Best vegan food i ever had !!! Awesome atmosphere!!

A super ugly and dirty old building where sawing was going on outside on the patio—which you certainly can't call a patio. None of the staff comes to ask if they can help. From the outside, it's completely unclear whether it's a restaurant or whether you can sit inside. Absolutely not recommended.

Alternative restaurant. You can choose your own meal, ranging from €5 to €25. Delicious dishes. Drinks are priced at "normal" prices. The atmosphere is very relaxed. They cook for you (choose from two dishes), serve the food, and wash the dishes. You pick up your own meal and return the used dishes afterward. The portions are adjusted to your preference. The atmosphere is very pleasant, thanks in part to the friendly, relaxed service. Due to the enormous space, it can be a bit noisy. Highly recommended!

The community kitchen at Sering has been a home and a rock of support in moments many of us might temporarily not have a place to call home. Affordable, very friendly and welcoming staff and super inclusive! They deserve all the support in the world because they offer something not many do nowadays. Thanks!

An open atmosphere perfect for chatting, playing games, and deep conversations. I felt completely welcome; it's amazing how they can make such delicious and healthy food for such a reasonable price. A donation/amount for dinner is yours to choose, ranging from €2.50 to €14. It starts with soup and bread, followed by a main course. Both options include a choice of two. (So, if you're a picky eater, this might not be the place for you.)

Came here because I was staying alone at the local Meininger. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of people, which was surprising but made for a good atmosphere. Everybody seems friendly. I'd happily come again!

One of my favorite places in amsterdam!! Nice short walk from sloterdijk station. The food is yummy and affordable and everyone is so sweet. You can also come volunteer to cook on Sundays! The chef is hot too

Wonderful, yummy, hearty food at great prices, and in a welcoming enjoyable spot. The food varies enough to enjoy coming back day after day.

The food from the local kitchen was super delicious again! We had a very nice drink with more than 30 people after the premiere of our no-budget film in De Sloot. About half continued to eat. The people who had never been there were very surprised by the quality of the food!

Favorite folk cuisine! The food here is delicious all week long, well priced and the atmosphere is good. The test table is also highly recommended, my housemates and I had a very nice experience. Nice dishes, attentive waiter who took the trouble to select the ends of the bread for her at the request of one of us, and even came with a glass of pickle juice when someone at the table joked about it. Very good price-quality ratio there too!

Delicious tasty food. Everything served here is vegan and home cooked. I tried the regular dinner for which we can pay any amount upwards of 2.50 euros. You get a soup and a main course for this, and both of them were healthy and tasty. It really gives you the feeling of "food that's been prepared with love". You can volunteer at the kitchen, I did that twice and it was fun both times. Volunteers get free cooking workshops from the headchef and can eat for free while volunteering.

De Sering is an absolute must. We did the 'Test Table'. 7 vegan courses with a 1/2 Wine pairing. A minimum of €35 pp, excl. drinks is reasonable. Both the dishes and the (natural) wines were absolutely top-notch. Friendly employees. What adds to the experience is the 'little string', '80s vibe of the Sering. Large bare warehouse with long wooden tables. The image of this is that you share the same experience with the other guests. Nice. And if you look around you, you are (un)consciously made to think about people and the environment. Also beautiful.

Was there once for their 5 course tasting menu. Worth the expense. Rest of the times for their super economical buffet and drinks. Loved it

The concept is very cool, during the weekend you pay more for a fancy dinner, which during the week pays for cheap but good dinners for those who have less to spend. The wine pairing is also very nice. But don't expect an explanation of what you're eating or drinking and you definitely need the bread to fill up, as the portions are very small.

It was soup but I had to get me some seconds! I was reluctant at first but my taste buds reassured me and the bread was just as good. I am definitely coming back here again😋

An extremely valuable addition to the environment, you can go here for a dish where you can pay the price yourself between €2.50 and €15.00, for which you eat what is available. The atmosphere is very open and invites you to get in touch with your fellow human beings. Come here for a beer!

It's a social service lunch buffet. You pay a very minimal amount and eat as much as you want. The best part is the sour dough bread with aioli 🤩. Food won't be that tasty but healthy and fresh. Cozy vibes!

Great place near Sloterdijk. I believe it was set up by the same owner of De Ceuvel. In the summer you can sit outside. A popular kitchen during the week and a vegan test table at the weekend. During the week you can choose from 2 vegan soups and 2 main courses and serve as you please. You donate between 2.50 and 7.50 euros. It's worth it just for the homemade bread and the dips they serve with it. I have a strip card and when it is full you can go to the testing table at a discount. A 5-course vegan menu is served there. Super fun experience.

The best place to eat in Amsterdam, idea of this place is awesome. The food is delicious.

De Sering is a great place for anyone who wants to get together, eat cheaply (vegan!), and drink non-alcoholic. For popular cuisine there is always a starter and main course, usually soup, pasta or curry. In terms of price, it is on a donation basis, from 2.50 to 7.50. The evening itself is also unique every time, sometimes there is art, a film is shown, or there are fire eaters. And apart from that, there is always nice music. There is often a dessert that costs a little extra, such as banana bread or poppy seed cake.

Tasty snacks, beautifully made, great atmosphere, but portions far too small. I returned home hungry. Tip for the restaurant: not everyone likes dessert, have one instead of 2 desserts or make a choice.

The food here was great. When I went there, they served tomato soup and this was the first tomato soup I actually liked. It was that good. The other food there was great as well, but especially the bread. My friends and I were loving the bread. I just had to ask for the recipe and they were actually so kind that they gave it to me! I totally recommend this place, the atmosphere was great and everyone was super sweet. Next time that I visit Amsterdam, I'm 100% coming back!

Nice location, especially because of the goals and principles, nice that it exists

Colorful meeting place in the middle of an industrial area next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, where people from different backgrounds and (sub)cultures are unconditionally welcomed to enjoy affordable plant-based dishes and inclusive events together. Huge source of inspiration and connection in which a sense of community and sharing is central. Easy to reach by train (5 min walk from station) and by car. Suitable for a casual coffee for two or an extensive dinner with a group.

Can’t express how much we love this place, the food, the people, and what they’re doing!! Our first time trying a whole vegan meal and it was our best meal ever!! There was not a dish that didn’t surprise us with how good it tasted. Loveee the bread too. We would loveeee to come back here as often as we can. We also came for lunch and we were also satisfied with the cozy, hearty dishes they had.

This cozy and intimate location hosts a healthy people’s kitchen, a monthly music program and a social event circle run by local and international volunteers, within a welcoming open attitude that keeps encouraging public spaces to exist! :)

We had dinner with our team at De Sering last week and it was perfect. The food was simply amazing, plentiful and surprising. Great space, not too noisy. Extremely friendly cook and host. We love what De Sering stands for and can't wait to go back for yet another unforgettable evening.

De Testtafel was fantastisch. Zeven overheerlijke gangen, alles plantaardig. Wat een sensatie voor de smaakpapillen. De DJ had van mij niet gehoeven, maar het waanzinnig lekkere eten maakte alles goed.

Vegan restaurant waar je een heerlijk 7 gangen diner kunt eten tegen een lage prijs en waar een hele goede sfeer hangt. De wijnen zijn ook top. En je draagt bij aan een betere wereld door hierheen te gaan.
