Food was super delicious and beer was also great. We started with the sausage appetizer it came with a super yummy mustard sauce and coleslaw. The sausage was small but very juicy and good. I got a pulled pork burger and my friend got the brisket. The burger tasted very good it came with a sauce on the side that was super spicy. The brisket was also very delicious. The service was extremely slow. Not for drinks, those came quick but our food took over an hour. I think the server forgot to put it in so we had to remind him and then he came shortly after.

What a fantastic evening at NENI Amsterdam! We came to celebrate our son passing his exams, and without us having to say a word, the staff noticed immediately. At dessert, a small cake with little stars in it suddenly appeared on the table—what a lovely surprise! It just makes you happy. The food? Finger-licking good. The Eastern Mediterranean cuisine is really well put together: full of flavor, beautiful dishes to share, and everything equally delicious. We enjoyed every bite. Our server was super—a smooth guy, fast service, and exactly the right atmosphere for a party. Everything ran like clockwork and nothing was too much trouble. And the value for money? Excellent. For what you get in terms of food, atmosphere, and service, you pay a more than fair price. In short: cozy, delicious, and with that little extra that makes an evening unforgettable. Absolutely impeccable. Top-notch service at the bar! We hadn't made a reservation, so we simply chose the bar with the option to eat. The products were high-quality and fresh. The flavors were spot on.

Food is amazing, restaurant is amazing, normally the service is really good. But this time it was terrible!! The waiter didn’t seem like he wanted to serve us. And since when are people offended when you speak Dutch in the Netherlands?

With the choice of the menu for €49 is the balance between price and quality on the edge. Never asked for bread but they charged €3 despite my guest not eating a dessert.

We were a large group and had the pleasure of enjoying the Balgan menu. The food was fantastic, delicious, and beautifully presented. The location is relaxed and cozy. The staff is quick and incredibly friendly. A wonderful experience.

We dined there for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the service was great (for example, they came by regularly to top up the wine), and it has a beautiful (spacious) ambiance.

Very nice meal at Neni for a couple of 30th birthdays we were celebrating. Inviting atmosphere, good food and friendly staff.

They are super welcoming and warm, and also patient in explaining the entire menu and rules. The dishes we selected were tasty, enough to share, and fresh!

Great food, nice staff, very good experience

The food was incredibly good, and the atmosphere and service were superb. However, it was boiling hot in the restaurant. I won't be coming back anytime soon unless they invest in air conditioning.

We waited for nearly 10 minutes at the entrance where there was a sign to wait. We were stared at and ignored by 2 different servers who walked past us. Eventually the host noticed us and told us the kitchen was closed (2 hours before actual closing). They had multiple opportunities to tell us but didn’t seem to give slightest crap and treated customers like ghosts. Truly the classic Dutch service experience, absolutely terrible.

A great place with amazing food. The staff is absolutely top tier, and I'd like to thank a lady who worked today and was extremely nice and looked out for food allergies. The most valuable waiter any customer can ask for. I had excellent time thanks to the service team.

Hugely disappointed!!! We had long wanted to visit this restaurant having heard good stories, however came away hugely underwhelmed by the experience. Initially things were promising with exceptional service, drinks and small platter in the bar, although the bar itself is fairly soulless, and initially service in the restaurant was pleasant and functional but didn't last and became very poor with no attention unless asked. The real big problem here is the food, where you would expect dishes full of flavour and excitement, but experienced bland tasting dishes with little to no seasoning or flavour apart from being oily and salty. A significant waste of money at over €75 per person!

Starter - corn dish, weak. Starter - falafel with hummus, very good. Main course - pasta with shrimp, weak. Drinks - GT and Negroni, very good. Service and atmosphere, very good.

Food was good but service deteriorated a lot. Bear in mind I still left a good tip as appreciation and hope for better… however not everyone in the team deserved that tip… it’s really a shame, as it was my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam.

There were four of us, and we ordered the Balgan menu. The food was delicious and varied. The all-you-can-drink option was the perfect complement. The attentive and friendly service deserves special mention. The only downside: The restaurant is very noisy. Relaxed conversation at the table is impossible. You have to huddle together or speak loudly.

Unfortunately this time i did not have a good experience..we waited for nearly 1.5 to 2 hours for our main meal. All the food came seperately. My lamb meat was a bit row which i could not eat as pregnant woman so i returned it and when it came back i burned my finger on the iron stick. It was just too busy for the team to handle the evening.

Amazing service, food was absolutely banger. We ate the brunch menu and it was superb. I am vegan, and i had no issues with food options or flavor profiles. They explained the food really well as well.

Nice place! Very friendly and skilled staff who really look after you: bringing more pita bread, checking on the drinks, they really made sure we had a great time.

The food was delicious. The desserts were high-quality, especially the cheesecake and baklava. The shrimp and lamb skewers were delicious. The noise in the restaurant made it difficult to talk. The breaks between meals were too long. I left exhausted and, despite the good food, hungry.

Vegan Egyptian moussaka is absolutely out of this world. The place is super cosy.

Everything was, as always, perfect: naturally the food—the dishes on the revamped menu are top-notch, although some favorites like the fava should stay forever for me—the wine, and the service! It's impressive how they always manage to find and retain such nice, attentive, and dedicated people here!

Great and tasty food. The falafel and hunus are always a success. We really like the grilled artishock and labaneh dish. The calamari salad was not as good as the other dishes. It was obvious it is was frozen. The portions were of good size as well. The service was sharp and accurate. It was a great dinner

It's not cheap, but it's really delicious. €150 for two people is still quite expensive, but compared to other places, Neni's food quality is far superior. The service is very friendly, with a few minor glitches here and there, but it's excellent. Unlike other places in this price range, I was absolutely stuffed here. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back. The baba anusch, tahini, lamb kebab, and chicken thigh with vegetables and hummus were truly excellent. The sesame dessert was too. The kunefe wasn't as good—not bad, but not up to the high standards of the other dishes. When we arrived, it was still empty at 6:00 PM, so I didn't realize until later that the music was playing and it was getting a bit louder. I'm usually quite sensitive to that, but it was fine.

We like balagan menu. I never tasted this kind of falafal ever! Dishes are excellent and last touch with mango sessame ice cream fascinating!!

Ambiance very nice, waitress very nice and helpfull. My starter, popcorn falafel was very very nice and the Pita bread delish. The starter with the lamb was unfortunately not realy great, meat was tasteless and mosterd "cream" way to sauer. We send that one back and ordered another falafel dish. Main course was very nice and the awesome desserts topped a delicious night out off. Little tip: put salt & peper on the table as a standard. We had to ask for it but bcs it took a little time for the walters to see us wave 😀 my brother had to wait with eating further. Btw: 0.0 white wine was super nice. All and all, thank you @team Neni!

Today I went for lunch here and actually I come from Madrid for this restaurant, and honestly is terrible. Nothing is fresh, they charge you 35€ for a lunch menu which include a few salads and a little hummus, which in Spain would be just included with the drink. Also you can choose a plate from 5 options, I order the shakshuka and to be really honest, was a disaster. It include two eggs yema which was overcooked and they bring you an old pita bread which is hard as a rock.. the only good thing from this place was the nice Italian girl that waitress us. I have a reservation for tomorrow night, but I won't come back is not worth it.

The most amazing staff that served us food, we were there on the 20th November, a team dinner. The way we were served and taken care, that was just wonderful. The food was super delicious as well.

The place was very welcoming despite being busy. Excellent service and quality food. Six of us arrived very hungry and opted for the tasting menu, which was satisfying in both quantity and quality. The knowledgeable and helpful wait staff looked after us closely, responding promptly to every request. I highly recommend Neni!!

Had a wonderful time at NENI. It was my first time doing shared dining. We were taken care of very well by our host Lena who was really friendly and took the time to explain the concept and all the dishes.

Cocktails, food and service are great. The atmosphere is not really cosy at the bar and the restaurant tends to get quite busy and loud. I think it’s cus of the building itself.

Very tasty starter plates, absolutely loved them! Other food & drinks looked great and also tasted well. I am giving five stars, but dont get me wrong - its not on a fine dining level, but more about creativity and freshness. Young service staff (dancing while working) doing a fine job, asked from time to time if we need anything more. So not a classical high quality fine dining service, but for the surrounding perfectly fine. Music was a bit loud, but people had their fun. 😄 The place is clean, looks modern and overall inviting with some plants and warm Interieur colours. Enjoy your Meal there and bring family&/friends!

I love coming to Neni, every time with a different group, and it's always just as fun! The atmosphere is always good, and the service is always excellent; they're very attentive. Lena is a very friendly and sweet waitress. I can't wait for the next one!

Love this place!! I often travel to Amsterdam for work and I make sure I come here for a meal every time!! The food, the staff and the decor every everything is perfect every time!! Cannot reccomed it enough!

Acoustic is pretty bad. Lots of noise. Food; Excellent starter. With excellent hummus and Nice Bread. Maindish; Caesar salad was a bit poor with chicken. Taste was good.

Our family had a truly wonderful meal and were warmly welcomed. The service was excellent. There were ten of us. The bakery table was absolutely fantastic! We eat there often, but it was fantastic again!

Verdict: This place was great! I went there on a Wednesday night, alone, sat upstairs in the bar area and had a great time! I’ve been looking for a lounge type of atmosphere for a while, and this was exactly what I was looking to experience: dim lighting but still bright enough to see the menu (if you’re over 40 you may understand), comfortable seating, spacious but not club-like. Staff was amazing. Drinks were strong (only had 1-ish) I tried the popcorn falafel, which is not falafel-flavored popcorn. Instead it is the most tender and juicy falafel I’ve ever had! The tahini sauce that came with it was citrusy, light yet full, and delicious. I also tried the goat cheese with olives (delicious), and the 3D beef bites. These were surprisingly tasty. I ate them while hot. Overall, I highly recommend Neni for good food and a good time. Make that … great food and a great time!

It was my first time. The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was too. But the noise level was absolutely terrible. We could barely hear each other. I got really overstimulated and had to go outside at one point to recover. Despite the excellent food and service, the noise level is a real barrier for me to go again.

Best service in Amsterdam! Truth be told, Amsterdam hospitality is usually easy to beat, but the service, food variety, wine selection, and vibe at Neni here are all amazing! And internationally great 🤩

No luck tonight, foods specially the entre with Lamb was super bad Totally raw. I still on a friendly way mentioned that it was not a good night and something went wrong in the kitchen. The bill was 325 euro? We received a discount and pay 250 euro we appreciate, but no return for sure. Gr. Bruno

No hassle with shifts, just plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal and catch up. The food is delicious, and the staff is truly attentive. This time, we had a table overlooking the garage, decorated with large plants, but it's a shame there's a large screen in the background.

The food at Neni was fantastic again. We sat in the garden room, which I found a bit noisy, but it was fine. The service was friendly and efficient.

We took the "Balagan" set menu (56E pp). Food was nice, nothing more. Every dish had Hummus or Tahini in it - one way or another. Their biggest problem is ventilation, the place has an open kitchen and there's no proper air flow, so it is CHOCKING. you feel you breath smoke. The waitress siad she knows how we feel because she suffers too but there's nothing they can do. We paid 235 Euro for 3 people - but the experience and mainly the food doesn't justify the price.

Loved it! Quiet place, with a great interior and pleasant atmosphere. The staff doesn't always see you waiting at the door, so there was some confusion about whether to walk through or not. Otherwise, very friendly and good service. Lots of vegetarian options too, and delicious wine! The mezze platter is quite substantial; we then had the Neni specialty dish, but that was way too much (for lunch, anyway). They are very attentive to dietary requirements and allergies.

Neni's team is among the most professional team I had the pleasure to interact with. As a company, we booked a table for 13 but showed up with 26 people. The team went above and beyond to accommodate on the spot. They stayed professional, smiling and friendly despite the last minute constraint. Thank you guys, we had an amazing time.

Delicious food and the best service I have had in Amsterdam. Sjoerd is such a bundle of joy, makes me want to come back to Neni’s all the time. It’s a great option for both casual and business meals. Looking forward to to trying the new menu next time.

Fantastic way to spend my first night in Amsterdam!! Food was absolutely phenomenal. We did the Taste of Neni and for starters had the fried eggplant w/hummus (sabbih?) and octopus carpaccio so DELICIOUS and fresh tasting. Mains we had the branzino with the fried capers and steak dish with chips: cooked perfectly medium rare with garlic confit, yum. And for dessert I had the sesame: moscavado ice cream with halva, sesame seeds, carmelized pecans (one of the BEST tasting desserts I’ve had in a long time) and Matt had the chocolate tart, which was solid but not as good as my sesame dessert. Make reservations, go now!
