“Crispy” king, super crispy indeed. For a mushy potato we pais 8.50€, sauce 1.50 and fries 7€. Money trap. Go to dutch vafe instead with 8.50 you can get 2 bowl of fries and cozy athmosphere with wc, water and all the other amenities.

Very simple, yet incredibly delicious. You can taste that the fries are made with fresh potatoes. And they're quick to make, which was nice.

The quantity is a bit small for the price, but the sauces are very tasty.

I tried this again, and it was good! The wings were tasty, but the fires weren’t as good as the first time I tried them. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it could be better.

Unfriendly server, price of the cheddar supplement was exaggerated given the quantity. The fries had a sour taste, which was quite strange. Do not recommend.

It’s really not rocket science: frying fries, frying chicken. Somehow, Chipsy King on leidseplein manages to sell raw fries and leathery chicken every single time. But what are you gonna do, it’s 3 A.M. and you’re hungry! Godspeed to all who are forced to get food from this half baked “establishment”.

Good experience, super friendly salespeople, and a warm welcome. The fries are very good and the portion generous (even a little too much, I didn't finish), however the cheddar sauce is really cheap. That was my only negative point about this tasting...

I wanted a small snack and wanted some Dutch fries. I ordered the Dutch cheese chips. It took a few minutes to come out. They were okay. There were fries with a mayonnaise sauce and cheese. The flavors were good but the food was very heavy and I did not finish them. This place is good for a small snack. I would say buy one fry for two people.

Always delicious at Chipsy King! The fries are super crispy and fresh, and you get a big portion. Lots of choice in snacks and sauces - especially that garlic sauce is great. The staff is relaxed and fast, and it's always clean. Sometimes busy, but they work quickly. In short: in the mood for good fries? This is the place to be!

Very tasty, I had the truffle mayo & parmesan ones, really good value for money too.

I love chipsy king. Second night in a row coming here for a late night snack and their chicken is fried hot and fresh and is packing flavor. Their sambal sauce? Truffle fries, curry fries, spicy mayo? Literally everything is perfect. I love you chipsy king. I love you.

Super delicious fries! I can highly recommend the truffle sauce. The fries are rather well salted for me but this is a matter of taste. The furnishings could use a little more love, otherwise great. The salesman was very nice and the work surface was clean. Highly recommended

On a trip to Amsterdam, we happened to see this store and was enticed to try their fries. They offer a variety of sauces and we tried their fries truffle fries. For the small size it was €6- includes tax. It was served fresh and it was good for sharing between 2 people.

The potatoes had been waiting for a long time and most of my potatoes consisted of skin parts, they were not tasty. Also, making a customer smile shouldn't be this difficult. I chose it because it was on the road and my first day in Amsterdam, but I definitely do not recommend it.

There are no other chips with such a rating and we only arrived because of the low rating, I recommend everyone to check if the rating reflects, I would love to hear your opinion

Starving and couldn't be bothered to find somewhere cheaper but omg extortionate prices especially for the sauce. Most of the sweet potato chips were burnt. Waste of money.

My friend, a genuine and forgiving person, ordered “Parmesan”Fries from here. She even was going to post a positive review about these mediocre fries on her Instagram which would have been fabulous for Chipsy King, as she is a niche micro influencer and pop star with a CULT following. She unfortunately found a nasty bug (spider? roach baby? ) at the bottom of her box of fries. It was crispy and dead… when she brought it up with management at this facility, they GASLIT HER, telling her that it came from the out doors while she was eating the fries. That would not make sense.. how would a deep fried spider bug crawl into the bottom of her food? Anyways, this was a very disappointing experience… you can get fries next door at the falafel place for 3€.

Medium fries with a sauce for 7.50 Euro. In Greece you can eat in a 4 star restaurant with ocean view, a delish gyros with a sparkling water watching the sun set. Here you are lucky if you don’t see some drunk vomiting across the street while you eating your deep fried industrial potato sticks

Trying to enjoy my falafel next door and the chipsy king employee smoked his cigarette right near our door and then put it out on the ground .... not cool

Fries are tasty (not excessively greasy or salty) and well dressed with a wide variety of sauces you can choose from. Price is somewhat high for fries though

Charged us way more than the price that was on the menu, and I got the wrong fries too. They weren't very tasty.

I ordered fries with sour cream. After waiting for 10 minutes, I was finally able to pay, as quick billing was not possible due to incompetent staff. When I got the fries, it wasn't even possible to skewer the fries with a fork because the already finished fries were simply thrown back into the deep fryer. The sour cream was just any yogurt and had NOTHING to do with sour cream. Overall totally disgusting and I couldn't even finish them. If 0 stars were an option I would choose that.

Watch out of older lady behind cashier. She’ll claim you didn’t pay even when you did and double charge you. Fries are gross. Avoid this place.

I tried french fries with cheddar cheese, they were very salty The price was high, 9.5 euros for potatoes with cheddar. This is an exaggerated price, and the quality of the potatoes at the bottom of the bag is small and not tender.

Sweet potato is soft and not krispy Chicken wings is as usual but nothing special The curry sauce is so bad that I would rather not say anything about it and forget it forever.

Unfortunately, I have to say that Chipsy king is only cool in name... We should have given it a bad rating and gone elsewhere. If I ignore the fact that French fries with hollandaise sauce are almost 7 euros here, which is quite expensive compared to other French fries, almost the entire portion ended up in the trash. I don't know what they fry it on, but even used engine oil would probably taste better. Unfortunately, the sauce also had an aftertaste. Not an eyebrow was raised at the tinkling of tips in the cash register, and the gentleman looked the whole time as if we were bothering him. Get better...

We got two portions of sweet potatoes and they were raw!! Inedible!! Throw away instantly.

It was a takeaway place so the atmosphere was affected by its surroundings. There were a lot of people shopping on a Thursday. The two men who served us spoke very little English. We ordered two servings of sweet potato chips and chicken combo. Instead we got 1 serve and 2 bottles of water.

I don't know what the bad reviews are all about; my experience was very different. The staff (Saeed) was kind and friendly, and the service was exemplary and quick. The price (13 EUR for a chicken burger with a very generous side of fries and sauce) is pretty standard and decent overall — definitely not a "tourist trap," as some other review mentioned. The food itself was great for what it is. I have no complaints. I'd recommend you give it a try if you're in the mood for what they have!

Best fries I had in Amsterdam. Couldn’t believe this place had negative reviews. Went to another brand which was supposedly the best fries but wasn’t a patch on this place.

Bad and unfriendly service. The fries are okish. Not very cross. Nothing special. Wouldn’t recommend
