We are not used to that here. This was the last time.

In the 10 years that I have been coming here, I have always been welcomed in a friendly and cheerful manner. The way in which I was received today by the new waitress, a slightly tanned lady with a silver tooth, I can only describe as rude. I hope that she can get coaching from her colleagues to develop a better understanding of what basic standards of decency are. Otherwise, I wish her, with such an ego and attitude, much strength in life.

Been here multiple times and even though the food is passable nd location is great, the service just lacks by a lot. You'd think they'd get a grip of the situation, but every time I go there we experience delays, and overall a bad experience, like receiving food before having silverware and being told to wait for a simple knife and fork for 10-15 minutes...

It can hardly get much worse. We come in to place an order. It all happens painfully slowly. When it is our turn we are told that we have to be served at the table. I indicated that accepting the order now should not be a problem. The young lady clearly did not enjoy her work. The coffees and madeleines would be delivered. We sat down on the terrace. Let's just say they took their time. The nice thing about coffee with something is that there is something to it. Unfortunately that didn't go well. The old gentleman also brought the coffees painfully slowly again. The madeleines arrived when the coffee was half gone. The coffee wasn't that good. Unfortunately, the excellent madeleine cannot make up for the lousy service. Why should you go here once? Take a seat on the terrace and enjoy the cars coming in and out of the parking garage. It's a happy chaos. The Muidersluis, but with cars, so to speak. Furthermore: avoid this address.

We enjoy eating here! It's also nice that you can take a look inside the bakery. We sometimes have breakfast or lunch on the spot, but you can say that you are not really comfortable.

Very nice place to eat or drink something! So definitely recommended. This was the first time, so we only ordered a croissant and a tea, but we will definitely do it again. Compared to the other places in the area, the quality is better, you pay a little more for it, but I don't mind that. So I think price-quality is fine. What's great is that there is a lift for disabled people so they can go to the toilets on the 1st floor. Upon entering we were greeted kindly and were able to take a seat. It took some time before we could order because the other staff didn't realize we were there. That was one of the negatives. But we were then kindly addressed and helped. We ordered the almond croissant and a chai. Croissant was nice and warm because it had just been freshly baked, so very fluffy. And the chai tasted great, just a little too sweet for my taste. The staff is very friendly and helpful and also gives good advice. You get what they indicate, so that's very nice. Another downside was that the toilets were not very tidy. But other than these minuses, a nice place to sit for a while. I think you can also sit here when the weather is a little better. You can order all kinds of dishes and drinks from breakfast to late lunch. Update: ordered the chai again, but it didn't really have a chai taste like last time. When I reported it, I was told that everyone uses a different amount of powder. Chai was less sweet. So I hope we get a stronger chai next time.

Not a friendly atmosphere, I entered at 13.00 into this cafe and ordered a breakfast and orange juice, service was very fast but after I finished my breakfast, waiters asked for 4-5 times within 1 hour, if I want to order something else or not. I was reading something in my computer and could not focus, had to leave the place. I left at 14.00.. Definitely not recommended!

The service is really nice, the staff is friendly. It’s really spacious inside, with a small terrace. The food is alright but nothing special, tho the price is a bit high for the dishes.

The staff is extremely fast at taking orders and providing food. They are very children friendly and have lots of food that can satisfy both an adult and a 4yo. We visit once a month or so and find the place great for an occasional lunch when going out as a family.

Unfortunately, rock hard chairs, very helpful and friendly staff, delicious bread. The tuna was tasty, the salmon meh...and for a simple sandwich with tuna or salmon for €14, quite a bit pricey. The wine was tasty, it's a pity that the red is served in a small white wine glass, but inquiries revealed that this was decided by management because such a small amount of red wine in a nice red wine glass would result in an almost empty glass. As a customer I think: increase the amount of wine to a normal size, like elsewhere in Europe. There is certainly enough money to be made at the current prices!

Warm hummus and chicken are both so heavenly. I like to eat warm lunch from the oven and Le Pain Quotidien offers delicious options.

I had a small capuccino and an almond croissant and I spent 10 euros! I thought this is not normal. When I asked the staff, they told me they charge more because of 'service', which was never mentioned. Later I knew that the croissant is almost double price if you eat in! So be aware of this ridiculous policy.

Cozy and tasty. The recent new warm chocholate offering is not an improvement but Alexander has been super kind, friendly and welcoming since the first moment. We'll return thanks to him.

Really deteriorated extremely.. smoothie tastes like Alberthein bought things. Top floor closed even though the good chairs are there. Why can't people provide more authentic services? extremely expensive too.

The interior is great, very cosy and warm. The staff can be better, they were confused about their own menu. Food and juice is average, the menu is extensive but the quality is not good enough for the price you have to pay.

Loud. Befuddled chaotic staff. Mediocre coffee at best. Eggs fresh but not cooked as ordered. But above all: hopelessly overpriced.

The waiter was a little too nice. Touching us in order to get our attention is kinda weird.

I liked the place although it is a bit too "green" for my taste so is the food selection. I ordered the salmon tartain an it was really nice. Also tried the hummus which was quite good. This is a good place for brunch or breakfast and when you're not too hungry.

Sad. How dare you serve something like that? Scrambled eggs with avocado and salmon with a hunk of baguette and a dry slice of sourdough bread. No effort was made at all to present or flavor the whole thing in a pleasant way. Doing it yourself with the salt and pepper mills on the table was also not an option. None worked. The avocado was also not ripe. Only positive: friendly waitresses.

Dirty filthy sticky tables. If you ask to clean, you will be given an explanation about how to stick it and a napkin to put on it. By then I was done with it. The drinks come after about 10 minutes, but the cakes are not there 15 minutes later. The cappuccino is just not tasty. Paid and had the cakes taken off the bill. In short: once but never again. Ps. I gave the food 3 stars because I have no experience with it.

Very busy today on a Saturday 24th Aug, sat about 10 min and I was only provided with a menu card. Needed to wave to the waiter to order and to ask to clean the table. My lunch was served within reasonable time, but I could not understand why my drinks did not come when I finished my lunch, saw people ordered drinks after me and got theirs before me. Maybe mess up in order sequence? But left without getting my oat cappucino and fresh mint thee. Baker's lunch was good. In the end, I sat about 45 min without drinks, just lunch was served.

Very nice and quiet place. A little long delay to get the card. Everything we ate was very good, coffee and fruit juice also very good. Price actually a little high for an omelette but still quality products. The toilets are also, it must be noted, clean.

A nice spot to have breakfast while enjoying the sun in front of the shopping mall. I ordered scrambled eggs with salmon and it was simple and delicious. The coffee was a little small in quantity for me but it was nice. The service was courteous and attentive.

I try to refrain from chains, especially for bakeries or alike … and for a valid reason! Prices here are a bit higher than a normal bakery or breakfast place and the quality is not exceptional. Don’t get me wrong, food is okay and it’s not CRAZY expensive: simply for the same amount of money you can eat better in a better location of Amsterdam, that’s it! But the atmosphere is very cosy, it has lots of space inside with high ceilings which are very aesthetic! However I asked for a glass of water as did my mates and the guy brought us a bottle charging 6 euros for that… that’s really not nice (thanks Vincent for paying 🖤❤️💛)

We had a delicious lunch, the staff was friendly and clearly present. Chocolate cake looked less nice, as did the taste. Caramel cake was tasty.

I ordered a capuccino and a French Toast. The capuccino wasn't good and need to wait more than 20 minutes for the French Toast (and the place was completely empty, so no excuses), when it arrived my capuccino was already cold, and the French toast was awful soooo sweet, with a lot uncooked sugar and you could count the small pieces of strawberries. Defenitely, don't worth the price.

One star because you can just sit here for 12 minutes without being helped. Cleaning up coffee cups and tea pots is more important here than helping your guests. Pity

Excellent breakfast. Many choices for lactose free. It's a bit strange that they serve drinks in soup bowls. Update: Ordered today via Uber Eats. This was a bit disappointing for €25 yoghurt sandwich and 1 pastry. That chia pudding is much better if you eat on location. Same goes for the sandwich. Delivery was fast.

Nice food , unfortunately very very pricey and not in proportion to what you get. The cappuccino is not good, very weak and with a lot of airy foam.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, was plenty enough food and fair price. We had the goat cheese from the farm that is for sure one of the best I ever had. Croissants also delicious and extremely soft.

Cozy lunchroom at Gelderlandplein in Amsterdam Buitenveldert. Everything is "organic", but also terribly pricey. Not much else special to report.

I've been to New York so I thought it would be a great idea to visit here too. Sandwiches are way overpriced for what you get. There was one nice gentleman in the service, but before we could take a seat, I asked the waitress something, but we should not have done that, what a terribly rude and grumpy lady she was, who clearly does not enjoy her work. Just walked around like that and didn't help anyone. Also went wrong with our order, got drinks when we had eaten all our sandwiches, but every time You tried to make contact with someone, they just ignored you. Not recommended to go here, because for such an expensive sandwich I really expected much better and friendly service..

Mooie zitplek, vriendelijk personeel maar de salade die ik bestelde is absoluut niet in verhouding met de prijs. Caesar salade voor €18,75 met 2 plakjes kipfilet (broodbeleg) in stukjes gesneden, een eitje en wat croutons. De avocado was bruin op meerderen plekken. Niet ok om hiervoor dit bedrag te vragen. Misschien ziet de salade er niet altijd zo uit (dat hoop ik oprecht) en heb ik gewoon pech gehad.

I often have breakfast and lunch at Pain at various locations. At Groot Gelderlandplein for the first time and unfortunately it was a bad experience. I don't want to write in detail, because I don't want to insult the matter in such a way. But in my case I would really like to ask the owner to make an incognito visit. The service really needs to be improved. And!, diva behavior is so not done. Then the employees will have to work elsewhere. Very unfortunate, because I was so excited to have breakfast with you.

Jammer genoeg was deze tent een stuk minder vriendelijk dan de overige horeca in de omgeving. Menukaart is onduidelijk. Cappuccino is 75% schuim, latte is waterig en heel veel schuim. Thee werd slordig geserveerd aan een kind. Pain was keihard, je tand gaat bijna stuk. Smaakte zeker niet vers. Mandje mer broodjes was een dikke teleurstelling voor 7.95! Vier kleffe desemsneetjes die ook ijskoud waren en een minuscuul stukje pain die keihard was. Het uiteinde van een stokbroodje. Personeel is vreselijk arrogant en verre van vriendelijk. Ze worden ook gestimuleerd om zo te gedragen en verdedigd. Ga je betalen dan wordt aan anderen gevraagd of het gesmaakt heeft en aan ons werd niks gevraagd. Enige en standaard response op feedback: zi werkt ons concept! Niet mee eens, want jullie winkel in Amstelveen scoort beter en jullie serveren niks wat overeenkomt met een frans ontbijt. Al met al, niet eens een ster waard. Vraag me af hoe lang ze open zullen blijven

Waited so long for our order and first they brought the wrong order. Then they brought the right one 15 minutes later and it was a cappucino which was very bad ( watery and no milk in it ? ) . When we wanted to pay we noticed some things were wrong so we said it and the response from the person was : “Well these are our prices “ . In the end they were wrong so they gave us our money back in cash because they charged us more. I really did not have any problems here before and really liked it but I will not go there again and wont recommend it anyone to go .

Chai latte super lekker wel een beetje zoet. Ik had toast advocaat, voor die prijs had ik meer smaak van verwacht en een dikkere boterham...deze waren bijna doorzichtig.
