Really lovely experience at this quiet, familyrun spot. The owner (I think?) was incredibly warm and nice! you can tell they care about their guests. The green curry was the best I’ve gotten in Amsterdam, super creamy and great presentation (the rice 🤤). Flavours easily matches Bird, but with a more intimate, personal atmosphere.

The decoration is make you feel like you are in Thailand. The owner is very nice and friendly.

The food here is always great! You have to be patient, but the result is a very fresh meal.

Cozy restaurant, very friendly staff but the food is very average... red curry was very light of colour, and tasted also very blend. Maybe next time I try something else.

The two of us had a wonderful meal here. The food is carefully prepared and served. The food and the ambiance are refined and very tasty. We will definitely be back with our children!

you would expect hospitality and service in a restaurant, the old ass waiter can learn a thing or thousand and treat people like humans.

Delicious food and good atmosphere!

Just as i entered the restaurant my 11 year old daughter started speaking louder , nothing out of the ordinary but the silence inside the restaurant was has if you could ear a feather drop, the man serving look at her as she was an animal and said to us that if she screamed ( was not the case) we could not be there, we explained she was a child with special needs and without letting us explain further interrupted us and said she could not be there speaking loud. Immediatly we felt disgust by his approach and just did not want to be there and left.

Unfortunately, we tried to have dinner at this restaurant this evening for the first time , and as entering, we found a table for four, asking the waiter, which by the way, had a very bad appearance of a very old man not fit for the job . And he looked at us,rolling his eyes with incredible prejudice, looked at my 11-year-old special-needs daughter , saying that she could not be there because they wouldn’t allow any noise or any screaming (that she wasn’t doing ) we replied she was a special-needs child and we didn’t want any trouble, but of course by him saying that we immediately stepped out saying that , that was a “very good example” of not having any inclusion of a citizen with disability. Terrible to see that in Holland (the Netherlands) there are still people so so dreadful !! Actually we didn’t lose anything they did .

This restaurant is just a hidden gem! At a first glance it can look a bit overdecorated from outside but, as soon as you sit down, you very quickly start a really exciting experience. The waiter is super fun and caring, he speaks Thai and takes the order in Thai! Remember to ask him what’s his connection with Thailand. The food is more than delicious, portions of mains are pretty good (starters are a bit tiny, but to be fair, it is much better that way because otherwise you’d end up beating too full), and price is very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back when in Amsterdam. Only real flowers, no one plastic flowers, which I take very seriously as it says a lot of a place. Plates are super cute and the whole experience is very ceremonial. My colleagues and I loved it.

The beef smelled like blood foam and was not delicious. Invoices are handwritten only.

What a nice place. I would come back here just for the super friendly owner, a truly great welcome. Cosy, small establishment. Good food too, although it could perhaps be a little more. Recommended.

The dish was tasty but an absolute shame for the small portion with a bit of chicken you get!

Exactly what I look for when going for dinner. Everything cooked fresh, with the perfect size of menu (enough options but not bamboozling). Personally I’d rather wait a wee while and soak up the atmosphere, enjoy some conversation and then be presented with something lovely and fresh than be microwaved something sub par and be in and out in 30 minutes- so I was happy to wait a little while and work up an appetite :) I got a great vegan option. The decor is completely unique and I was absolutely won over by that alone. Everything we had tasted great and everywhere you looked there was another cute detail. Will definitely be back when in Amsterdam again.

Very friendly people, very professional, good selection, cozy atmosphere. Food was not memorable, but was very good. No complaints, but no high praise either. Not the best in town, but a nice cozy solution if you are in the neighborhood, eg for a meeting at RAI.

Chutima’s is one of the very few disappointing Thai meals I’ve had in Amsterdam. Small portions and lacking in favour. Maybe I was unlucky, but if this is the norm, then avoid going here if you’re experienced with Thai food. Considering the place appears to be run and staffed by people from Thailand, I was really surprised and disappointed. I ordered take away. The Thai red curry had literally one table spoon of sauce, which is insane. It also wasn’t red and lacked flavour. Without exaggerating, the dish was 80% bamboo shoots. The cashew chicken was okay. The spring rolls tasted like they were pre-made, frozen and tiny. Very disappointing.

Beautiful place. Although the service was a bit on the slow side (think the owner / waiter was reaching a respectable age already)I can't recommend this place enough. The food here was absolutely delicious. Had a nice beef Massaman curry with sweet potato which literally melted in my mouth. They also served some nice durian ice cream, very authentic!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, thanks to the excellent hospitality and delicious food. The ambiance is truly unique, with a decor full of authentic Thai objects that the owners have collected over the last 25 years. This gives the restaurant a special atmosphere and makes every meal there not only a culinary, but also a visual experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching experience. Absolutely worth it!

The best Thai restaurant in the area with outstanding service! Enjoyed the time!

Unfortunately, it's an absolute failure for take-away food. I ordered a soup to take away and paid €7 for it. What did I get? A mouthful of not really defined soup. For the price, it's absolutely a disgrace to pay so much for so little. It was packaged so well that I didn't have a chance to see it in person unless I unpacked it completely.

Authentic thai cooks! Owner is very friendly and speaks English, Dutch, Thai & French. We enjoyed dinner here. He accepts credit card payments. Can recommend: the yellow curry, the spring rolls, the tum Kha soup 🥣 was our favorite ❤️ love the interior design and atmosphere - very cozy!

Food in terms of taste very tasty, but the service of the old boss slow. It took 45 minutes for the starter and another almost 45 minutes for the main course. I see people picking up food and I think this is certainly at the expense of the kitchen and service in the restaurant. I don't think this is correct at all, sorry.

Our favorite Thai restaurant, not just because we live nearby. Nice friendly host, his wife and their son in the kitchen. Delicious balanced dishes with refined authentic flavors and moderate use of coconut milk. Very tasteful. Good price/quality ratio. They are in Thailand from November, 1,2 or more months…

Hardly a block from the RAI convention center, this charming little Thai place offers European sized portions of tasty Thai classics like yellow, green and massaman curry. Prices matched the neighborhood but we found the service here to be much quicker than bigger places nearby. Ask if you want things to be spicier than mild.n

Alleen de loempiaatjes waren lekker . De soep a 7euro saai . Het hoofdgerecht a 23.50 met kip kokos wat cashewnoten en wat overgare wortel wat als specialiteit op de kaart stond net zo saai als de soep en veel te duur. Kan er niet pinnen!! Alleen met QR code of a contant.Onbegrijpelijk!! Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ik vond het eten en de prijs wat je ervoor moest betalen slecht. Een schoteltje beef met champignons. Het vlees was taai en weinig smaak. Een enkele champignon en groente erbij zou lekker zijn geweest. En dat voor €18,50. De bediening was goed en vriendelijk!

Fantastisch. Het gezin zorgt ervoor dat alles tot in de nopjes geregeld is. Van keuken tot bediening. Porties zijn goed en de prijs- kwaliteit is top. Alles wordt vers bereid waardoor je soms wat langer wacht op je gerecht met grotere groepen. Dat vind ik niet erg😊

War absolut eine knallharte 10/10. Muss man aufjedenfall vorbeischauen, kann ich jedem empfehlen. Eines der besten Thai Foods, welche ich jemals gegessen habe!!!

We recently dined here, mainly because it was conveniently located nearby. The interior of the restaurant was quite small and quaint, which added to the overall dining experience. The flavors in the dishes were delicious, and I appreciated that they brought an extra bowl of chili peppers so I could adjust the spiciness to my liking. However, there were a few downsides to the dining experience. Since the chili peppers were not cooked in the sauce, the flavor of the dishes changed significantly if I used a lot of them. Additionally, the service was extremely slow, as there was only one waiter working. During our time at the restaurant, we saw one table walk out and heard another complaining about the wait. Although the food was good, it was also quite expensive compared to what I'm used to paying for Thai cuisine. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and in the mood for Thai food, but be prepared for a slow and potentially expensive meal.

Betere Thai kan je niet hebben. Fijne gezellige lieve mensen. Koken met verse producten. In het restaurantje voel je je op je gemak. Ab te bevelen .

10/10 Best atmosphere, best service and excellent food. The owner hosting the dining room made the difference with his sense of humor, politeness and recommendations. I never been in a restaurant that all the guests were that satisfied and happy.

The food was really nice, good balanced taste. The overall vibe is cozy. The server is a very nice and polite old man. Some of the food portions are very small, for example their signature Massaman Neua. It's in a small clay pot with a hefty price. Some of their dishes do come with relative more in quantity in relation to their price. The Phad Thai and the fried rice for example. Overall a nice cozy Thai restaurant with good food, but pricy for the amount you get.

When I saw the menu I was a little disappointed as there were no pork dishes. But damn absolutely everything we ordered was amazing. I will be going back and definitely recommending it to friends and family. The service was also good and friendly.

Dining at Chutima's is an experience out of this world. The cutlery, service, deco and the food are all top-notch with much attention to detail. Truly an immersive dining experience that both me and my friend enjoyed to the maximum! Will be coming back very soon.

Always wanted to try this restaurant, because of its location and the interior decoration is very beautiful and full of Thai characters too. So tried the takeaway today, its Tom Kha Koeng just tasted salty and not very Thai favourable, could not taste lemongrass and other ingredients. Phad Thai kip was also not tasty, can only taste very sweet and a little peanut butter. In general, the food ingredients did not taste fresh. Their price is not expensive, just its quality and its portion are not reflecting its price.

Dit is echt een aanrader! De lekkerste Thai van Amsterdam, echte Thaise kokkin en echtgenoot bedient op een heel warme lieve manier. En het eten is ..betaalbaar en super heerlijk! Eens geprobeerd is voor herhaling vatbaar

Fantastische Thai! Door de sfeer binnnen waan je je echt in Thailand, vooral voor diegenen die er op vakantie zijn geweest echt een aanrader. Personeel is allemaal Thais, de eigenaar is Nederlands maar schrijft de bestellingen ook gewoon in het Thais op. Gunfactor!

Thai place close to the Rai. Went here for lunch, wanted to break out of the routine sandwich places, the food was decent, takes time to get a table and order then the food to arrive. Ordered a stream rice and chicken gravy, I've liked the food. Turned out to be a little heavy for lunch.

This place honestly deserves one star, but the food is 7/10 so I'll give it an extra star. The fish portion is small and not worth 20 euros. IT'S A TOURIST TRAP FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH BECAUSE THE ENGLISH MENU AND DUTCH MENU PRICES ARE DIFFERENT. Buddha would be disappointed with these people. I do not recommend this place.

Great place with delicious food. I had beef with cashews and I had eaten my tongue!!! Cot fish was also adorable with coconut sause!!! Recomend))) And service was great! Will be back soon!

Ate here a few days ago. Let’s say the service is ‘laid back’ and takes some time, however I think I’ve just had the best Thai meal outside of Thailand! It really was tasty. Great decor, homely, funny owner, clean and perfect if you’ve got the time.
