The quality of the food is excellent! but the soup starter was lukewarm and I had the pasta aglio e olio and found it quite salty. The soup, the pasta, and the pizza (my dining companion's) did look well-presented.

Lunch and dinner are always good, one of the better places on the Kleineberg in Eindhoven.

I genuinely enjoyed the meal, but I don't think the price-quality ratio is right.

What delicious dishes, just like you're really in Italy. Finally found an Italian restaurant that serves authentic Italian food. Delicious melanzane and pasta dishes. Nice terrace at the front, and inside I saw a beautiful courtyard. Really nice, we will definitely be back.

We sat down at a table for two, we ordered two glasses of tap water. Then after we already ordered the tap water, they asked us to move tables with another couple because of the dog, and we of course said yes and moved, adjusting ourselves to their liking. Then the lady came to us which asked to move and asked if we have our drinks ready and we said yes can we have some tap water. She said “what else? We can’t only give you tap water” mind you we are about to order our food as well??? Tap water is free?? What kind of a stupid rule is this I’m extremely frustrated at the service. I find this “rule” which the previous waitress didn’t even apply, rude and disrespectful.

Last night, after a long time, we went out for a lovely dinner and drinks with girlfriends again. As always, the food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Everything is tip-top. If I may mention one point regarding the pizza tono, the toppings could be a bit more subtle; you get full quickly and the pizza itself then fades into the background a bit.

Sorry to say the portion of Tiramisu is half of what I had here, 6 months ago. I came here more than 20 times since 2022, but unfortunately the portion of all stuff got smaller and smaller. I regret to recommend this place to many of my colleagues, they will be disappointed from 2026.

Cozy atmosphere, attentive service with a sense of humor! Small downside: the bread on the bruschettas was quite hard, which made it even harder to eat than usual 😉 We had a delicious meal. The price/quality ratio is good. We will definitely come back again.

The food was amazing. It was a shame, though, that we were back outside within an hour and a half. We understand now why the waitress reacted with surprise when we ordered a bottle of wine instead of a glass. That didn't quite fit the 'fast' food policy.

Very nice culinary experience and delicious food

The food was good, but unfortunately the service left something to be desired. The staff was inexperienced and unattentive. Additionally, the courses followed one another far too quickly; we hadn't even finished the last bite of the starter before the main course was already on the table. Not what you expect from a night out. A missed opportunity.

We ate there with 5 people; we had a reservation for 7:00 PM. Parents aged 83 and 88 had to wait 1.5 hours for their main course. We inquired several times. Eventually, they received their food at 8:45 PM (the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM!). The food was fine, but please don't make elderly people wait too long!!

Had a fine meal here. Not the best pizza in Eindhoven and the surrounding area, but certainly just good with interesting flavor combinations. The spaghetti was on the salty side. A point for improvement is that we had to wait a long time for service at the beginning, whereas tables arriving later were served sooner. While we were still eating, different employees came over to us three times to ask if we were finished and if they could take the plates away. That was a bit unusual and, in my opinion, actually 'not done' in Italian restaurants. So, as far as I'm concerned, there should be more focus on good service beforehand, and you should be left alone a bit more afterwards. All in all, a fine place, but I wouldn't be quick to go again.

The pizza had more salt than the dead sea! The material were good overall

We come here often and are always satisfied. A minor downside I found yesterday was that one of the waiters smelled strongly of sweat. Easily solved by placing a deodorant somewhere.

We come here regularly, but on 21/4 the service wasn't great, a very long wait, the wrong drinks were served as well, etc. We did apologize politely, but we would still like the staff to pay attention to this. Mangiare was once a lovely, intimate, and high-quality spot. It now seems to be succumbing to its own success. It has expanded significantly, with too many tables per square meter, making it feel like you are sitting on your neighbor's lap. A sort of plastic conservatory has been added, which is probably very practical but feels like you are sitting in your tent at a campsite. As for the food. It doesn't excel in creativity, but that is not a problem; quality is what matters, and that is somewhat disappointing. The beef cheek ravioli looked very tasty but was bland in flavor and lacked depth. The spaghetti aglio olio had absolutely no flavor at all. The staff is friendly but inexperienced (cheap), inefficient, and openly (sometimes justifiably) snapped at by the more experienced man who is trying in vain to give the restaurant a slightly more Italian touch. The only thing that has continued the upward trend are the prices, and given the experience, they feel far too high.

Very large restaurant. The Italian host was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. The bruschetta were cold and tasteless, without olive oil, on hard toast. The melanzane was very lukewarm with burnt pieces. I think the Italians would be ashamed of it. A real shame. Or maybe the chef was having an off day.

We recently went to Trattoria Mangiare in Eindhoven and the experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is welcoming, with that Italian trattoria vibe that makes you feel comfortable. The food was very good, we just thought the pasta portion was quite small, especially for the price. The pizza was very good, the dough was well-cooked and the ingredients were really good. The service made all the difference. The staff was good, we were lucky to have André serving our table, who stands out for his friendliness and good humor, always available and with genuine attention to the customer. You can really tell when someone enjoys what they do! It was a good experience: good food, good atmosphere and very good service. We recommend it!

We really had a wonderful experience. We arrived a little earlier than planned, but this wasn't a problem; we were allowed to choose our own table, so we chose a table in the corner so we wouldn't be sitting in the way with our nearly 2-year-old daughter in a high chair. But the service was really great, with a nice sense of humor! And the food was really top-notch and served quickly too. This was nice with a small child with us. So definitely recommended!

Received really nice help from a Portuguese student. And of course, a delicious wine recommended by Pino, who happened to be there.

Everything was great! I only have one piece of advice for the person welcoming guests at the door: ask for names. We had made a reservation, but she didn't ask for our names. That way, with a bit of bluff, you can just get a table without having made a reservation. We had a delicious meal and the staff were friendly.

We were with a large group of people. The service was absolutely top-notch. They helped us decide what to serve. Everything was tip-top. The food was truly delicious. We had two Italians in our party, and even they were pleasantly surprised.

I dined at your restaurant this evening. We had our courses in quick succession, and after sitting for an hour and a quarter, we were asked to leave our table because they were short on tables and other people had also made reservations. It's a shame you have to leave within 1.5 hours :(

Yesterday I ate here with my girlfriend, and this was without a doubt one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Upon entering, it was completely unclear where we were supposed to report, even though we had a reservation. Next, we were seated all the way at the back of the establishment in a sort of makeshift “garden” with plastic tarpaulins around it. It was simply cold there; you could feel the wind, and the noise was bizarre — it looked more like a food hall than a restaurant. It then took well over 30 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. Because it took so long, we just ordered everything right away. The starter arrived reasonably on time, but the soup was literally ice cold. After that, it got even worse: it took more than an hour before we could even speak to anyone. Empty glasses were simply left standing there, and no one came by to ask if we wanted another drink. Service was truly non-existent. After more than 2 hours, we had only had 2 drinks and a cold starter. Our main course didn't arrive until after 2.5 hours (!!) and, to top it all off, it wasn't tasty at all. And then the staff… truly unprecedentedly rude. No “please,” no “thank you,” absolutely nothing. When paying, the receipt was literally thrown on the table and they waited for the money with an open hand. As soon as they had the money, they just walked away without saying a word. As if that wasn't enough, while we hadn't even been eating our main course for 10 minutes, we were subtly told that we had to leave because we had been sitting there “so long.” That is truly absurd, especially considering the waiting times were entirely caused by the restaurant itself. Normally I am not difficult at all and I have a lot of understanding, but this really topped everything. Never again for us.

Had to wait two hours for a plate of very greasy tasteless pasta. Also starter was burrata soup gunk? Just no. Bruschetta no flavour besides chopped tomatoes. They have taken quantity over quality. I know they can do better. Waiters were friendly enough.

The food was delicious… And the staff was friendly. But, a group of 7. Right in the back of the tent. Blinded by heaters. Come on! It's February! You don't want to dine in a tent! We ordered from the staff who barely spoke Dutch and limited EN. Every question had to be asked. "Can I get a different sauce with the €35 Tournedos?", "Can we get fries with it?" … both answered with a NO… Next to the beautiful piece of meat, there were a few potatoes and some al dente vegetables on that plate… Oh, and a bowl of sauce… Back to the starter… It arrived after an hour! Tables around us that were later already had their starters… The reason they gave? There were a lot of us, so that was a bit more difficult logistically… But the four starters came in pairs, with 5 minutes between them… And one soup was half full, while the other was quite full. After another 40 minutes, the main courses arrived. Five plates were already (almost) empty when the last two were served... Drinks? One round. After an hour and a half, I called someone myself. They forgot a drink... I called the manager. He apologized but didn't really acknowledge anything. Just as we'd decided to order dessert, another colleague, who seemed to have understood!, offered us coffee and canoli. We felt a little more understood. Three came quickly, and the remaining four cappuccinos arrived after we asked again, after the desserts were served. Again, the food was delicious... But you won't see us back...

Delicious Italian food and a cozy, warm atmosphere. If you really want to sit inside, please specify this when you make your reservation. We were seated in the garden/tent area, which is a bit cooler (in winter) and busier.

I went back after a long time, but I remembered it differently. The food is good, but I found it too crowded, and the place at the very back of the winter garden wasn't inviting. You could also see clutter all around. The staff often walks around without trays, which is inefficient and unhygienic.

A fine restaurant, but no more than "fine." The food was okay. I had swordfish ravioli, which was fine, but the swordfish was small, almost crispy, and tasteless. The service is okay, but often takes a bit too long. In short, everything is reasonable, but for these prices, you expect more.

My wife and I went for dinner for her birthday. We were allowed to choose our seats from several different locations. We chose a smaller room for a bit more peace and quiet. However, the music was quite loud (expected due to the busyness of the rest of the restaurant). At the table next to us, a man sat all evening with his phone on the table and the sound at full volume, watching the Olympic Games. So much for the atmosphere. The building looked nicely decorated, though. The back door in this room also opened regularly to retrieve extra items, which constantly let in cold air. At first, I thought my chair was wobbly, but the floor was uneven in my spot. The food was prepared quickly and tasted delicious. In my opinion, the tournedos were a bit small, but very tasty. The staff were also very friendly, although some only spoke English (not bothersome).

The food was fantastic! Delicious bruschettas too! Highly recommended! I was here this time with just my sister. Last time, I was with a group of nine people. We were seated in the right-hand room, a nice long table with a bench. This time, we were seated straight ahead, in a small, dark room, and I was looking at a black curtain. I didn't like that. But it won't stop me from coming back.

Delicious pizzas. It's just boiling hot because of the two kitchens in each part of the restaurant. That might have made the visit a bit shorter.

I went to Mangiare for the first time. I'd seen some delicious specialties online that I really wanted to try. Unfortunately, I was told they weren't available at the moment. But they are online! I came to your restaurant specifically for that. I can eat pizza and lasagna anywhere, but I was really looking forward to the rack of lamb! I did receive several apologies and the message that it would be passed on to the manager to be taken offline, but it's still online. The alternative we had was good, but unfortunately, not what we came for...
