Loetje is always a great place to eat a delicious steak.

Great lunch menu, good wine and service!

Why the steak is cut is a mystery (to check doneness?). And 10 minutes between the starter and main course is really too short. Enjoying a pleasant meal becomes a challenge then. And what a racket with all those children at 8:30 PM. Maybe a time slot between 5 PM and 7 PM for families with kids?

The food was very good as usual. We reserved well ahead of time for 4 people. After being seated, we were asked to move to another table because they were expecting a disabled person. No problem. Unfortunately it was for a larger group and didn't seem for the reason we were asked to move. We were moved to 2 small round tables in what to us felt like a punishment corner, it was definitely a forgotten corner. It was also very difficult to converse being at another table. After receiving our meals, no one asked how it was or if we needed anything else. We were asked while they cleaned the table if we wanted dessert or coffee. Very disappointed in the service. Unfortunately this was not the first time.

There were three of us, and we were already somewhat advanced in age. The only comment we have is that the music in the room where we were sitting could have been a lot softer.

As is known, we had another wonderful evening, with the food and the atmosphere.

Beautiful weather by the Amstel, eating outside, and with the AH coupon it is worth the price.

We had tried Loetje in Amsterdam, opposite the train station, and wanted to experience the original. We weren't disappointed; the meat was perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly. The fries were delicious. We had a great time.

Loetje is no longer the Loetje of the past. It is becoming more and more of a mass affair, but that is to be expected now that it is becoming such a large chain... The service generally makes dining out less of a treat. It is all rushed, rushed, rushed, not really friendly, sometimes bordering on grumpy if you need another 2 minutes. The overall atmosphere on the terrace was pleasant among the guests, but it was clear that more people were having trouble with the service. A shame, but for now we will skip Loetje in the hope that things improve.

We had a delicious meal, the service was very professional, and the turnaround times for service, drinks, and food were good. We sat on the back terrace with 5 people. One or two tables for this group size (families) would be absolutely perfect; think, for example, of a round table. In general: simply top-notch service and food.

The credit card was not accepted several times, and when it was, the payment went from 160 to 190. So, a new attempt, and then I really looked at the receipt. It wasn't for our table (2 people without alcoholic drinks); the receipt listed multiple alcoholic drinks. Eventually, of course, we received the correct receipt and paid.

We love coming here! We enjoy being served by Mike, and the other colleagues are just as enthusiastic. It is always a treat, both inside and out, for lunch and dinner!

The food is always top-notch! Especially the steak. I had the sole fried in butter myself. The terrace cannot be reserved, but if you arrive early, you can always find a spot outside by the Amstel.

These two small pieces, medium to well done, are sold as 200g medium rare.

Had coffee on the terrace. It was disappointing; too cold, and I suspect from a ready-made machine? It didn't look like barista coffee and didn't taste like it either. The price of 3.90 euros was reasonable. Had a nice piece of nougat with it! Service excellent and friendly! The terrace is beautiful by the water; just a nice spot. Toilets very clean and well-maintained. The menu looks well-varied.

Great, the interior looks good and it is all very spacious (there is little room to move around). The steak is amazing, so the reviews speak for themselves! Tip: don't go to this Loetje if Ajax is playing that evening, as it gets incredibly crowded.

We had to wait nearly forty-five minutes before someone came to take our order. Then our drinks were forgotten. Incidentally, this is not the first time we have ordered drinks that were subsequently not brought. While taking the order, I was also not asked how I wanted my steak cooked. In the end, I received a well-done steak, even though that was not my preference. It is a shame, because this made the overall experience quite disappointing.

It was pleasantly busy on the terrace with many fellow Ajax fans. However, the waitress didn't seem to be in the mood for that; she was grumpy and curt. The food was fine; despite the crowds, it was served very quickly.

Everything was great. It was just a real shame that smoking is apparently allowed outside on the terrace. And we were just unlucky enough that a mother with children sat down next to us and was smoking constantly.. That really spoiled our dining experience..

It's a bit unpleasant to smell the cigarette smoke. The waiter brought our drinks on a tray with dirty glasses and an empty bottle. The staff isn't very friendly or welcoming.

Pricey for what you get. You don't go here to eat because you want something special. I found my steak in the salad just a little too dry, and the salad itself wasn't special. But the place is nice and the atmosphere is okay.

I know that prices are going up everywhere, but I do think that Loetje has reached its limit at the moment.

It's a real shame that the roast beef carpaccio is off the menu, but the beef carpaccio was tasty too! For the main course, of course, the steak, the Garlic Bali XL😋😋 you really have to try this at Loetje at least once! Furthermore, the fries are always good and the service is very friendly!

We ate outside at the Harbor of Huizen with 4 people. We also arrived there by boat. Nice setting outside like that.

We have been coming to Loetje Ouderkerk for years. The food was delicious again and the service very friendly. It was great again.

We think Loetje Ouderkerk ad Amstel is the coziest. It has all become very expensive, though. The quality has always remained the same, so it's great.

Delicious steak with gravy and sweet potato fries

I go here occasionally with colleagues from abroad (office in Amstelveen). The food is always good and the service nice. The Americans appreciated it and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat.

No, it's not as good as it used to be... but yes, it is still a good place to have a very good steak. Consistent service and great sweet potato fries!

The food had cooled down slightly. It should have been served sooner. It stood for too long before being served.

Great experience, the food was tasty, and the service was good. What I found disappointing was the two smaller pieces of steak instead of one larger one. This really affects the cooking; it was too well done, even though I had ordered medium rare. This was no coincidence, as three of us had the same experience.

The restaurant is atmospheric inside, despite its size. The back garden with terrace, on the other hand, is soulless/shabby, with a view of a parking lot. The terrace at the front/across the street, however, is wonderfully nice. It is situated by the water, the Amstel. Very cozy and attractive!

First of all, the food was delicious as always, but we did feel that the waitress was in a great hurry; my husband was still looking at the menu when she came over to ask if we had made our choice. He hadn't chosen an appetizer yet and therefore hadn't ordered a starter. She also didn't ask if we wanted to start with an appetizer. At another table, we saw her clearing the tables with the dessert menu already under her arm. Waiting isn't fun, but this went really fast.

In principle, I enjoyed my meal, but the fries were super salty. When I mentioned this to the wait staff, the girl said she couldn't imagine that. According to her, no one had ever complained about it. I didn't think it was a very diplomatic answer. She should have said that she would pass it on to the kitchen. Then I would have felt heard. I told her that it is better to put very little salt on the food, as it can't be removed, but you can add salt to taste yourself. Moreover, many older people need to eat low-salt or salt-free.

It was just fine.. Service always friendly, I can't fault that. My girlfriend called around 4 PM to make a reservation, but they were fully booked for today. When we checked online for other times, there were still plenty of time slots available; that was a bit odd. Kind regards, Kelly

Lovely spot on the Amstel and a very good one if you want to grab a bite to eat before a concert at the Arena/Ziggo/Afas.

It's a shame they were making such a racket on the other side.

I've been to Eindhoven before, but here on the Amstel it was just as perfect. I had a bite to eat here with my daughter before a concert. Super friendly host and colleagues. They have a good overview and work well together. The food was delicious and quick, and with a friendly smile in our pockets, we went to enjoy ourselves in the Arena. Thank you, Loetje a/d Amstel!

Steak from Loetje is always delicious. To date, I have never received a bad one (with, for example, sinew). Today I sat in the bar area, and my partner also thought it was a cozy spot to sit. There is always a friendly person there with whom we can have a nice conversation.

Still recovering from the disappointment. I'm no longer a meat eater myself, but I whetted my dining companion's appetite with a story about the delicious steak and fries at Loetje, with the first location still fresh in his memory. What an overpriced gluttony this has become!!! Charging extra for everything and then serving well-done steak in burnt margarine, triple-fried greasy salty sweet potato fries, the veggie burger for me; tasteless white bread with a sticky mess of beetroot in between and factory sauces, add a lemonade and you're out 75. We mentioned it politely, but it didn't seem to bother them. I never write negative reviews, but it should be clear by now that Loetje has become a sort of McDonald's chain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our steak on the terrace overlooking the Amstel. And with this weather—fortunately under the parasol—and a delicious piece of meat, it was a delight to eat there.

Deeply disappointed with the service we experienced as a group of three. It started with having to ask for an extra set of cutlery because we were seated at a table for two, even though there were three of us. Next, we had to wait an incredibly long time for our drinks. (We had asked for 3 green iced teas) it was very hot outside due to the heatwave of the past few days and there was no air conditioning inside. We were told that it was very busy at the bar. With our steaks and the infamous gravy, we received 2 pieces of bread... there were three of us. When we asked for more bread, it was irritably slammed onto our table. Ordering more drinks, or asking for mayonnaise which they hadn't provided with our fries, the waiter didn't have time for that... Incidentally, while in the full bowl of fries, we discovered that the mayonnaise was actually present at the bottom of the bowl. Very inconvenient because the bowl was already almost empty. By the way, I would not recommend ordering the salad as a side dish. What was supposed to provide some refreshment was one sour bomb due to the amount of mustard sauce that was slumped over it. When clearing the plates and cleaning our table, one person was simply tapped with an arm, elbow, or hand. That is really unnecessary > find some space. The only positive thing was the delicious tenderloin steak. We enjoyed that very much. But you pay top dollar for it. Of course, that isn't a bad thing, but then you really expect to experience good service with it, and not what we experienced yesterday... Long story short, I advise, especially on a busy Saturday night, to look for another "Loetje" location and make a reservation there if you are in the mood for the infamous tenderloin steak. We will not be coming back here.

Always a fine and cozy restaurant. The quality is good but not very special. Pricey. In my opinion, some staff members could be a bit friendlier, for instance upon arrival. Table service was good and pleasant.

Loetje remains Loetje: good food, friendly service, but this time the visit started with a major setback. Because it was code red due to the extreme heat, I had called ahead to check if air conditioning was available. The chatbot confirmed that climate control was in place and even indicated that our request for a cool spot would be passed on. That sounded promising. However, upon arrival, it turned out that the air conditioning was defective. As a result, it was unpleasantly warm inside—actually too hot to eat in a relaxed manner. A shame, because this was exactly what I had wanted to avoid beforehand. Fortunately, we were able to move outside, where it was better at first and later even lovely to sit. From that moment on, the evening took a turn. The food was as you would expect from Loetje: simply good. The coffee afterwards with cheesecake was a perfect ending: really tasty. Despite the heat-related failure at the start, I will definitely be back. The kitchen remains strong, the atmosphere outside was great, and the service did its best given the circumstances.

Today, 25/6, was excellent, in contrast to yesterday, 24/6. Initially, we were served by Mike. This was very poor. He did not accept that the tuna was not red and advised us to go to a more expensive place instead. Particularly disappointing!

The food was just lunch, but very good. Service excellent, nice staff. The atmosphere on the terrace by the water was simply lovely in the shade with a light breeze.

I regularly visit Loetje when I am in A'veen-always on top level - both meals & service

I have never been treated so outrageously. I was charged 600 euros too much, which I could only get back after the weekend. After an argument in which the waiter (Mark) involved the entire terrace, he knocked the phone out of the hand of someone in my party. Truly unbelievable.
