In our dry January, we decided to go out for dinner (without wine :( ). But the staff had an excellent alternative for an aperitif! The service was friendly, and the food was, as always, absolutely fantastic. We sat in the alcove next to the restrooms.

I went to Mangiare for the first time. I'd seen some delicious specialties online that I really wanted to try. Unfortunately, I was told they weren't available at the moment. But they are online! I came to your restaurant specifically for that. I can eat pizza and lasagna anywhere, but I was really looking forward to the rack of lamb! I did receive several apologies and the message that it would be passed on to the manager to be taken offline, but it's still online. The alternative we had was good, but unfortunately, not what we came for...

The food was delicious again. However, we were bothered by the cold coming into the restaurant from the conservatory; we were seated right in front of the door, which wasn't pleasant.

The food was fantastic and my 7 year old daughter got to help bake the pizzas!

Unfortunately, our visit to Mangiare was disappointing. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, near the toilets, which is not a pleasant place to enjoy a dinner. The pasta vongole did not meet expectations. It was prepared with very small lupini clams containing hardly any meat. For a price of €19.95, one would expect vongole veraci or, at the very least, significantly more flavour and balance. That was not the case. What ultimately overshadowed the entire experience was that around 10:30 PM I saw a brown rat running near the pizza oven. This is completely unacceptable in a restaurant setting and raises serious concerns about hygiene. I also reported this both directly to the waiter and later via the restaurant’s feedback survey, but received no response or follow-up. Conclusion: The combination of an unfortunate seating, a dish that does not justify its price, and above all the hygiene issue means I will not be returning.

Trattoria Mangiare is a charming restaurant with very friendly staff. Even in a packed restaurant on New Year's Eve, the drinks and dishes were served quickly. Each dish was more delicious than the last. We had a wonderful meal. Our dinner at Trattoria Mangiare was a wonderful start to our New Year's Eve. It was a fantastic experience, and we'd love to come back.

The focaccia club sandwich didn't look fantastic, but it tasted delicious. The spaghetti aglio e olio was also very good. Lovely terrace, and the interior is also nice for the evening.

Incredibly delicious food, every time. Mangiare is a household name in Eindhoven. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. A good wine list too. Reservations are recommended, as spontaneous visits aren't always an option!

People who give this less than a 5 are not on the right track

Upon arrival, it was very crowded with people waiting to be shown to their tables. The entrance was really too narrow, creating a chaotic atmosphere. It wasn't pleasant for the waitstaff either, as they had to squeeze through. Once seated, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic.

Delicious food, it was super busy so we had to wait a bit, but luckily the drinks came quickly. I've been coming here for years and I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely meal and sat there. The service was excellent.

We had a lovely meal on a busy Saturday night. The tables were very close together and not very large, so it was a bit of a squeeze with wine, water, and plates of food. We ordered still water but were given sparkling water. When we asked a waitress, she assured us it was really still water, so we opened a bottle. It certainly wasn't still water, so another waitress (who had misheard us, as can happen) asked for a new bottle. That took quite a while, but after asking again, the bottle arrived. We ordered pasta and the rib-eye main course, which tasted great. However, two rib-eyes were delivered for our table of two, which was a bit of a mystery. All in all, we had a delicious (and quick) meal. The waitress with the blonde ponytail was literally running around like a madman, so 5 stars for her. The rest was less so, so 4 stars for the service.

I had ravioli with beef cheeks and truffle; it was very tasty, although the truffle flavor wasn't very strong, and the portion was small. For dessert, I had tiramisu, which was also delicious, and the serving was generous.

I made a reservation here for Christmas for 13 people, and the reservation was confirmed. Then my mother came to dinner, and they told me the schedule wasn't finalized yet and I couldn't have a reservation. Today, I received a cancellation. When I called, they told me we were closed for Christmas. Poor communication, both with us and apparently with each other. We won't be coming back. That's no way to treat customers; just be honest. You'll achieve more that way.

Super delicious restaurant, everything is delicious, but my favorite is the pasta with shrimp. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

The food was delicious, although it was extremely busy because it was the first day of the Glow event. However, this didn't detract from the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff. One minor point of note: we didn't receive our dessert at the same time. There was at least a 10-minute gap between them. But hey, we can complain about anything. We enjoyed the food and will definitely be back.

It's definitely one of our favorite restaurants and one we always return to because the food is excellent, as was the case last Friday. The bruschettas—6 or 12 to share—are highly recommended. The pizzas and pastas are also excellent. The food and drinks are also served promptly by the staff.

We've never had such delicious pasta. We had the vegetarian spaghetti with, among other things, tomato and basil, and the spaghetti with prawns, garlic, and red pepper. And the dessert was also delicious (panna cotta with pistachios). We'll definitely eat here again when we're back in Eindhoven!

I didn't find the cappuccino to be up to par with what I'd expect in an Italian restaurant. It wasn't really hot and it was made with long-life milk.

The rudest Italian waiter you can ever find. Such a pity because the place is nice and the food is good… but the impoliteness of the waiter made the experience terrible. He will insult you out of the blue so I won’t go back.

The food was really good, but unfortunately, the prices are very high. For example, a small slice of chocolate cake for €9.50. The service was slow and not very polite. They brought the drinks "here" and then walked away. The staff broke a lot of glass and crockery while we were there. The service took a really long time (just under 30 minutes 😳). Okay, it was definitely delicious!

I've visited this place twice, but I still don’t see what the hype is about. The service is disappointing, and the food lacks flavor. If I want good pizza, I’d rather go to Pizza Beppe. The pasta dishes are also quite bland.

Always a nice place to sit down on the terrace, and have great food. I am in love with the aubergine out of the oven and the ravioli with sea bass. I always order multiple starters and mains and ask for extra plates so we can all share dishes. Perfect, because everything is so good. I always take my friends here, because I just love the food. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Tried to get a table however as I’m only looking for a table for 1 person the waitress said she is full , however there is at least 15 tables also available outside the restaurant but apparently she will be reserving them too, couple after me was a walk up also but she was able to seat them. Disappointing service as I specifically walked to this restaurant to have dinner while in Eindhoven for work.

Highly recommended trattoria in a quiet area of ​​Eindhoven. The ingredients are excellent, including Caprese salad and pasta. The service is average, as is generally the case in Europe. The cocktails are very well executed. It's not cheap, but it's worth a visit and enjoying the terrace.

We had a mixed experience during our visit. The middle-aged male waiter who served us seemed quite rushed — he didn’t really wait for us to finish our sentences, so I didn’t even get the chance to order my drink. Because of that, he misunderstood our order and came back later to ask again. While we noticed he was cheerful and friendly with other tables, unfortunately we didn’t experience the same level of attention. When we asked for the bill, there was again some confusion and we had to request it from another staff member. As for the food — the Ravioli met runderwang had beautifully cooked beef cheek, though the ravioli filling itself was rather average. The Pizza Bianca Coppa was tasty, and for dessert, the tiramisu was nice but the panna cotta was truly excellent.

I ordered two pizzas for pickup today. When I got home, I discovered I'd received the wrong pizza and paid an extra 8 euros for it. I tried calling them three times, but couldn't get through. I used to be very satisfied with this restaurant, but since they renovated/expanded, the service has become very poor.

Great atmosphere, great food, the bruschetta and desserts stood out, service a bit strange: there are a lot of staff (positive) but we lost count of the number of people who came to our table.

We've been coming here for almost 20 years! But it's really gone downhill from a good restaurant to nothing. Zero service, long waits (1.5 to 2 hours for a pizza), and spaghetti shaped like bami noodles. It's a shame. The staff has no direction, is international, and just does their own thing. Food is served to neighbors while they're still enjoying their appetizers, and we're longing for our main course, which never arrives. This happened in the garden this summer too, but then it might have been due to the crowds, etc.—hence the second chance. But unfortunately, it's the same here. So I won't be going back... Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives on Kleine Berg.

A beautiful restaurant in terms of ambiance. I find the layout unusual. The terrace was quite busy. Then you enter, and there's no one in the front area. And the back room is completely full again. Otherwise, no problem. The food was "okay," and I was somewhere between three and four stars. But I thought four was a bit too high. The service was friendly and attentive. So, perfectly fine. In terms of ambiance, we weren't in the best spot. When you have the choice between an empty front room and a space in between where you can see other people, it's a difficult choice. We sat in the space in between.

We had a wonderful meal in the covered garden with music and plenty of space between tables. The food was simple but delicious. The tiramisu was just like in Italy.

We meet up with family at the Trattoria after a day of shopping, and we've never been disappointed. Beautiful setting, friendly service, and delicious food. We've seen the Trattoria evolve during the coronavirus pandemic: from "just come on in, there's plenty of room," to "just make sure you reserve in advance or there won't be any." And that's a good sign.

Good, I had a prosecco, a pasta with sausage (it was a good portion), a tiramisu, a coffee, and a bottle of water. I liked everything. Standard Dutch prices (high compared to the equivalent in Italy).
