Wow, out of the box! When you're 67 one moment and Peter Pan comes out the next 😍 amazing! Friendly staff, the food is veggie and tasty, every room has been decorated by a different artist, they also used repurposed materials, and there is art everywhere.

The staff is more than willing and friendly. Lynches are completely vegetarian/vegan and products from Instock: rescued food. All fantastic. The spaces are filled with all kinds of different types of art or also ‘found’ materials. It is a hodgepodge. I don't need a super-styled place at all, but this ‘hodgepodge’ creates a restless atmosphere which isn't very pleasant for working with groups.

The stay was great, the room surprising, and the staff friendly. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening. That also featured surprising dishes, different from what we are used to. The dishes were good and beautifully presented. They were a bit spicy, though, so you couldn't really taste the vegetables. You will also need to order multiple dishes to feel satisfied. Not 3 courses, but 4 or 5 😄

Become the place where truly sustainable innovations take place. Show where your food comes from. Plant a tree for every 1,000th guest, for example. Guests simply want to be part of the concept. Had a really delicious meal! Helpful advice from the wait staff.

We had made a reservation for 6:00 PM, and I finally didn't ask for the bill until 9:45 PM. That is really way too long. The entire evening felt like waiting, waiting, and more waiting. The service was inconsistent: some staff members were friendly and attentive, while others seemed less engaged. At several moments, we felt like we were literally being looked over, as if we weren't even there. It sometimes gave the impression that you just had to fend for yourself. For example, glasses ordered at the start remained on the table until the end. The question of whether everything was to our liking was asked several times, but that could have been nicely combined with clearing empty glasses and plates. Additionally, we were seated next to a couple with a young child who was constantly running around, jumping, and being very loud. Of course, that can happen, but when parents don't intervene themselves, the staff should really say something about it or at least try to manage the situation. Instead, it was mostly just stared at and laughed at. When we indicated that the food was taking a very long time to arrive, the response we received was that it was “very busy.” Understandable, but that should not be an excuse. Especially on busy weekends, you expect sufficient staff to be present or for work to be done more efficiently. It was noticeable that staff often made short rounds to clear one or two plates, whereas this could be done more efficiently by using trays. We also regularly saw employees standing and talking to each other or to guests for extended periods. Of course, that is allowed, but it was striking how often and for how long this happened. Furthermore, there was always a gap of about 30 to 45 minutes between courses. That is really on the long side, especially considering the number of tables and the number of staff members present. Ultimately, the hospitality industry is about teamwork, working efficiently, and maintaining a good pace. Unfortunately, that was lacking here. That being said: the food itself was very tasty and flavorful. The surroundings are also beautiful, both inside and out, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. That is precisely why it is a shame that the service and organization lagged so far behind. With a bit more attention to structure, attentiveness, efficiency, and communication, this place would truly be a lot more pleasant. As a tip: it might help to use timers per table in the POS system (if this is not currently the case). For example, when a certain waiting time is exceeded, this could become visible to the kitchen and service staff, making it clear where extra attention is needed at that moment. During our visit, guests who arrived later received their courses earlier due to our designated spot and finished sooner, which resulted in a somewhat chaotic flow. Justification for 3 stars: 2 stars for taste and presentation and 1 star for the surroundings and atmosphere; unfortunately, no score was given for the staff and service, as these were substandard.

Disappointing that they aren not wheelchair or baby stroller accessible. For a place that is so "inclusive" and "love all", thats a big disappointment. Also, if you have never been there, finding the place is tricky. But the food is good I must say!

Pros: good atmosphere, an alternative and inspiring interior, and generally friendly staff. Then the cons: many photos and reviews here are from the old location, not the new one. You're assigned a table without a choice, even if you've made a reservation, arrive early, and there are plenty of free spots. The explanation about the recommended tasting menu for two was unclear: we were told we'd get five courses, but it ended up being four, the size of tapas-sized bites. The "dessert" is served without asking what you want, while you're randomly given whatever is on the menu, which does have more options. We waited about half an hour between the second and third "course," and in total, we spent about two hours for three "courses" plus dessert. The vegan "pork bacon" made with mushrooms was so tough that we literally couldn't eat it and left it because it was inedible. We mentioned this to two waiters when we asked, but nothing further was done about it other than a thank you for letting us know. I couldn't digest it all properly afterwards either. The fries were also very greasy. The head waiter, who was otherwise okay, however (despite our repeated polite refusals) insisted a bit too often on getting us fries (...) to compensate for the pork belly. This happened even though we had long since finished eating, had even paid, and were about to leave, so frankly, it wasn't entirely clear whether it was rude or simply derogatory. The tables for two are far too small for bistro tables, cutlery didn't stay on the table, you can't place your phone, and they're more suitable for a cup of coffee. The same goes for the plates, which are actually dessert plates that serve three "courses." Cash payments were refused. All in all for two: €83 for a few fries, a few small portions/dessert, and water. A carafe of water is offered, but you pay for it afterward. All in all, I give it a 5.5, or a meager pass mark. We might come back for the terrace, but dining here was our first and last time. Finally: the (road to the) parking lot about 200 meters further on behind the trees is completely secluded and very poorly lit at night. There's no social control there, and it's completely unsafe, especially at night.

De Groene Afslag is a wonderful food and visual adventure My spouse and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We love going out and travelling for vegan food. The Groene Afslag is such a fantastic experience, not only because of the amazing food, but the visual joy of the environment, and the wonderful staff. Walking into the structure, one knows immediately that one is entering a new experience. The visual stimuli is amazing, sculptures and other art works around the building. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, interestingly cozy even though a large space. We had the chef’s tasting menu and everything was so delicious. It consists of multiple courses and a dessert. We especially loved the Mush belly, a delicious mushroom dish that was innovative and imaginative. These two descriptors truly apply to all the food, the concept of the place, and the environment. This is a wonderful place and has the highest recommendation possible.

A surprisingly lovely location, a surprisingly lovely eclectic decor, surprisingly friendly staff, and a surprisingly good menu. The menu was a great way to sample and experience everything. What a pleasure to finally be able to enjoy a good, delicious meal in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we weren't very satisfied with this restaurant. We had a chef's menu for five people. It took a long time to get our dishes, and the portions were far too small. One of us practically shouted across the table to ask if we could leave her some more while we were serving a spoon. I think that speaks volumes. We therefore had to order three more fries. It was also clear that the celeriac carpaccio came from the freezer, it was so cold. The flavors of the dishes we received were mediocre. The restaurant presents itself as fancy and exudes quality, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The price-quality ratio was therefore not good.

Sat there for 20 minutes, still no help. But I got up and left.

Finding tasty plant-based food in the Gooi region is quite a challenge. Fortunately, De Groene Afslag has reopened its doors. Friendly staff, delicious food—pricey desserts, sure—but a beautifully varied menu in a lovely, inspiring spot. Never want to leave!!!

Last night I had the daily special at De Groene Afslag again. So delicious! I've forgotten the name of the Lebanese (?) sous chef, but it's so nice to see how much love and attention he puts into the daily special. If you're lucky, he'll come by while serving to explain it to you or afterward to ask if you enjoyed it. Highly recommended! The restaurant was packed! De Groene Afslag is a fantastic place full of creativity and energy!

My team and I rented something here for a day, and the way we were treated was bizarre... The staff was extremely arrogant and unwilling to help. There were also multiple communication errors, which meant we didn't even have the right room. Never again!

It takes a bit of searching, but you'll eventually find a vegetarian gem. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it's pleasantly busy with other guests. A deluxe menu, a bottle of wine, and water. The service seemed fast-paced at first, but things calmed down after the appetizer. The service was extremely friendly. The bill for 4 people was €215. Excellent.

Also at their new location the groene afslag remains the coolest place to work, enjoy, play, relax and drink coffee! Terras outside, interior exciting and surprising. Prices fair, all food and drinks eco, vegetable and as local as possible. What an invention! Come and have a look!

A truly surprising evening. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent; we (6 people) had a delicious tasting session with many different tasty dishes. In short: an unexpectedly lovely place with many unique features and sustainable in every way. Getting there (in the twilight) was tricky if you'd never been before. The directions at the exit were quite good, but from the parking lot, it was vague and difficult to find. What was the restaurant? Hard to see! We will definitely be back and will tell others about our nice experience!

Tonight, we enjoyed a delicious surprise tasting from the chef at the new Groene Afslag. Beautiful shared dining dishes that were also very tasty. The building is also unique and tastefully decorated with all kinds of recycled materials. Creative atmosphere. Pleasant service from the staff. Good Chardonnay and also tasty non-alcoholic beers. Everything is completely plant-based, but we didn't miss the meat or fish for a moment. Definitely worth a return visit!

Wow, what a special place they've created here. Literally every piece of furniture is recycled/recycled/waste. So much inspiration, so much art. Beautiful rooms. An hour spent browsing here is better than a day at a museum. Oh yeah, and the food is absolutely delicious.

The concept and ambiance are nice. It's good that they have a separate kids' corner. There are a few areas for improvement regarding food and drinks. The coffee (latte macchiato) wasn't great. At 11:00 AM, there was no longer an option to get a small snack from the "breakfast menu," but there was one from the lunch menu. It wasn't listed on the menu either. We were eventually able to get a leftover croissant, but without butter because they didn't have any!?? After our first cup of coffee, no one came by to ask if we wanted another drink, even though there were plenty of staff at the bar. It's a nice place, but it could be better.

We enjoyed a whole evening of delicious, beautiful and plant-based dishes, in a cozy, inspiring environment, what more could you want?

A new location in a beautiful spot in an old office building. The somewhat unusual entrance makes this clear. Most shared dining dishes are €14 each, quite pricey but worth it. They're all fresh, plant-based, and offer original combinations. Unfortunately, they haven't really considered allergies (most dishes contain either peanuts, hazelnuts, or wheat (but thankfully no cow's milk, as everything is plant-based!). The staff is young and inexperienced. So, there's still room for improvement, but that will undoubtedly improve, and then it will be a great addition.

The meeting rooms and restaurant are more spacious and brighter, making their unique, creative, and playful design even more appealing. Ik zou samen met iemand langs komen voor borrel en live muziek, en heb toen toch vooraf de barbecue gereserveerd. Helaas was mijn gezelschap verhinderd én de live muziek had afgezegd, maar er was een dj die erg goed draaide dus ik besloot alleen aan te sluiten voor de barbecue. En dat was géén verkeerde keuze! Ik heb heerlijk gegeten, 3x opgeschept... Heerlijk brood met smeersels, een overvloed aan heerlijke groenten van de barbecue en superlekkere salades. Van de barbecue heb ik tahu, tempeh, artisjok, bloemkool, zoete aardappel, diverse paddenstoelen, courgette en aubergine gegeten, allemaal lekker bereid. Het personeel was ook heel vriendelijk en attent. Ik heb genoten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar op de nieuwe locatie!

I was going to come with someone for drinks and live music, so I made a reservation for the barbecue in advance. Unfortunately, my group couldn't make it and the live music had canceled, but there was a DJ playing really well, so I decided to join them for the barbecue alone. And it was a great choice! I had a delicious meal, three helpings of food... Delicious bread with spreads, an abundance of delicious barbecued vegetables, and super tasty salads. From the barbecue, I had tofu, tempeh, artichoke, cauliflower, sweet potato, various mushrooms, zucchini, and eggplant, all beautifully prepared. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed it. Definitely worth coming back at the new location!

Super nice place, nice for the kids and nice to sit. Nice food also eaten delicious carrot cake before. Unfortunately we are respiratory patients, the BBQ is wood-fired which makes the area very smoky when the BBQ is on. In any case, wood smoke is not healthy for anyone. We got sick from it.
