Always good to relax, the sun shines all day, top location.

Well-located place, right next to the park, and the place itself is nice. However, in terms of service, it was a big disappointment: no one was in sight, we had to go get our drinks ourselves, and the tables remained dirty. The iced coffee was frankly bad. Too bad, because the spot has potential.

Got chips and coffee here. Chips were just right.

Thought I'd have a drink for King's Day, but too bad they're ripping things off a bit. €6 for a pint is a fair price I think. But then they serve a 300ml glass as a Pint. Better walk on next time.

What a lovely experience! The spot in the park is such a nice place to enjoy a snack. I especially loved the cheese—delicious and affordable. Big thanks to Henry, who was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend

We sat down because our google maps said the open and the server was very rude in kicking us out and telling us to go. She could have said it an a much more polite and considerate manner

Nicely located relaxation area in the Vondelpark, where many young professionals and children come when the weather is good.

Once ordered we sit down, first cleaning what was left by those who were there before us (and the rubbish had been there for a while, same thing for all the tables). After 20 minutes not even the slightest sign of food, I go to ask for information and without checking either the table or the order they reply with a seraphic "10 minutes". 15 pass, still no food. I come back to ask for clarification: "We had a problem in the kitchen, here fill out this form so we'll give you your money back in TWO days." Same thing repeated to another dozen people. In summary: we haven't eaten, we haven't received our money yet, they have pre-printed forms which means that every 2x3 there is someone asking for a refund. We are still waiting €53 for an omelette and a sandwich. Terrible place, frequented only because it's the only one in the park, but just walk 50 meters outside and you'll find an infinite number of serious bars. Never again.

An aperol spritz for €9.50 in a wine glass. Not okay.

Great location with kids and/or for a drink in the park. Prices are high. Food is OK. It's self-service.

On a sunny morning, a coffee with a croissant. Wonderfully relaxing. Walking, cycling or public transport is the best way to get there.

It's really annoying to have to watch your stuff and drinks to not be taken away. Happened 3 times, drinks and my aligners were taken from the table without asking. I had to retrieve my aligners from the bin. Really uncool. I always work there, and I need to put my stuff on my lap from now on to not be taken away... really annoying and always apologies, but next time, the same happens. So be extra aware that your drinks are not taken while sitting on the table half full.

Beautiful spot to stop and have some Bitterballen or a snack with a beer and people watch or soak up the sun.

A nice restaurant, in a good location (Vondelpark), offering great food and refreshing drinks. I think that when spending time in the park, it is worth stopping here and taking a break from exploring the area, as well as eating something delicious and drinking a good drink. I recommend!

Remarkable experience was worth it

Stopped here after a day of biking around Amsterdam and the park on the wet and cold day. Great place to warm up, fantastic atmosphere for a conversation, fair prices, good selection of beverages and food.

Nice place to sit and nice location but no value for money. €7,50 for two slices of bread, 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of ham. Not ordering here again.

Nice to place visit during sunny day.Friendly service however my sister ordered and prepay by card for pastel de nata and it was not available so was one big issue to get her money back.

Nice little restaurant and great for kids

This place would be quite amazing in the summer and warmer days, still a cool place to visit and I recommend it. But I can't give it 5 stars because of delays with food order and overcooked bitterballen. We did go on a Sunday late afternoon, so the regular kitchen isn't open. It's a bit hectic and and loud when ordering your food (in line, inside). You need to identify a table first, if you get something besides drinks. So if you're by yourself, you could be out of luck or somehow reserve your seat without leaving your belongings on your seat while you go order. Either way, they were friendly and the location is super great. I'm sure lots of sun and shade in the summer.

good place to stop, rest, eat/drink something. I had a very good matcha latte🌱 but the place is super interesting for brunch. It was Sunday, it was sunny and that's why it was crowded. They have impeccably clean bathrooms inside.

I was going for a walk in the park and found a surprisingly cozy cafe with delicious prosecco. Actually the park around the cafe is like a "paradise garden".. Where no one bothers anyone to enjoy the nature and peace of this beautiful place... An energetic retreat in the heart of Amsterdam.

The food and coffee are so-so, but the coffee and all kinds of drinks are superb. Lovely green area, the only negative is that there is always a lot. people. Morning, afternoon and evening. However, looking forward to many walks during the autumn.

Nice casual place that offers a really good flamkkuchen. Beautiful location, self service and a calm atmosphere. A flamkuchen is 13,5 Eur and it is thin and crispy and it is different every day. I really like it.

Great place to start your evening. The location is great and bright, centrally located. The offering is what you would expect from a menu in the city center. Totally fine, but don't expect anything innovative.

Beautiful place at the end of Vondelpark. You can only pay by card here and you have to order at the bar, but the service is fast and the food and drinks are excellent.

With young kids it’s a paradise in Amsterdam: sand box, climbing, while the self service is easy that I prefer. Staff are friendly.

Nice place to spend some time and have a drink. But really mean bartenders, seriously have no idea what was so funny with my order… Each time I came bartenders made fun of me, what was unnecessary and rude. Food was ok, not great.

Pleasant beer garden style place in a great location in Vondelpark Park. But disappointing. You order at the counter and my pancakes arrived at my table at the same time as I did - ie within seconds - because, as the staff member explained, they had been preprepared and reheated - they were lukewarm and tasted accordingly bland. The portion size was small too - three mini pancakes of around 10cm diameter. After several people who came after me got their hot drinks (and I had finished the food) I realised that my coffee had been forgotten but when I went to ask, the staff member denied it. When it finally arrived, also luke warm.

We came here for lunch on a quiet day. Our table was already dirty with food leftovers from the previous guests and there was still a tray, plates and glasses. After fifteen minutes I walked to the bar/checkout myself. When I handed that over to the bar/cash register, I had to do it myself, "we don't do that here, this is not how it works here," she said. A wet cloth was placed in my hands and I had to clean and tidy it up myself. They prefer not to bring food either, they just give a peeper in your hands and then you can come and get it yourself, the girls behind the bar still said to each other “I love the peepers, then you don't have to bring it ”. I'd like to pick up my own food and drinks, but tidying up and cleaning goes a bit too far, and all those comments, really aren't possible. Paid €40 for a simple lunch.

It's a place with very good service and delicious food. It's also very close to the park. I recommend you to visit it.

Really beautiful terrace surrounded by towering trees. Came here for one beer and ended up staying for 3 hours. They have Budweiser on tap - very unusual in Amsterdam. They also have Hertog Jan Weizener which I haven’t seen on tap before. Also enjoyed De Vondeltuin’s mixed platter of deep fried snacks - with cheese soufflés, chicken spring rolls, vegan samosas and bitterballen.

Cute cafe, the food is very pricey. They could add some nicer chairs. But great place for a beer.

We only had an ice cream with the children, but the atmosphere is very pleasant. Tables and stools for an aperitif or even a complete meal, all on the edge of a huge and beautiful park.

Simple menu but 10/10 in terms of atmosphere

Visited the Vondel garden on Sunday July 14. The weather was nice and the Vondeltuin was packed with people drinking and eating. We had a cappuccino, draft beer and an apple pastry. Together you pay €22.60 for this. And then there are just the two of you. Otherwise you're going towards €50.--. You're going to wonder if there are still limits to the ever-increasing catering prices. If you look around you, you will see many who apparently don't care about it and just consume. A croquette sandwich €7.50 and an apple pastry €7.50. Will this be the new normal? We'll see, but it's not fun anymore.

Excellent experience, I found the menu limited, but the place is really cool, very Dutch, inside Vondelpark, worth the visit!

Came here to watch the football match and there was plenty of space but it was packed. It's definitely a good place to watch a football match and the atmosphere was great. We had food too which came promptly, I waited at the bar for it as it was very busy and didn't want to have to go through the crowd of people too many times. Nice, friendly and calm staff.

Not real food. My plate costed 15 euros and was chips (nachos) baked in the oven with a little cheese on top. So it was baked in the oven to melt the cheese. Very expensive and not real food

Be careful! Do not take a mane or your documents with you and take look about your bags and seats. Because otherwise can come and seat ather people and still you things. For example in my situation I lost many and bankkaart and other documents. After these two people.

Nice location, beautiful terrace, but every single time I came here over the last few years, they get my order wrong. Decided to give it another go yesterday, received the wrong milk in my coffee, luckily its a preference for me, and not an allergy! It was really a pleasure to hear the bar staff complaining about me the whole time they were making a new one.

Very welcoming staff and a great cozy atmosphere. Almost all my favorite dishes were selected on their menu. The girl noticed my doubts in my order, and convinced me I made an excellent choice 😊 Love the flammkuchen!! Looking forward to my next order 😋 🤗

A firm favoutite especially when the sun is out. Easy to get to and always a lovely vibe. It's the perfect summer hangout place.

Good place to spend a sunny day.

Its a self service situation and you go there for the sunny afternoon vibes. Has a secure kiddies play area off to the side and far away enough from the adults who don't wanna hear screaming kiddies. All round a great spot where you'll get a tan.

Didn't try any of the food, but it was a lovely spot for a beer in the park on a beautiful day! Glad to see they have a few vegan options and hope they'll add more soon.
