Been to another location previously. This was also nice. I may have had the same beer. Good drinks. Lots of options. Good service. Good food.

The Beer Garden. In East. No crowds, no madness. But Stan and the rest of the crew! Stan guided me through a whole IPA journey. Watch out! I came for a beer and went home with more than a six-pack. Ordered four rounds of fries in between. Felt good. Life is good. Stan, thanks. Highly recommended. 6 stars.

We came here for dinner as they advertise their Brisket. It was far from good, very small portion and so chewy it felt we were eating a shoe. Overpriced food, low quality, and also the drinks. Good burgers tough, but 17.5 euro for a bite-sized burger.

Very vibe-y bar, amazing food, we got the meat platter for 2 which was sooo much food, delicious burger, ribs, kebabs, chicken dips and salad. Server was super sweet, we took the leftovers to go and had enough for lunch, lots of beer options including NA options and also homemade lemonade

Very disappointed with the brisket. I expected it to be tender and juicy, but apart from the small quantity (three tiny slices for €23.50), it was chewy and tough to cut, covered with too much jus de veau. The burgers and ribs, on the other hand, were very good.

Came with hope but what a bad burger! A restaurant week deal but such a bad deal — tiny dry burger and a mini portion of overcooked fries! At least the beer was good. Really disappointed!

I've been going to the beer garden for years for a tasty bite and good beer. I was back today for the first time in a while and immediately noticed that the prices have gone up considerably. But I thought the food was always good, so I ordered the brisket for 23.50... What I got was bacon fried in soy sauce with a load of coleslaw that was only half seasoned. We also had to order fries... I'd rather have a little less coleslaw and some fries included in the price... but then a really good brisket, not this bland meal. It's a shame to lose a good place in the east.

Obviously a great place with a great beer selection, but we really didn't appreciate the pressure to order more. If you drink a craft beer (€6.50), you can't just order another one so quickly. Just leave me alone.

Top spot in Oost! Lovely patio and a very atmospheric interior. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed the Guinness on tap. The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back!

I came in with high hopes, but unfortunately the dish was underwhelming. The breaded cutlet looked appetizing, but it was overcooked and greasy — the crust was too dark, almost burnt. The Caesar salad was okay, but overdressed, and the croutons were soft instead of crispy. The boiled egg was oddly firm and cold, with a yolk that lacked any creaminess. The charred lemon slice seemed more decorative than useful — it didn’t add much to the flavor. It looked better than it tasted. Not something I would order again.

The choice is huge. Enough types of beer for everyone. The food was great

I was received very warmly and I could order almost immediately. When I told my buddy it was his birthday, they worked creatively on a nice surprise at 00:00.

Great choice of beers, tasty food and great service

What a great place! The Biertuin on the Linnaeusstraat is such a gem in East that you want to come back to. Fantastic location, cozy atmosphere with a mix of young and old, and a lovely terrace with heaters for the chilly evenings. Today I went for the cheeseburger (see photo!) — and it was really next level. Perfectly cooked meat, richly topped and the cheddar melted temptingly. I had the spare ribs here before, and they were also sublime. Everything is prepared with care and you can taste that. The staff is friendly, quick and makes you feel welcome right away. In short: a wonderful place for an evening out for dinner or a drink with friends. I will definitely come back!

Two of us ate there we ordered through the qr code on the table. One waitress told us she could have taken the order instead (at this point, we have been sitting there for 10 minutes) then the other waitress brought our burgers 2 minutes later but notably our drinks were still absent, those arrived by the time i finished my burger. Over all experience: meh

Lovely terrace in the sun, great service and even though the business was not yet officially open, we were allowed to take a seat and order.

Despite having a good enough beer selection and the great outdoor area, the service seemed a bit lost on that day and extremely slow. It's popular with young people, similar to other places around in the area.

Food was super delicious and beer was also great. We started with the sausage appetizer it came with a super yummy mustard sauce and coleslaw. The sausage was small but very juicy and good. I got a pulled pork burger and my friend got the brisket. The burger tasted very good it came with a sauce on the side that was super spicy. The brisket was also very delicious. The service was extremely slow. Not for drinks, those came quick but our food took over an hour. I think the server forgot to put it in so we had to remind him and then he came shortly after.

We were 4 having drinks and dinner last night. One of us got the order and the other 3 had to wait around 40 mins. When asking the waiter, who was for the record NOT nice or friendly at all, when the food will come, his answer was “I just don’t know”… unacceptable.

The quality of food is no longer what it used to be unfortunately. Atmosphere and service are always good.

The ribs and pulled pork burger are really good. Portions are fair and the atmosphere in the terrace is relaxing. Definitely recommend when you’re looking for top level comfort food!

When we kindly inquired after 1.5 hours about the status of our food, we were asked if we were in a hurry or what? I don't think that's really the way to deal with your guests.

Eating at the Biertuin is fun! You can also sit outside there. The food is delicious, the service friendly. The beers are great! I will definitely come back for that veggie burger!

Lovely place to take a date, especially if you like beers as there is a larger selection than in most bars. you can book a table to ensure a seat, and the outside terrace area is warmed by heaters, so it's comfortable even during the winter.

Nice cafe bar to sit with friends. Good selection of beers either draft or bottled. Their nachos is also good. Open space in front is nice even on cold days, they have heaters.

Staying at the pillows Hotel I didn't want to spend $135 for dinner, this place is right around the corner and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, bartender was good, Ambience was great. Would definitely come back here again.

The cheeseburger used to be really good but not anymore. Such a shame.

De kip is erg lekker, maar het personeel in het kleine keukentje ziet er niet uit. Shirt waar de handen aan afgeveegd worden. Krabben etc…. En daarna de hapjes zonder handschoenen op de bordjes doen. Daar moet echt wel aandacht aangegeven worden, was niet hygiënisch. Als we de volgende keer komen gaan we daar echt wel op letten want we werden er bijna beroerd van.

De Biertuin East, located on the roadside opposite the KIT, is a simple yet fantastic spot to grab a drink or two. They offer a great selection of Dutch beer. I visited once with my colleagues and enjoyed some of the best Dutch brews, paired perfectly with Bitterballen as a snack.

Super cozy terrace and the service is really TOP! What a relief, once again very friendly, helpful staff and plain speaking in the native language!! Food was delicious too!

The curry cauliflower was great and I really liked the pale ale I had with szechuan peppercorns and lemongrass. Great views of the park and people watching and the other food looked great.

Delicious rottiserie chicken and cozy terrace

Nice terrace, tasty Moscow Mule and great food! Had the carnivore menu for 2 people, the burger was delicious, the spareribs fell off the bone as they should and delicious tender chicken! After a considerable amount of cocktails, we received a bottle of water and were indeed very grateful for it the next day! Thanks for the good care 😁

Absolutely HOPPING spot to be on a Saturday night! Great service, better food, ELECTRIC atmosphere, even as a solo traveler. Too many beers/ciders on tap/available to even begin counting. I got the Schnitzel Royale and it was divine.

Great place for some drinks, inside or out

Nice and big outside sitting area that's also tented, so Dutch weather won't harm you! Unfortunately a lot of people smoke there, hence the 4 stars for 'Atmosphere'. The food is great and the beer choices are very diverse, also from the nearby located 'Brouwerij 't IJ'. All in all, good place to hang out.

We really love going here for beer and grilled chicken and a beer set. This place has been traditional for us for almost 1.5 years. Good selection of beer, very tasty chicken (take half) and a tasty and affordable set (cauliflower, wings, ossenvorst). True, the other day we noticed that the set costs the same as always, but its composition has been reduced a little: the bread has been reduced to half, the sauce has been removed. Didn't like the ribs and burgers)

After a refreshing bike ride through the park, I came to this restaurant hungry… what an incredible place to find. These 5 stars are not enough to describe the most delicious chicken wings I have ever eaten, the spectacular camembert, the potatoes full of cheese... and to top it off, a beautiful presentation. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, tasty beers and cider (Bear's is delicious!) and delicious food. This time we took the loaded potatoe. Tasty combination of baked potato and topping with pulled chicken or jackfruit. Nice service. Even some extra shade was created for us! And how fun, playing a game! We will definitely come back!

I like coming here. Everything is always delicious. But be careful about the plate for several people. You always order for 2 people and pay per person. The quantity remains the same. 😉

Nice place to sit on the terrace and eat beer and chicken. They have a full menu of beers on tap, bottled and canned. The chicken is very tasty, it's a shame that almost all the starters are deep-fried, but I understand that it fits the concept.

Had to grab something fast to eat before a concert across the street. We chose a very tasty classic cheeseburger and fried cauliflower. We recommend and the beer selection is just amazing.

Stumbled on this place as it was the last place open at 1am, what a lovely spot! Didn't manage to order food but had one of the best passionfruit p.star martinis I have ever experienced! Also had a Moscow mule which was super refreshing. These guys seriously know how to mix a cocktail. Top quality flavours and ingredients, superb rations on the mixing. Will deffo head back there at a more reasonable time 😂

I have been in Amsterdam a number of times overs the years, and for a recent visit to take in a Netherlands v Scotland football match, I was wanting to get away from central Amsterdam and explore other area's, and found myself in the area of this bar. Cool beer garden out front, and for a Thursday night it was packed, so decided to go for a drink in here after visiting a few other bars. Really great local feel to this place, and not bad prices. If in the area and looking for a lively place to go for a drink, then I recommend to visit here.

Beers and happiness! Great location, warm and welcoming staff, and a good crowd! Nothing fancy. Food was fine for a snack and good enough for a meal. What you see is what you get! If you are in the neighborhood, it's a great choice!

One of my favourite beer cafes in Amsterdam. Atmosphere is authentic. The prices are typical for amsterdam. About 6euros for a special/craft beer

Great location just off oosterpark. Nice beer list and good god do they know what to do with a chicken. Tried the roast chicken and chicken burger and both were 10/10, no notes. Side Caesar salad was also great, with lots of anchovies and cheese and croutons. Forgot to photograph the food because it was so gorgeous it needed to de eaten IMMEDIATELY so here’s a photo of a beer ✌🏼

Good selection, friendly staff. It was very busy, but they were fast with the service.

Kudos to the staff for how they handle crowds. I deliberately sat outside with the family, because it was an emotional memorial gathering. Busy group and especially the men spoke quite loudly. I'm used to that from them, but that was quite something for the people outside and the staff. There were 10 people and ordered bottles of wine, tequillas and various snacks. Smooth service, attentive and you were helped with patience. Even though our group was really busy (not annoyingly or towards others, by the way), the staff was not difficult at all and they were hospitable. Perhaps a combination of an event and the fact that it was not very busy on the terrace. Nice cozy place. Especially indoors. Covered outside, handy benches (long picnic tables) and heathers. Very useful and fun. Was also necessary that evening with about 6 degrees. Nice location! Hope to do this again with a friend and then have a nice bite to eat.
