Honestly, I’ve had more flavorful food from a microwave. Everything was bland, boring, and completely forgettable. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen, but “chef” might be a generous title. Definitely not coming back.

Unfortunately really bad experience! I came in with my daughter as the place looked nice from outside, ordered a glass of red wine and pasta. The wine tasted awful and so called the waitress to ask for an exchange or refund. I was faced with a very passive agressive person with very weird unsettling attitude. She very reluctantly changed my glass and then spent the rest of the time visibly talking about us with the other waiter. The pasta was really bad too with questionable chicken pieces. We didn’t eat much of it fearing of food poisoning. Worst 48 pounds spent ever. Don’t go there!

Poor experience, poor customer care and food quality

Overpriced compared to quality and customer service. They got my order wrong, had to wait extra 10 minutes for my lasagna after i asked them if it's coming or not. Also ordered "panna cotta" for 9€ which turned out to be vanilla ice cream with berries... Would not recommend.

Nice atmosphere, but sadly the service was inexperienced and dismissive: the main issue being forgetting two of our three ordered meals. The food once it arrived was alright but not worth the service hassle.

We were a group of 8 friends going out to eat. Originally we had two separate bookings at Harry’s Pasta bar, but got offered a table at this place to sit together all 8 of us. We waited an hour for our food after placing the order, only to be met by a waiter that told us that he had forgotten our order and that we had to order again. We asked what happened and didn’t get a coherent response. We then asked to speak to the manager because waiting an hour to be forgetten is unacceptable. The waiter replied that the “boss” wasn’t at work. Two of us went back over to Harry’s pasta bar and talked to the manager over there that had sent us to this place, and explained the situation. He went with us back to destra del ponte and it ended in a free drink per person at the table which was reasonable. We eventually got our food after ordering again, served by a different waitress who didn’t know what she was serving when asked. Food was just okay, drinks were not good. Overall would not recommend. The leading staff were polite and solved things quickly, but they do not have control over their waiters

Got seated straight away but waited almost an hour for food to be served. Starter and main was served at the same time. I got the mushrooms with gorgonzola and it genuinely tasted like paint, my boyfriend got the soup which was nice so if you were to come maybe get that. We got the tomato pasta with prawns and the pollo Alfredo and they were both very bland. Service was very slow. Also might be unavoidable as it is an open door restaurant but there was a lot of flies in the restaurant as well

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. We arrived at 9:00 PM and explicitly asked if it was still possible to eat. We were told yes, with the explanation that the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. Fine—so we sat down, feeling confident. We were a group celebrating a bachelorette party, simply there to enjoy a nice, quiet meal before heading out to party. Unfortunately, this restaurant managed to turn what should have been a pleasant moment into a deplorable experience. In the middle of our meal, the waitress came to tell us we had to hurry up and finish our plates because they were closing. This was already very inappropriate, but that wasn't all: our drinks were then taken away before we'd even finished them, and the bill was brought to us, with the insistence that we leave. A complete lack of respect. The most shocking part? Other tables had barely received their food and received the exact same treatment. Why accept customers if you're just going to rush them out like that? As a bride-to-be, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. The waitress's reaction? A simple "okay," in a completely detached tone, without the slightest apology, without the slightest consideration. A truly astounding indifference. If you're looking for a place to have a good evening, look elsewhere. The service is mediocre, the hospitality nonexistent, and they have a rare talent for ruining an important moment. This restaurant doesn't deserve any stars. I strongly advise against it.

I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant in Amsterdam! We arrived around 9 pm and were told we could sit down, only to be told 30 minutes later to finish our meals as quickly as possible. They took away our drinks and brought us an adrenaline rush without us even asking, just to get us out of there quickly. This is a huge lack of respect in the restaurant industry. We explained our dissatisfaction and, above all, our astonishment at the service, but the waitress didn't react at all; for her, it was closing time, period. Another table was still eating, and the poor people were also shocked to have to leave so abruptly. I think you need to reconsider your career choice! If you don't want to finish working in a restaurant in a very touristy city at 11:30 pm, change your life! Clearly, to anyone who thought they could relax and enjoy a nice Italian meal, look elsewhere.

If you want authentic Italian food, skip this place. Ordered carbonara and tortellini - no flavour and spaghetti was swimming in fat. Really bad. They even managed to give us flat cokes, twice.

We booked a table here for a group of 16 people, and everything was fantastic! Even though the weather was incredibly hot that day, we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It’s usually tough to find a good spot for a large group in this area, but this place nailed it. Highly recommend!

The pizza is fantastic. I recommend trying the Amsterdam IJWIT and IPA beers, they're worth it. A great place for a meal and a break from exploring the Old Town.

Pizza was amazing - we had All Pollo and Margherita Spezial. The Service was very polite, fast and friendly and the place itself was very cosy. Quite a few places to sit but not uncomfortably overcrowed when full! Definitly safe for next time!

It's impossible to split the bill unless you pay with cash. The food is tasteless and too salty. The waitress was unfriendly. If you want to have a nice dinner, don't go there. And they have no cheese in an Italian restaurant, very funny.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The food is terrible and the service is absolutely awful. We are four students who came here for dinner and ended up paying around €100 in total. The waitress demanded that we either pay the whole bill with one single card (which simply wasn’t possible for us) or split the bill in cash — as if we were carrying €100 in cash around. On top of that, the food is clearly frozen. We asked for cheese and the waitress told us they had run out of it. Later, we literally saw them serve another customer a pizza with extra cheese on the side. Honestly, everything about this place needs to be reconsidered. Run away from this restaurant. Seriously — run, run, run.

When it came time to pay, we asked to split the bill four ways, and they asked us to pay in cash?? The waitress showed absolutely no understanding when we expressed our disappointment. Super cozy atmosphere! We didn't have to wait for a table, we went in right away and got a very comfortable table. We ordered 2 pizzas (the parmigiana was amazing) and a carbonara (not the original, it came with cream) and it was a good amount, there were 4 of us. Spectacular service. Salty food :/

A place that's just out to rip you off. Fitting for the red-light district. The sandwiches are served without dressing, mayo, or ketchup, and they charge €6 per portion for a handful of fries with the club sandwich. There were maybe 20 pieces at most, without mayo or ketchup. For a shandy, they bring you half a beer and a bottle of Sprite, so you end up paying €10. The service is unfriendly, and you only get a smile there if you pay cash. Right next to the toilet (which is extremely dirty) is the meager kitchen – delicious 🤤

Food was alright but service wasn’t the best, as a tourist I understand it’s not fair we don’t understand their language and that’s fine so we showed what we wanted off the menu. Starters and mains all came together which was fine but our waitress came over three times to double check our order even though she wrote it down and apologized saying she doesn’t know the menu which is crazy for her working there and then once most our food came out she came over and told me the thing I wanted the chef didn’t have even though we had already received everything else so too late to change and she blamed it on the chef saying he had just told her. Just awful service food was good but service really let it down so won’t be returning. Only had 3 nights here and wanted an Italian and had high hopes but was disappointed so wouldn’t reccomend wasting your time here.

I ordered the lasagna and it was excellent—rich, very cheesy, and served as an appropriate portion that really hits the spot. The menu also stood out for having a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone whether you’re in the mood for pasta, meat, or lighter dishes. Overall, solid food, good portions, and a place I’d happily come back to again. The staff was fantastic and one of the best experiences ive had in Amsterdam. Hello, I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel I have a right to do so here. Firstly, the service was quite pleasant but poorly organized (I should point out that this isn't the fault of the waitresses, who are unfortunately only three for the entire restaurant, which isn't enough). As for the restaurant itself, the doors were open, and some people at the entrance were still wearing their coats because of the wind blowing into the dining room. Then came the meal. I ordered penne carbonara (€17), and honestly, at that price, I expected much better. I was very disappointed with this restaurant, which at first glance seemed quite nice. I don't recommend it because I wasn't satisfied with the value for money. (PS: We waited 25 minutes between the time our plates were cleared and the time we received the bill.)

An exercise in mid food elevated to a depressing artform. I have had better pasta from a US chain restaurant. The porchetta et funghi was almost inedibly salty. They stuck two servers doing all the bussing, serving, etc. with is too few by half for such a busy restaurant.

I would give zero stars for the food if I could... the service was friendly, but we weren't really paid much attention. Instead, the staff were busy chatting amongst themselves, talking loudly, and sitting at tables in the restaurant drinking wine. We couldn't eat the Aglio Olio dish; the pasta was swimming in oil. The other dishes tasted like ready-made meals, which is probably why they were served in less than 10 minutes. There was also constant, noisy setting of other tables. There was no soap in the restroom. Not recommended!

It was really busy but the noise wasn't too bad. The food also came at a reasonable time. I had a 4 cheeses pasta and my boyfriend had a mixed grill. Both dishes were very tasty. Prices are reasonable. The staff was kind. The owner/manager was walking around making small talk with some of the guests. He gave a kid at the table next to us an extra cookie when they were leaving. He definitely made her day judging from how brightly she smiled. Would definitely come back here.

A very good Italian-style restaurant with a wide menu and very tasty and generous portions. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the restrooms are clean. The prices are reasonable. There's more seating upstairs, so go inside if it's busy.

A place to live, a place to not forget when visiting Amsterdam. The pizza al pollo was DELICIOUS! and a good tiramisú too! Eating while you hear salsa, cumbia… everything is a must here.

Spectacular!! We ordered the ravioli with mushrooms, Gorgonzola sauce, and walnuts. And my husband ordered the pasta with pancetta and mushrooms. Both were absolutely perfect. The pasta was deliciously al dente, very generous with the sauce, and everything was great. The quality was excellent, and the service was good. There was only one waitress, which meant the service was a little slow, but she was very nice and provided excellent service. I will be back.

We had lunch at this place, and besides paying €8 for a Coke, the pasta was inedible: it tasted only of garlic. On top of that, they dropped a candle and stained my jacket. I highly recommend it.

SCAM!!!!! I don't usually leave reviews, but the service was appalling. We were tourists, and the waitresses ripped us off. We arrived to eat, a party of six. The welcome was normal, we were seated, and even though there was no one else in the restaurant, they came to take our order 45 minutes later. Furthermore, we waited over an hour for our food. When I ordered a ribeye steak, the waitress asked me if I wanted salad or fries without specifying anything else. Then she asked if I also wanted pepper sauce or another sauce. We didn't ask how we wanted it cooked, and after the long wait… my meat arrived undercooked!!! The fries were frozen. We decided not to complain because, being young, we didn't want to draw attention to the waitresses' serious mistakes. When the bill arrived, the woman informed me that the fries were an extra €5.50 and the pepper sauce €3, totaling €8.50 in extra charges. Of course, this wasn't mentioned, as the waitress asked me about it as if it were a given when taking my order. I was completely baffled, as she never once mentioned it. The waitress then explained that the salad was free, but not the fries. What a joke! And €3 for a sauce?! Inflation, no doubt?! The waitress was laughing at us and speaking in a very unpleasant manner. Since we were tourists, she felt entitled to insult us… Her behavior was beyond unacceptable. I ended up paying the extras. I absolutely do not recommend this place!

Found this place late at night and really lucked out. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us and was a credit to the place. The food was amazing but the highlight was the calamari with garlic dip. Cooked to perfection! I'll be going back next time I'm in town for sure.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our first night in Amsterdam and loved it so much went back the next night too. Atmosphere is warm & cosy, staff absolutely lovely & off the scale stunning home cooked food. Ten out of ten…we will be back on our next visit to your beautiful city!

I went two nights ago and only one waitress working there who was so extremely nice and welcoming even though the restaurant was very very busy she attended and cared to every single customer sat down, on top of that the food was amazing enjoyed enjoyed every bite of it. Did not get the waitress name but big well done to her !!

Dinner was candlelit and the atmosphere was very cozy. I ordered a carbonara, which took about 10 minutes at most, and it was excellent. I highly recommend it, especially for those near the city center.

The food was really, really good. I'm sure the pizza dough was made by a Persian! Seven of us were there, and I tried everything; everything was top-notch! Unfortunately, the service wasn't very attentive and practically ran away from your tip, but that doesn't spoil the positive impression. I would definitely go back.
