Da Verdi in Centrum

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. The food was nothing special and tasted like I'd just opened a can from the supermarket. It was also overpriced. We were served by four different people. We had spaghetti and asked for Parmesan cheese. To me, it's normal to be served Parmesan. We waited in vain, and the waiter ignored us. When we finished eating, we asked for the bill. Again, we waited in vain. Another waiter then asked if we wanted anything else, and we told him we'd already been waiting for the bill for 10 minutes. After waiting another 5 minutes, we got up and paid directly at the bar. The restaurant wasn't even full, so the waiters were incredibly busy. Poor service and, unfortunately, not good food. What a shame.

Oh my goodness. Bad service, no cutlery, a crowded place, and exorbitantly expensive for what you get. No, this was our last time.

The best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at. For over a year, we've occasionally driven 100 km to this restaurant for this delicious food. From the moment you walk in, you feel special. Literally everything is Italian. The atmosphere and service are wonderful. Tortellini ala panna is heaven on my tongue (I always have to order portions to go 😅). Pizza Roma is also a real treat for the palate.

Here, I thoroughly appreciated a quattro formaggio before I trudged off to the Effenaar with my father. Satisfied, I finished the dinner with coffee and grappa—it makes your chest bristle. Penne Aribiata was incredibly spicy. It seemed like it had been prepared the day before. I'd never experienced such a spicy dish before. The food was served within 10 minutes. We had just finished our appetizer.

Visited during a business trip. Initially cordial service turned sour at billing—charged for complimentary items and attempted to add a credit card fee, which was only removed after objection. The owner's behavior was confrontational and unprofessional. Not recommended.

We arrived a little earlier than our reservation time. No problem, and because we had to wait, we were immediately offered a drink on the house. It was busy, very busy, but the staff didn't seem stressed. Starter: eggplant stuffed with minced meat, which was more than excellent! The house wine, white Pinot Grigio, was the same. The menu is extensive, but doesn't make you overwhelm yourself with choice, so just right: not too much choice, but certainly not too little either. Something for everyone. Despite the temptations of the pasta and various meat and fish dishes, we opted for the pizza. I used to go to Italo in Veldhoven regularly, and they had the perfect calzone. I thought... The one at Da Verdi is more than perfect, the best calzone I've ever had! The Sambuca Café, recommended by the hostess, was also a surprise. A delicious sambuca, the coffee flavor taking the edge off just a little. The staff is incredibly welcoming, polite as they should be, but not too stuffy. Kudos, they're all doing a great job! The only downside is the space, which looks a bit bare due to the large side windows. But that's always been the case, and it won't change. If you can accept that, Da Verdi is the place to be if you want a fantastic evening in every way. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

Friendly service and delicious dishes.

As a Google Maps user, I can unequivocally say that the restaurant's food is truly delicious. Of course, tastes may vary, but overall, it's a great choice for gourmets. Prices are generally between 10 and 20 euros, and despite being a luxury restaurant, they're quite reasonable. It can get a bit busy during dinner hours, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. And if you don't want to worry about parking nearby, it's right across from Eindhoven train station, making it a good transportation option. The multilingual staff is a plus, and the owners are meticulous about this. Finally, thank you for letting us film a little video in the kitchen. I'll add a short, amateurish video. During my stay in Eindhoven, I ate there twice, once during the day and once at night. It was delicious and the waiters were nice. Chat gpd recommended it. You can give it a try.

“Non e’ Male’ will best sum up my experience at Da Verdi. First the atmosphere is very welcoming and warm, the wait staff is super friendly. There is just something about being greeted in Italian, just feels special and welcoming. The secret is out - their appetizers and desserts are expensive…. The food is decent, or may be the pasta I had was decent, nothing spectacular. However the bread they offered as a part of the appetizer was amazing. The cappuccino was very good and the biscotti which came along with it was perfect.

I expected something better. Unfortunately, the chicken in pasta was terribly dry. We sat outside, the tables are very close and if someone smokes next to you, it is inconvenient. Lasagne ok. On a Saturday afternoon, there was no wait for a table.

We gingen op de bonnefooi. Hadden honger en liepen toevallig langs. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen een fijne plek in het restaurant. Er hangt een echt Italiaanse sfeer en er lijken louter Italianen te werken. Het eten was werkelijk voortreffelijk, wat een smaaksensaties. Je proefde echte kwaliteit! Het is dat we niet uit de buurt komen, anders waren we absoluut nog eens teruggekomen!

Nice Italian restaurant, nice atmosphere where you can sit both inside and outside. Outside it is very pleasant because of the heaters and well heated. The food is really delicious and fresh, you feel like you are in Sicily with every bite. Pasta tricolore with seafood is delicious and highly recommended and the tagliatelle tartufo is prepared with real truffles, not just truffle oil. The pastas are good sized portions. After dinner we received a delicious limoncello on the house. Very satisfied! Will definitely come back to try other tasty dishes!

I have now eaten here 3 times and I will definitely come back again! The atmosphere, the hospitality, the passion of the service and the chefs, the love and attention they offer our children. My children, aged 2 and 4, love to sit here at the table waiting for the next course!

Very noisy restaurant. Quite expensive dish. Quite honestly, the dishes are not bad, but if you like Italian cuisine, avoid this brand. I had pasta carbonara, anyone can make it better at home. The meat inside my dish is yet to be determined.

Professional, attentive, kind and warm as only Sardinians can be. We ate pasta with tomato and burrata (cooked VERY al dente just for us). Wonderful tiramisu. Highly recommended!!

One star because I cannot rate less, one more because house wine was very good. I have ordered pizza Bufala which was just bad. Taste like frozen pizza and it’s was not worth 18€… Italian people working/ owning the restaurant are totally without Italian taste anymore. Sorry guys but really you probably forgot how your country cuisine taste like. Ravioli was okay, lasagne as well.

Food tasted fine; We have been coming here for years and had made a reservation. Some of the staff were friendly. However, while we were having dinner and a nice chat over a drink, someone came up to us and asked if we wanted to finish for another reservation. We found this very rude and not respectful at all, as no time slot for the reservation was communicated in advance, neither when making the reservation nor at the start of the dinner. If this had been clearly communicated we would have understood, but this way we felt it was really disrespectful. What started as a pleasant evening unfortunately ended disappointingly. Even though the food tasted great, we won't be back here again. After all, service is an important part of the experience.

Great 4 cheese pizza. One of the best I've ever eaten. Recommended. Friendly service. Good Caprese salad. Only the tomatoes in the salad could have been better. Ottima pizza ai 4 formaggi. Uno dei migliori che abbia mai mangiato. Raccomandato. Servizio cordiale. Buona l'insalata caprese. Solo i pomodori nell'insalata avrebbero potuto essere migliori.

After some plans in town, we went to lunch. Ordered an assortment of appetizers, pasta, and pizza. The appetizers came out in piles on a wooden board, so it was fun to choose and eat them. The pasta was overcooked and the texture was not very good. The pizza was hard and not what I expected. Unfortunately, I feel like the sauce, ingredients, and dough don't harmonize well. Even though there were only two of us, they kindly guided us to a spacious seat. Thank you for your friendly and kind customer service! ! !

This was the most flavorless margarita of my life. I had to go eat someplace else to make sure I still had a sense of taste. The only thing close to a sensation was the abundance of grease in the cheese. I hope this was a fluke, because if it is representative of the quality of this restaurant then you are better off buying pizza at a supermarket. Worst case scenario, it cannot taste worse, and you saved yourself most of your money.

Seen from the outside you think, is this it? That's how it was for us three years ago. Once inside, you are warmly welcomed as if you were family. Eating and wine is an art. We have eaten there for the fifth time now, an obligation every time we are in Eindhoven from Rotterdam.

The rumors were already there but it is true. A lot has really changed at Da Verdi since Cobie's departure. Quality and service are not up to standard. Service is more concerned with passing young ladies than with their guests, wrong dishes served, very unfortunate

I've been coming here for 20 years now. But we didn't eat together last Christmas AND just before Christmas & again today. There were only two of us last time at Christmas and now again. Last time no reason had even been mentioned, but now an accident had happened with my food. It can happen, but a good hostess will at least offer a drink or something on the house. Didn't happen either time. I find this bad, especially as a regular customer. You come to eat together and not to start eating until the person next to you has already finished and has to sit and watch you eat. I wonder how this is still possible. Never happened in all these years and now 3 times in a row. Even three times they didn't come and ask if we wanted something checked. After the plates of the main course have been removed, you don't see anyone anymore. You really have to pull them in if they want to come. I always like to have the Italian cake, but since the service regarding the food was so bad, we asked for the bill after waiting half an hour. I'm afraid the next time I come it will happen again... Shame.

My food did not match the description on the menu, I brought this up with the waiter and they magically forgot how to speak English. Luckily I could understand what they were saying, they were trying to justify the discrepancy but it was nonsense. It was also extremely expensive for the portion size and I had to eat more food when I got home as I was still hungry.

Good Italian food but not very special. Pizzas tasted reasonable, bread basket was a bit disappointing. Few dips. Food is also quite expensive. The only real plus was that the beer was on the table quickly every time.

The waitress (a middle-aged gentleman) wasn't really friendly, he was very dismissive and only said the bare minimum while serving, with an unfriendly expression on his face. The food was okay, but nothing special. The pizza was dry because they saved on tomato sauce, but it wasn't the cheapest ham. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right for the quality and the hospitality (un)friendliness. We wouldn't come back again. However, the young man who picked us up was very friendly and accommodating!
