Look, that’s exactly what we want. Having lunch in the shade of a tree after a beautiful bike ride. A breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of Texel’s hospitality scene. A friendly owner who praises the visitors with a wink. Crispy croquettes and a fantastic carpaccio. The local beer goes down nicely, and a singing bird hovers overhead. Reasonable prices to top it all off. Keep it up!

Surprising location. We had already sat on the terrace once and now decided to enjoy a nice meal. This is a small theater where you can eat right by the stage. Choice between a set menu or à la carte. Both are possible. Service super friendly, even towards our labrador... a great place to be and the burger was very tasty.

The waiters are very friendly and really enjoy serving you. The apple pie is a true masterpiece and a true experience! The food is what you would expect in a fine restaurant., not a theatre

Great place for dinner. Surprisingly for the Netherlands, they serve local cuisine. The food was very well prepared, and the fish was cooked to perfection. It's not expensive, considering the country. Two starters, two main courses, and drinks came to €90. The local lamb was delicious, as was the soup of the day (asparagus) and the fish of the day (pollock or similar). The staff were very friendly and gave excellent recommendations.

Nice restaurant that can also be used as a theater. So it has a stage too. The food is well prepared and very tasty. The host takes the time for a friendly chat. Highly recommended.

We have been coming to Texel for years, so we have eaten and drunk here and there on the island; a visit to De Toegift is a must for us. We have come to know both men as extremely competent and friendly. The price-quality ratio is top-notch. A tip for everyone: walk or cycle past them, have a drink and a bite to eat, but not all at once so that there is still a spot available for us.

An excellent beef stew, followed by a great performance by Frank van Pamelen. A wonderful evening. Thank you.

What a discovery! During our holiday on Texel, we stumbled upon De Toegift by chance, and what a hit it was. Besides being a fantastic theater, the food is also delicious. The service is top-notch, the atmosphere excellent, and Frank van Pamelen's show was the absolute icing on the cake. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

We visited for a concert from the brilliant violinist Micha Molthoff and de toegift turned out to be a wonderful place for the concert. .

Wonderful theater afternoon with singer and columnist Leonie Jansen! 1.5 hours straight without a break was not a good choice by artist or theater. The chairs are fine for a table, but not good for sitting for at least 1.5 hours (because we were also on time): Wooden buttocks! After the performance you could get a drink that was included in the performance at the bar. 100 people at the same time at a bar with 2 staff... . Tip: just make some tables with bottled drinks on them and several openers, so that only beer and wine drinkers report to the bar. Communicate that and see how relaxing a break can be 😉 P.s: I missed a disabled parking space outside?

Very nice atmosphere, good food, portion could be a little bigger. We didn't stay for the idea that Dutch stand-up would have failed for us because of the language barrier 😉

Cozy place to stop if you are passing through for a nice drink and snack.

Last week we were on Texel for the first time and to get to know the island we looked for a restaurant in this village on the island. We were pleasantly surprised, what a beautiful location this is with a small stage where artists come, which will probably be great when performances take place. The food was delicious and delivered very quickly, we received a very hospitable welcome and the atmosphere is also great! When we come to Texel again, they can count on our visit!

Everything from the finest, best and greatest. And best of all, the many free bonuses. So much joy, fun, happiness and health. You can't expect or get anything more. Everyone on earth should come here and marvel at the encores. Great, thank you very much for the great time

De Toegift has an extensive menu and we had a delicious meal there! The service is exceptionally friendly. Because the cook only works in the kitchen, you will have to wait a while before your meal is served, but it is well worth it!!

Ate very tasty. Even the salad was exceptional. We'll definitely come back.

I have now been able to enjoy a visit to Cliff 12 and dinner 3 times, including 2 times in the theater beforehand. Nice vibe, friendly, hospitable. Theater is optional, you can have dinner without a performance, but it is definitely recommended. We are fans!

Delicious food, Texel steak class!!!!!!!! Everything was made with love and delicious! Fresh products and you can taste it. We enjoyed! Ordered two hamburgers, very tasty, used a particularly delicious bun for hamburger. Salmon and Texel steak. For me, fries were the best I have ever eaten!!! Mega friendly staff, you immediately feel at home.

Had a very pleasant Christmas Eve: entertaining and tasty. Highly recommended, we had the venison steak and cod fillet, both perfectly flavored and attractively served. It is precisely the combination of extensive tasty food and fun entertainment that makes this a great Christmas Eve, great team!

What a lovely place to be, the food is delicious! In addition, there are 1st class cabaret performances, dinner shows and if not (lunch) there are hosts who immediately provide a warm welcome. Delicious beers on tap and very child-friendly!

Schönes Restaurant mit Theaterbühne. Die Tische stehen angenehm weit auseinander. Sehr luftiger Raum mit weiteren Sitzmöglichkeiten eine Etage höher. Wir waren im Urlaub dort zweimal essen und waren vom Texeler Lammfleisch begeistert. Vor- und Nachspeise waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Het is een super leuke plek om even van het fietsen bij te komen. De gastheren zijn ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Wij drinken het plaatselijke bier en een kaasplankje van het eiland. Hier komen we nog een keer terug.

Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, nette sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Aardige gastvrije dame in de bediening. Lekker Texels biertje gedronken en een babbeltje gemaakt.

Erg leuk restaurant. Lekker eten voor een prima prijs in het sfeervolle Den Hoorn. Ook de bediening is uiterst vriendelijk en correct. We komen hier graag weer terug!!!

Ein tolles Lokal mit netten und vor allem aufmerksamen Bedienungen. Das Essen war sehr gut (wir hatten Lamm und Muschel). Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Ein sehr gemütlicher Biergarten mit viel Privatsphäre. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, mit Raffinesse und einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zwiebelsuppe, Brotplatte, Steak mit Champignonsauce und Käseplatte haben uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Eine umfangreiche Bierkarte gibt es ebenfalls. Wir hatten hier den schönsten Abend auf Texel und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
