De Veldpoort in Wijk 00 Wijk bij Duurstede

Super nice restaurant in a beautiful location with a cozy terrace. Friendly and attentive service and last but not least: the tuna carpaccio salad was delicious!

Great place, sat on the terrace overlooking the little river again. Very good and friendly service with a sense of humor. But even more importantly: the food was delicious. I really appreciated it when someone came to apologize because it took a bit longer. There were two large parties inside. But we didn't wait that long at all. Once again, a big thumbs up to the staff.

Lunch on the terrace. Good service.

Cozy restaurant. There was a party in the back room where people were talking quite loudly. Beforehand, we had a mocktail mojito and a G&T 0%. Tasty! We ate chicken schnitzel and fish of the day. The chicken could have been seasoned more; the fish came with a very salty sauce. We were given a cycling and walking guide from route.nl because we were interested in the Happen en Trappen brochure. For dessert, my husband had a Coffee Complete, while I only had a cappuccino. Very tasty coffee. The liqueur with the Coffee Complete was also very good. Very friendly service!

Fantastic! Very hospitable, delicious food (carpaccio, salmon salad, tuna, Greek burger), lovely quiet terrace on the side. Enjoy! The seating inside is also very comfortable, with good acoustics.

Excellent, extensive lunch menu

The atmosphere is something you can bring to the table yourself; it's a bit crowded, but that's part of it. It's great to be here!

Cozy location, friendly staff, and the food is fantastic. You really get your money's worth. I'd say: go and experience it for yourself.

Cozy restaurant, friendly staff and fast service

Fantastic atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. Great service. We're happy to drive an hour just to have a nice, delicious meal here. Highly recommended.

Delicious, affordable food and hospitable, professional service...highly recommended!

A beautiful location for lunch or dinner. The location is right in the center of Wijk bij Duurstede. The staff are very friendly and happy to help.

Highly recommended! Good food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere.

Delicious food and great staff. We were with two young children, which is often quite hectic. They had fun toys, the food was served quickly, and the staff were very helpful. Great atmosphere.

Just had a drink here during our walk. Cozy terrace, friendly service, and a beautiful shop.

Top-notch restaurant with very friendly staff and truly excellent food and service! What more can I say? Try it yourself!

Delicious food, super cool and friendly staff with expertise. Definitely do it!

The location of the restaurant is nice, but the food… completely average.

Cozy restaurant with an inviting terrace overlooking the water. Located just off the main square of Wijk bij Duurstede. A warm welcome from a friendly young lady. Relaxed atmosphere. Ordered coffee and soup, which tasted excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent prices! Keep it up. Then people will keep coming and not stay home or go to someone else. Compliments.

Nice place to have a nice lunch. With terrace above the water.

Atmospheric restaurant in the city center. Run by a friendly couple of entrepreneurs who take excellent care of the quality of the delicious food and drinks on the terrace by the water or on the road to the center of Wijk bij Duurstede. Definitely recommended to eat spare ribs or tender satay.... and many more dishes from the chef. A household name in this historic city of Wijk bij Duurstede.

Friendly staff in a cozy cafe! The menu is modest. The smoked salmon sandwich was tasty, just what you would expect the taste to be. The house cat also came by during dinner, which is not unusual given the reactions.

Very good service and we ate well. THANKS !

We had a very nice meal and celebrated a birthday. Nice staff and excellent service!

Informal and friendly. It was full, but we certainly weren't 'crammed'. Great atmosphere! We had three different starters and two different main courses: all excellent. The beer range is gigantic, the (white) wine list is unfortunately meager and unimaginative. Here lies another opportunity...

Nice location. Bad cheap bread at the bouncer and croquettes on bread

We come here regularly. Delicious food, friendly and fast service. Cozy interior and a nice terrace for summer evenings.

Very tasty croquettes on bread and reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

Very nice and cozy place with delicious food. Staff is always super friendly.

Delicious coffee with apple pie with whipped cream. Excellent service, friendly.

Reasonable choice. Tasty food. Don't forget the sidedish (salad)

We ended up here "accidentally" once along the way, but came back very consciously the next time, because: This is the place to be for accessible, delicious dishes in a friendly, homely atmosphere! Beautiful location, great employees, you are quickly made to feel very welcome, whether you know or not.

Cozy tent, we sat here with a glass of wine

Always pleasant service, always friendly and simply delicious food. Still really paying attention to the customer in this business!

Beautiful restaurant, bistro, very atmospheric We (my husband, me and my daughter) like coming here..

Very cozy restaurant. With friendly service. And the food was really fantastic, especially the fish. They also have a wide choice of draft and bottled beer

Good food for a reasonable price. Friendly staff.

We were in Wijk for 4 days until Duurstede. From the first to the last evening we had dinner at De Veldpoort. We have rarely experienced such warm hospitality and such good food. The innkeepers and all the staff were super friendly and quick. The food was excellent, many thanks to the chef and his team. The prices were reasonable and the portions were plentiful. We felt very comfortable with Melissa and Willie and would have liked to go to them more often, but unfortunately our vacation was over. Many thanks to the team at De Veldpoort. We recommend it without reservation.

Very nice place, friendly staff

Cute restaurant right next to river. You can enjoy you food and same time look beautiful river view from balcony. Friendly staff. Our dog was welcome also. Our dinner was so good, fondue deluxe was perfect!

Buttery-tender satay, delicious satay sauce, tastiest crispy fries in years, friendly service!!!

Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere and pleasant and friendly staff

As far as I can remember, he is already sitting there on the corner in Wijk bij Duurstede, which is nice when I get there.

Cozy atmosphere, nice place. We were kindly helped. We came for lunch. I ordered a farmer's omelette, it was tasty, but I missed a nice decial sandwich or hand-cut slices or something, and some raw vegetables. If that were included it would be a big 9

Tastefully decorated and friendly service Definitely recommended

Had a delicious lunch this afternoon, highly recommended!

Had a delicious lunch this afternoon, highly recommended!

Take shelter from the rain and go inside for a glass of mint tea. Friendly greeted by an enthusiastic employee, we decided to have lunch and we enjoyed it immensely. My husband had an egg roll with 3 eggs, I had an Italian roll with beef carpaccio. Wow, the sandwich was deliciously crispy and well topped with Carpaccio! Would love to come back again

Top!!!!!! Always satisfied! Dear owners!

Nice lunch, nice location, friendly staff

Nice restaurant and great service. Nice and straight to the point. No nonsense. Spare ribs are super tasty. Fries are fried well.

What a nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere and top food. Had dinner with friends and everyone was positive. Definitely recommended if you are in Wijk bij Duurstede.

Delicious lunch. Too bad we were with a larger group, so not everyone got the food right away.

Excellent meal, pleasant, cheerful staff and owner.

Delicious lunch. The waldkorn bun with tuna was delicious

Went for dinner for the first time last night. Everything was very tasty and the blonde girl who served us was very nice and had very beautiful eyes. 😉

March 26 had a great evening with friends, parents-in-law and wife in a good and nice restaurant with great staff and good service

Delicious lunch with the participants of PlusBus033. Friendly and alert service.

Is good. Recently had dinner here again, was a bit disappointing. Dishes not as hot as they should be. It remains a snapshot of course. The unbeatable service still exists.

A nice catering opportunity. Friendly service, delicious pea soup. The chalkboard outside said accessible, if we had known the prices at the time the threshold would have been too high for us.

Delicious food, nice service and attractive atmosphere

Delicious and pleasant on the terrace, balcony over the water and in the air, I recommend it

Yes, you can enjoy good food here in Wijk bij Duurstede, reasonable prices and friendly owners and staff

A great place for a quick lunch in a warm inviting setting. Met friends for a festive season lunch. Service was quick and friendly, great Dutch dishes, had the uitsmuiter.

Enjoyed a nice glass of wine/beer with a bitterballen. With a nice employee behind the bar...always important!! See you soon.

A great team with a passion for what they do.

We had a delicious meal with a group of 13 on December 30! Warmly received by Wilfred and Melissa! Nice attention for the children, delicious relaxing food for the adults! With another nice gift from Wilfred for the children! All in all a very nice experience! Guaranteed to come back again!!!

Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Een leuke locatie. Vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk eten.

Erg lekker!! Wel wat aan de dure kant 😁

Wij komen hier 1 keer in de week. Vinden het eten en drinken erg goed, prijskwaliteit uitstekend. Melissa en Wilfred zijn toppers.

Prima diner en hele goede Flat white

Gezellige bediening. Eten is lekker!

ALTIJD TOP!!! Ons favoriete restaurantje in Wijk bij Duurstede. Het is ZO gezellig bij Wilfred & Melissa!! We komen snel weer hoor!!!!!@

Heerlijke uitsmijter en boerenomlet gegeten. Prima sfeer . Fijne lunchplaats.
