Restaurant located in a row of eateries; they do have a nice menu. Welcoming service. It's a pity that the omelet and fried egg were served on white bread.

The hamburger was fine. You still get that famous salad with bacon bits, egg, cucumber, and lettuce. No frills, just solid food as you expect.

We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Then you look around and see that practically everyone is waiting... When our allergy request wasn't taken into account, we were met with a rude response saying that "we ordered the wrong thing and should have taken that into account ourselves." The food itself was decent, but the portions were so small in relation to the price!

The food was good, but unfortunately, there was a bug in the salad. We reported it to the staff. No apology or compensation.

On Saturday evening, February 21, 2026, we went to De Bengel in Valkenswaard. After almost finishing our meal, we were surprised to find a dead fly/beetle in our salad. We told the staff that we had it in our salad, and they replied, "Oh, that's not very tasty, I'll pass it on." We then asked for the bill from the same staff member, and she asked if everything was to our liking, to which we replied that there was a dead insect in our salad. The only compensation we received was a smile from the staff; no apology or discount of any kind! Disgraceful for a restaurant like this!

Bugs in the food no excuses or other food nothing

At first glance, it seemed like a really nice place. We were allowed to choose our own table and were definitely satisfied. The starter (carpaccio) was fine. We then asked for a short break between courses because our son needed a bottle. This wasn't received very kindly. The salad was already on the table, while we didn't get our food for half an hour. A little later, we received the main course (tournedos). It was very poor; it was a dried-out piece of meat that should have been cooked medium, but was rare and dried out. That in itself is quite an achievement. Ultimately, nothing was done about our comment. We then paid and didn't leave a tip. Again, it was clear that the staff wasn't happy about this. The blonde lady was very friendly, while the lady with orange/red hair was mainly preoccupied with other things and wasn't friendly.

The food was good, nothing special, but it was okay. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. But please do something about that wilted lettuce and bacon that comes with it. That's really unacceptable!

Nice place to meet with friends

We sat down at your terrace today. We placed an order and after fifteen minutes someone came to take it. The table was a mess, and I asked if someone could clean it up. Sure enough, they immediately took one of the three shelves, leaving the rest where they were. The next person who came also took a shelf. When our order arrived, the third shelf and the five glasses were taken away. No one seemed to feel called upon to wipe the table clean of food scraps with a cloth. Next time, I'll choose a different terrace where the table is cleaned properly.

The food tastes very good. The meat is tender and the fries are just as they should be. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had a delicious meal tonight and the service was great. The neighboring restaurant didn't have a high chair, so we luckily ended up at De Bengel.

Tea water was lukewarm. Did get new tea afterwards. The onion soup had small burnt pieces of onion or herbs. Pannini was switched when serving. The staff couldn't get away with saying something like sorry. The pannini was missing the bell pepper. Staff responded with oh and that was it.

Found the mixed grill on the tough side. Spare ribs were delicious.

We went there again especially for the dang experience of "the past", a pity that both the prices have gone up and the portions have become considerably smaller. just had food brought home. Ham completely dried out, and fries completely fried to smithereens. Portions are certainly large enough, and sauces are also plentiful. Ham on the bone was quite expensive, but schnitzel was not. Delivery right on time. I want to order a second time in a few weeks, but then it has to be good otherwise never again. Ordering is done via the website and not via home delivery or something like that. So both meals were mediocre...

One of the better restaurants I have eaten at. Made welcome by very friendly staff who showed us to our table. And quite quickly we were provided with a drink and the menu. After making the choice, the starter arrived quite quickly. And this one was beyond expectations. A plate full and the taste was delicious! In the meantime there were new drinks and the main course arrived, which was wonderfully tender. The sauce was very good and paired perfectly with the meat! Then it was time for dessert and this again looked great! All in all a great experience! A good atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely recommended!

Had dinner here on a Friday night because we were in the area. Since then it has been a place we go to when we really want to eat well! Even though we unfortunately live quite far away. The food is really good, and the service is class. Highly recommended!

We can often be found at the Bengel in Valkenswaard. The food is of good quality, very tasty. The staff is super friendly and the service is very fast. The restaurant is open until 9:00 PM, so we had plenty of time to eat a delicious dessert. Definitely recommended! Personally, I always take the Meal Salad Dangle!!!

Excellent steak. Fries deliciously seasoned! Orders were taken quickly (which is a plus), but because of this we had not yet made a choice with a group of 5. After we finished dining, the clerk wanted to take a round of drinks, but 1 person was taking a pee. As a result, the clerk had to return again. The servant left puffing. Also the bike was delivered at 9 p.m.? Put inside even though they didn't close until 10 p.m. Quite a shame. Therefore a 3 for the atmosphere.

The food is okay nothing special. But the service is really bad. It wasn't that busy. 5 tables of 4 people and 1 bigger group. After sitting down at the table and getting the menu no waitress came to get our order. I had to go to the bar to get someone. And she was just sitting on a chair behind the bar doing nothing. Then we all finished our drinks and want more, but no one asked. We put the empty classes all together on the table. 7 waitress pass our table, looked at the empty classes and just walked away. Again I had to go to the bar to ask for service. The food took a long time. When they finally bring the food. We had empty classes, they did not take the empty classes when bringing the food. And did not ask us if we want something to drink. I had to put the empty classes on a different table to make room. At the end the waitress got friends to come over and they where sitting and drinking together while we don't get any service. In totall we where there almost 3 hours just waiting for service and a main course. Never again. I went to the Bengel in Eersel a lot of times. They have the same menu and pricing. But the food is better, it looks nicer and the service is perfect. My tip go there instead of the one in Valkenswaard.

Dirty dishes. Service nice but inexperienced, little information about the menu. The hamburger is okay, but the chicken burger is disgusting, and the salad has been sitting for too long and is not fresh. Only the fries are tasty. squeezed juice is watered down. Prices are high and quality is low.

We come here every year as a tradition to eat during our weekend away. Unfortunately, it was really disappointing for the first time. The starters were fine but the main courses were both not good. During the starter they cleared the entire terrace, not just the cushions for the rain, but really everything that we felt was being looked away from. We left the main courses because they were really not good and we also indicated this during checkout. Unfortunately, nothing was done, only an “sorry” (from a girl with glasses, which helped us very well). And having to pay in addition to a discussion between two other employees. In other words, in the coming years we will look for another restaurant to continue our tradition.

Bad service, dirty fries (reheated several times), order incomplete or delivered when the rest is already gone, all in all not recommended, I will never go here again, even though I am always extremely satisfied with the locations Eersel, Eindhoven and Veldhoven

Title: Very disappointing experience at De Bengel Valkenswaard I recently placed a large order worth approximately €400 at De Bengel Valkenswaard, especially for an important event. I clearly indicated three times in advance that there should be no pork or bacon on the sandwiches. To my great disappointment, this wish was completely ignored. When I picked up the order, the club sandwich turned out to contain bacon. This was particularly frustrating, as I had specifically requested that no pork be included in the dishes. This blunder ruined the entire event as some of our guests are not allowed to eat pork due to their diet and religious beliefs. When I contacted the store to ask if the spaghetti bolognese also contained ham, I was told that the dish was vegetarian, even though it clearly contained minced meat. This shows a dire lack of knowledge and understanding of the ingredients they use. It is unacceptable for an employee not to know that bacon is made from pork. The lack of attention to the customer's specific wishes and the staff's ignorance of the ingredients are reasons for my extremely disappointing experience. I expected much more from an establishment that claims to value quality and service. This experience not only damaged my confidence in De Bengel Valkenswaard, but also completely ruined an important event. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give De Bengel Valkenswaard a very negative review and I will certainly not order from here again in the future.

Nice place with delicious food and friendly service. I see in the questions and answers that the dog is not allowed, we were allowed to take our dog with us last Friday. Fries are deliciously seasoned and are large portions.

Great experience, good staff, especially on Thursdays! The spareribs are wickedly delicious!! But while you are there, the stall of restaurant “Indonesia Son” is ready for you with delicious Indonesian meals!

Delicious food. Exactly what I expect from such a restaurant. Friendly service. Clean toilets. The salad dressing is delicious. Spare ribs very tender. Pork tenderloin satay a little on the overcooked side, but fine for me. Satay sauce is very tasty. Chocolate mousse is very tasty.

Unfortunately very poor experience. Hardly any staff involved. You get to eat but without any feeling or experience that you might expect when eating out. They really don't set the bar high, but at McDonalds you get even better service. Main course was served without the accompanying salad and sauces. Desert was served with a big difference in time between me and my partner.

N stukje vlees van de spies was bedorven bij zeker 2 personen.borden werden mee naar achter genomen en achter roken ze niks. Ze hebben blijkbaarniks geproefd. Jammer voor hun dat ze te maken hadden met 2 personen die allebei met eten werken. (Waarvan 1 slager) Wij hadden geen zin in n heel discussie . Misschien beter spiegelen de volgende keer? Na een lange tijd weer een keer bij de Bengel gegeten.Nadat we de kaart hadden gekregen ,werd er binnen 10 minuten door drie verschillende serveersters gevraagd wat we wilden eten, niet de tijd krijgen om samen rustig de kaart te bekijken. Mixed grill besteld,, vlees was over gaar en droog, bakje sla was muffig, alsof het er al lang stond,spekjes erop die vroeger heerlijk waren nu uitgedroogde stukjes. Degelijk restaurant, niks mis mee. Als ik in de buurt zou zijn, zeker een adres wat ik zou bezoeken. Leuk plein voor de deur, hoewel teveel steen.

Bei De Bengel muss man unbedingt vorbeischauen. Das Restaurant ist toll eingerichtet, das Ambiente ist schön und angenehm, die Stühle sind außerordentlich bequem, so dass man auch gerne mehr Zeit verbringen möchte. Die Burger sind superlecker, alles schmeckt frisch und ist auch schön auf dem Holzbrett angerichtet. Sate ist auch lecker, die Sauce ist auch leicht scharf. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, es sind eher mehr als zuwenig Bedienungen da, die Wartezeit wird durch die ansprechende Dekoration noch verkürzt. Von mir 5 Sterne in allen Bereichen und auf jeden Fall wieder einen Besuch wert.

Ein nettes Lokal um Abends gemütlich etwas essen zu gehen . Es waren sehr viele Servicekräfte da, die sehr nett waren, aber ein wenig unkoordiniert wirkten. Obwohl einige Gäste nach uns gekommen waren, haben diese Gäste vor uns Essen bekommen (die gleichen Gerichte, die wir auch bestellt hatten - Burger und Rippchen) . Einer unserer Burger war sehr scharf, was so nicht in der Speisekarte stand - als wir dies der Servicekraft mitteilten, sagte diese nur , dass sie wüsste das Peperoni in dem Patty sein und ging dann einfach - nicht schön.

Hygiene is erg goed. Ook geweldig eten, maar de bediening is helemaal toppie! Toegewijde obers, die je graag helpen met goed advies bij je keuze en je krijgt je bestelling opgediend met een lach. Mijn favoriete plekje in Valkenswaard!!

Matige bedoeling. We hebben op het terras gezeten, mijn mening is het terras ongunstig (niet gezellig) ingedeeld. Ook de serveerster waarbij we ons eten en drinken hebben besteld, ook een glimlach besteld, eten en drinken in snelle bediening. Glimlach bleef achterwegen. Eten is oke, niks bijzonders.
