Ipo's Coffee Gallery. in Oostelijk Havengebied

DO NOT EAT HERE! My experience on the 4th of June by 12:30 pm turned out so bad that I had to call to police! Not only are their tables so dirty and unhealthy as I had to wipe the table myself before eating my order, the food was also very tasteless. I normally wouldn't write a review about that but the unacceptable part is the fact that these people also refused to give a receipt of my order. Normally the payment machine prints out receipt after payment but their payment machine is set up on purposed not to print out receipts. To confirm that, they bluntly told me they don't offer receipts and then they got violent and threatened to throw me out because I insisted of receiving my receipt of payment. I travel for a corporate company and it is normal that all my travel expense must be proved with receipts to avoid getting into corporate accounting problems but these rude people at Ipo's Coffee Gallery Place bluntly maintained that they don't offer receipt and got more violent, the more I insisted. IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO OFFER RECEIPTS OF SALES TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED BUSINESS if they need it so why should they refuse? It's needed for my official accounting. Well, It escalated into one of them screaming at me until I had to call the police so I could avoid being physically involved with them. I dropped the case because I had to catch my flight. Long story short, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE TO ANYONE!. I could ignored the fact that the place is dirty and the food isn't worth the price and for the fact that they act like rude gangsters makes it had to ignore.

¡NO COMAS AQUÍ! Mi experiencia el 4 de junio por 12 : 30 pm resultó tan malo que tuve que llamar a la policía! No solo sus mesas están tan sucias e insalubres que tuve que limpiar la mesa yo mismo antes de comer mi pedido, la comida también era muy insípida. Normalmente no escribiría una crítica sobre eso, pero la parte inaceptable es el hecho de que estas personas también se negaron a dar un recibo de mi pedido. Normalmente, la máquina de pago imprime recibos después del pago, pero su máquina de pago está configurada para no imprimir recibos. Para confirmarlo, me dijeron sin rodeos que no ofrecen recibos y luego se pusieron violentos y amenazaron con echarme porque insistía en recibir mi recibo de pago. Viajo para una empresa corporativa y es normal que todos mis gastos de viaje se demuestren con recibos para evitar meterme en problemas de contabilidad corporativa, pero estas personas groseras de Ipo's Coffee Gallery Place sostuvieron sin rodeos que no ofrecen recibo y se pusieron más violentas, cuanto más insistía. Entiendo si estas personas en Ipos Coffee Gallery están tratando de ayudarse a sí mismos evitando impuestos pero COMO REQUISITO LEGAL OFRECER RECIBOS DE VENTAS A TUS CLIENTES SI ERES UN NEGOCIO REGISTRADO ¿no deberían darle a cualquiera que lo necesite? Bueno, se convirtió en uno de ellos gritándome hasta que llamé a la policía para evitar involucrarme físicamente porque sé que lastimaría a cualquiera que se atreviera a ponerme las manos encima. La policía reconoció la situación y me dijo que les tomaría algún tiempo llegar allí, por lo tanto no es una situación violenta urgente. Después de un poco de espera, me fui porque tenía que tomar mi vuelo y no podía esperar a que llegara la policía. En resumen, NO RECOMENDARÍA COMER AQUÍ A NADIE! . Está sucia, la comida no vale el precio y por el hecho de que actúan como gángsters groseros hace que sea aún peor ignorar los bajos estándares de comida de este lugar.

There is a new owner, looks like a Somali or something, but you better stay away from here, this guy charges €4 for a cappuccino and €3 for a croissant, completely crazy

Repas délicieux : les pains et salade sont généreux et gourmand. Le personnel est chaleureux et accueillant. Le cadre est très joli. Une vrai bonne expérience dans ce restaurant.

Very good bagel sandwiches. Nice selection. We had just arrived in Amsterdam and were waiting for our room to be ready and wanted to tour the Jewish section. We sat outside where it was comfortable and pleasant.

Ipo's presence and energetic work and the input of the friendly staff members contributed to a successful dinner with live music, outside his premises on the pavement in the warm sun. Garden table and benches and parasols gave it a feeling of a work picknick. in a good happy ambiance. And the food and drinks were delicious.

Me and my colleagues use to loveee going to IPO. The salad is really delicious and nice portion. We went back today and not only the price went up but the size went down. Also if you add any toppings be prepared to pay 2.75 euros extra for mozzarella and 3.75 for chicken. The price was much better before. Our group of 10 might not be going back :( if it wasnt for the price and size It would be 5 stars for sure!!!

Stopped in for a coffee, stayed for a couple beers. Perfect location for people watching and to enjoy the sun. Great service, good prices.

That's a wonderful place to have a sandwich! Everything is perfect in their sandwiches. If you are not from the Netherlands, make sure to try one here (alert! You will never be satisfied with you locan paninis/sandwiches/other types of bread with filling)

Lekkere broodjes en salades! Soms wel erg druk, dus daardoor wat lang wachten. Bij mooi weer lekker in het zonnetje zitten aan een van de picknick tafels voor de deur.

Wicked in the sun. Food looked good as just tried the coffee. Cheap for Amsterdam prices. Need to queue for order which can be annoying having to wait while they make it with others behind you. Quick bite place.
