Lovely, cosy spot to eat some good quality French food. The service was very professional and friendly and we felt really at home here. I'm pregnant so I couldn't sample the large wine list but the alcohol-free G&T worked for me! The only thing we weren't totally sure about was that for my partner the bisque (starter) was a bit thinner than ideal. However the taste was good, so I don't think you can say that was a fault on their side so much as a personal preference on his. Would really recommend this place.

Open, cozy, informal and relaxed feeling

Small local restaurant. My main course of sea bass was quite good, but overall the restaurant does not deserve the raves and high rating in other reviews. As others have written, the small tomato soup appetizer is unique and the best part of dinner. The lobster bisque was one piece of lobster floating in a very salty clear broth - it was not bisque which is smooth, buttery and creamy. The parfait dessert was tasteless.

We zijn hier gaan eten vanwege de hoge beoordeling. De verwachtingen werden volledig waargemaakt! Supervriendelijk personeel, fijne ongedwongen sfeer, maar niet té. En het eten was heerlijk. Binnen het driegsngenmenu waren de porties precies goed. Verbeterpuntje: de wijnkaart zou wel wat uitgebreider mogen. De menukaart heeft een beperkte, maar mooi gevarieerde keuze. Ik hoop dat ze de menukaart in een jaar vaker wisselen, dan zien ze ons hier zeker nog wel een paar keer terug!

Een sfeervolle bistro, heerlijk gegeten en een vriendelijke bediening. De menukaart is niet zeer uitgebreid maar biedt voldoende gerechten van uitstekende kwaliteit. Met name de kreeftensoep. Van harte aanbevolen!

Aardig personeel, eten smaakte lekker en had een mooie presentatie en de service was erg snel. Het was schoon en zag er verder allemaal netjes uit. Warm ontvangst bij binnenkomst, zou graag willen terugkomen!

On Saturday evening we had a 3-course menu, namely lobster soup, bavette and parfait. In one word: delicious! The bavette in particular was great: beautiful in structure and texture and delicious in taste. The Syrah wine chosen was just good. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, partly due to its limited size. The host and hostess make sure you feel comfortable and are not present unnecessarily. They could just say a little more about the food. Finally: the liqueurs are highly recommended. Costs: €45 for food. Including drinks, approximately €70 per person.

Small but nice restaurant with a great ambience and very tasty food at a reasonable price. If we visit The Hague again we will definitely come back!

Soup to nuts, this was a fantastic meal with stellar service to match. There is a prix fixe menu or you can order a la carte, and the options are diverse and interesting. After a very tasteful and memorable amuse bouche, tomato cappuccino that I would like to re-create in my own kitchen, I had the flank steak/bavette, cooked to a perfect medium rare. My husband had the 3-course meal that started with a spectacular lobster bisque, both in flavor and in lobster content, the fish of the day (cod) in a beurre blanc sauce, and a “grand dessert” which was a variety platter of yummy sweets. Every one of these dishes was top notch, as were the side dishes of potatoes and vegetables. I could have made a meal from the tomato cappuccino and the potatoes alone! The service was friendly and attentive, and our servers had easy English. The rices were right. All in all, this may have been our favorite meal on this trip to The Netherlands, including a couple of interesting outings in Amsterdam. Don’t think twice; this is one meal you won’t regret.

Excellent cuisine with a French twist. The 4-course menu was also really great value for money. The suggested wines went perfectly with the courses.

As if you are in Paris! An attractively decorated and illuminated establishment, with tables well spaced apart, nostalgic French chanson music in the background. Intimate. We ordered a four-course menu with wine pairing. I can recommend this to everyone! How nice it is if you can choose from classic starters such as the bisque d'Homard or steak tartare (or both), a grilled bavette or mixed grill of fish as a main course, perfectly prepared (master chef!) and served. With farmer's fries and fresh vegetables. And then it is almost impossible to choose from the desserts of homemade delicacies. The wines were surprising (including from Romania) and excellent accompaniments to the dishes. Sympathetic service who takes the time to explain the wines and dishes. We'll be going back to The Hague soon!

What a find! The restaurant puts its heart and soul into the service, food, ambience...it was a delight to stumble upon this lovely eatery. The savoury tomato starter soup/drink was my all time favourite....still trying to re create at home. Strong, focused menu to deliver to varied palates and maintain beauty and quality. Personally I loved the mixed grill, see photo. The wine flights are a slick side, desserts hit the right spot to elegantly finish.

Positivo: Buena calidad de los productos. El camarero muy atento y amable. Bonita decoración. Los postres son lo mejor de la carta. La Mayonesa la hacen ellos mismos Negativo: Preparación demasiada sencilla de la comida, no resulta nada espectacular. Las patatas son congeladas. Porciones muy pequeñas( Por ejemplo, la plancha de marisco lleva 3 gambas congeladas y dos trozos de pescado del tamaño de 3 dedos de una mano) El aseo de hombres estaba muy sucio!!!!! 😱 Precio exageradamente alto, unos 50€ con bebida, para lo que ofrecen

Waar steeds meer restaurants excentrieke gerechten uit alle (uit)hoeken van de wereld serveren, blijft het team van Bistrooh vertrouwen op de Franse keuken. Gelukkig maar! Gedoe, daar houden ze hier niet van, maar van goed eten hebben ze heel veel verstand. Je gaat in onze ogen uit eten om lekker te genieten en toch niet om een of andere uitdaging aan te gaan? Lekker genieten, zo voelt het ook bij Bistrooh, alsof je bij goede vrienden de huiskamer binnenstapt. Hier wordt nog echt op smaak gekookt en vindt de kok het minder belangrijk om zo veel mogelijk gekke kleuren en vormen op het bord te toveren. Fatsoenlijke portiegrootte, kies voor vier gangen als je een grote eter bent. Advies: Neem een wijnarrangement bij je menu ze schenken hier bijzonder lekkere wijnen en er wordt ruimhartig geschonken. Dus wil je gezelligheid en echte kwaliteit zonder kapsones? Dan kunnen wij Bistrooh van harte aanbevelen!

Possibly the most excellent restaurant in the Hague😍 We came to De Bistrooh many times over the past 4 years and every single visit was one hell of a journey for our taste buds. The service is top notch,atmosphere is super gezzelig and you won't doubt for a second that the owners love what they are doing and are putting all their heart into it. Can't wait to come back soon again 😋

Heerlijk gegeten voor een goede prijs. De bediening is super, hebben erg gelachen met onze gastvrouw, maar ze was tegelijkertijd super professioneel en kon ons alles vertellen over de gerechten en dranken. Aanrader!

Kleine gezellige zaak. De kok/eigenaar was zeer gastvrij. Legde uit de ingrediënten per gang. Helaas nog kleine aandachtspunten. Carpaccio met truffelmayonaise smaakte net niet door de overheersende smaak van lenteui. (beter alleen het groene deel te gebruiken) Als het meisje uit de bediening ook nog op 'etiket' kan uitserveren van wijnen dan zeker 5 sterren waard!

Heerlijk eten voor een goede prijs en een super bediening. Echt een aanrader voor een lekker en gezellig diner.

In assoluto il miglior ristorante che abbiamo trovato a L'Aia. Abbiamo mangiato fuori in 9, su una chiatta in riva al fiume. Non conosco affatto la cucina olandese, ma in questo ristorante offrono piatti ottimi di pesce e carne liberi da contaminazioni, una cucina semplice e ben fatta. L'aspetto migliore è stato ad ogni modo il servizio, professionalità e cortesia a misura di cliente. Con noi sono stati spiritosi e simpatici in linea con il mood della serata. Merita andarci assolutamente!

Excellent service, le serveur est vraiment très sympathique et à l'écoute, les plats étaient très bon (poisson bar très bon), le restaurant est calme mais tout de même très bien placé (proche du jardin du palais et donc du centre ville). À essayer.
