Good restaurant for a lunch. The food was delicious

Ate yesterday, poor reception, food was very poor in taste and the food was very cold, back to the kitchen twice, where it was heated up in the microwave and was not yet nice and hot. We will not be back.

Unfortunately the order never arrived, first the lady said I had ordered too little, then said that the order never arrived. Unfortunately first and last time

Really good food. Usually need reservations but the lady was nice to accommodate us. I really recommend the roasted Duck.

Always friendly and delicious food!

€4 for a beer, don't ask for soy sauce, chili and sambal. Toilet was dirty, I discreetly let them know, but nothing was done about it. Service measured, unless it concerns beer. Walong has deteriorated!

Just lunch, very extensive menu, everything is possible. Delicious small wonton soup, satay ajam and pisang goreng. Beer, espresso afterwards. You sit outside. Recommended..

Atmosphere only 4 stars because renovations were taking place.

Ordered nasi rames. The order was fast. Rendang, babi ketjap and spicy egg are very tasty. The vegetable on the menu is Sajoer Lodeh (vegetables in coconut). I got other vegetables without flavor with tofu. I also did not receive the sambal goreng Tempeh. For nasi I got Chinese nasi (white rice with ham) instead of Indonesian nasi. Was expecting spicy fried rice at Rames.

You may sit outside along the Fred when the weather is nice. The food is okish

I didn't know about the restaurant for a long time, which was because I had had a particular favorite Chinese-Indonesian restaurant in The Hague for many years. When it was surprisingly closed, I accidentally discovered Walong on Frederik Hendriklaan. On our first visit we ordered a combination of Babi Pangang, Tjap Tjoy and Sate as well as fried prawns with vegetables and cashews. There was actually nothing wrong with either dish. They tasted okay, but not great either. The same was true with the service. You can't really complain here either. Everything went correctly. Food and drinks, even those ordered later, were served quickly. The service staff were not unfriendly, but very distant. The price-performance ratio is good. And the ambience is also appealing. Conclusion: We had a nice evening, but the “wow” effect was missing. Nevertheless, I would definitely visit Walong again.

Always top Walong. Food prepared with care. I think it's normal if you ask for a doggy bag.

Great food and a large amount of choice! Cold beer, delicious Peking duck, get in and enjoy a very nice dinner.

FOOD POISONING SUCCEEDED. After eating here I was in the hospital with food poisoning. Severe stabbing pains in the stomach and vomiting. I don't recommend eating here.

This used to be one of the most popular and best restaurants in the city in the 21 years I lived in The Hague till 2021. Just had dinner there with family at 7 (they close at 9 p.m. on Saturdays!). After being totally ignored for 35 minutes I literally pulled a waiter by the sleeve to place an order of drinks and food. We got our dinner but had to beg them to bring the drinks belatedly. Zero reaction to guests’ comments or complaints, like you’re talking to a brick wall. It’s a shame how it deteriorated. Was one of our favourite places but after tonight we’ll never go there again.

Had a delicious meal here with a large group. Service was perfect, food of super quality and something for everyone. Even various allergies were taken into account.

Unfortunately, the home delivery person had brought the wrong food. After a phone call they delivered it very quickly. Really great service and delicious food ;)

Great Chinese restaurant in the fancier neighbourhoods of Den Haag, I was here for a birthday dinner a week ago. Fast, friendly service, beautiful modern style interior with elements from both Northern and Southern China 💜 Highly recommend seafood noodles and the duck 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

Food is no longer okay, too much fat and oil, not what it used to be. Very disappointing. Shame!

I've never been to an Indonesian restaurant. I came because of the dim sum, which was heavily advertised in the reviews. I love dim sum and was not disappointed. For the main course, the menu completely overwhelmed me, I probably should have prepared it a bit. So I decided on something that said combination. Then came a combination of different pieces of poultry. Everything very tasty and with crispy skin. However, the dish was too dry for my taste (not the meat) and I didn't like it without any vegetables. But maybe that's exactly how I ordered it.

Ordered a meal and thuisbezorgd failed but the restaurant fixed it ,thanks Walong and the food is brilliant

De geroosterde eend was taai en smaakloos. Vond al het andere eten niet ook zo lekker. Iedereen aan van mijn gezelschap vind vooral de eend onder de maat.

Heerlijke dim sum lunch met 4 personen gegeten. Best veel wat je krijgt, voor de kleine eter iets te veel. Een potje jasmijnthee inbegrepen in de prijs.

A late dinner at Walong as we fancied Asian food. Dim sum and Hot and Sour soup were good choices! The staff are very helpful and service is fast. There is a lot of choice on the Menu, Chinese recipes for all tastes.

Beetje hip ingericht Chinees Indonesisch restaurant. Heb er Peking eend gegeten, vlees was heerlijk mals maar de huid was niet echt knapperig gebakken wat toch wel hoort bij Peking eend.

Super lekker Aziatisch eten. Fijne bediening. Maar het eten. Echt. Zo lekkerrrrr. Ga het proberen. Wij zijn liefhebber van nummer 143 🙂

Wellicht heb ik net de verkeerde dingen besteld, maar ik heb niet zo smakelijk gegeten bij Walong. Ik had vooraf verschillende gestoomde dimsum gekozen, dus een mandje met 5 soorten dimsum. Een beetje op de gok, je weet niet wat je krijgt. 4 van de 5 hapjes bevatte garnalen en 1 broodje was volgens mij met varkensvlees. Een soort bapao broodje. Ik had iets meer afwisseling willen zien in de soorten hapjes. Ook zaten er stukjes bot in het varkensvleesgerechtje. De hete sauzen erbij waren niet erg lekker. Ik miste zoetzure. saus of soja. Hoofdgerecht was een noodlesoup met beefballetjes en bok choi geloof ik. De groente was erg smaakvol en vers maar de soep zelf vond ik erg saai en niet zo lekker. De noodles smaakte en roken wat verouderd en waren ook vrij hard. De beefballetjes leken wel van smac gemaakt ofzoiets, van dat nepvlees. Het waren er heel wat en ook vond ik ze erg groot van stuk, dus lastig eten. De verhoudingen klopte niet voor mijn gevoel, de smaak van sesamolie overheerste in de bouiilion. Ik moest 34 euro afrekenen en vond dit teveel voor wat ik gegeten heb. De kwaliteit/prijs verhouding klopt niet. Zo’n soep is zn prijs niet waard. Wijn en thee vond ik ook niet erg lekker. De groene thee word heel bitter na 3 kopjes uit het potje. De wijn was goedkoop maar duur. Personeel is beleefd maar erg afstandelijk. Ambiance is gezellig. Het was erg druk tijdens de lunch, dus een goed teken. Maar ik ga helaas niet meer terug.

Wij hadden het vismenu en dat was erg lekker alleen de hele grote garnalen waren wat vlak van smaak. De kleinere waren prima.

Super, super, super! Ik haal hier vaak af en vandaag gingen we ter plaatse eten. Het personeel is zo vriendelijk en aardig. Het eten is super lekker, echt een aanrader als je lekker Chinees of Indonesisch wilt eten!!! De combinatie dim Sum met gestoomde en gefrituurde dim Sum vind ik zelf het allerlekkerst, je krijgt dan van alles wat!

Mentalitätsunterschiede und unterschiedliche Herkunft/Prägung mag vielleicht Begegnungen auch einmal schwierig machen. Ich empfand den Service als unfreundlich… Das Essen etwas fad/wenig würzig, die Portion hingegen großzügig. Es gibt aber in der Straße Alternativen…

Reservering was ondanks opgave naam niet bekend. Bijzonder! Eten was goed. Bediening OK!

Apparently the paper isn't rice paper, so don't eat that when you order something steamed. Also there were I bazillion children, and they were all on amongua and roblocks but once they were gone, it was truly an awesome experience.

This restaurant has been around for decades at least. As a child used to come here to eat Indonesian and Chinese dishes with a Dutch twist, such as Nasi Ramas and Chinese tomato soup (which is a sweet soup in the Netherlands). Last week during a short visit to The Hague went back to Walong after 20 years or so (as am no longer living in Europe), and was delighted to find that they still serve these traditional dishes! With the passing on of an older generation, there are fewer restaurants serving these dishes. Glad that Walong still does them, and of very high quality! The staff are great too, helpful and very friendly. Unreservedly recommended!

Een heerlijke authentiek Indonesisch restaurant. Smullen!

Aardig personeel. Ik had een pangsit besteld.. lekker, maar niet bijzonder (en stiekempjes zeg ik erbij dat ik het beter kan).

Gezellig Chinees restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening. Menu met keuze uit meer dan tweehonderd gerechten. Lekkere mini loempia's gegeten. Daarna een garnalen gerecht en een ossenhaas gerecht met peper, knoflook en uien. Alles keurig geserveerd op een warmhouder. De wijn is ook prima en ook een heerlijk biertje van Hertog Jan. Echt een aanrader. We komen er graag.
