The best fries in the wider area. They source their own potatoes, cut, pre-fry, and finish frying them. Authentic Flemish sauces from Van de Moortele!! Besides beef stew, naturally there is also peanut sauce and even vegan mayo. Is there a line?? They are hard workers, you'll be served in no time 😉 Eating is done the old-fashioned way, on the street.

A great place to try authentic Dutch fries. The portions are generous, and the quality definitely exceeds the price. The staff adds finely chopped onion, which enhances the flavor. I ordered them with Joppie sauce (an iconic sauce made with mayonnaise and curry powder). The fries are well-seasoned, but not salty.

Maar tot grote teleurstelling van mijn vrouw en mij, merkte we onlangs, dat de patat nu erg in het nadeel is veranderd, het is nu niet meer als doorsnee. Misschien, omdat anders de vraagprijs te hoog zou worden? Wij betalen heel graag wat meer, als de uitzonderlijk lekkere patat, van VOOR Corona terugkomt.

You can't really expect a good ambiance from a "stall" with street sales. BUT now comes the most important part. THE FRIES ARE AMAZING!!! The prices are more than reasonable for these days. The portions are great. The owner is super nice. Bottom line: If you like FRIES, you can't go wrong here.

We regularly visit this 'chip shop' takeway, where they sell only chips [french fries, friet]. Made from the best potatoes, properly fried [their oil is never 'old'] and accompanied by a choice from an extensive range of sauces, we are never dissapointed. Reccomended to all chip lovers!

The best fries I've ever eaten. Cut from fresh potatoes and deep-fried. A huge selection of sauces makes it hard to choose, but you can choose more than one. We were surprised at how large the portion was for the relatively low price. So, be sure to try them when you're strolling around Alkmaar!

Recently got some small fries with peanut sauce. We could choose and my granddaughter wanted a small fries, we thought that must be reasonable enough. Well, well, it was shocking the amount of fries and the watery peanut sauce and…….I paid €4.10 when I was surprised to say €4.10 for this??? Said a (not fresh-looking boy at all) yes, ma'am, sauce also costs money. What a high IQ comment. Price and quantity is TOTALLY out of control. I took a picture in case people didn't believe my story. I recently got small fries at the kroky and I couldn't finish them so I'm screwed here??? Or has it become a good earning model...giving little and asking for a lot of money?? First and last time for us.

If there was a reference frit, it would be this one. Every year we go on holiday to Egmond and every time I look forward to the trip to Alkmaar, or rather the trip to De Vlaminck. A fries that are second to none. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. No comparison to anything else we have in Germany or anywhere else. Clear recommendation!

I was here twice during my stay in Alkmaar. I was served very warmly and quickly. The fries special is simply a dream. The fries are freshly made from potatoes. I've never eaten such delicious fries. You can sit on the canal and look at birds and small boats. That was absolutely a vacation. I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Alkmaar! Absolute recommendation!!!

Stopped here 3 days in a row during our bike tours, 3x large fries, 3x a dream! The chef was really nice and radiated a lot of positivity. It was fun to watch him work. I wish him and his helpers all the best! We'd love to come back :) The only drawback: closed on Sundays :( We're starving! :-D

The fries prepared in this snack bar are an absolute recommendation for a meal in between. Super crispy, well seasoned and made from high quality potatoes. There is also a large selection of different sauces to choose from, which the waitress can give you very good advice about. The price-performance ratio is extremely good, clear recommendation!

Incredibly friendly help today! There was a very strong wind and I was with the stroller. The owner saw my struggle and immediately came with a container instead of a point bag. To make matters worse, my fries and drinks fell over. New fries were immediately made and I received a new can! Enjoyed the fries at home!!

Like I always did, I now got some fries of stew, unfortunately it is no longer the way it used to be, there are no more blocks of meat in it and from now on, no more fries of stew will taste good to me.
