We had a fantastic meal, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were wonderful. It was raining, so it was very quiet, and the setting was really charming. The only downside is the price, which is a bit high, but that's probably due to the truly excellent location.

As Spanish women who love to save money, this site is great because of its chill vibe!

The staff was okay, but they put non-vegan sauce on the vegan burgers and only realized it minutes after serving. Generally speaking, €20 for a cold burger that looks like it came from Lidl and was sitting right next to the trash cans is way too much. The sauce was from a tube, the buns from a discount store, and the atmosphere was like an unrenovated McDonald's. Pickles on the burger came from a jar. We saw rats eating, the seat cushions were full of holes, and the water came from a plastic pitcher. The best thing about the €20 burger was the fries. Pigeons had already taken up residence on the unwiped tables. The food arrived before the cutlery. And we think we even saw a rat running around. This was supposed to be the highlight of our class trip, a nice dinner together in the park in the evening... Never again.

Great place, great playground for the kids. Quiet place. A little disappointed with the chicken sandwich, thought it would be chicken fillet in the baguette, but it was just toppings. Tasted good.

We wanted to take a quick break in the park so we stop here, and it was a good surprise ! The spot is calm and pretty, and the foods, drinks are good !

Nice large terrace. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered scrambled eggs (3 eggs) with added ham (3 euros), and received a small pile of egg (1.5 eggs?) with less than a quarter slice of ham incorporated into it.

Great spot for a casual bite to eat and, more importantly getting a beer / glass of wine while kids can play on the wonderful playground. The playground has so much for all ages, and has benches for the parents around the central sandpit area. Would recommend and happily return.

Great vibes during the world cup!

This place is great for drinks, atmosphere is nice and spacious! Food on the other hand, not quite sure. I had the Classic Vondelburger which costs €19,50!! It was such a sad burger. A homemade hamburger looks better and can costs less than this 😔😮‍💨 Though the salads seemed to be better. My friend had a ceasar salad and they had lots of pieces of chicken in it. I saw someone with the Burrata salad and that looked so full and filling.

A magical World Cup viewing experience with beer and bitterballen.

Beautiful terrace for summer drinks and watching the World Cup! The terrace has great vibes with the perfect amount of sunshine and the staff are very friendly. It would be great to see something gluten free on the food menu in the future.

It's the perfect place to eat or have a drink after a walk in the park. The service is quick. They also show live sports.

The 'uitsmijter' is without ham and cheese; the definition on the menu does not match. Even the staff ordering extra thought it included cheese. I have a complaint regarding the 'uitsmijter' without ham and cheese. I will also inform you by email that the 'uitsmijter' on the menu does not meet the definition.

Great place to have a coffe or any other drink. Right in one of the main entrances of the Vondelpark. Kind of a self service. Just prices and good quality in general.

As a larger restaurant in the park, there are usually many people. It is possible to use the toilet without consuming, but then you have to pay! You can order and pay on a QR code menu. The service is fast, you didn't have to wait long. I tried pizza and it was surprisingly delicious.

On one of the hottest days in Amsterdam, Vondeltuin became our official emergency cooling station. We stopped by for iced coffees and instantly forgot all about the heat. Great drinks, relaxed atmosphere, and the perfect spot to recharge while exploring Vondelpark. If the sun is trying to melt you, this place is your best defense.

We usually come here for a drink or some ice cream while the kids play at the playground. But yesterday we also tried the chicken tenders, and they were a pleasant surprise - fresh and tender.

A clean, pastoral place, the food itself is delicious and so are the beers. The service is courteous and professional. thx guys 😻 The coffee is excellent, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the place is spotlessly clean. It has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to come back. Highly recomm ended!

Very expensive for food. A child's portion of punk cake is €14 and a chicken sandwich is €18. Otherwise, it's beautiful, pleasant, and there's a small playground for children.

De Vondeltuin is a very good option in Vondelpark if you are with children and would like to combine outdoor play with coffee, lunch or drinks. It has a large terrace right next to the playground, so it is a very easy and relaxed stop with children, especially on a sunny day.

Lovely spot in the Vondelpark. Next to the playground it's a favourite with the cargo bike crowd (including their offspring). Do not let that deter you. In and outdoor seating allow all to enjoy the park in a rustic setting.

Great spot to chill inside Vondelpark! The atmosphere is super relaxed, perfect for a beer or a quick bite after a long walk or bike ride. The terrace is spacious and has a great vibe, especially when the weather is nice. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. Definitely a must-visit if you are exploring the South area of Amsterdam!

Way overpriced: €13.50 for a chicken sandwich that wasn't fresh chicken but from a package (tasted OK, nothing special). It's all pickup and serve yourself. Total lunch bill was €36.50: Two sandwiches a glass of wine and a sparkling water. Seating area is nice. More a place for a coffee.

A very cute little bar/ restaurant right at the start of Vondelpark, especially cute and viby in summer but also nice to visit in winter as it’s also open every day. Also little insider tip, they have a very nice toilet especially if you’re near there in summer 😉

note for now: Opening hours are incorrect. Place closed at 17:30. Food is nice and location is very pretty. Good option for a happy hour in summer or a warm stop in colder months.

Very nice place to sit for coffee or food in vondelpark. The staff is very kind! The coffee is full of flavor! You can comfortably go alone or with a large group or with your dog. The space is large and has a playground.

I came here with my son. 2 hot chocolates for 10 euros. There was something stuck to the toilet seat.

Pushing the boundary on pricing. The garden is a lovely space for a coffee or drink. We were disappointed by the food. The menu offered "American style pancakes". What we got were three small pikelets (not fluffy pancakes) that were from a packet and warmed up. And paid €10 for the pleasure.

This used to be a wonderful place with pancakes and such. Unfortunately, it's now incredibly plain and somewhat tasteless. The price-quality ratio is really out of whack. Almost 10 euros for two old Casino rolls with two croquettes and a bit of mustard is really bad in my opinion. The staff is friendly but very young. The atmosphere is good.

Maybe the way you need to order, with a QR that takes you to a website with the menu, without a way to order, so I ended up taking notes in a seperate app to collect the drink and foods of the group I was with. The Caesar salad consists of iceberg lettuce, croutons, a boiled egg, diced smoked (!) chicken, sauce, and grated cheese. It was edible, nothing more. The garden is dilapidated and in dire need of maintenance. The tables were covered in dirty plates with food scraps devoured by the birds. The staff is friendly, but seems to consist entirely of working students and shows little sense of ownership. The cottage and restrooms, while old, are still quite clean.

Perfect for parents with young kids. Food and drinks can be taken to the playground area where there are picnic tables. Playground is enclosed so kids cannot escape. There's a sandpit for the toddlers and a big climbing frame for the 5 year olds, plus various other pieces of equipment.

Had lunch here yesterday on a lovely sunny day. It was the perfect spot for a tasty lunch that was also good value. I loved the smoked salmon sandwich.

Very nice but the all day menu was not all day

Great place to have a meal or drink whilst the children play. The only down side is that getting food takes ages. Today it took me about 20 minutes to receive my food order, which consisted of an over-priced Cesar salad and a children’s pasta.

Great especially for parents with children, the little ones can romp around in the playground, we as parents were able to relax and eat and drink while watching the little ones, really great for the whole family and definitely worth a day trip.

Well-located place, right next to the park, and the place itself is nice. However, in terms of service, it was a big disappointment: no one was in sight, we had to go get our drinks ourselves, and the tables remained dirty. The iced coffee was frankly bad. Too bad, because the spot has potential.
