This is a place where EVERYTHING is perfect. Delicious vegan dishes. Service with eye contact, no iPad required, and a smile. And a toilet that Rutte sat on. The best and most fun in a long time. Hats off.

We had a delicious meal, shared a few drinks. An exceptionally friendly welcome, with lovely and kind staff. Impressive artwork and decor. We enjoyed alcohol-free bubbles. Afterwards, we stayed in the Spoon Room. Wonderful beds and a beautiful view of the forest. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast again in the morning. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely place! A very spacious restaurant, delicious food, beautiful sights to see, friendly staff, and dogs welcome—it's such a lovely spot after a walk in the heath. My go-to place every weekend.

A truly interesting and vegan experience, with thoughtfully prepared dishes at very reasonable prices. The setting is exceptional, blending recycled materials with an art exhibition in a former office building. The staff is incredibly friendly. Eating delicious plant-based food in the Gooi region is quite a challenge. Fortunately, De Groene Afslag has reopened its doors. Friendly staff, delicious food, pricey desserts, yes, but a beautifully varied menu in a wonderfully inspiring location. Never leaving again!!!

Last night I had the daily special at De Groene Afslag again. So delicious! I've forgotten the name of the Lebanese (?) sous chef, but it's so nice to see how much love and attention he puts into the daily special. If you're lucky, he'll come by while serving to explain it to you or afterward to ask if you enjoyed it. Highly recommended! The restaurant was packed! De Groene Afslag is a fantastic place full of creativity and energy!

Delicious food! It's always nice when vegetarian dishes are elevated. Lovely atmosphere and interior!

My team and I rented something here for a day, and the way we were treated was bizarre... The staff was extremely arrogant and unwilling to help. There were also multiple communication errors, which meant we didn't even have the right room. Never again!

It takes a bit of searching, but you'll eventually find a vegetarian gem. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it's pleasantly busy with other guests. A deluxe menu, a bottle of wine, and water. The service seemed fast-paced at first, but things calmed down after the appetizer. The service was extremely friendly. The bill for 4 people was €215. Excellent.

Also at their new location the groene afslag remains the coolest place to work, enjoy, play, relax and drink coffee! Terras outside, interior exciting and surprising. Prices fair, all food and drinks eco, vegetable and as local as possible. What an invention! Come and have a look!

Nice place, everything well taken care of

A truly surprising evening. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent; we (6 people) had a delicious tasting session with many different tasty dishes. In short: an unexpectedly lovely place with many unique features and sustainable in every way. Getting there (in the twilight) was tricky if you'd never been before. The directions at the exit were quite good, but from the parking lot, it was vague and difficult to find. What was the restaurant? Hard to see! We will definitely be back and will tell others about our nice experience!

Tonight, we enjoyed a delicious surprise tasting from the chef at the new Groene Afslag. Beautiful shared dining dishes that were also very tasty. The building is also unique and tastefully decorated with all kinds of recycled materials. Creative atmosphere. Pleasant service from the staff. Good Chardonnay and also tasty non-alcoholic beers. Everything is completely plant-based, but we didn't miss the meat or fish for a moment. Definitely worth a return visit!

Delicious food and drinks in a charming, artistic setting. The staff could be a bit more proactive and responsive, but that doesn't spoil the fun. Almost everyone on the staff is very friendly.

I was afraid to move to the Gooi because everything seemed so samey-fairy. But then I discovered De Groene Afslag… It offered creativity, fresh thinking, delicious food and drinks, and inspiration. I come here at least once a month with my family to enjoy each other's company. Highly recommended! A bit of Amsterdam in the countryside.

Wow, what a special place they've created here. Literally every piece of furniture is recycled/recycled/waste. So much inspiration, so much art. Beautiful rooms. An hour spent browsing here is better than a day at a museum. Oh yeah, and the food is absolutely delicious.

The concept and ambiance are nice. It's good that they have a separate kids' corner. There are a few areas for improvement regarding food and drinks. The coffee (latte macchiato) wasn't great. At 11:00 AM, there was no longer an option to get a small snack from the "breakfast menu," but there was one from the lunch menu. It wasn't listed on the menu either. We were eventually able to get a leftover croissant, but without butter because they didn't have any!?? After our first cup of coffee, no one came by to ask if we wanted another drink, even though there were plenty of staff at the bar. It's a nice place, but it could be better.

We enjoyed a whole evening of delicious, beautiful and plant-based dishes, in a cozy, inspiring environment, what more could you want?

The first lunch at the new location was delicious and convivial. The acoustics were excellent, allowing everyone at the long table to be heard clearly. The decor has the same humorous twist as the old location.

A new location in a beautiful spot in an old office building. The somewhat unusual entrance makes this clear. Most shared dining dishes are €14 each, quite pricey but worth it. They're all fresh, plant-based, and offer original combinations. Unfortunately, they haven't really considered allergies (most dishes contain either peanuts, hazelnuts, or wheat (but thankfully no cow's milk, as everything is plant-based!). The staff is young and inexperienced. So, there's still room for improvement, but that will undoubtedly improve, and then it will be a great addition.

A friendly welcome in the "new" building; the waitress was really excited that we were choosing the surprise menu. We had a delicious meal, and the final appetizers and dessert were brought by the chef, who also radiated enthusiasm. A wonderful experience! We wish we had taken photos for the review because everything looked absolutely beautiful!

De Groene Afslag opened this week at its new location. A tour of the building is an absolute must! The meeting rooms and restaurant are more spacious and brighter, making their unique, creative, and playful design even more appealing. This is a place you'll want to meet with your colleagues and build your team! The menu is creative and flavorful, with the Chef's Menu a definite must! I'll be back soon.

A truly inspiring place. Things could be different. Things could be better. More fun. More connected. After the move, it's become even more awesome. Go see it! We had a wonderful dinner, delicious wines. It's also great, alcohol-free. A true asset to Bussum and the region!

Ik zou samen met iemand langs komen voor borrel en live muziek, en heb toen toch vooraf de barbecue gereserveerd. Helaas was mijn gezelschap verhinderd én de live muziek had afgezegd, maar er was een dj die erg goed draaide dus ik besloot alleen aan te sluiten voor de barbecue. En dat was géén verkeerde keuze! Ik heb heerlijk gegeten, 3x opgeschept... Heerlijk brood met smeersels, een overvloed aan heerlijke groenten van de barbecue en superlekkere salades. Van de barbecue heb ik tahu, tempeh, artisjok, bloemkool, zoete aardappel, diverse paddenstoelen, courgette en aubergine gegeten, allemaal lekker bereid. Het personeel was ook heel vriendelijk en attent. Ik heb genoten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar op de nieuwe locatie!

I was going to come with someone for drinks and live music, so I made a reservation for the barbecue in advance. Unfortunately, my group couldn't make it and the live music had canceled, but there was a DJ playing really well, so I decided to join them for the barbecue alone. And it was a great choice! I had a delicious meal, three helpings of food... Delicious bread with spreads, an abundance of delicious barbecued vegetables, and super tasty salads. From the barbecue, I had tofu, tempeh, artichoke, cauliflower, sweet potato, various mushrooms, zucchini, and eggplant, all beautifully prepared. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed it. Definitely worth coming back at the new location!

We thoroughly enjoyed the plant-based BBQ at De Groene Afslag with our entire group. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail: delicious and surprising food, a great atmosphere and pleasant music in the background. The dishes were tasty, colourful and clearly prepared with love. The combination of good food, relaxed setting and warm hospitality makes it a party to be here every time. Super nice place, nice for the kids and nice to sit. Nice food also eaten delicious carrot cake before. Unfortunately we are respiratory patients, the BBQ is wood-fired which makes the area very smoky when the BBQ is on. In any case, wood smoke is not healthy for anyone. We got sick from it.

Man met lang haar was erg onvriendelijk. Hij ging in discussie met ons en weigerde klant is koning. Ik kom hier nooit meer terug.

Special restaurant, never seen anything like it before. Also beautiful surroundings and garden/terrace. Varied menu. Tom kha soup and tempeh sandwich were very tasty. Pistachio pastry and cauliflower wings also tasty. Friendly staff, it went smoothly in the beginning and we were asked if it was to your liking. But after the 1st course and drinks, no one came to ask anything for a long time, so we asked for the menu again and placed the order at the bar. Had to wait a long time for that too. Afterwards we stayed seated and were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I thought that was a shame.

What a wonderful evening! After a friendly welcome, many different dishes were served to us throughout the evening, with a genuine smile. A good amount of food, so much so that we couldn't finish it and went home with a doggie bag. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again!

Wat een heerlijke avond! Na een vriendelijk ontvangst werd ons door de avond heen veel verschillende gerechten, met een oprechte glimlach, op tafel geplaatst. Een goeie hoeveelheid eten, zelfs zo dat we het niet op kregen en met een doggiebag naar huis zijn gegaan. Absolute aanrader en we komen zeker nog een keer langs!

Lovely place to sit, but unfortunately worst service I experienced in a long time. When entering to order for the first time, I was told to just find a table and wait for someone to come take my order. I didn't mind the wait, since it's a beautiful place. But when going in for the second time about 30 min later, I was told that the kitchen had just closed... Accordingly, I can't judge the quality of the food.

Lunch bij de Groene Afslag, een fijne en bijzondere ervaring. Zeer behulpzaam personeel, een onverwachts mooi terras in het groen en het eten is heerlijk. Bijvoorbeeld een combinatie van een soep en een heerlijk broodje (wisselende kaart maar altijd lekker), heerlijke taarten en biologisch verantwoorde producten. Naast gewone genietende lunchgasten veel zakelijke creatieven, wat de vibe in het restaurant bruisend maakt. (laptops moeten wel dicht tussen 12 en 14) Het restaurant is inspirerend ingericht, vol vintage meubilair, let bv op de mooie bar. Geen doorsnee lunchlocatie, een beetje gek maar daarom minder tuttig dan andere Gooische adressen. Ga kijken en proeven bij deze groene parel. Een aanrader!

Super nice artistic place for a lunch or business meeting.

My husband is often on the road for work. He often doesn't have time to eat, so I look for a nice place online. I also look at the photos to see if it suits his taste. Not too Blaricum-fancy-fidgety. It's just lunch. The men found the map very limited at first glance. But when the vegan concept became clear, the penny dropped. I hadn't read the reviews. Oops, I send real meat eaters to a vegetarian place. And yet, the burger was well received. Everything tasted good. In the end it wasn't disappointing.

There is a nice, somewhat alternative atmosphere here. Nice staff, tasty cappuccino. In winter it looks a bit desolate from the outside, but once inside that feeling immediately disappears.

Nice alternative restaurant with organic and vegan dishes. I haven't ordered any dishes from the menu yet because I arrived at 4:50 PM. I was allowed to order samosas from the drinks menu, served with a chutney that was quite tasty but in my opinion could have used a little more salt and perhaps some spiciness. Nice glass of white wine, one type so easy choice. Nice, special atmosphere and located near the forest where you can enjoy a nice walk.

Lovely place in the woods. I went there to have a cup of coffee while working for a few hours. Their staff is friendly and the cappuccino with oat milk was delicious. The atmosphere of the place is really different and very nice. Sorry for not posting any photos this time.

My most favorite hang out in the region!! It's sustainable, creative, inclusive. There's tons of good food and good coffee (with plant-based milk). Summer afternoons on the forest terrace or winter drinks indoors, I love it all! Ps: make sure to check out the awesome bathrooms! Way to go team Groene Afslag, please continue being an example and inspiration for us all!

Kwam hier op 8-12-23 met 2 kids van 2 jaar die lekker konden spelen, want de speelhoek is hartstikke leuk! Die reuze dino maakte indruk! Maar kennelijk zijn er kantoorplekken recht boven de speelhoek. Dus ons werd 2x verzocht de kids wat ‘stiller’ te houden. Maar wat verwacht je als je een speelhoek neerzet? Dat kids in een lotus houding een mini retraite organiseren? Verder prima bitterballen

Een top plek. Lekker eten. Maar de chocolade taart is een slechte keuze.. ziet er mooi uit, maar heeft weinig met chocolade te maken.

A really cute place to slow down and relax. Beautiful nature, interesting spaces and food all maintaining a sustainable environment... We went with university to learn a bit more.. we were welcomed by a creative space full of information, cold and hot beverages and a incredibly big vegan lunch! (Pasta, salads, soup and toasts!) Had an amazing time at the place but also walking around the surrounding nature!
