Probably my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam! Great food, great service, nice sharing concept, I would recommend it over and over again!

Excellent service, the meals are of incredible quality, very tasty

It's not cheap, but it's really delicious. €150 for two people is still quite expensive, but compared to other places, Neni's food quality is far superior. The service is very friendly, with a few minor glitches here and there, but it's excellent. Unlike other places in this price range, I was absolutely stuffed here. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back. The baba anusch, tahini, lamb kebab, and chicken thigh with vegetables and hummus were truly excellent. The sesame dessert was too. The kunefe wasn't as good—not bad, but not up to the high standards of the other dishes. When we arrived, it was still empty at 6:00 PM, so I didn't realize until later that the music was playing and it was getting a bit louder. I'm usually quite sensitive to that, but it was fine.

We like balagan menu. I never tasted this kind of falafal ever! Dishes are excellent and last touch with mango sessame ice cream fascinating!!

Ambiance very nice, waitress very nice and helpfull. My starter, popcorn falafel was very very nice and the Pita bread delish. The starter with the lamb was unfortunately not realy great, meat was tasteless and mosterd "cream" way to sauer. We send that one back and ordered another falafel dish. Main course was very nice and the awesome desserts topped a delicious night out off. Little tip: put salt & peper on the table as a standard. We had to ask for it but bcs it took a little time for the walters to see us wave 😀 my brother had to wait with eating further. Btw: 0.0 white wine was super nice. All and all, thank you @team Neni!

Today I went for lunch here and actually I come from Madrid for this restaurant, and honestly is terrible. Nothing is fresh, they charge you 35€ for a lunch menu which include a few salads and a little hummus, which in Spain would be just included with the drink. Also you can choose a plate from 5 options, I order the shakshuka and to be really honest, was a disaster. It include two eggs yema which was overcooked and they bring you an old pita bread which is hard as a rock.. the only good thing from this place was the nice Italian girl that waitress us. I have a reservation for tomorrow night, but I won't come back is not worth it.

The most amazing staff that served us food, we were there on the 20th November, a team dinner. The way we were served and taken care, that was just wonderful. The food was super delicious as well.

The place was very welcoming despite being busy. Excellent service and quality food. Six of us arrived very hungry and opted for the tasting menu, which was satisfying in both quantity and quality. The knowledgeable and helpful wait staff looked after us closely, responding promptly to every request. I highly recommend Neni!!

Had a wonderful time at NENI. It was my first time doing shared dining. We were taken care of very well by our host Lena who was really friendly and took the time to explain the concept and all the dishes.

Cocktails, food and service are great. The atmosphere is not really cosy at the bar and the restaurant tends to get quite busy and loud. I think it’s cus of the building itself.

Very tasty starter plates, absolutely loved them! Other food & drinks looked great and also tasted well. I am giving five stars, but dont get me wrong - its not on a fine dining level, but more about creativity and freshness. Young service staff (dancing while working) doing a fine job, asked from time to time if we need anything more. So not a classical high quality fine dining service, but for the surrounding perfectly fine. Music was a bit loud, but people had their fun. 😄 The place is clean, looks modern and overall inviting with some plants and warm Interieur colours. Enjoy your Meal there and bring family&/friends!

I love coming to Neni, every time with a different group, and it's always just as fun! The atmosphere is always good, and the service is always excellent; they're very attentive. Lena is a very friendly and sweet waitress. I can't wait for the next one!

Acoustic is pretty bad. Lots of noise. Food; Excellent starter. With excellent hummus and Nice Bread. Maindish; Caesar salad was a bit poor with chicken. Taste was good.

Our family had a truly wonderful meal and were warmly welcomed. The service was excellent. There were ten of us. The bakery table was absolutely fantastic! We eat there often, but it was fantastic again!

Verdict: This place was great! I went there on a Wednesday night, alone, sat upstairs in the bar area and had a great time! I’ve been looking for a lounge type of atmosphere for a while, and this was exactly what I was looking to experience: dim lighting but still bright enough to see the menu (if you’re over 40 you may understand), comfortable seating, spacious but not club-like. Staff was amazing. Drinks were strong (only had 1-ish) I tried the popcorn falafel, which is not falafel-flavored popcorn. Instead it is the most tender and juicy falafel I’ve ever had! The tahini sauce that came with it was citrusy, light yet full, and delicious. I also tried the goat cheese with olives (delicious), and the 3D beef bites. These were surprisingly tasty. I ate them while hot. Overall, I highly recommend Neni for good food and a good time. Make that … great food and a great time!

It was my first time. The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was too. But the noise level was absolutely terrible. We could barely hear each other. I got really overstimulated and had to go outside at one point to recover. Despite the excellent food and service, the noise level is a real barrier for me to go again.

Best service in Amsterdam! Truth be told, Amsterdam hospitality is usually easy to beat, but the service, food variety, wine selection, and vibe at Neni here are all amazing! And internationally great 🤩

On of best experiences, everything was excellent

No luck tonight, foods specially the entre with Lamb was super bad Totally raw. I still on a friendly way mentioned that it was not a good night and something went wrong in the kitchen. The bill was 325 euro? We received a discount and pay 250 euro we appreciate, but no return for sure. Gr. Bruno

No hassle with shifts, just plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal and catch up. The food is delicious, and the staff is truly attentive. This time, we had a table overlooking the garage, decorated with large plants, but it's a shame there's a large screen in the background.

The food at Neni was fantastic again. We sat in the garden room, which I found a bit noisy, but it was fine. The service was friendly and efficient.

They write cuskus in the menue and sell ptitim instead.

We took the "Balagan" set menu (56E pp). Food was nice, nothing more. Every dish had Hummus or Tahini in it - one way or another. Their biggest problem is ventilation, the place has an open kitchen and there's no proper air flow, so it is CHOCKING. you feel you breath smoke. The waitress siad she knows how we feel because she suffers too but there's nothing they can do. We paid 235 Euro for 3 people - but the experience and mainly the food doesn't justify the price.

Loved it! Quiet place, with a great interior and pleasant atmosphere. The staff doesn't always see you waiting at the door, so there was some confusion about whether to walk through or not. Otherwise, very friendly and good service. Lots of vegetarian options too, and delicious wine! The mezze platter is quite substantial; we then had the Neni specialty dish, but that was way too much (for lunch, anyway). They are very attentive to dietary requirements and allergies.

Neni's team is among the most professional team I had the pleasure to interact with. As a company, we booked a table for 13 but showed up with 26 people. The team went above and beyond to accommodate on the spot. They stayed professional, smiling and friendly despite the last minute constraint. Thank you guys, we had an amazing time.

Fantastic way to spend my first night in Amsterdam!! Food was absolutely phenomenal. We did the Taste of Neni and for starters had the fried eggplant w/hummus (sabbih?) and octopus carpaccio so DELICIOUS and fresh tasting. Mains we had the branzino with the fried capers and steak dish with chips: cooked perfectly medium rare with garlic confit, yum. And for dessert I had the sesame: moscavado ice cream with halva, sesame seeds, carmelized pecans (one of the BEST tasting desserts I’ve had in a long time) and Matt had the chocolate tart, which was solid but not as good as my sesame dessert. Make reservations, go now!

The drinks are also an experience in themselves – unusual, high-quality, and delicious. For me, NENI Amsterdam is one of the best addresses in the city if you want to enjoy food, ambiance, and service at the highest level. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!

Very unique restaurant with cool menu and great dishes. We went for the Hafla which is awesome to share with people - lots of fun and enough food even for the hungry ones - great job to the team. On the downside : fairly large place and bustling with noise (less suitable for a romantic 1:1 dinner in my opinion) - great for friends / family/ work 2 dishes were so so - the Courgette - although the sauce was perfect and the courgette was cooked inside amazing - the hard burned outer skin was too tough/rough . The chicken Kebab - again comes with humus and paprikas/pepper - was absolutely perfect but some of the chicken had the over char taste Aside of that - highly recommend. Staff, restaurant concept is amazing

Great food, great service, signage to toilets could be a bit more clear but otherwise a fab experience

Really nice service and interesting food. We had the four-course tasting, but seeing some other dishes coming out made us think the other menu may have been better, as the chicken and kebab both looked great but weren't served to us. Anyway. The hummus was really good, and fish was super. Only downer was the beef, which was served with supermarket-style potato chips which was not only odd, but didn't add anything to the dish. Desert was a bit small too, but tasted great. Overall though, great place and friendly staff.

We had a great dinner at Neni. It was a group of 6, so we had to do the chef's selection which I was a little bummed about to start. However, everything the server brought out was great and at the end of the meal we decided this would have been best anyway because we got things we would not have probably ordered on our own. We had an early time slot, so the service was initially incredible, but as the restaurant filled on a Friday evening, obviously we were no longer one of few tables to attend to. Still highly recommended as this is completely understandable and we still didn't feel ignored by any means.

Beautiful dishes, wonderful to sample and share. The wine pairing was reasonably priced at €25 for 2.5 hours, and you can order from their selection by the glass. The service was very friendly; unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the Polish/Swedish woman who helped us most often, but she was very welcoming and provided excellent advice, etc. We'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience at NENI Amsterdam. The service was outstanding – the team took great care of my colleague and me, especially since we both have multiple food intolerances. We walked in as guests but left feeling like part of the Neni family. The food is delicious, and you can truly savor the flavors and authentic preparation of each dish. It transports you directly to the region. It's an absolute must in the city, and we'll definitely be back.

The falafel is wonderful with its crisp texture and balanced spice; the hummus, with its silky consistency and the accompanying warm pita, is the star of the table. Among the hot appetizers, the saganaki (fried feta, figs, and tomatoes) and sabich (eggplant, amba, zhug, and egg) are particularly impressive, both visually and deliciously. The bread is fresh and impeccable, and the service is attentive and professional. The rice dish I tried as my main course, despite its visual appeal, didn't leave a lasting impression on the palate. Prices are above the Amsterdam average, but I'd definitely consider returning for the falafel, hummus, and appetizers.

This is my second time eating at NENI. We definitely spent a few hours there. The food was delicious, and Sjors provided top-notch service. It's also great to hear about the points system. I generally value personal attention from the staff.

Great service, delicious food, warm ambience. We had brunch there and really enjoyed our food, so thought to try their dinner. The serving size for all courses were very generous, and we love the different pairing of ingredients from entree to dessert. We were almost full just after entree, but the sesame ice cream (was there aniseed? Whatever spice it was, it was fantastic) was so good I still licked my plate clean.

Food was a little disappointing. The starters were too salty to the point the salt surpassed all flavors of the plate. The mains did not come with a side so if you did not order a main as a side to share you just had to eat the protein without a side dish. As there is no a la carte option you could not even add any sides dishes.

The carrot salad and octopus ceviche were delicious. Mains: good. Desserts were a bit disappointing. Tasty, but not wow! We waited a long time for a refill on the wine glass. The space is beautiful.

Tasteless food, tried their Sabich, hummus with falafel and mango pannacotta. Food was mild at best, didnt have any taste. On top of that it costed 105€. Not pleased and would ask for my money back

Lovely service. Food was nicely prepared, even if some dishes were over sugared & over creamed, no doubt to suit local tastes (what is clarified butter doing in a Middle Eastern dish?). Nice evening, but not really the kind of Middle Eastern experience we were looking for. Oh ja, en niemand leek Nederlands, Arabisch of Frans te spreken, daarom is deze recensie in het Engels.

Delicious food. Last time we had the Balagan menu, and now we're having the three-course meal. The Balagan menu is better coordinated and highly recommended. The food is delicious again, and the Italian waiter completes the evening with his humor and hospitality.

We ate here a while ago and had a fantastic experience. We weren't sure what to order, so we opted for the HAFLA menu (4 courses). We were truly surprised by every dish that arrived, as each one was packed with flavor. The staff was also super friendly and very attentive. The interior was also very clean, with an open kitchen in the center. Everything created a very cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

NENI Amsterdam is always a culinary delight. A phenomenal experience. Not just dinner, an event. The staff obviously are well trained and do a great job. I don’t normally like to eat out because I am a pretty accomplished home chef and know 90% of the time I could do better at home at a fraction of the price. But not at NENI. The spices, combinations and methods of cooking are magic and do a delightful dance with my tastebuds. Each and every dish is a work of art. Such a treat every time I go. Lovely to have a place I can enjoy with cherished friends and family for dishes I could never recreate at home.

Delicious food, friendly service. The "small" menu was far too much for us. We should have ordered fewer for one person, four instead of five. If you have more than three people, you have to choose from the three-course menus.

Just WOW! Starting off with the wonderful staff working there, I was immediately welcomed by such a smiley and happy crew! The food was also super delicious (we were a group of 7 and took the 3 course menu). We all rolled out of there with our bellies full. Would 100% recommend

We had a reservation, arrived delayed but more than an hour before closing time, explained our situation that we had been delayed due to KLM and an additional 30 minute wait for our baggage at the airport and were denied service due to seemingly bored chefs who had already started cleaning the kitchen. I guess customers who know NENIs food in Hamburg (our hometown) aren’t appreciated. We will not be back - plenty of other choices in both cities.
