Food was straight up bad, I went with someone else and we both chose the pork tenderloin. Expensive (€30pp) and super dry. Very unsatisfied. The dessert was fine since you can’t really mess up 2 scoops of vanilla icecream.

The food and service were super👌👌 and everything was cleaned up neatly after the meal.

Had a great lunch here! We had croquettes on bread, a carpaccio sandwich, and a brie toastie. Everything was tasty and well prepared. The croquettes were a normal portion, but the bread was delicious and the fresh salad on the side completed the meal perfectly. The cheese and arugula croquettes were also super tasty. The carpaccio was a generous portion. We were welcomed warmly and didn't need to make a reservation. We were served quickly and were able to eat right away. Definitely recommended!

Get food for 4 people, around €150. The food was raw; the staff said that was perfectly normal, even though it was inedible. We got drinks in a dirty cup, and the chicken was tasteless, and they charged 25 euros for it. Just a pretty bad experience, a brutal bombshell on the wallet. NOT RECOMMENDED. WORTHLESS FOOD.

On a Wednesday afternoon, we stopped for tea. In the meantime, my husband had managed to secure a spot on an Elburg fishing boat right there and then. The terrace emptied out with the regular three o'clock boat trip. An hour later, we enjoyed a late lunch together consisting of a toasted sandwich and a chicken sandwich.

On Tuesday evening, had a drink on the terrace with a girlfriend. It is situated in a beautiful spot by the harbor, enjoying the lovely evening sun. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are cozy and spacious, right next to the city center. The service is pleasant and very friendly. Parking is available in a large lot just under 300 meters away. We had delicious coffee and a tasty pastry.

The beer was deliciously cold. The food was fine. Large portions. The service was very attentive and friendly. One minor point. With dessert (an affogato, so ice cream with espresso), I couldn't get a glass of water. It was only sparkling water. Even though it is quite customary to serve water with coffee.

Had a nice and pleasant meal. The mixed plate was good; the pork tenderloin could have been medium, but it was well done. But it was tasty and offered good value for money. Friendly staff and clean restrooms.

It felt like the Christmas story. All the sunny terraces were full, but just outside the city moat, there was room at De Herberg. We had a delicious lunch there: a 'Chicken De Herberg' sandwich. Excellent taste and very friendly service. Highly recommended. One small tip for the restaurant: make the terrace smoke-free.

Cozy restaurant. Delicious food. A three-course menu for 25 euros. Where else can you find that? Dessert came with real whipped cream on the plate. You rarely see that anymore. And drinks are expensive, that's the case everywhere, and often even more so. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant.

As gourmets, we don't say it often, but we had a surprisingly delicious meal here.

The food was delicious, it was super tasty. It was cozy, and the staff were attentive and very friendly. We'll be back soon.

We come here regularly, mainly because it's a nice place. Excellent, simple meals. Unfortunately, smoking is permitted on the terrace, even though there's no open side.

A nice restaurant close to the little harbour of Elburg. Very nice to sit outside on the terrace on a summer evening. Although there were many customers, service was really quick and friendly. Food was also good. I had the mussels and liked them a lot. A friend of ours had noodles with cucumbers and did not like it too much.

Yesterday we had a drink with a large group on the terrace of restaurant De Herberg at the harbour of Elburg, after a visit to the beautiful town. The location is certainly atmospheric, but unfortunately the hospitality left much to be desired. When we kindly asked, in addition to our order of various drinks, for a glass of tap water with our tea, we were told that this was “not possible” due to management policy. That does not feel hospitable to us, but rather as if we are seen as cash cows rather than welcome guests. Very unfortunate. For us reason not to come back here again. And, for us very unusual, not to leave a tip.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Everything is right here. Friendly staff who love their work. Beautiful view of the harbour. In short, you are definitely recommended in Elburg

Arrived in Elburg. After a lovely walk through Elburg due to the various activities that are taking place during the week, we looked for a place to have lunch just outside the centre, arrived at this restaurant at the harbour. After seeing the totally absurd prices on the lunch menu Healthy sandwich € 13.00 etc. we decided to have a toasted sandwich, one standard, and the other with tuna. I have big question marks about the latter, instead of tuna a warm tuna salad between the toasted sandwich? How? Not edible of course but okay, paying and leaving was our only option. Because we did not want to burden the service with this during the crowds (After all, they were students who have a vocational job, unfortunately they did not radiate a cheerful atmosphere) Next time when we are in Elburg again we will definitely skip this restaurant. Partly because of the absurd prices that they charge on the menu. Probably came about with a guess.

Great place to grab a refreshment. By chance I also ordered a portion of brown fruit. Well, these were of exceptionally good quality. The "Innkeeper" shared some background information with me about this. The entire catering team was there for everyone on the quite large terrace, where no one had to wait longer than 10 seconds. The Herberg also looks nice inside. Toilets very clean and nice.

Het was erg druk,maar we werden allervriendelijkst ontvangen. We mochten buiten wachten en er werd binnen plek gemaakt voor ons. De bediening liep hun benen uit hun gat maar bleven vriendelijk en deden erg hun best. Het eten zelf was perfect klaargemaakt. Door de drukte wat langer moeten wachten maar het was het meer dan waard. Je kon zien dat er zorgvuldig gekookt was. We hadden varkenshaas en die was exact zoals hij hoorde te zijn. Alles zag er verzorgd uit en was heerlijk gekruid. Mij zie je zeker terug.

Diner voor 4 personen, waarvan 1 glutenvrij. Vriendelijke bediening, genoeg keuze op de menukaart. Werd goed meegedacht welke gerechten glutenvrij waren of zo gemaakt konden worden. Eten zag er verzorgd uit en smaakte uitstekend. Zeker een restaurant om vaker te bezoeken.

Had lunch today, tried dinner in the evening, also perfect, definitely recommended. Not 5 main courses but an extensive menu, so a wide choice. You immediately feel the hospitality upon entering, friendly and attentive. Busy, but no long waiting times. Ham sandwich, tuna salad, satay, grilled salmon, delicious, kudos to the kitchen! They know how things should be done at De Herberg, a pleasure to eat there. And, clean toilets complete the picture, PERFECT!

Excellent dishes, taste good but a bit on the expensive side. Carpaccio was made from smoked meat, rectangular large slices. Tender, but not what I expected from carpaccio. Sunflower seeds were used instead of pine nuts. Shame. The dish was therefore disappointing. When we indicated this, we apologized and offered to serve a new starter. Well resolved. Beef tenderloin main course was more than sufficient and very tasty. Recommended. Smooth and hospitable service.

Great place for cappuccino and pastries.

Worn during a motorcycle trip. Have a nice chat together over a beer and bitterballen. In retrospect, it was quite expensive: 2 zero percent beers and 6 bitterballen: € 21.50. I never act rude, so I tip a total of €25.

The food was super tasty. The ribs were so tender and juicy and simply delicious with the honey glaze and aioli. The side dishes were also great. The pesto pasta with the prawns was also incredibly delicious. The restaurant is very busy and is right next to the small harbor in Elburg

Nice restaurant on the water in Elburg!

An occupied terrace during holidays. Despite a nice awning, there are quite a few spots in the sun or partly in the sun. With the 27 degrees it was doable and we were able to move when another table became available. Delicious food, carpaccio with an extra piece of melon. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice spot on the harbor with a view of the botters.

We entered here more or less forced by the pouring rain. We enjoyed an excellent sandwich in the cozy restaurant. We will definitely come back here. And then in better weather conditions.

Nice restaurant. You immediately feel at home. Very friendly (female) staff. Even though the restaurant was full, there were no long waits. Food followed each other in neat succession. Glasses empty then the question is, would you like something? And also ask every now and then if everything is to your liking. The Elburger chicken thighs in a pan was superb. The Elburger pork tenderloin also tasted excellent. Prices could be a little lower perhaps, but it was all worth it. Thank you! TOP!!

Kom je Elburg binnen vanuit het Westen, dan parkeer je gemakkelijk bij de haven. Het overgrote deel van de bezoekers loopt daarna onder de torenpoort door naar het uitnodigende centrum. Maar daarbij sla je dan een uitstekende eetgelegenheid over. Zoals zo vaak, even buiten het centrum, is het prima toeven bij De Herberg voor een lunch. Op het eerste gezicht redelijk aan de prijs totdat de gerechten op tafel komen, want hier krijg je waar voor je geld! Ik ga voor de Rookton, een salade met paling, zalm en koninginneharing. Je bestek goed vasthouden, want je eet anders je vingers erbij op! Met aandacht opgemaakt, ruime porties vis en door heerlijk vers brood begeleid. Hierna ga je voldaan en alvast met goede herinneringen de poort onderdoor naar het touristische geroezemoes van het Elburgse centrum.
