First time and really enjoyed it! In our opinion tastiest food on Ijburg!! Will be back!!

4 euros for a cup of tea. Nothing special; water and a tea bag...no biscuit, no spoon, no saucer, nada...

Just a nice little place. Not super cheap or anything, but it does have some tasty snacks, appetizers (fried), and a few drinks.

Delicious snacks and interesting signature cocktails. Great place to lounge if you've got the cash to burn!

The food was excellent and the location was cozy. It's just a shame they ran out of mushrooms at 6:00 PM, even though the vegetarian menu largely relies on them. But the real reason for the one star: apparently, you're only allowed to give excellent or good reviews here. Transparency is better than censorship.

I was especially attracted by the free parking, it was large and always possible to find a place to park the car.

I tried this place once and ordered a sake. Unfortunately, the drink tasted extremely unpleasant, almost like dirty water. When I pointed this out to the waiter, they admitted it was in fact just water. I was then offered another glass of sake, which I accepted, but I was still charged for it despite the mistake. What worried me most was the uncertainty about where that water came from, especially since the sake was poured from an already opened bottle. The whole situation left me concerned about possible contamination. Between the poor customer service and the questionable handling of drinks, I definitely will not be returning.

We had cocktails and finger food at the beach bar. Everything was delicious, fresh, and arrived promptly. The service was friendly. The view of the water was beautiful, and while the beach isn't particularly large, it's a great way to unwind near the city.

Nice location Food was good, but it was all small sharing dishes, not full meals. Service was poor; we had to wait a long time for some items.

What a special place in Amsterdam! Here you can unwind. Enjoy the water and the beautiful skies, but especially the delicious food. My favorites: uramaki, spinach salad, and nasu dengaku. The very friendly service is worth mentioning.

We were among the first customers when the place opened at 5 p.m. It was very empty. We ordered three small snacks and three drinks. Even though we waited and took our time, the last dish didn't arrive until the first one was finished. So, we couldn't eat together. We were served by three different (presumably) students. The service was friendly, but completely disorganized and haphazard.

If you want to spend a few quiet minutes on the beach, away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, this is the place for you. Good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly people.

Very nice place with delicious dishes and nice matching drinks. Too bad that several dishes were not available, we were not told this in advance and we found out while ordering. A real mistake is that I had to pay €1 for using the toilet, afterwards it turned out that I should have asked the staff for a coin. The toilet man told me that I just had to pay even though I was in the restaurant.

Great food, great service. A bit slow, especially considering the limited number of customers. And the honey sticks are impossible to open without scissors. But the food is really delicious.

Nice location with a view of the beach. We had a couple of boa buns and the edimame beans and they were good.

A deception. Our family dinner fell apart completely. Disinterested service, the menu is not a shadow of the menu that can be seen on the internet, ultimately a kind of half-excuse (when it turned out that even the Edamame was sold out). What a difference with the quality of the Albert Cuyp branch. Unworthy of the franchise.

On a quiet and cold winter evening we enjoyed tasty snacks at De Japanner on the Strandeiland. This location will be optimal to visit from spring to autumn. The view is great.

Small restaurant on the beach in Amsterdam. Staff very nice. We only went here for a coffee (great!) and in the toilet (very clean, toilets outside are closed at certain times/seasons) so I can't say anything about the food, but the way everything came across and the location here, I would definitely try it out too.

What bad service! Not many guests and no way to get served. So ordered drinks and food at the bar. It all takes an incredibly long time for the drinks to arrive, so we walked to the bar again. And there it came. The food. Also took a terribly long time. And when it finally came, it was not what my table companion ordered. No excuses don't say oh you guys get a cup of coffee. The Japanese at Blijburg was once and never again!

Only went inside when the Kweekvijver Festival fell into the water. Looked fun!

My favorite place on IJburg (after my own house). Food is always top notch, drinks too, atmosphere is nice and laidback and relaxed. That's why I don't understand the bad reviews - this is a beach bar where people enjoy the sun at a relaxed pace while enjoying a drink and some snacks (and sometimes dinner if you happen to come in during regular opening hours), if you have a quick If you want a bite, you can go to the harbor and you will have eaten and drunk within 45 minutes. I actually enjoy that the waitresses don't rush you so much and take it easy. They are always friendly and up for a chat. Don't let the whiners scare you away, this is a top spot.

Had dinner at the Japanese after windsurfing with friends and it was very tasty! My girlfriend and I shared the veggie burger and the nasu dengaku. The eggplant was especially delicious. We all thought the portions were too small. Why only half an eggplant? And a mini piece of corn?

Really beautifully laid out. Great location for children and adults. Only paid parking makes no sense.

Tasty food (different menu than the regular), but no attention paid to details of the interior (dead plants, mop and bucket and trash can right next to our table on the terrace) and they allow people to smoke at the tables under the canopy which is practically inside, so it’s disturbing. Needs some attention

Too bad. The quality has deteriorated greatly. The operation and kitchen are very young people. That's not a bad thing, of course, but a reheated bite is apparently all they can do. The fries are fried in old frying fat. The garnish on the plate tastes stale. The food is not worth the money. What a waste. Because a year ago I had a completely different experience. Was also a different card.

We ordered two non-alcoholic spritzes and a Campari Spritz to drink, and they were good. For lunch, we ordered breaded chicken with fries and an oyster mushroom salad. The chicken was a little dry, and we had to add soy to the salad to give it more flavor. The service wasn't very good; they took a while to bring the orders, and they forgot one of the dishes for my two-year-old son. My recommendation is to go only for snacks and cocktails.

Yes, I think it's a shame. I always liked coming here because of the delicious small Japanese dishes. But today I was there for the first time in a long time and I found the menu quite disappointing. There was no longer tasty wine available as in previous years. Personally, I didn't think the food, such as the Japanese katsu with fries and coleslaw, was really Japanese anymore. I also found the addition of bitterballen and burgers to the menu disappointing, and to be honest the quality was not at the level I was used to. What was nice were the girls at the service. ♡ for that

Very nice place on the Blijburg beach. They were unexpectedly open due to the nice weather, so there was no hot meal in the afternoon. Tasty snacks. We drank delicious Japanese beer and edame beans as a snack. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended and friendly service.

Nice place for a drink but to eat is really not recommended. The portions are bizarrely small for the price. Service was a disaster: we had to take the initiative for asking for the menu, ordering food and asking for a plate/container for the soy sauce. Bottles of wine and food were quickly plopped down on the table. You are honestly much better off with your average sushi delivered to your home (and much cheaper)!

First time this ever happened to me. I am very surprised about the way of welcoming. After being seated for 10 minutes we ordered to the waiter. After ordering, a different assistant told us that they would only take orders from "Reservations". We were astonished by the way the other assistant told us. Also, we looked around and everything was half empty...(see pictures) There wasn't either any "Reserved" sign. We used to like this place but they definitely lost some custumers today. They need to think about how to treat customers or possible customers. It was very harsh.

Went there. Sat for 15 minutes. Nobody came to us to ask for our order. We kept looking and trying to catch their attention but to no avail. Kind of ruined my evening. Never going back there

We were there for live music and performances. The place has a nice vibe to it. And from what I saw around me the food must be excellent too The staff is very kind and pleasant. Like a club atmosphere. Well done.

Asking €5 per portion and filling uuthe baskets only half with fries?!When giving feedback the guy said: ‘well the owner says its €5 because it will take you 15 min to get fries elswhere, I guess he wants to make money fast…’ What a sad resto vison

Leuke locatie aan het strand. Wij gaan zeker een keer terug voor het diner.

Overall, the combination of the serene beachside setting, warm staff, and decent sushi made for a memorable and enjoyable meal.

We kwamen even na opening. Dus nog niet alles was klaar om goed en snel bediend te worden. Jong personeel dat er pas begonnen was. Een volgende keer zal dat wel beter zijn, neem ik aan. Warme sake was prima van kwaliteit! We komen zeker terug, en dan voor diner.

Bestimmt ein schöner Ort im am Strand etwas zu trinken aber nicht zum Essen. Unsere kleinen 4 Gerichte die wir bestellt hatten kamen nicht zusammen oder wenigstens direkt nacheinander sondern über 2,5 Stunden verteilt. Wir haben insgesamt 50€ bezahlt. Dafür waren die Gerichte viel zu klein und der Service war schlecht. Alles hat trotz wenigen Gästen sehr lange gedauert.

Heerlijke plek, super fijn op zonnige dagen, lieve leuke meiden in de bediening, het eten echt heel summier. Porties zijn erg klein, alles een beetje te vet, wel mooi gepresenteerd maar we hebben best wat centen uitgeven en we hebben echt honger. Waarom niet een paar goede hoofdgerechten op de kaart? Dan komen we graag nog eens eten.

Prima aan het strand. Maar erg duur en niet bijzonder. Gelukkig is de supermarkt vlakbij.

Ambiente muito aconchegante, antedimento top demais ! Preço muito bom . Compensa muito conhecer! Eu amei e voltarei mais vezes . Amamos o atendimento de uma moça em especial, porém todas são educadissimas ! Quem nos atendeu foi uma moça ruiva , linda e gente boa . Uma ótima experiência. Recomendo.
