Super tasty and great coffee. Very busy!

100% worth the hype. The rib eye bulgogi toast and garlic shrimp egg toast were fantastic. Bread, fillings, and sauce all absolute perfection. The lychee mint iced tea and peach oolong iced tea washed down the out-of-body-experience a treat. Had takeaway and ate sat by the canal, which was a chill way to enjoy it instead of the busy indoor seating.

17/09/2026 I went here alone the queue was a bit to wait specially if you want sit inside. I waited 10min then staff asked if anyone for takeaway can come inside. I did. I got avocado, cheese, egg sandwich it was big to bite. It gave savory flavor sauce sweeter just a bit the rest salter avocado fatty 😋. Also got matcha banana with cream at first was bitter but need to mix well. In general delicious. I spend €22.00

We saw this place go viral on TikTok and, of course, had to come and see if it actually lived up to the hype, and it definitely did! We ordered one sandwich to share, thinking it would be enough, but it was SO good that we immediately regretted not getting two! The orange juice was also really fresh and delicious. The only downside is the long queue outside, which can be a bit annoying, especially as there aren’t many tables inside, so you’ll most likely end up getting takeaway. That said, the food is absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

Second time in Amsterdam and I came across this place on Threads, so I thought I’d give it a try. I arrived at around 2:30 pm and queued for about 20 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. We ordered the Rib Eye Bulgogi Toast, Iced Almond Cream Latte, and Iced Brown Sugar Latte—everything was delicious. I’m already thinking about coming back again.

Poor queuing system which forces customers to stand outside for a long time. Almost a malpractice. Food not worth the wait and too expensive. Warm Cappuccino too cold.

We opted for the avocado and egg one, and it was very nice and delicious. It arrived quite quickly. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the city. We arrived around 10:45 am on Monday and there was no queue at all.

Delicious food, but very expensive, and the toilets weren't very clean; the floor was wet, so you had to be careful not to slip on the steep stairs.

We had to wait in line for a while to get our sandwich. If we had wanted to sit in the restaurant, the wait would probably have been much longer. So we opted for takeaway. The ribeye bulgogi sandwich was a real culinary experience and absolutely delicious, but at €16, it wasn't exactly cheap. We'll still come back and try everything else on offer. 😊

I tried the shrimp egg sandwich and the avocado egg sandwich, and both were delicious. The sandwiches are a bit pricey, but they're worth it. I also liked the flat white ☕️. I arrived early as soon as they opened, and even then there were three people ahead of me. When I finally got out, there was a really long line, so try to come early.

Of course, we had to test out the viral sandwich shop on TikTok. We waited in line outside in the rain, and the employee was super sweet to offer us an umbrella! It is very small inside, and it is a case of grabbing your sandwich and leaving. But it is really worth the hype! The staff are super sweet and the food is really sooooo delicious, with flavors you won't easily find anywhere else. We had the beef sandwich; the meat was super tender and sweet, and the bread was buttery soft and crispy on the outside! Just give it a try!

It was good , but is a bit expensive for a sandwich. We tried the shrimp one and rib eye and the winner was the latter. Be mindful of waiting time, so if you are starving or don’t have the time consider other options

The sandwich looks large, but unfortunately, the filling is mostly concentrated on top, and it becomes much emptier towards the end. However, the sandwiches are delicious and satisfying. The quality is there, but the price is too high for the actual quantity offered. Note that the wait is shorter if you order takeout.

I went to Chun on Sunday and had to wait in line for about 25 to 30 minutes. But honestly, the hype is absolutely deserved! I'm usually rather skeptical of such hyped restaurants, but the ribeye bulgogi sandwich completely blew me away. The fluffy brioche bun, the juicy meat, and the perfectly balanced flavors were simply food porn deluxe. Everything was freshly prepared to order. The strawberry matcha latte was also one of the best I've ever had. Despite the large crowd, the staff were extremely friendly. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for this exceptional quality. The wait is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

We waited in line on the bridge for almost 40 minutes. Orders are placed online. We tried the shrimp and bacon egg. Both were very delicious, served in buttered brioche bread. My favorite was the shrimp. Apart from the wait, there was nothing negative. Friendly service. The person who handled the line at the door was very helpful. I'm so glad we tried it.

We went for breakfast on a weekday around 12. There was very little queue at the bridge; we got to the restaurant in 10-15 minutes. I ordered the avocado and egg dish. It was delicious and very filling. I would definitely order it again if I went back. This is the right place for anyone looking for a breakfast spot.

Where do I start? The menu is limited, but everything was so delicious! We got the bulgogi egg and the helix shrimp, and both were honestly amazing. I would definitely go again if the lines weren't so long. We had to queue over the bridge for around 45 minutes just to dine in since seating is very limited. This lovely place opens at 10:00 AM, and we went there at 9:30 AM, starting first in line. It's a good thing we did, otherwise the line starts from the canal! 😊 It's completely different and delicious. I recommend the Strawberry Matcha. The shrimp and avocado sandwich is one of the most popular orders.

Halal. I think this is the best food I've tried in Amsterdam. The rib-eye Bulgogi is the one. Great flavour on the meat, slightly sweet which I like. Absolutely delicious and well put together in a brioche bun and with egg and sauce on top. Fantastic. Definitely worth trying here. The iced brown sugar latte was also lovely.

Personally I don’t think it was worth the Wait. I wasn’t a fan of the sandwich because of the sweet mayo (although you can get this removed) and it was an extremely long line and quite busy. However, I had one of the best lattes there and it was amazing. I ordered the brown sugar latte and it was perfect. Overall I would recommend to try just their drinks instead . I personally don’t think it was worth the wait.

Great food, get there early. We arrived at 10am. 4th in line. By the time we left around 1030 the queue was on the bridge. It is one in and one out. If takeaway tell security and they will get in line

It is a very unique experience in Amsterdam, I would recommend for anyone going for the first through Amsterdam center to have a brunch. However, it is the kind of food that you eat once and do not want to eat again. The bread is very delicious, but there is not too much meat, most of the filling is with vegetables and egg, it lacks more sauce and meat. The matcha is definitely a must order and would my reason for going there again.

Chun is a small place. My wife and I were there around 12 pm and honestly, we didn't wait in line very long, maybe 10 minutes. I tried the Rib Eye Bulgogi and I really liked it. I definitely recommend trying this toast. The Matcha Strawberry was also good. The only thing I would criticize is the prices. I think they're expensive for the quality of the product...

We visited Chun Cafe to try their famous dishes. When we arrived around 9:40 am, there was a very short line of three people ahead of us. We were able to get in immediately when the restaurant opened at 10:00 am on Saturday. You order and pay first, then go to your table, and the waiters bring your order when it's ready. We had already seen that the food looked good, but we didn't expect it to taste this good. We chose the garlic shrimp egg toast and the avocado cheese egg toast; we especially loved the shrimp one. If you arrive a little earlier than opening time, you won't have to wait in line and you can have a wonderful breakfast. I definitely recommend it.

I didn’t like the way I was treated at this branch. The first time I visited, I was told that takeaway customers could go straight inside without waiting in the queue. On my second visit, I did exactly that and an employee had already started taking my order. Then the man managing the queue came over and literally asked me to leave and wait outside. I explained what I had been told during my previous visit, but he replied very rudely. I had no problem waiting in the queue, but the way he spoke to me and made me leave while the employee was halfway through taking my order was unacceptable.

We didn't have to wait long, thanks in part to the good weather. We were even able to sit down as a group of four. The sandwiches are quite expensive, but you have to treat yourself sometimes. Perfect for a holiday. They tasted exactly as expected, as did the iced coffee. We'll definitely be back.

The queue starts from the opposite bridge; they call you with hand gestures from in front of the place. Prices are a bit high, matcha + toast + around 20 euros on average. The place is small, ordering and paying is done via app. If you go around 10 am, the queue is shorter; after that, you might have to wait much longer.

I found many good reviews about the food and place on social media, that I definitely had to try it. And no regrets about the rib eye sandwich, a perfect brunch food. I add cheese, but I think it is so good without it also.🤩 For drinks, I tried for my 1st time the banana bread iced matcha. But this was not my favorite one. I think it would be a good opportunity to improve it. Maybe more natural flavour would be greater. But in general, good team, good place to have brunch and try new food.🤩❤️‍🔥🌟

This amazing toast we ate while strolling through the streets of Amsterdam was the perfect break of the day! Its warm, fresh presentation and exquisite taste satisfied both our stomachs and our souls. I highly recommend you stop by if you ever find yourself in the area.

Unfortunately, our visit to Chun Café was very disappointing. Some of the food was already cold and the taste was rather mediocre. The eggs were barely seasoned, and overall, the food was completely underwhelming. The value for money is poor! The long wait was particularly disappointing – in my opinion, you shouldn't have to wait that long for a piece of toast. Although there were more than eight employees on site, it seemed as though they were more concerned with themselves than with the customers. Overall, only 1/10 points. We wouldn't be coming back.

The “bouncer” guy accused us of cutting the line after standing outside across the bridge in their stupid queue, not providing us service, being quite rude and violent and “ganged up” on us with his associates, making racist antisemitic remarks (I know Arabic so I could tell), an absolute disgrace, the guy calling me a liar after drying me out in the sun for 45 minutes, like I would cut the line for their overpriced bread slices, *STAY AWAY FROM THIS OVERHYPED, supposedly viral trash of a restaurant, go spend your time and money somewhere else, if you like being called names by the staff and being treated violently you should definitely go, for me it just didn’t feel safe.

Appealing menu and it was easy to see the options. However, it is misleading that as a curious potential customer you are sent 100 meters away to stand in line. We ended up finding another place, we could do without the lunch that required escort by a crew.

The worst place we ate in Amsterdam. They told us we had to queue on the bridge (where we'd already come from), and when I asked why, they wouldn't give me an explanation. When I explained that I didn't understand the system and wanted to know why I had to wait on the bridge, they told me we couldn't queue on the sidewalk because it would obstruct other tourists. But not on the bridge??? Absurd. We waited 25 minutes, and when we finally got there, they made us wait on the sidewalk, where at first they told us we couldn't wait because we were really bothering them... Then we went to the bathroom, and it was disgusting, the floor was soaked and filthy. We ordered a drink that we usually love, and it was truly awful. We asked if they could replace it with something else, and they said, "We don't do that." They certainly don't treat customers the way they should. The sandwiches were honestly nothing special, and the price was completely disproportionate to the quality. I regret eating here. €35 for two sandwiches that weren't filling and a drink that was left untouched. A complete waste of time and money.

I don't understand the hype about this place. There's no service—you have to order via QR code. The chun bun with avocado and egg is tasteless, lacking any spices. The mayonnaise is sweet, and so is the bun. I feel like everything is made with the cheapest ingredients.

Nicely prepared sandwiches with a more than average wait time. There is definitely some type of social media influencer hype going around this place so queues are longer than normal. There were three security people at the door for a cafe with an indoor with around 6-7 people capacity, so that was weird. This branch is quite small so it's better to take your sandwiches away and eat somewhere by the canal (be careful about seagulls). Indoor of this branch is quite un-attractive any way. RIB-EYE BULGOGI is a good choice but may be a little heavy for a breakfast, beat is soft and sweet with its sauce. AVOCADO EGG CHEESE is not so special with just being a sandwich with egg and cheese mostly. The crunchy sandwich bread, which also tastes great on its own, is arguably the most unique part of the experience as it makes it very easy to eat without any mess. In general, the toppings they add to the sandwiches (egg on the rib-eye one and avocado on the egg and cheese one) are just at the top of the sandwich and you eat them in the beginning. Rest of the sandwich is very routinely boring with a single ingredient. Staff taking our orders wasn't also very informed about the menu items either, when we asked a recommendation, the answer wasn't satisfying or informing at all.

In two minds about this place… I liked it but I wasn’t amazed. I had the garlic shrimp sandwich - the shrimp was quite heavily seasoned and I didn’t feel it matched with the egg. The same thing goes for the beef sandwich. Overall, the bread is definitely the stand out here. The matcha’s are also really good. I’d say if you’re visiting Amsterdam, give this place a go.

The Ribeye sandwich is a must try, as it's the star of the show. The shrimp one is pretty good as well. Only 6-8 tables inside, and always a line that ends on the canal. Might take an hour but worth it. Takeaway orders a bit faster.

I tried the avocado eggs, they were delicious and worth trying. The cold brew coffee was a brown sugar latte. The matcha with strawberries was also great. The service was excellent, especially the young Asian man, who was very kind and welcoming. I visited early in the morning, and there was plenty of space. There was a line to enter when I was leaving. It's the best time to visit early in the morning. The place is small, but it's worth trying.

I went to Chun Cafe since it’s close to my hotel. There usually is a long waiting list, but this was very early so we didn’t wait at all. The coffee was good, but not the best. The sandwiches were also good, but needed some salt and pepper. Would I go again? Probably because of it’s location mostly, but for me, there were better places for breakfast, and with no waiting.

waited 45 minutes for a mid matcha and dry sandwich. finally get to the front to order they never asked if i wanted for here or to go. i sit down and literally half way through my sandwich the worker tells me i need to leave because i have a take out order. nobody even asked me if i wanted for here or to go and i told her that nobody asked me and she said yeah we did ask you.. horrible guest service for people who wait so long.
