Booked Teds for breakfast instead of our hotel. Did not regret. Great service, great food, great coffee. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection with runny yolk. French toast Wasalam wonderful, as were the oats and yoghurt.

Poor service, waitress with attitude, food wasn’t what was described on the menu & then took half the meal away and tried to charge us the full amount. Cute cafe, but poor service & bad food. Re-consider your choices respectfully.

Overall highly disappointing. It took the staff 30 mins to come take our order. Then another 45 mins to serve us. And when we finally got our food 3 out of the 5 dishes were cold. The portions aren’t very generous and additionally, no one enjoys a dry&cold French toast. It was quite busy and they may have been understaffed, but that’s poor planning on the management’s part.

Wonderful spot! Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time, it can get busy but the service doesn’t fall short because of it.

The triple omega was amazing and Pernika was super nice to all of us, she even offered my friend a cake and a glass of champagne for her birthday 💛

Nice food offer, perfect for brunch or coffee

What a disappointing and frustrating experience. The service was subpar. We had to wait far too long to even be seated, and the staff had no idea how our reservation worked. The waitress then claimed it was "our fault" and that we supposedly didn't hear her mention our reservation. This is absolutely untrue and came across as incredibly condescending. As if that wasn't enough, the table next to us had the exact same problem with this waitress, so it's clearly not our fault. Furthermore, we sat for over an hour without anyone asking us anything or bringing us any food. We had booked high tea, but there was absolutely no high tea service. And then there was this: there was a hair in our food. With such poor service, you don't expect much, but this is truly unacceptable. The way we were treated was downright rude and disrespectful. I will never return here. The only reason it has one star is because the food, despite everything, was still reasonably good. Absolutely not recommended.

Not worth your money or your time. Food is super greasy and all tastes the same (a lot of bread is used to fill you cheaply), service is poor - you basically need to ask for anything. No vegetarian options unless you explicitly ask for it. Would highly recommend trying another place

A lovely place with a lot of potential. We had the afternoon tea deal, which included delicious food. However, we felt it was quite small for the price. Furthermore, the service was really poor. We were there for about three or four hours, and not once was we asked if we were okay or if we wanted another drink.

Food was alright however we got the shared brunch with unlimited fries and only got one portion of fries. Waited more than 30 minutes to be served again, had to go to the bar to ask for a refil on the fries and they told us it s too late and they need our table for other customers. Who does that? Unprofessional and expensive

The food was very good, but if you don't have much time or aren't very hungry, don't visit them on weekends. It took us over an hour and a half to get an meal. Very busy.

We popped in and were pleasantly surprised by this little place. A lovely, cozy place to eat and chat. The food is delicious and well-prepared. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; they even managed to change our eggs from poached to scrambled and even added extra brioche bread. A cozy spot that truly represents a slice of Amsterdam.

Walked all the way here, it is 2:30pm. The lady told us she cannot serve us, as at 3pm she will be alone and cannot attend to all tables. There were few tables empty inside and 2 empty outside. We asked when the kitchen closes and she said at 4pm. We explained that it was our last day and we had walked a long way to get there, she spent 10 minutes telling us that she can’t be able to serve us (3 people) instead of asking what would we like/ what were we thinking of having etc. So then she said that the inside tables were already booked, we said “ok well maybe we can sit outside?” , she answered no as she will be closing the outside area soon. I really didn’t appreciate her behaviour, she was apologetic but I mean… we just wanted to order this famous chicken donut and a coffee and leave… not that big of a deal, would have been done by 3pm. In the meantime people were sitting outside with food being brought to the table as we spoke to her. Absolutely ridiculous.

We came to Ted’s in Amsterdam for breakfast and were refused service even though it was well within opening hours, the kitchen was still open as well and there were free tables available. The staff said only one person would be serving all tables, which really shouldn’t be the customer’s problem, especially when there were at least three staff members around at the time. We were really looking forward to trying it since it was our last day in Amsterdam and we hadn’t eaten all day, but the experience was honestly disappointing.

There was only one waiter named Amy and she did all the service in the whole restuarant she did such a great job but they are definitely understaffed

This used to be one of our all-time favorite brunch places, but yesterday we ate there and the music was insanely loud. Much louder than usual. And almost impossible to have a conversation. When I asked the staff if they could maybe lower the volume a tad I got a very impolite 'no'. Later she said this is part of the new 'brunch-vibe'. Well, this brunch-vibe is not for us. We would like to be able to sit and enjoy the food with conversation. So unfortunately, despite the good food, we will not return.

The waitress was very friendly and helpful! We were seated quickly and welcomed promptly. The atmosphere was great and the music was good. The food arrived on time and was delicious; we left feeling very full! The price for two people was really reasonable. We will definitely be back!

As an American, I found the place very beautiful. However, the server was incredibly condescending, rude and dismissive. She not in soo many words told us to leave with her sarcastic remarks and unwelcoming energy! Highly disappointed. I was looking forward to enjoy Ted’s but was incredibly dissapointed by our server. Perhaps, it’s because I’m black. Either ways, highly disappointed and will not be going back there

Ted’s is the perfect Amsterdam breaky spot — cozy, and full of charm. The staff are warm and welcoming, the food is fresh and beautifully done, and the coffee hits just right. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer and soak up the easy, happy vibe.

Our brunch at Teds turned out to be a real disappointment — both in the food and the service. It started with one waiter (apparently from Temper) whose behavior was downright inappropriate. He was arrogant, dismissive, and completely disregarded the fact that my friend has a gluten allergy. She was so fed up with his attitude that she decided not to order anything else after bringing her the wrong order — which says a lot about how uncomfortable the situation became. The food didn’t redeem the experience either. The breakfast burrito came smothered in a strange mango “sauce” that tasted more like a smoothie gone wrong. The “Turkish eggs” featured dill and Chinese chilli flakes (literally Lao Gan Ma), which just felt lazy and mismatched. And the French toast? Dry, bland, and uninspired. The only highlights were the coffee and fresh juices — both outsourced, ironically. On the bright side, the two ladies working there were lovely: warm, professional, and genuinely hospitable, unlike their colleague from Temper. All in all, it felt like a place relying on its name rather than its quality. Definitely not worth the money, especially when there are so many better brunch spots nearby that actually care about their guests and their food

Delicious food and great service!

The music is so loud you can't hear each other. Our request to turn it down a bit was flatly rejected: everything is like a weekend day... as if you're not allowed to talk to each other.

Love the concept. First time having a brunch at Ted's in AMS though. Super yummy food as per usual (and as per expectation). No flaws when it comes to the food itself, but it took quite a while to get it served. Service was a bit lacking. Issues with the coffee machine were not communicated properly. We were not asked whether we wanted a second round of drinks.

Lovely ambience, fresh food, warm service- what else does one want for a nice brunch with friends? The fried chicken with glazed donuts and maple syrup shot was eclectic! They also have a nice collection of coffees. Highly recommend!

Avoid french toast - very dry and limited toppings (quantity you would expect for one french toast rather than two). Pricy for what you get
