A very nice beach bar/restaurant with very good food and wonderful views of the Markermeer.

Very friendly and customer-focused staff, and we even had the opportunity to make a nice comment. The atmosphere was very pleasant, as always. And of course, the menu was excellent again; we really enjoyed it.

I came in December, and even then, despite the cold, I enjoyed the unique beauty of this place... Now that June warms everything, it's simply paradise. I think sitting with your feet almost on the sea and enjoying excellently prepared dishes is priceless. The only place in the Netherlands where they served bitterballen on a specially made plate... and especially the napkins... oh... crunchy... Yummy!! I used to come here for the spectacular goulash... One more reason to return in every season... bravo and congratulations. Update September 2025: There's a petite girl... a delicate blonde with beautiful eyes, Jara (I hope I spelled that correctly). I'd like to thank her. She's absolutely the kindest and most friendly member of the team. ... everyone's good... but she's on another level. I'm enjoying a delicious Friday in September... perfect temperature and a superb dinner. Onion soup with gratinated cheese and the amazing bitterballen... how lucky... both for the opportunity and the weather. I drove all the way from Zandvoort just to be here tonight... It's always worth it. See you soon!!! My favorite little place in the whole Netherlands

The Strandbad Paviljoen is a restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere and boasts a fantastic location on the IJsselmeer. In the summer, you can sit outside with a beautiful view of the water. In the winter, the restaurant is decorated for a cozy atmosphere, making you feel instantly at home. The food is always delicious, and the service is friendly and excellent.

Great location, fantastic service, and amazing food. I've eaten there several times and it was absolutely fantastic. However, yesterday, August 30th, early in the evening, I saw the following: At the pickup window, you can see a tiny bit into the kitchen. While paying for my pickup order, I saw a chef using his fingers to check if the food was warm enough. I don't think this is possible; there's special equipment for that. This struck me as very negative and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Very nice restaurant, lovely terrace, super-friendly staff, and excellent food with generous portions. Highly recommended, even with children. We'll be back.

Accessible, beautiful views over the Markermeer. Always a friendly atmosphere. Children can play in a small playground. Or for €1 in the campsite's large playground.

A beach bistro with a relaxed atmosphere, located directly on the IJsselmeer. A young, communicative service team. The restaurant was busy at lunchtime. We can't comment on the quality of the food. The Aperol Spritz and the beautiful view were a great start to our vacation.

The location is amazing, situated between the sea and a canal. Lots of birds. the staff were very friendly and efficient. restaurant was clean. Food was tasteless. we ordered the onion soup, which had a very poor flavor, hardly any cheese on top, and the bread served with it had no flavor, even after spreading butter on it. The caprese panini was not tasty. The pesto bread was also flavorless that it was served on. Served with mayonnaise, which is an odd pairing and didn't compliment the flavor. The French fries were ok. The chai tea was a little bit of syrup in the glass with foam. Didn't even fill the glass. We didn't order the ice cream, but the ice cream did look good I would recommend that if you're looking for ice cream or drinks (only) on the water, this is the perfect place

We were looking for a restaurant offering fish 🐟, we were delighted, excellent soles and plaice, well cooked and generous. The site is peaceful and wonderfully well located at the end of a dike. The staff ensure happiness 🥹

Don't go here for the food. The fries are great, though. But the location! It's sublime! A drink and a snack by the water is the best option. They know what wine they have, so ask for what you like.

Beautiful view, good food and friendly service. We got a lot of extra toast with our starter and my phone could be charged behind the bar. We will definitely come back here again.

This place never disappoints... I came here in my 20s with friends on Saturday afternoons, enjoying a beer and a snack by the water. In the meantime, having a good conversation or just staring at the water and boats. Now, as a 50-something, I enjoy a bite to eat and a drink here with my son. Portions and variety on the menu are still very good, the hamburger is not standard catering food but is a taste experience. Prices are not exaggerated for the location. The staff is apparently enjoying themselves - because despite the crowds inside and outside - the service is involved, friendly and fast. Sparrows come begging to eat with us and with a view of the camping site, it is as if you are on holiday here. It could easily be a place in Germany on a mountain lake.

Shame! Had made a reservation, after calling to say we would be a bit late I was not understood by the 'employee'. Once arrived no table reserved, had decided to sit outside, inside a spot became available after 10 minutes... The worst part comes now, after having spent quite a bit (doesn't mean that if you spend less you should not be treated differently, guest is guest) and a few things went wrong (which can happen), we were asked if we wanted another round of coffee while the whole table was still full of coffee, Irish coffee, late sorbets... As a catering expert I said, you can clean the machine, we don't need any more coffee after this. She came over and asked if we wanted to pay the bill right away. Really a disgrace while the whole table is still full. When taking out the dinner the 'manager' asked if everything had tasted good, how nice that it was finally asked was my answer... After paying I would get an apology but that was completely forgotten. Afterwards I didn't need it anymore and I was slightly irritated. It was a special evening for us and fortunately we were able to hold on to that despite this disappointment. Then I still have to say that we were there the day before (Saturday) to have a drink and the owner's husband walked to our table twice for a chat and after 20 minutes we still had nothing to drink, we left. Such a shame, such a beautiful place and where people work mistakes can be made but this really goes too far.

Had 2 beers here on Saturday night Nice restaurant right on the water! Great seating but the service was really a disgrace I don't think anyone knew what they were doing and just kept walking around! 1 girl thought it was fun to always stand at the table with her friends and chat, everyone was just waiting for service but she didn't care at all, nice sip of the cocktail, bite of the bittergarnituur I think she forgot she was working?! Nice for your colleagues too 🙈

Unfortunately I still haven't received my food 20 minutes after my wife's. After a comment I am told: they overlooked that. After 10 minutes I finally received the work menu, microwave hot and tough meat, very unfortunate. Not eaten. This was it.

We had a panini tuna melt, a 12 o'clock and two coffees with oatmeal. Excellent quality, nice view of the IJsselmeer and the harbor entrance.

Amazing place! I didn’t think much of the place when I saw it on google, but once arrived the staff were very friendly and the view was incredible! Food was good and they also have a small vegan menu which was perfect for my friend.

Today we went to the Strandbad Pavilion in Edam with a friend, what a nice discovery! Eating 5 meters from De Gouwzee in a very cozy establishment with a large surrounding terrace right on the water, but inside this time because of the cold wind. But inside it was warm and cozy with delicious food and great hospitality. No pushing to get you away quickly for next visitors, very nice if you want to catch up in detail again. A very good grade from us and we will come back to you soon to explore the map further.

The food is always good here. For me, the service is one of the best I have ever been to. The atmosphere is always good. The restaurant is always nicely decorated according to the theme of the year. I love it. It's always busy here, that says it all. 😊

Had a great meal at Strandbad Paviljoen Edam! We went for the salmon dish, and it was amazing. The soup was super tasty, and there was also a Dutch dish (I can’t remember the name, but it was delicious!). Big thanks to Henk for the awesome service – he really made the experience even better.

We had lunch in Strandbad Paviljoen Edam and it was wonderful. The food was wonderful, the sea view was wonderful and relaxing, and the service was kind and fast. We had onion soup, Falafel, French Frise and the kids had toast with cheese. I don't remember the cost but I remember it was very fair. If you're in Edam, make sure to stop in the Strandbad Paviljoen and have a good meal in a special place.

Op aanraden van mijn PT zijn we hier afgelopen zaterdag gaan eten! We werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen en het eten was voortreffelijk! De slibtongen super goed gebakken en de andere tafelgenoten hadden de biefstuk bali gekozen en ook zij hebben heerlijk gegeten! De porties zijn prima, hadden zelfs patatjes en salade over. Toetje hebben we dan ook niet genuttigd maar nog wel genoten van een kopje koffie en thee. Personeel is een aantal keer bij ons aan tafel geweest om te vragen of alles naar wens was, echt top!

We are very often in different areas of the Netherlands, but for us this is the best restaurant we have ever encountered. If the game is on offer, you should definitely take it, but the spare ribs and the salad with goat cheese are also a dream, the location is also great and especially the friendly staff and we would also give it seven stars. 💛

Loved eating here, we had great service & wonderful food, The wine wasn't too bad either. We stayed on the campsite, so luckily, we didn't have far to stagger home. Beautiful setting, right on the waters edge, next to the marina.

Had lunch there with the whole family, 19 people. In one word, perfect in a unique place.

The ambiance was pleasant, the service very nice, but the croquettes did not pass the test. Terribly dirty. How hard can it be???? Have a little more sense of honor and make sure there is quality on the table.

Vriendelijk ontvangen ,het voorgerecht was heerlijk.We zaten buiten op het terras,het begon te regenen en de vorige x werden de parasols open gedaan zodat we droog konden eten echter werd gezegd dat het van de baas niet mocht.Dus de keus of in de regen het hoofdgerecht eten of naar huis want er waren geen tafels binnen meer vrij.Bij het naar buiten lopen zagen wij 2 tafels met de kaartjes vrij erop staan.Er werd nog wel tegen mijn man gezegd dat het eten bijna klaar was en of wij het in een tasje mee wilde nemen.Heel teleurstellend.Personeel is niks op aan te merken ,De baas daarintegen mag in dit geval het hoofdgerecht in zijn .....duwen
