I really like this place, so much so I’ve been 3 times. Food is great, atmosphere is lovely but this final time service was terrible. Something was wrong with the order for every course, service was slow - the place is clearly understaffed. Would really hope to see it improve as it’s a lovely spot!

Beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere was excellent and our food and drinks were delicious. We stopped for lunch and the menu was well-priced. Service was amazing despite the restaurant being full. Great location too. There was a short wait to get in but as before, it was very busy.

A warm and welcoming restaurant located inside a modern greenhouse on the edge of the botanical garden. Delicious dishes with a hint of fusion, and an excellent wine list from around the world.

Having enjoyed lunch at the plantation before, we decided to dine there this time. We reserved a table for lunch and received a warm welcome. The service was very friendly and efficient. They had a great menu. We had a delicious meal. A great place to visit again!

The food looked lovely, tasted nice but all our food was cold. Kitchens open and you could see food waiting on the pass for 10 mins plus. The restaurant was freezing I sat there in my coat. When we told them the food was cold there was a sort of apology, food was taken off the bill but we didn’t know until the end. The waiting was poor, they were polite on direct engagement but rarely checked in, didn’t offer new drinks in fact we had to ask 2-3 times for some water which never turned up. We were ready to walk out by the time our cold main course arrived we waiting 45-60 mins between courses. It’s a shame as the building is absolutely stunning, but I wouldn’t return on those grounds.

Great food. The menu was a bit too complicated for the restaurant's size. Service took a very long time. A starter that was supposed to arrive "quickly" was forgotten, but wasn't brought until the main course. In two hours, we only managed to eat a starter and a main course. It was very busy; booking in advance is recommended.

The food was delicious and the waiter was very kind. However, the knife I received was extremely dirty. I felt uncomfortable about it, so I went to the counter to ask for a new knife, but the new one was also dirty. It was disappointing that the woman at the counter didn't seem to care.

Great place, friendly service. But the food could be better. Fish soup was meager with 3 mussels and 2 pieces of bread. Apple pie with core bits arrived 10 minutes after the lukewarm coffee. The open kitchen looked messy during lunch. Great place to meet friends, but for good food I'll go elsewhere.

I've been to The Plantage restaurant in Amsterdam: a truly stunning location, in a beautiful and evocative area, with a charming atmosphere. The food was good; I wasn't entirely sold on the appetizers, but the main courses were truly excellent. The staff was well-organized and knowledgeable. Recommended!

Excellent location. We'd go again. Very good lamb leg for two (but pricey at 32 Euro per person). Cannot recommend the odd carrot concoction salad. Service staff could be a bit more attentive.

The venue is very nice, but the food is not great for vegetarians. The ravioli was completely flavourless, and sadly we had to order 2 because we don't eat meat. Churros were nice.

We came on a Saturday evening with no reservation. We were immediately warned that we had only 90 minutes to dine. 45 Minutes later, our order was taken. The food was good, but not spectacular. Prices were reasonable. The dining room is lovely.

The service is stylishly dressed in subdued black, but thankfully without being overbearing: friendly, knowledgeable, and with a smile that almost makes your menu redundant. Big restaurant. Quite noisy and tiring! The waiters were obviously tired, although very friendly and did their best! I liked that there were some big houseplants as an interior element of the restaurant! The food was delicious! The prices were also more affordable!

I ordered two cappuccinos, an apple pie, and a cheesecake. After a long wait, I finally got two cappuccinos. The pastries arrived more than six minutes later. I was actually planning to pay for the coffee and leave after just five minutes. The coffee and pastries were fine, but the service was terrible.

I was looking for a table away from the center of the room to avoid being in the thick of things. The waitress who helped me pointed to a table right in the middle of everyone. The tables on the other side of the entrance were completely empty. I pointed to them. The reason I'm writing this review is because the waitress then sighed deeply and reacted with irritation, and "just" directed me to the other side. I couldn't believe my eyes. Such unprofessionalism. I was stunned by this reaction, especially considering it's such a fancy place. Another waitress at the table was very friendly.

For lunch, the Fatteh is rather small. A small pile of arugula was placed on top to disguise this. I come here often and really enjoy it, but I just had to mention this.

This restaurant has been on our bucket list for a while. The place is really spacious, with a lovely atmosphere, even featuring real plants. Tasty food, nice pairings. Friendly staff, medium/high prices. The only downside is the slightly slow service (slightly more than two hours).

I went to the lake with the flamingos to admire them, of course we were there and we went for a drink at this bar called De Plantage and we had three cocktails and a friend of mine had some Humus, while we were ordering I asked the waitress to bring a Negroni, an espresso martini and a Campari gin. Everything arrived perfect except the Campari gin because she brought me a Campari without gin and some ice on the side since there was no gin. I told the waitress kindly and she told me that in the end it was a Negroni without vermouth and I understood and said yes... I just think that Campari gin is international so they should know, the waitress didn't even speak English very well because she didn't understand us very well. Afterwards, I kindly asked her to bring me a fork or a teaspoon for my friend's plate, and she brought me a knife. We were outside and smoking wasn't allowed, so I definitely won't be returning. They'll have to change a few things, considering I do the same job. Cleanliness was excellent, but the rest of the experience was unfortunately disappointing. I don't think I'll be back.

A truly beautiful, very large restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. It's like a large hall with three-sided windows, perhaps once a winter garden or orangery. There's also a lovely outdoor seating area, but we were there in the fall. The service is excellent; you don't have to wait long for anything. The menu is limited but very creative, and everything tasted excellent. We went there several times.

Beautiful place! I went after a walk through the Hortus Botanicus, since it's very close by. The service was excellent — super friendly and warm. The food was delicious, with fair prices. Great atmosphere — it's spacious, with different areas to choose from, and it also seems like a good spot to get some work done. Personally, I went on a rainy day to have a drink and sit down to write, and it truly was the perfect place to spend some time. They have a few vegan options, both for food and drinks. I would definitely come back!

I wouldn’t say I ordered a lot of food, but as always, I had a cup of coffee with a slice of cheesecake. The cheesecake was quite tasty, a bit on the sweet side. The coffee was average — nothing with a real “wow” effect. There are places where it’s better, but the atmosphere makes up for it. The restaurant’s vibe is really beautiful. While waiting for my coffee, I noticed there were quite a lot of people, yet the service was pretty fast. I did see, though, that my cheesecake took a bit longer to arrive compared to the order at the next table — even though they had way more food.

Nice food. Nothing more. Very noisy and crowded, service - some of the waiters take political views in public and this causes an unpleasant feeling and does not make you want to dine there.

The building, the colors, the light, and the interior make De Plantage in Amsterdam a magical place for lunch. And all of this is surrounded by the towering flora and fauna of Artis, with that magnificent terrace and chairs from Paris offering a view of the pink flamingos. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. And they also have delicious food and friendly service. A nice bonus. Tip: if you walk in at 11:00 on busy days, you'll be there in good time for lunch without a reservation.

Great atmosphere in a special setting. The food was delicious and everything was well prepared! We came here for dinner on Saturday night, and unfortunately the only disappointment was that our service was on the slower side and lacking attention. Regardless, this was still a great experience - we look forward to coming back next time we're in town!

Very good food, very friendly staff. Very clean restrooms. Always busy – reservations are recommended. The menu seems to change frequently. It offers only a few, very select dishes. There's even a dish designed for two people. A very extensive wine list. All in all, everything was great!

A little out of the city ( 20 min walk ) but.. the food, venue, and area was all amazing. This was our highlight restaurant whilst we were in Amsterdam. Nothing felt rushed, the food was exceptional and we would go again without hesitation.

A nice place to eat! Fancy looks. Great that most of the menue is vegetarian! You don‘t normally see that in NL, very progressive. The dishes looked amazing, although for the price the portions could have been a bit bigger. Generally recommended though!

I definitely recommend a visit here. The food is out of this world, visually appealing, taste is divine and texture is amazing. The atmosphere in warmer weather is perfect, so ideal if you only want to enjoy some drinks as well. Nice restaurant, but no high chairs for babies! A bit hard to believe

A spacious, elegant, and quiet place, reminiscent of a winter garden with a terrace, located near the zoo. We enjoyed the fresh dishes, offering a refined take on Middle Eastern cuisine—hummus, falafel, pasta, and more. The service was friendly, though a little slow.

Really nice looking restaurant next to the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam. The food was really excellent and well presented and decent portion sizes. Its a very nice place to go for special occasions. My only feedback is that they should be more attentive to when people need a drink. Loved it though!

The place is beautiful and well cared for, but unfortunately the staff were inattentive and unhelpful. We asked several times about options for our child—not because we expected a kids’ menu, but simply for guidance—yet no one gave us a clear answer. What disappointed us was not the lack of options, but the dismissive attitude.

Buiten eten hier op een mooie zomeravond is fijn omdat het zo'n mooie plek is. Het eten is niet zo bijzonder maar wel ok. De ravioli ziet er niet aantrekkelijk uit, beetje op het bord gesmeten, maar smaakt wel goed. De beignets zijn wel lekker, de parfait van gevogelte en procureur ruikt en smaakt naar teveel kruidnagel. Hoofdgerechten zijn wat saai, de ravioli en het rode vlees. De bediening hier is altijd slecht, vanaf het begin zo geweest. De bediening kijkt niet om zich/haar heen, en staat vooral met elkaar te kletsen en drinken (!). De wijnkaart vergeten ze, ook worden de lege borden na heel veel tijd pas weggehaald (de tafel blijft vies achter), er wordt ook niet gevraagd of je de kaart misschien nog wil zien voor een dessert of koffie, dus dat laten we dan maar zitten. Betalen moet weer bij iemand anders en als die eindelijk komt is de batterij leeg van haar machine... Pfff... Waar is de manager van dit restaurant? Zo jammer dit.

Waiting 50 minutes for a risotto was a bit bizarre.

We stopped by the zoo on a bike tour through Amsterdam. Given our limited time and the very high entrance fee, we decided to go next door and have a coffee here. The outdoor seating area is very idyllic, and the coffee is cheaper than in some cafes. However, the waiters made it clear that if you weren't going to eat, you might have to hurry. But it was still nice.

Köstliche Gerichte hübsch angerichtet in cooler Umgebung :-) Die Sardinen kann ich wärmstens empfehlen, der Diamanthaas war auch deliciös!

The location, building, and ambiance are highly recommended: see other reviews. We made a reservation, paid in advance, and then they asked for confirmation again on Sunday morning. Strange. If you're going to eat here, definitely check the menu beforehand, as they don't serve burgers or satay. I can imagine there might be some competition if you have small children. Our group finished their plates, so no issues. No complaints about the meager portions either. Prices are certainly reasonable (for a AAA+ location). The toilet was downright dirty (1130). Afterwards, of course, we went to Artis Zoo; a great combination.

Culinary finesse without the price. Lovely place at the edge of the Artis zoo, where you can see the various birds while on the terrace, in an old and classical building related to the original zoo.

We ordered the artichoke dip—we received a hummus dip, then they charged us for it. We asked for the check twice, and it took 30 minutes to receive. The table we sat at was covered in refuse and they did not take it or wipe the table down. If you are a tourist—DO NOT COME HERE. It is clear they do not like or want to serve English speakers.

In my opinion the Mediterranean food was far too expensive for what you get in terms of volume and taste.
