A nice place to forage and relax. Friendly staff. The zucchini and walnut cake is indescribably delicious. Sometimes it feels more like a workspace than a coffee shop.

Fantastic place to get some work done

When I recently ordered a cappuccino, I received a latte, and the milk was boiling. The employee noticed and gave me another disposable cup. She knew the problem was overheated milk, which would cause the foam to disappear. This is the last time I'll order a cappuccino here. Paying €5.10 for a bad cappuccino... makes no sense.

One of the best places in Amsterdam. Excellent selection of drinks and pastries; next-level decor; plenty of outlets and ideal lighting for settling in with your laptop to work.

I changed my review because the last two times I was here, the wifi was horrendous.

Enjoyed my cup of hot chocolate and studied here with a laptop in a comfy seat! Sweet personal and when I asked for offered me a USB-C charger! You’ll definitely see me coming here often! Although, not gonna lie, ac was hot af here, but that might be me. I’d still prefer a lil bit of a cooly environment, nice experience though!

The coffee was really good — smooth, rich, and full of flavor. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but the quality and cozy vibe make it worth it. A nice spot to relax or get some work done. The place can get very crowded sometimes, but the exterior sitting is great.

Very nice and large cafe always a great place for meet ups and or for work and study. Unfortunately if you are vegan and want to wat something, banana bread is your only option. Still a delicious one. But there could be some more variations I think or at least the possibility to make something vegan.

Very good coffee + an amazing spot for people-watching or just reading a book, especially when it's sunny outside :)

I usually go there to work. Coffee is good and very practical place for someone to work.

Coffee was okay but place was abit crowded and noisy.

Food could be a bit more varied, as far as vegetarian options are concerned. What would be even better is halal or kosher options, but I don't count on that. So hopefully more meat-free options?

A lovely, and busy, place offering a wide variety of coffees, muffins, loaf cakes, sandwiches. The place is filled with the pleasant conversations of lots of people, and the silence of others enjoying free wifi.

Totally run down place.. and just another cookie cutter coffe place. Similar to Starbucks in the USA. Too loud to enjoy coffee and relax. Next streets in the neighborhood are full of unique and charming coffee places.

Good place to have coffee and work with your laptop. However, the only negative thing is that their ice machine doesn’t seem to work properly. Instead of ice cubes, it produces crushed ice, which doesn’t go well with iced lattes, iced Americanos, etc.

It's a nice place. But the prices are absurdly high. 3.90 for a lukewarm cup of tea. 3 euros for a thin slice of cake And don't order mint tea because you get 3 leaves on a stem. You get that tea from one of those "hot" water taps that are probably set to lukewarm due to budget cuts. (greediness) The staff does not work long because of the owner. with son.

Very nice and large place with seats both inside and outside. Wide choice of cakes, pastries and drinks.

4.60 for a medium Americano that you can get yourself. Prices of the pastries are not indicated and will therefore probably be completely unaffordable. Then you are among all the people staring at their screens. That doesn't make it worth anything to me, but it might to someone else.

Flat white and matcha latte. The milk of both is made too hot, which affects the taste. Coffee cannot be tasted well in the flat white.

Amazing place for studying, relaxing, or even just having a takeaway. The coffee is very good, the staff are extremely nice and the ambiance is amazing.

What I liked most was the place, although it was full of people, it was beautiful and comfortable and my brother, my friend and I had a great time. The place is very suitable for students and people who have simple work to finish, and also for people who want to talk about private topics. You can also bring children. Just their prices are a little high.

The baristas are so professional and make your drink perfectly to your taste! And the service is great, I feel completely welcome and it is super cozy!

I enjoy thinking about a solo cycling trip through Amsterdam! How wonderful to meander through the city and settle in unknown beautiful locations! And that's how I ended up in this place. The night before I slept in the neighboring youth hostel. I felt like I was 18 again (or whatever number you give it)! During coffee I started talking to a friendly lady with a laptop who told me her story. A deep bow to her path and at the same time to mine. 'Dear lady, if you are still here for a cup of coffee, I send you a warm greeting! And if I am in the area again, I will sit in exactly the same place. We will then recognize each other. For sure!'.

Sadly, there is never room. There is an oba next to this café and people decide to do their work here, so I can never drink a coffee and something tasty with my family.

Laptops and high prices, probably could be half the size establishment and 25% cheaper if it wasn’t for the sea of laptops that they need to facilitate which make it feel like you are at work on a free day. Personnel is nice and good coffee and the meringue citrus cake is great!

This is a zombie cafe. I was there on Monday afternoon and there were only people with laptops. 0.0 atmosphere. You look like a crematorium, with all due respect. I felt very uncomfortable as a local resident in East.

The coffee is delicious. Staff also very friendly. But you don't have to be there for the atmosphere. It has become one large office garden where everyone works and/or meets behind a laptop.

Terrace is great, but the staff is often slow, even though there are a lot of them. It's a shame that there are fewer baristas here than at other CC branches

Perfect place to work outside home

4.65 cappuccino...no cookie, no spoon (stick), no saucer, and the six of us outside at the table...no service...3 guesses...Zero stars

We loved this place for a spot to enjoy an afternoon drink after a day of touring Amsterdam. There were plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax. It's also a great spot to do remote work! It's in a cool neighborhood right off of the 14 line. Nice staff too!

Lekkere koffie en gebakjes. Af en toe lijkt het wel een mediatheek. Maar wat echt anders moet zijn de toiletten. Het ruikt zo erg naar plas, je durft het toilet niet eens in te gaan :(

Na tijden weer een heerlijke kop koffie hier gedronken. De baristas die er vandaag stonden 28-4 zijn erg kundig. Na het vertrek van Vincent meerdere keren de koffie hier gewoon weg moeten gooien omdat het nergens naar smaakte. Please investeer in goede baristas want jullie hebben een heerlijk terras.

Always my go to place to remote work. All coffee company chain have a relatively easy policy on working here with your laptop. So lots of people are doing it and no one is going to give you the side look or an attitude. Out of all the coffee company in Amsterdam, this one in my opinion has the best atmosphere and environment. People are all casual and either focus on work or enjoy coffee with friends. So it can be busy, sometimes unable to find a spot for your laptop, sometimes a bit too much noise. But I always wait a bit with a coffee, there will soon be space freed up. Food and coffee, I actually just went for the working environment, so they are so so. The service are nice.

Zoals de rest zegt, enorm hoge prijzen. Bijna €5 voor een “medium” iced americano die bij een andere koffietent “small” zou zijn en voor de helft gevuld is met crushed ice. Personeel mag iets minder arrogant.

As if the gods of coffee came down from coffee heaven and put a bit of coffee heaven in the middle of javaplein. They should rename the square to coffee company plein in my opinion. But considering Java is also a type of coffee it sort of already honors the establishment.

Leuke plek om te zitten. Koffie is altijd lekker en de medewerkers zijn aardig.

Super um einen schnellen Kaffee zu holen und auch für einen kleinen Frühstücksstop. Der Kaffee war nur leider nicht ganz so gut wie erwartet. Nicht schlecht aber auch nicht wirklich gut. Personal war super nett und geduldig 👍
