Op het terras van restaurant De Kombuis gegaan voor lunch . Gastvrij en vriendelijke bediening met een goed advies. Uitstekend zalm gegeten met een voortreffelijke wijn . De ontspannen sfeer en de zeer smakelijke lunch gaan we zeker herhalen! Echter vernomen dat dit bedrijf De Kombuis gaat stoppen. Erg jammer z’n gastvrij , culinair restaurant op een mooie lokatie. Bedankt en voor de toekomst succes!👍

We namen plaats aan tafel bij de Kombuis en het viel ons al meteen op dat bij de buren alle tafels overgezet waren maar bij de Kombuis waren nog bijna alle tafels beschikbaar. We bestelden een paar drankjes en plotseling toen kwam de medewerker naar ons toe en hij vertelde dat we moesten gaan terwijl we onze drank nog niet op hadden en het was ruim voor de sluitingstijd. De andere mensen aan de andere tafel had hij ook weg gestuurd. Toen zijn we daarna naar clevers gegaan en toen zagen we dat hij daarna wel nieuwe mensen ontving. Gewoon belachelijk dat hij zijn eigen klanten wegstuurd. Wij gaan er nooit meer heen. Hij ziet zijn faillissement wel een keer tegemoet.

We come here often. A friendly and attentive host and delicious food for a good price/quality ratio. A nice relaxed atmosphere in which you feel at home. Outstanding service!

We wanted to have something to eat with our daughter (6 months old in a stroller) and dog, unfortunately we weren't able to open one of the 3 remaining parasols that had not yet been opened, so that we didn't have to sit in the full sun with our daughter at 25 degrees ! The excuse given was that the waiter was alone and couldn't close 5 umbrellas when it rained. Sorry, but when you see the weather report and the weather is forecast to be the best for the next two days and you're only trying to manage the store with 30 - 50 guests with two people, that's a bad excuse!

De (heren) WC was al maanden niet schoongemaakt. Het eten was erg matig en de zogenaamde kruidenboter en het "Knoflooksausje" kwamen uit een potje van erg slechte kwaliteit.

Ate here for the 2nd time and once again fantastic. Friendly and fast service. Unique, because you get delicious warm fresh vegetables with your main course. Most restaurants only lettuce. A 2nd portion of fries, stewed pears and warm fresh vegetables is also possible even for that price. Where do you get this nowadays??!! For example, if you want a different sauce with your meat or fish, this is always possible if you indicate so. To finish, a delicious cappucino with a liqueur, whipped cream and a cookie. In addition, you can dine here all day long. At other restaurants you have the lunch menu and you can go from 5 p.m only dinner. Wonderfully quiet with background music and none chicken coop or too close together. What else do you want ? We have our next one anyway, visit again planned immediately. Peter and Anja.

Very bad service! Yes, we are busier than usual, but we ordered food and my mother still wanted to order something extra and when she told the waiter that we were having a hard time ordering everything separately even though we didn't have anything separately... very unfriendly and strange of this gentleman, I think the work stress is very high for this gentleman because he is standing alone, but he was still very unfriendly, it is that we are hungry otherwise we would have run by now! Unfortunately, we are still here for a while, which is a bad thing! Tip for the boss, this is simply not possible, please speak to your personal member!

Are you wondering why you can sit directly at the table at De Galbuis and have to make a reservation with the neighbors? Then sit down and experience it for yourself. For people with no taste it is not a problem as the food has no taste at all. Even the raw vegetables had no taste. The coke comes neatly from a bottle so that's OK, but for the rest you're better off staying with the neighbors. You do have to make a reservation.

We have eaten at the Galley again for a long time. The food was delicious. It is highly recommended. We were a group of 16 people. A very extensive choice on the menu. Everyone got their food at the same time. The service was perfect, very friendly and fast. Thank you.

Quite shortly: the man running the place (tall guy, rather skinny, glasses, early fourties) told me and my friend to ‘f&€k off with our bikes’ when we parked our bikes NEXT DOOR’ with zero impact to him or his restaurant. We parked the bike for a minute of 5 to buy an icecream. No wonder his terrace was 50% filled while all others were packed with people. Never even will I spend only one euro here.

The large menu cloth just outside the terrace states: "Fries and vegetables are served with every main course." "That's delicious" we thought, but we didn't get anything with our main course!! Very disappointing. The website of this restaurant does not exist, so viewing the menu online is not possible.

Ate fish. Just like after the opening after the 1st lockdown. Again huge stomach cramps. Vegetable garnish: always the same chicory and unimaginative salad. Nice terrace.

Tasteless bite of fish with some burnt vegetables. Reported it and was given the excuse that we apparently did not know what we had ordered because this type of fish has no taste. Why is it on the menu and where did the chef receive his training? Quite unfriendly, we ended up getting some salt. Because when I asked my wife if she liked the answer, she didn't like the answer. When paying, I got an angry look and the request to never come here again... blaming the customer! But we can reassure them that we will not be coming again and advise others to think about it carefully.

Coincidentally ended up here for a bite to eat. Cozy family business with many regular guests. We were more than welcome and were allowed to choose our own seat. Wide choice of menu and a friendly priced 2-3 course menu. We ate: chicken cocktail and fried mussels as a starter and salmon twice as a main course. It tasted delicious and the portions are generous. We had a nice chat with the owner at checkout and we went home feeling good and satisfied.

Very good and friendly service. We had dinner here 2 evenings in a row because the menu invites us to do so. Delicious food, good portions, plenty of side dishes. The timing is perfect, plenty of room for rest and enjoyment.

Selling sole fillet then calling it panga fish or something like that is a turn-off. Then I think that this will also be the case with the rest of the products you sell. Definitely a letdown. Fries and tomato soup were honestly half fine.

I have never eaten as bad as in this restaurant. On August 3, 2018, I went to the galley for dinner with my girlfriend. The menu looked good, we ordered the carpatcio and a chicken salad as a starter. This one was fine. However, the main course, which consisted of grandma's brisket jar and my friend's snip, was a real drama. The brisket jar was all greasy. The snietzel was only taken 1 bite, it was very tough and seemed as if it had already been heated up in the microwave 3 times. The fries were still frozen on the inside, the tasteless broccoli was floating in brown water and the canned stewed pears were extremely tasteless. We also left the lettuce, which consisted of brown and limp arugula with an egg and tomato, as it was. In short, a lot of drama. After reporting this to the waiter and being told that this was a shame and would be passed on. We walked inside to pay. To top it all off, nothing was done with it and we had to pay the full ferry. Tired and feeling hungry, we drove to the mac. 2 days later I complained by email. My complaint was not addressed much in terms of content, but we would receive a 25% discount on our next reservation as compensation. Well, no thanks, I will never eat there again and neither will my neighbor who I told about this.

Bad and unfriendly service. I ordered a starter and main course and explicitly indicated that I would like them served at the same time. After more than an hour of waiting, the starter and the wrong main course arrive. I indicate that this is not the main course I ordered. Then he comes back with an empty plate and I am told that it will take another 10 minutes. I indicate that we have been waiting for over an hour and now another 10 minutes. I get the answer that they tried it and it didn't go well and that it is my fault because I ordered a starter and main course. I don't think I've ever experienced such bad service as here.

The menu gives the impression of a good restaurant and tasty cuisine. However, to our surprise, this was disappointing. Cold spare ribs and prawns from the freezer....and even found a piece of intestinal tract. The bed of vegetables turns out to be just a wasted pile... They also charge high prices!!!!

I have rarely eaten as bad as in the galley. Service very rude. Food too expensive for what you expect. Atmosphere bad and not cozy. The quality of the dishes is very poor. Vegetables overcooked and soggy. Shrimp soft and tasteless combined with strawberry jam!!! Canned eggs. Maybe Gordan Ramsay needs to come through here and get things straightened out. Many dishes that were not on the menu were not available. Everything came practically from a can or from vacuum packaging. Organization between servants was uncoordinated. Service only came twice in 1 hour to order a drink. To top it all off, the host also came to tell me that the shrimps were fine, while I as a customer indicated that the food was substandard. The gentleman immediately came to bring the bill, stamping his feet. In short, Ball Tent! I'll go to my neighbor from now on.

The worst restaurant I have eaten at in a long time. Hard and dry, ruined fries and chicory that was wilted and bitter. Everything prepared in advance and certainly not fresh. The service was very curt and did nothing to complain, shame!!! Definitely NOT recommended!!!!!!!!!

For the price, I think the quality is a bit poor. In my opinion, fake flowers on the table are no longer acceptable. Certainly not with the prices they charge. A shame, because it is in a fantastic location.

After a wonderful walk in the Zevendal we settled on the terrace of this restaurant. My wife has Celiac disease but the restaurant appeared to have no gluten-free bread. Don't worry, because there is always some bread in our car that still needs to be baked. Unfortunately, the girl who took our order came back with the bread. The two rolls could not be baked. Bad turn for this restaurant and we left for another restaurant, which served us a delicious lunch with gluten-free bread.
