Had a fantastic dinner at Bistro Voy! Merle was so kind and attentive along with Thomas. It was nice to enjoy the sound of rain on the umbrellas as I stayed warm and dry with a great view of the village. Definitely coming back!

After an enjoyable ride on the moped — hop on back, on the back of my moped — we ended up in Elburg at an establishment where they apparently still know that the traveling man needs more than just petrol. We were received there by the ladies Lindi and Merel, in a manner that immediately suggested that leaving for the time being was a bad idea. Dishes appeared on the table that made one regret, after the very first bite, that man is only allotted one one stomach. Everything was exquisitely prepared, rich in flavor, and accompanied by wines that were not drunk, but pleasantly rumbled in the large glasses. Just when we thought life had little more to offer us, the coffee arrived. Not a frothy concoction with syrup, cinnamon, or other disguises, but an honest cup of coffee. Dark, warm, and strong enough to make a mustache curl. That is how it should be. Ladies Lindi and Merel, heartfelt thanks for the reception, the good care, and a meal that we will look back on with great pleasure. We arrived on mopeds and left like royalty. Albeit at fifty kilometers per hour.

We had a delicious lunch here. Friendly, nice staff. I had Tosti Voy, highly recommended. Delicious Turkish bread and well-filled. You can also go there for a nice drink.

A very cozy restaurant if you are indecisive and want to sample a little bit of everything. My partner and I each chose 3 dishes with a side dish. This was very filling, so more per person is definitely not necessary. Afterwards, we shared the panna cotta and it was delicious. Highly recommended!

The staff were incredibly friendly and did everything to make the guests feel comfortable. I ordered a chicken burger, but unfortunately, instead of the chicken breast I expected, it contained thigh meat, which I don't eat because it's so fatty. When the server asked if something was wrong, and I told them, they immediately offered me a different burger. The veggie burger I received was absolutely delicious. Nice little restaurant in Elburg. We sat comfortably on the terrace. The food was fine. Good portions. The service could be better. The bottle of water and the glasses were placed on the table nonchalantly. Glasses still wet and stacked. This young man still needs to learn that the glasses must be dry and that you fill them with some water. He didn't come across as enthusiastic. The ladies did a much better job.

A great place to grab a bite, but the price-quality ratio is poor. I ordered chicken satay, and it was very dry and tough. Even with the satay sauce, it wasn't very tasty. The fries were very salty. My friend had a burger, which was fine but nothing special. We were happy to have a bite, but we wouldn't go there again.

The burger, yes! No mayo or ketchup... a real, well-balanced burger💯❤️💪🏽🎉. The avocado burger is absolutely recommended. I also tried the pulled chicken and it was delicious. Everything nice and fresh. Coffee and tea are also good, but you can find that everywhere. Just go for it, have a nice lunch and enjoy!

After a lovely day at Pothoven riding school, we were looking for a place to eat. Many restaurants were closed on Mondays, but luckily, Bistro Voy was open. And what a wonderful surprise! We received a warm welcome from the staff. A young employee, on his first day, was incredibly polite and enthusiastic, and the hostess exuded friendliness and care. That immediately put us at ease. The menu has recently been updated and offers many delicious options. For €35, you can choose a three-course meal or à la carte with the specialties. We chose several dishes, including classic carpaccio, breaded mussels from a pan, vitello tonnato, duck breast fillet, cured pork (white steak), and a beef stew. Everything was beautifully presented at the same time, the portions were generous, and the flavors were delicious. The side dishes—fresh potato croquettes, salad, and fries with chives and mayo—also completed the experience. What was great: there was no rush. We indicated that we wanted to wait a bit after the main course, and that was perfectly accommodated. The desserts were a treat in themselves: iced coffee, Irish coffee, and a beautiful Coupe Voy with marinated strawberries, pistachio ice cream, and crème anglaise. Every single one was beautifully presented and delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and stylish, and we even struck up a pleasant conversation with our table neighbors. All in all: a fantastic experience, with knowledgeable staff and a chef who really knows his stuff. We will definitely be back! 👏🍴

The food is very good, though a bit pricey. The location and staff make it a truly memorable experience.

Had dinner with the family on the weekend. My daughter wasn't in the mood for fries... but there was only one children's menu option. When I asked the staff member if there were other options (perhaps a toasted sandwich or an omelet from the lunch menu?), I was met with an arrogant look and told she'd have to order a regular main course, which all came with fries. She ended up ordering fresh fruit with whipped cream (€9.50), but what she received was far from fresh. The plate consisted of three types of melon and two pineapple chunks. The melon was already partially sour, and the fruit was soaking in juice. Some pieces of melon were so soft they were puree (see photo). When we mentioned this to the staff member, they shrugged, and that was that. The fries that come with your main course are like taco-shaped potato slices; a dry snack (see photo). A very nice location, on a cozy corner in Elburg. Next time, we'll choose one of the other cozy-looking restaurants. We won't be returning to Bistro VOY.

The service and atmosphere were fine. However, the food was very disappointing. The mixed grill was okay. The fish didn't look particularly good. The goat's cream salad, however, was inedible. They were very kind to give me a new plate. But the chef should definitely review/taste the recipe again. The cream seemed to have started to ferment. Oh, and the walnuts were still good. It's still a shock when the three of you have to pay €100. It's a shame.

We sat down for a light lunch this afternoon. The prices were steep, which was striking. Bokkesprong salad €18.50. Arugula salad, goat cheese, walnuts, and roasted bell peppers in a tzatziki sauce. The hostess told us it would be a substantial salad. What was served was a plate of simple greens from a bag, two limp bell peppers, and a shot of regular salad dressing. No goat cheese or walnuts were present. The plate went back to the kitchen and came back with a few walnuts on it (forgotten, indeed) and the message that the goat cheese was in the salad dressing. No refund, no alternative, or solution was offered. Never again.

We had a wonderful meal during our vacation. We opted for a three-course dinner. Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful plates, very flavorful, and generous portions, even for a big eater. The price was €35.00, which is excellent value for money. The service was pleasant and friendly. They understood the process. Asking questions is important, and they do. The 5-⭐️ card at the end is also a nice touch, well thought out. Everything about this review is definitely worth it.

We had a disappointing experience. Sandwiches with dip turned out to be just a quarter of a sliced ​​Turkish bread. Like you get for €0.80 per loaf at the supermarket. You really can't ask €9.50 for that! The short ribs had an extreme amount of fat. There should be some fat on them but this was really more bacon than meat. They were bright red on the inside and therefore not cooked. The chicken satay may have been made from chicken thigh, but in any case also had a lot of bacon and was tasteless. There were exactly 3 pieces of prawn crackers and an ice-cold boiled egg, probably from the fridge. Only the decor is nice, but they won't see us again.

On Easter Sunday we had a drink here with seven people on the terrace and tonight the two of us went to Bistro Voy on spec. And luckily, they still had room! The staff are very friendly. They have an excellent menu with plenty of choice and something for everyone. We both opted for the Argentinian Short Rib. What a delicious piece of beef cooked for sixteen hours! Just a party. Serve with a mini quiche with caramelized carrots and some kind of dip-in potato slices. It comes with two cold sauces. Now I think you actually spoil the taste of the meat if you put it in the sauce, but dipping the carrots or potatoes in it is of course fine. Keep in mind: the white sauce turns out to be a jalapeño sauce and it is very spicy! I love spicy food, but this sauce gave me stomach problems. Too bad because the taste is very good. For dessert we had a homemade Baileys Mousse. This was also very tasty. Definitely recommended to eat here! We will definitely come back here again!

Today, February 1, 2025, it is no longer called restaurant De Vischmarkt but Bistro Voy. Fresh interior that takes us to a French bistro experience. We opted for the 3 course surprise menu. What a pleasure for the taste buds! The starter was gently cooked salmon on a bed of bean sprouts with carrots, the main course was rendang with super tender pulled pork that doesn't get stuck between your teeth, great! Dessert spekkoek with surprisingly delicious black sesame seed ice cream, mango chutney and fresh fruit. Delicious matching wines, we went home satisfied. Price and quality are excellent. We will definitely come back again.

I had carpaccio with Satay Ajam and my wife had Carpaccio with Entrecote, but the Entrecote was impossible to remove, the meat had a lot of fat and was very tough. We mentioned it and my wife got a new Entrecote which was no better.... We did not have to pay for the entrecote. to complicate matters, we received a cup of coffee on the house. Only my wife had not eaten, which is a bit of a shame. We found Restaurant De Vischmarkt in Elburg disappointing.
