After a walk in the forest, the place is perfect for a detox smoothie or a RED juice. A lovely terrace outside, and inside, tables with a beautiful view.

Nice menu, had a tasty meal. The toilets are mixed and nicely decorated. The variation on the Sloppy Joe is called Sloppy Bobo here and was a big hit! Now that I'm posting the photo, I'm getting hungry again immediately :)

Nice place! The weather was absolutely awful and an event was being set up. Parking was available, less than €6 for nearly 2 hours. However, it was a bit messy and muddy. I almost got stuck in the mud within a minute but managed to "wobble" my way out. The building looked a bit dated from the outside, but inside it was very cozy and busy. But not too busy. Super friendly staff, good food. We had a tuna salad sandwich and a lemon chicken lunch salad. Good quality. The toilet was mixed. No problems with that, but a problem if someone peed on the seat and it smelled of urine. But that could be an isolated incident caused by an untidy guest. Due to the muddy parking and the toilet, just missing out on 5 stars for the general atmosphere.

Eggs Arlington was good. Great breakfast.

Eggs Benedict! 😋😋😋 Poaching eggs the right way is an art. And with brioche bread, too, and *not* thick slices of sourdough. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And what incredibly friendly staff. A breath of fresh air. I will definitely be back, and I am curious to see the rest of the menu.

I’d happily return to Restaurant De Bosbaan. The location is hard to beat—right by the water and surrounded by greenery, it feels like you’re far outside the city even though you’re still in Amsterdam. We stopped for lunch and everything was fresh, well presented, and served without a long wait. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of place where you can easily stay longer than planned, especially if the weather is nice and you can sit on the terrace. A great spot to combine with a walk or bike ride through the Amsterdamse Bos.

We had a delicious meal and just a main course was enough. I had half spare ribs. The service was great and, yes, Dutch-speaking. The location was beautiful, especially since we sat outside in the sun.

Ordered an iced coffee. Served in a whiskey-glass. So not that big. Inside were 4 huge ice cubes. Plus some coffee and milk. Drank it quickly, before the North Pole thawed and everything got watery. So little coffee/milk, so much ice. And all that for €5.10 Quick money, Bosbaan!

Love the spareribs & elderflower spritz!

On June 30, 2026, my wife and I wanted to have lunch before starting a walk through the Amsterdamse Bos. Restaurant de Bosbaan was on the route. We sat down inside at table 13. Was that an omen? After waiting for over fifteen minutes, without any of the staff even glancing in our direction, we left. We tried to contact them via the contact form. We waited 7 days, no response. I hope for the restaurant's sake that we are in the minority with this complaint and that this is indeed an exception.

Excellent spot for lunch. They have a large terrace with a fantastic view over the water. The sandwiches are super and they have gluten free bread available. They even have a few gluten free pastries. Well worth a visit

Well, but…the staff lacks warmth, that cool touch…

Fantastic place to host a party. Ylana's service was outstanding and the brunch food was delicious. All our guests' wishes were well catered for. The communication beforehand also went perfectly.

Large outdoor terrace with a beautiful view over the water. Service was very friendly; they came by regularly and served quickly. The first time we came for a coffee to go, which took about 15 minutes, but understandable given how busy it was. Unfortunately, my iced latte only contained oat milk and was missing the coffee. It was fixed immediately upon returning, within a few minutes. Afterward, we had another drink and some snacks on the terrace, which was perfectly fine without a reservation around 5:00 PM on a warm day. There was quite a lot of pepper in the gin tonic, though, and the size of the iced matcha and Aperol spritz was quite small for the price. The nachos, cheese sticks, and fries were fine (although the fries were either very small potatoes or what was left over from a batch because they were very short). All in all, a nice location with good service, great snacks, and a wide selection of cocktails, non-alcoholic options, etc. At 5:00 PM, however, some things were no longer available—a few taps empty, some lemonades, but it was a very hot Sunday on Father's Day, so that is understandable.

They were really nice to us,our food and drinks came so fast. İ would recommend to come at a good weather because its so beatiful outside. The drinks were didnt meet my expectations but our food was delicious. We bought the nachos and the bittermix and it was better than we expected. The toilets are so cute and clean.

A lively, bustling restaurant with a wonderfully mixed crowd. Young, old, athletes, hikers, a "girlfriends' group," or family. A location suitable for everyone. Fast, correct service and ... delicious food. (We had trouble choosing) Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Transferring papers remotely or quickly baking a batch is no longer possible.

The menu really is very small but the burger we both had was absolutly delicious. Soft fluffy brioche bread with crispy lettuce, good cheese and an incredibly tasty burger. We didn't realize they would close so soon though. The staff told us last call from the bar around 8:30 I think. Definitely on us though. All in all a great place for a bite with friends with a view!

A nice restaurant near the A10 highway. We had coffee and tea there. They were excellent, and the staff was friendly. There's a spacious parking lot with reasonable parking rates. I found the restaurant, partly due to the large glass windows overlooking the Bosbaan, very noisy. The acoustics aren't great.

We held our pre-wedding party at De Bosbaan and were given the first floor for our gathering. With seven (young) children, we were a bit nervous about the stairs, but thanks to the lockable door and the attentive staff, everything felt safe. The food was delicious – all our guests were enthusiastic. The cake and drinks package and the lovely three-course dinner were perfectly arranged. We have wonderful memories of that evening. We were already loyal guests and will certainly remain so. Thank you for the wonderful care!

Nice location and nice and quiet

The service leaves much to be desired. We were in a group of seven for lunch. The drinks are placed in groups of seven at one corner of the table, and everyone is supposed to help themselves. Coffee milk? "You can get it at the bar." The second round follows the same procedure, but the previously used coffee set is not taken. Disinterested. The service has been better here in the past. The atmosphere gets 3 stars because of the lovely view from the window.

Ordering via QR code. This is impersonal. The place was practically empty, so ordering was unusual. Different music styles mixed together. Even from the kitchen. Very annoying.

The order system including payment upfront is not working for people without ideal (all non european). Staff was very rude in explaining and offered no solution, payment with cash/pincard was no option. In the end an other customer paid for us which was very kind (we returned cash). Only after you update your payment system with more flexibility and train your staff to be polite we will return. In the past I would have recommend this place.

Good coffee and a nice place to watch the rowers, or the Carp jumping on a sunny day 👍. Service is pretty decent surprisingly.

We had a lovely coffee there. The weather was beautiful, and the surroundings are also stunning.

I visited this café twice after a friend recommended the tuna sandwich, which he really liked. First visit: I came a little after 4 PM and found out the tuna sandwich is only available earlier in the day, as part of the breakfast/lunch menu. I ordered fries and chicken bites, while my friend got the Caesar salad. The fries were mostly tiny broken pieces rather than full slices — not the worst thing, but a bit disappointing. The chicken bites were bland, and the Caesar salad didn’t look very appealing. The food was initially delivered to the wrong table, but otherwise, everything arrived without too much delay. Second visit: This time I came earlier and got to try the tuna sandwich. It was actually good — great bread and an interesting touch with the apple. However, I asked for tap water and was brought water with lemon and mint, which ended up on the bill. It wasn’t bad, just not what I ordered. Drinks were also served noticeably after the food. Service (both times): Long wait for drinks, long wait for the printed receipt — and during the second visit, the receipt never came at all after paying by card. The café is in a convenient location near the Amsterdamse Bos with a nice view, but overall the experience was mixed.

I had a rather unpleasant experience here. It was an extremely hot day today (+31 degrees). Myself and some friends had ordered drinks and food. It was so hot that some of my party were over heating. En route to the bathroom I approach the bar staff to kindly ask them if I could have a glass of water with some ice. One of the staff said yes of course before being interjected by an extremely unpleasant and arrogant member of staff. He quite literally laughed and said we don’t do ice unless you’re paying for another drink. I said we had ordered several drinks. He laughed and said no, along with a few other arrogant colleagues. It was highly disrespectful and unpleasant in tone. I later asked another member of staff, please could I order some water with ice. They were less rude, but panicked and said they had run out. The way I was treated was appealing. The drinks wee river priced. The atmosphere was unpleasant. Revolting experience. All because I asked for some water!?

A bit of a chilly restaurant in a beautiful location

I fear that I will unfortunately write a negative review. Let me first start positively, the waiter often walks by, so you won't be left with an empty glass for long. Delivery is also fast, so great! But... if you want a positive experience. Don't order a flat iron steak here. My goodness. If you don't know how to prepare something like this, make sure you know or don't start. I literally asked the waitress if I could have my steak rare. She said that wasn't possible and I could only choose between medium-rare or well done. I thought that was so strange that I asked why that was. The playful answer was: "That's easier for the kitchen." I reluctantly agreed to the medium rare, and it ended up on my plate like a completely overcooked shoe sole. Extremely sad of course. So if you want a pleasant experience here, invest that €29 in something else!

Had memorial meeting after death. Very pleasant service and pleasant approach under sad circumstances. Satisfied with all contact and with the service.

Had a drink with colleagues, upstairs in the room ... first impression was an old, decaying piece of what was once beautiful, furniture that had been thrown together and the cracks in the walls ... but the worst was the quality of the food, not really tasteful and certainly not the ice cream afterwards ... 3.75 euros for a mini magnum ??? It wasn't even a magnum but a cheap version of it that is supposed to look similar... how dare you sell it like a magnum????

Was waiting for the order 1,5 hour just to hear that the bread that was ordered for food was considered a “starter” and so the waiter was waiting for us to finish it before bringing food. Rude service, eatable food. No training for student waiters, so come prepared

Super nice place, nice to take a walk and then have something to eat or drink. The only thing that is less is the portion size of the fried cauliflower.. 8.50 for 6 very small pieces of cauliflower, that could be better but otherwise top

We had a delicious (also vegetarian) meal on the busy terrace after having had coffee on the same terrace earlier in the day. Beautiful view over the water and the green of the forest. Pleasantly helped by friendly staff.

We waited over 15 minutes to place our order. Another table next to us was served faster. There is an immediate atmosphere of chaos in the place. Ultimately, we left the restaurant without ordering.

Great place for a tasty (gluten-free) snack or drink. Good and friendly staff and just take paid parking into account. Called in advance for gluten free bread and this was no problem.

The view of the forest track is fantastic, the latte is excellent and the service is friendly. Always a nice sun.

Excellent food. The vegan croquettes were just a bit too sticky. Furthermore, the atmosphere and service are excellent.

At 5 pm we could only order fried things! And the wine glasses are actually sherry glasses. Absurdly small for wine and not only unpleasant to drink but also very expensive because 2 sips and the glass is empty. Herman would never have advised den Blijker! Disappointing experience as we actually came to eat.

Nice place with friendly service, beautiful view even on a foggy day. Tasty vegetarian options on the menu. Dishes on the expensive side but very tasty. Operation/service sometimes takes a long time, especially when it is busy, but the staff are very friendly people who also think along with customers when it comes to special requests!

Nice place, but the food was too expensive for what it was. Mushroom soup with just mushrooms and a small mushroom and not that much flavor. A good place for a coffee or something.

We had a nice lunch before moving on to another activity. Pleasant crowds, staff could be a little friendlier, but otherwise fine!
