The espresso was ok but lacked body. Shouldn't because the medium dark roasted beans should extract well. I asked the owner (?) was it a choice to have a longer ratio in the espresso. (Polite way to say its a bit watery) She was trying her best to reveal nothing, as if protecting trade secrets! Funny!

Truly one of the coziest brunch places with a warm host! We find ourselves coming back for the Halloumi toast every now and then.

I walked into Nana Coffee House spontaneously, looking for something warm for my sore throat. I ordered a 'simple' ginger tea with lemon and honey, but what a pleasant surprise! The place looked cozy from the outside, but inside it was even warmer and more inviting, with a homely atmosphere and an open view of the kitchen where fresh dishes were being prepared. It smelled amazing, the menu looked very tempting, and the staff were SUPER friendly with EXCELLENT service. I’ll definitely be back once I’m feeling better! :-)

Great place for breakfast! Good food, very nice guys, nice atmosphere, the best prices we've found so far, and fast too (compared to the Dutch average, where they tend to serve very slowly). The coffee is a bit acidic, but I noticed that in Holland they like coffee with lightly roasted beans, so I think it's a characteristic of the place.

It’s possibly the best way to start your journey in Amsterdam. Either by sitting outside or inside with a lovely view of Hoofddorpplein. I was mesmerized by the constant flow of cars, bikes and tram while having my breakfast. The service is absolutely lovely both times we visited. You have quick access to a tram stop and the quality and variety of the food for the price couldn’t be better!

Mis dos amigos visitaron el día anterior en la calle Sat 31. Me uní a ellos la mañana del domingo 1 de junio en la calle; y qué puedo decir... este fue uno de los mejores desayunos que he tenido. Los productos más frescos y sabrosos - cocinado a la perfección y uno de los cafés más suaves / agradables que he tomado. Una hermosa dama rubia alta nos sirvió, y en realidad sirvió a todos en frente en lo que fue una mañana bastante ocupada - pero todos fueron atendidos con prontitud, y de una manera educada y profesional. Este lugar era con mucho el mejor lugar de desayuno en el que he estado, no solo en Amsterdam, sino en los últimos años!

Nice local place for all-day breakfast. They have selection of sandwiches and egg dishes, shakshuka. Coffes are good, there are also juices and mimosa / prosecco. Prices are really affordable. Atmosphere is cozy, they have tables and benches outside for sunny day. Service is friendly and fast. My go-to in this area.

I swear this is the best breakfast in Amsterdam. We have been here about a week, and are compulsive restaurant go-ers when we travel, so we’ve tried just about every place within walking distance. Once we came to Nana’s we just simply could not go anywhere else. The food/coffee is great for a very reasonable price, the servers are sweet and attentive, and the ambiance is just lovely. It’s a very well decorated and warm restaurant. AND (for Americans specifically here) they don’t charge for still water- you don’t have to ask for it either, it’s at every table. It’s right next to the tram station too, so easy to get in and out before a long day. Truly if you can pop in to eat here, it is absolutely worth it. 💛

Juro que este es el mejor desayuno de Amsterdam. Hemos estado aquí alrededor de una semana, y somos compulsivos restaurantes ir - ers cuando viajamos, así que hemos probado casi todos los lugares a poca distancia. Una vez que llegamos a Nana simplemente no podíamos ir a ningún otro lugar. La comida / café es genial por un precio muy razonable, los servidores son dulces y atentos, y el ambiente es simplemente encantador. Es un restaurante muy bien decorado y cálido. Y (para los estadounidenses específicamente aquí) no cobran por el agua quieta - tampoco tienes que pedirla, está en cada mesa. Está justo al lado de la estación de tranvía también, por lo que es fácil entrar y salir antes de un largo día. Verdaderamente si puedes venir a comer aquí, vale la pena. 💛

Mi novia y yo vinimos aquí en los últimos dos días de nuestras vacaciones y simplemente nos encantó aquí. Excelentes porciones, precios, y todo sabía fantástico. Muy agradable, personal cálido junto con el restaurante en sí. Además, el único lugar donde en Amsterdam nos sirvieron agua de forma gratuita. Realmente un gran lugar para empezar nuestros días.

Heerlijk lunch, hele leuke bediening en ik zou er zo weer gaan eten. Zeer smaakvolle gerechten, ruime keuze vegetarisch. We waren met een grote groep maar alles liep op rolletjes.

Don't understand what it is nowadays that a lot of new coffee bars in Amsterdam don't have any filter coffees to offer. That's the basis of a good coffee place. Seems like their high ratings are more based on the food. The flat white was ok, nothing special about the beans they used. The carrot cake was really nice and tasty, although on the expensive side for a small piece. Would recommend it for the food, which looked delicious and the carrot cake was pretty good. If you're searching for a good (speciality) coffee place, you should try Friedhats, Rum Baba, or Bocca. They're really great and have a wide selection of beans to choose from.

Certainly the best place in the area. I highly recommend Flatbread Sunshine! Especially perfect with chicken and egg, or by itself! There are many other delicious options on the menu, but this is certainly my favorite. What I also appreciate a lot is super good quality coffee and lots of milk alternatives. And the most important thing is people who work here - amazing and kindest team!

Beautiful ambience. Great diverse menu. We had breakfast here every day during our vacation (6 times and always tried something delicious). Each of the dishes tasted great and looked great! The employees are extremely friendly and attentive. Price-performance ratio is top. Gladly again and again!

A cute coffee place with an outdoor seating. Their coffee was good but we didn’t like their brownie as it was too dry + it’s relatively small portion for sweet-lovers. Their menu had some interesting things - I would give another go if im passing nearby.

So good we came here 2 days in a row... Super friendly service, delicious food, great location to sit outside and watch the city while you have coffee.

Very successful concept. They bring a bottle of water to the table straight away, nice. Breakfast consisting of a hot drink, a juice and a bowl or a lunch consisting of a hot drink, a juice, sandwich/flatbread and cake is offered. Overall it is cheaper than elsewhere individually. Shakshuka impressed me, served in a small pan it has a really authentic taste. Coffee good, tea loose in large cups. Service extra attentive. Great!

Stumbled upon this gem while walking and it blew me away.

Nana Coffee House is BY FAR the best little coffee shop in Amsterdam. My husband and I have been living in the neighborhood for 3 months and I go every morning for coffee. We have also had several meals there and the food is excellent as well. "Nana" and her staff are friendly, helpful and incredibly nice. We are heading back to the United States next week and I will miss this place. We plan on coming back to Amsterdam next year again for four months and regardless of where we live, I will make the trip to Nana's every morning again, it is that good.
