Great service and delicious food!

3 years ago I gave five stars - quiet atmosphere; super tasty and original food. I came here almost every week. Now new owner and all originality and quality is gone. Ordered a BLTC and the chicken was uncomfortably greasy, bread cut awkwardly thick. Cook had greasy curls hanging loosely, not very hygienic. Shame

I had the sandwich with pesto, mozerella tomato. That really tasted 0% like pesto. I asked afterwards if there was only arugula leaves in it instead of basil. Really gross. The cheese also looked more like goat cheese than mozerella. I don't recommend this place for food. The seating areas are also super inefficient and crappy with bar stools.

What a nice place to sit. Recently taken over by new owners. Atmosphere is good, service is sweet and attentive, and the menu is tasty and varied. The BLTC is absolutely recommended, I can eat it every day!

UPDATE: new owner. New map. Lots of similar things. But the çilbir has disappeared from the map. What a disaster. You can read my review below as an archaeological phenomenon. You can't leave two reviews on Google, but if the owner changes, I think that should be possible hehe. Without yogurt and without sauce, a thick slice of bread is not a delicacy but a cinnamon challenge without cinnamon flavor. Old review: Do you know the phenomenon that you believe something and also have memories of it, but these are not true? The Mandela effect. That's what I have with this case. I swear I was at Omelegg. And also recognize the stylized logo. And now it's called the Bouncer and you start to doubt yourself. What you should not hesitate about is the map. A new chef has now arrived, de Çilbir, and the bottom side of a thick slice of bread is covered in creamy yogurt and the still crispy top is covered with egg and chili oil. They call it chili butter, but it is liquid and it is very difficult to distinguish. You think how can I get rid of that piece of bread, but the balance between creamy and tart, wet and dry makes it a very balanced meal. I had initially checked that I had breakfast here, but ordering took so long that it became brunch. Kitchen was very fast!

We attended an event at the convention center, starting at 2pm on the first day, so we decided to try this restaurant right across from RAI Amsterdam. It was quite busy, and they informed us there would be a 30-minute wait. However, even as the place started to empty out, we kept waiting. After 45 minutes, we asked about our order and were told that it hadn’t even been started. Finally, an hour later, they handed us takeaway sandwiches, but half of them were incorrect. The staff offered only a brief apology and made no effort to resolve the issue. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, and I would not recommend this place.

After waiting 1.5 hours our order still did not arrive. Very bad service! Not recommended!

It's not possible to quickly make a cappuccino to take away here. Takes too long and order is wrong. In the end it was a black coffee due to time constraints, but the coffee was good.

The girls in the cafeteria are charming, they speak Spanish and they treated us wonderfully. The food was very very delicious, I 100% recommend you go here to eat.

Friendly cook and waiter. Good music, chilling atmosphere. Cuisine With quality products, healthy and vegetarian options.

The place looks nice from the outside. However, when we entered it was blue with smoke. In addition, there were many tables that had not yet been cleared. Then there were also few sweet snacks available. In principle, the coffee tasted fine, but it was very unpleasant that it still had lipstick from the previous drinker on it. It could be that today was a bad day, but from reading other reviews I don't suspect so. I don't recommend it here.

We were 4, and had breakfast. Really tasteful. Pretty decent, nothing more and nothing less than described in the menu.

The food was super tasty and the cappuccino, simply perfect. Sandra, our barista, was lovely and professional, very empathetic and helpful!

I ordered the French toast, and I got a rotten banana as fruit. No fresh red fruit as mentioned on the menu. The whole plate did not look attractive at all, burnt toast. After I told the waiter, he did nothing about it, just blamed the chef... also the whole place smells strongly from the kitchen.

Meh. Good meal presentation, the bread could have been toasted (or warmed) on Smoked Salmon. The business is much older that the pictures on thr website. I was looking forward to a bright sunny breakfast place this was pretty dingy, faded colors. The service was fine, I asked three times for water with our breakfast. Overall, average.

Cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Went every day before the conference and had a good meal and good coffee!

We had a really filling breakfast here before a long day at the Keukenhof. I ordered the classic with eggs and roast beef.

Lovely little breakfast/brunch spot that my friend and I discovered near the hotel. Food & drink options were yummy & reasonably priced. The staff is lovely but sometimes when it gets busy the organisation might get a little chaotic, so if you’re in a rush this might not be for you. Definitely recommend sitting outside on a nice sunny day. Hartelijk dank ✨

Worst service we have ever experienced. Everyone is completely overwhelmed. Even after 45 minutes you don't get a menu. There is no more food available even though the restaurant is normally full. You're better off looking elsewhere.

Said no room available to serve for 1 person while bar was almost empty.

After waiting 15-20 minutes for service (average crowds) a lady came by. She first served the people on the other side of the same table, cleared our side, looked at us and then pulled out a sign saying 'reserved' and told us we couldn't sit here. She didn't offer another free table either. We understand the shortage of staff in the catering industry, but this kind of rudeness is not acceptable anywhere. We have had a good meal here before, but then we probably always met the owner. Tip: Hire staff who love their job.

We were here for my friend’s birthday trip. We ordered brunch. 2 juices and 2 coffees plus food. The food was good but the service was appalling. We waited half an hour for the 2 coffees. The juice drinks were never brought out until we asked for them when the food came. The food took 45 minutes for some granola and eggs on toast. I was told there wasn’t any sugar when there was (I had to get it from another table). We weren’t given any cutlery with the food until we had to ask again. Would not recommend.

Super convenient stop before heading on the bus to Keukenhof. Quick easy breakfast of eggs and cheese on a crunchy toast with bacon as well… mmm. And the croissant with Nutella was also delicious.

An employee was rude and called us directly to the bar, even though there was room to sit at the normal table. He said we have to wait at the bar and eat/drink there. We then asked another employee and she said there was enough space at the tables and we were welcome to sit there. The service is sometimes unfriendly. The ambience is not inviting. It only has a few seats and they are cramped and uncomfortable. Okay for a quick breakfast, but not suitable for a good gourmet breakfast.

- Expensive for what you get. - Service really very substandard. A man is a company manager(?). He tries to save it a little, but the rest... Phew; It took a long time before someone came to take drinks and asked for a menu. Did not get. Food is brought. Cutlery is not there yet. etc etc. - Few vegetarian options. It's 2024 people.

Interessante format che alterna una classica caffetteria con l’offerta di piatti semplici con materie organica prima di alta qualità ( soprattutto uova ) Disponibili sia tavoli che tavolini ed anche tavoli alti con sgabelli. Nella bella stagione disponibili anche i tavoli all’esterno. Cordiale il servizio ( i junior un poco impacciati ma va bene ) Prezzi nella media ( locale ) Merita un passaggio se vi piace il genere.

You did it, you finally made it to Amsterdam and the best country in the world, but the catch is you have to attend a convention.. The food at the convention hall is fine, or better than most, but if you need a break and wish to have an excellent meal without a wait, walk across the street and visit De Uitsmijter. The food was amazing, the staff were very happy to ensure you are set. Oh, be sure to check out the sinks in the WC as it is very Dutch and it made me smile.

If you really want to have lunch in a cozy atmosphere in Amsterdam, you are more than welcome here.

- Duration, - very small portions, - during lunch time products are already gone, and they always say that it has been busy. - Number of times I tried, it gets worse and worse. - slow and bad service. Vermaz is two doors down. Here you get quality for the price you pay!

Service was kind but the quality of the food has decreased. The bread was not rustic as before and the eggs were not runny. Perhaps some people enjoy it this new way, but I prefer the older version.

Google Maps says that the kitchen closes at 3:00 PM, but that is misleading and incorrect. We arrived at 2:30 PM and were no longer allowed to order food. The service was really unprecedentedly anti-social

I have no chance to have a breakfast here, we have 6 peoples and the guy looks like not welcome us when we step in the restaurant even we are happy to sit into 2 tables and the tone to us is not patience to us at all

I almost fell when I entered. The business is very slippery due to a leak that has been unresolved for a long time. I was here 2 weeks ago and exactly the same, very dangerous. The food is also fine, but we had to wait quite a while even though there was room.

Nice place opposite the RAI. Delicious lunch (salmon sandwich and salad). Everything was top notch at a reasonable price.

The food was fine, but first of all we were not served so I finally placed my order at the cash register. After 20 minutes someone came and asked what we had ordered because the note was lost. And then after another 20 minutes we finally got our food. Too bad, because it was a nice tent

Really nice brunch, Toast with eggs, ham, cheese, avocado. Orange Juice, Cappuccino, Rooibos Tea. All delicious

They did not consider our request regarding food allergies. The cook works alone and has to hurry, he puts the bread slices on the edge of the sink, where he breaks the eggs, the hygiene mistakes are amazingly sad.

Good food, good service, just one Dutch man who works there who is very rude and self entitled. Would we recommend? I’m not sure. There are many places in Amsterdam with good food. Would not waste my time here if I was you.

Very mediocre. We had made a reservation but there was no table available when we arrived. Even though we were already 5 minutes late. It took another 10 minutes to be seated. In the meantime no opportunity to order a drink was offered. All in all we had been inside for over an hour before we got the food, which was also mediocre. Several parts of the dishes were simply forgotten and then after asking about it, the solution was also, again, mediocre. Service slow and disorganised as well. No desire to return, unfortunately.

The worst of the worst experience i’ve ever had in a restaurant. What a shame. First of all, our food took an hour and 15 mins to arrive for just some toasts with eggs on the top. My team and I had an important event to attend and we were running late and whenever we followed up they would say to us it will come in a couple of minutes. And when i complained to the manager, the extremely rude chef came out and started threatening me and wanting to make a fight. The manager backed him up. They didn’t even apologize or try to make up for their terrible service. The food is also below average and not even worth a second of the wait. Our overall experience was beyond horrible and I would never recommend anyone to go there at all. The worst hospitality i’ve ever experienced in Amsterdam

28/01/24 Ordered 2 cappuccinos, they were like latte macchiato (no foam). One of the two cookies was wet. I then went back and said it and the waiter was very kind and understanding, and she offered 2 other cappuccino. They were good but one of the spoon was dirty (there was some white crusty stuff)

Great place for a nice breakfast and/or lunch. The food tasted amazing and fresh. The staff is very nice and there is a chill atmosphere with nice music playing. I highly recommend it if you are close by and in need of a quick bite!

Food is great, it's not a huge menu but tasty brunch food. The service is very kind but last time they took way too long to serve and they got a couple things wrong/ forgot to bring. I think they were understaffed that day.

We’re visiting from NZ and we found this cafe by chance. It’s hands down the best cafe in Amsterdam - superb coffee, fantastic food, hip decor and the friendliest nicest staff on the planet. I would have given 10 stars if I could.

Went for the coffee but saw another group having brunch and we decided to order some too. Taste and looks amazing!! They also had gluten free bread so you can order all the sandwiches as gluten free. The coffee was really good too.

Found the place by accident, and definitely will visit again when in Amsterdam. €17 set -- just +€2 when compared to a breakfast offered by a nearby motel -- is simply a no brainer. Een uitsmijter is delicious (even if the cook's pans fly from his hands ;)).

Perfect place for a weekend brunch, especially if you are looking for quieter places. Lovely service!

Super vriendelijk personeel. Service is snel en verzorgd. Alleen een beetje vreemd dat de chips in een zakje wordt geserveerd, een schaaltje is denk ik leuker. Wel lekkere chips!

Cooles entspanntes Café. Man hat viel Raum als Gast und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein Hummus, Avocado 🥑 Brot, was sehr lecker und echt viel war 🙂 für 6,50 voll gut. Besonders das Zitronengras hat das ganze echt abgerundet 🙂. Ansonsten hatten wir noch ein Croissant 🥐 und einen Amerikanischen Kaffee. Allen in allen war es top.

Super leuk tentje om te lunchen. Echt heerlijke uitsmijters! Vooral die met kaas en ham of de gerookte zalm. En de koffie is heel lekker. Zeker een aanrader :)

Come here if you have a whole morning to waste. We made a reservation, showed up on time, only to wait at an uncleaned table for 40 minutes until finally someone came to take our order. Then another 30 minutes for the food to come (when the place was already empty). This place is in severe shortage of staff. Two stars for the food - nice but does not worth the waiting. The staffs are friendly, but unfortunately way toooo busy :(

De uitsmijters zijn top! Als we hier in de buurt moeten ontbijten/brunchen, is dit de plek waar we heen gaan voor een uitsmijter. Helaas zit het soms wel vol met mensen die een werkgerelateerde meeting hebben, wat soms een beetje overlast geeft.

Very slow service….do not go in a rush
