De Lange Muur in Wijk 07 Heemradenwijk

I ordered food from The Lake, and it was absolutely outrageous. Half my order wasn't delivered, even though I'd paid for it in full. What did arrive was poorly prepared, sloppily packaged, and absolutely inedible. This doesn't belong in a "restaurant" that takes itself seriously. The situation was so bad that I felt compelled to take further steps to resolve it. This is clearly the last time I order from them.

I didn't like the "stew" dish; the gravy was very thin, and half of the meat had a lot of fat in it. The potatoes were soaked with gravy. We had to ask twice where one children's dish was. The staff did their best, but didn't communicate well, so we had to ask twice for our main course.

Friendly and cozy, the food looked beautifully presented. The salt shaker on the table was missing though. It seems like almost all restaurants have a low-salt policy these days. Tip: bring salt ;) Drinks were refilled promptly; no Merlo or Cabinet, and limited beer options. Then a skuumkoppe, which thankfully was available. Otherwise, we had a great evening, highly recommended!

Great prices, and the food is also excellent. Great service and friendly staff. Free parking.
