Enjoyed a rare good burger last Saturday! A no-nonsense business with quality and a cozy, attractive appearance. Moreover, extremely friendly staff that makes you feel welcome.

Zoe welcomed us very kindly and Mauro treated us very well, he recommended the cod and it was a success, highly recommended!!

What an incredible spot! From the outside, it might seem like an ordinary place, but once you step inside is truly a delightful surprise. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, with no wait time whatsoever. It’s a fantastic choice, even if you’re in a rush, as they ensure your food is served quickly. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to return in the summer..

Restaurant suggested by our guide of the day: Béa. There was a queue when we arrived and also when we left. We were quickly taken care of and ordered the "Lekkerbek" combination with a craft beer (replaced by another because it was out of stock): a fried fish fillet with breading and accompanied by a salad and fries. The service was very pleasant and very fast. Typically decorated rooms. Cramped toilets, in the basement, with steep stairs.

30 mins for fries? Absolutely avoid. Supermarket fries. Eaten out of hungry and payment, not out of taste. If you order from outside, you can’t sit at the restaurant what so ever.

The worst fried calamari I’ve had in my life. They were not properly fried, extremely soggy and were not even fresh. Tasted very fishy. Do not recommend.

It was the worst burger I’ve ever had. The restroom was so cramped you could hit your head, and if you sit inside, the smell is overwhelming. On top of that, it was overpriced, and the salad was tasteless.

Suitable for an economical and peaceful spa holiday with your family. Half board dinner is simple but delicious, like home cooking.

My mother and I enjoyed a delightful lunch of cod and chips, recommended and served by the gracious Zoë. The food was exceptional, and Zoë was so kind as to share information about the local area.

The seafood experience here is absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was incredibly delicious, made fresh, and served promptly without any waiting time. It’s a lovely spot to stop for lunch in this charming village. We tried the Sibbeling van s kabeljauu the fish fillet and the calamari everything was truly worth it and absolutely fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food. Highly recommended!

This is a horrible place with worst service ever. They confirmed reservation on the phone and took down my name. When I show up they claimed that they don't take reservations. Their solution is to say sorry and wait the big queue at the door. Avoid at all costs, not a reliable place at all

Kibbeling was very delicious, the atmosphere was very sweet, the local beer Robuust was enjoyable.

On the guided tour of the place. They have told us to have lunch here, unfortunately the place is small for all the attendees of a tour. Added to the fact that they don't have anything without milk in their preparations (so if you are allergic like me, avoid it), I had a tea with some fries for about 8 euros. I ordered the kibelling (fried black cod fish bites) and was very tasty and fresh. My boyfriend had the chicken burger, and he also have great feedback. The potatoes were also tasty and came in a nice presentation - paper cones. I tried the rum hot chocolate - it was good and surprisingly strong in alcohol 😂 The music was also very pleasant. If I ever visit the area I will stop again!

After a long walk through the port, browsing the restaurant menu, we decided on De Lunch and it was a great success. The seafood decoration, typical of the area, helps you set the mood to enjoy a varied and tasty menu. We were surprised that they had it in Spanish, which made it easier for us to choose. We drank local beer as a recommendation. For starters, an exquisite seafood soup and a tasting of delicious seafood and smoked meats. As a main course, a surprising vegan avocado burger and a varied grill of very fresh seafood. All with salad and of course the famous Dutch fries. The service of the waiters was very friendly, helpful and fast. It is an ideal place to eat in Volendam.

We came for lunch as part of a tour group. Our tour guide recommended this place for the fast delivery of food and of course the taste. They provide both indoor and beautiful outdoor area right infront of the harbor. The food was good and was delivered fast.

The cod fish was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. Succulent, juicy prawns tossed in a flavorful spicy sauce. The spice level was just right - not too mild, not too overwhelming.

Looking at the reviews we decided to come and eat. We didn't have a reservation and when we arrived it was quite full but we got a table. We ordered the kibbeling and the mix with different batters. They serve both with fries. Everything was delicious. They served us very quickly, they have a lot of staff working. At one point the restaurant was practically empty but it quickly filled up again. They should recommend it on some tours since there were many Spanish speakers with a guide.

Fish and prawn super salty, squid and mussels were tasteless, no dressing on salad. To top it off, waitress charged us £3.20 for hot water. We came here at the recommendation of our tour guide. We were reluctant at first so we walked around but finally came back. We had the seafood sampler which was plenty for two people with not very big appetites. The wine and beer was also reasonably priced. There was nothing to complain about as the service was friendly and efficient. They have a walk-up window if you don't want to sit down.

In Amsterdam the food theme is quite basic, at least for what we are used to in the north of Spain. This is the one where I ate the best, but nothing more.

Kibbeling was mediocre, fries were downright bad, greasy, limp and many small pieces. Service mediocre. Passed on about the fries, nothing was done. Cloudy apple juice, asked for regular apple juice. Then say you don't have that. Restaurant decoration was nice. Go to Viszaak Simones in The Hague or to Scheveningen, where you will get kibbeling and fries as it should be. Fresh fish and good fries.

Fast and effective for the tour

In terms of service and atmosphere, De Lunch was a great place. Delicious coffee in the morning, excellent apple pie and a nice young lady. Given that experience, we also had dinner there in the evening and that turned out to be a big mistake. It is a beautiful location and it was very busy, Sunday, the last beautiful day of the year. So you could enjoy people watching. The service was friendly. With the exception of the eel (of which I was allowed to try a piece), the food was not good. Everything was fried and very greasy. We ate on site. The batter (of the kibbeling and the mixed fish) was not tasty, came loose and was very greasy. Presumably because the frying fat was too cold. The fries were also weak, not tasty and green fries. It looked like the fries came from the same fat as the fish. The chicken burger was also from the deep fryer, bland, not tasty and had no taste. Not even the sandwich. I can recommend the eel, that's where it ends. A few meters further on there are many tasty places to eat really good kibbeling!

The waiter of the on the sea tables is rude and unprofessional. We were waiting for +15min to get a table, then a European guy arrived and got seated. Although many tables have been freed up, the waiter didn’t care about us and left us waiting until we took the table ourselves. He refused that I sit down because I have order a take away fries *from the same restaurant*, while we were about to order our main dishes as dine in. We took our stuff and left. Very bad way of dealing with guests.

Restaurant with 2 terraces, quite a few seats. The staff is very young and speaks English. The dishes are very generous. The fish are quality. The ingredients are fresh and well cooked. Price: around 20-30 euros/dish I recommend with my eyes closed!

One of the best fried fish (it is possible to tell them no chips/fries if you prefer all fish) I’ve had. I waited a few minutes after ordering because they cook the fish per order ensuring that it comes out piping hot and fresh. The order is large enough for 2 people as a snack. No need for any dip or mayo as the fried fish is already flavourful. Service was quick and efficient.

We ate a kibbeling mix here and I can say that I was disappointed. The fish was not tasty as you are used to at a fishmonger. Not freshly prepared. Even the fries were weak and limp. Too much lettuce is put in the container. For good bickering you're better off going elsewhere

The food and service were more than wonderful 👌🏽 We ordered shrimp and cod fish and each dish was fried better than the last. There was a man named Ryan who was serving at a table trying to learn Arabic, and the honesty made the experience wonderful. One last and important thing: the only restaurant in the city that welcomes foreigners.
