We love this place! A panoramic terrace where you can drink a delicious passion fruit spritz.

We had a delicious meal. You can also sit inside in bad weather. The ladies' toilets were very dirty and very dark.

Pretty much a perfect dining experience: the setting was like out of a rom com scene, the food absolutely superb, beautifully presented and - most importantly - a lot of organic and fresh ingredients! Just what the doctor ordered 🌱😅

Go for the beer and the view. Best with a big party on a nice evening (you will definitely want to be outside)

Beautiful view, friendly service

Well..., I had reserved a table for one. I was seated behind a high partition with a sort of bar. As a result, I was barely visible. I arrived at 6:30 PM, and at 8:10 PM, I still hadn't received my main course. I had booked for a movie, so I left without a main course. I watched the movie while hungry. And yes..., I repeatedly asked the wait staff where my main course was. I received apologies, but more along the lines of: "Yes, I also find this very annoying, and I understand that you have to leave now." The starter, the tomato salad, was very good, though, so 5 stars for that. However, I couldn't taste the rest of my meal. It was disappointing because you sat there all by yourself for a very long time.

Had a delicious meal. Beautiful fresh products, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Nice location too. It takes a bit of searching to find the entrance; go up through the parking garage. Nice view over the city. Vegetarian and meat/fish dishes are roughly split 50/50.

We came here with a reservation, and I had specifically explained that this evening was important to me. Despite that, we were seated in a corner at a picnic table, while guests who arrived after us without a reservation were seated at a proper table right behind us. When I asked about the table I had requested, I was simply told “it’s not available,” and the staff member walked away without even looking at me. I could understand the table situation, but what happened next was even more disappointing: for over 30 minutes, nobody came to our table or even gave us a menu, while the guests who arrived after us were immediately welcomed, given menus, and attended to. Since we were the only guests not speaking Dutch, the difference in treatment unfortunately felt discriminatory to us. I can’t say for certain that it was intentional, but as a customer, that is genuinely how the experience felt. After observing this, we decided to leave. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for celebrating a special occasion or planning an important evening. If you’re just looking for somewhere to have a quick drink or bite and leave, it might be fine—but based on our experience, we won’t be coming back.

Nice place, nice staff, nice food. Gluten free options available, and they can accommodate well with allergens. The gluten free burger bun has milk, so they made us a burger with no bun. The cocktails aren't so great, but okay.

I’ve been here about 8 times, usually for drinks and food. The place is truly fantastic, with a beautiful view over the city and a lovely terrace. It used to be a hidden gem, but now it’s more well-known (but I won’t reveal where the entrance is ;) The nice thing about this place is that they never book up completely, so there are always a few tables available for a 'spontaneous' dinner out. That’s how we’ve often had a nice meal here at the last minute. It’s also nice that the menu changes constantly, always featuring plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The food is sometimes a bit inconsistent. I’ve had some truly fantastic meals, and others that were just okay. By the way, the price-quality ratio is excellent. The staff is truly fantastic. Very friendly, and they come across as genuine and authentic.

Lovely people and a nice place to grab a bite to eat

The terrace is lovely for an aperitivo! I recommend booking a table in advance, though; we went on a Saturday night around 8:00 PM and it was packed, but they still let us sit on the steps for a drink and a bite to eat.

Beautiful view from the terrace over the city and surroundings. The service was attentive. The menu was a bit limited. Portions were much too small. If you order the falafel burger as a main course, that is exactly what you get. Paying an extra €4 for a mini portion of fries is really too much! Unfortunately, I left hungry. So the food is clearly overpriced! Such a shame, because it is a nice place.

Never again. Came here for date night and unfortunately the weather happened to be windy and we had to sit inside. But the venue is absolutely stunning and the view is amazing. There were 4! Waitresses and it wasn’t busy at all, they were rude and apparently it was almost painful to be friendly. took 15 min to order a drink. Took 60 min to have our burger and pasta served. We ordered drinks and they forgot mine, which can happen, we are all human. But the hostile attitude asking for my drink, wasn’t a flex. The food was put on our table and my plate was steaming but it wasn’t mentioned, not even a “enjoy your food” or “be careful it’s hot”. The plate was hot and the food was cold and microwave heated. No way that it was fresh. No one asked us how our food was or checked throughout the whole seating. The whole experience was just not it. Way too expensive for what you get, unfriendly staff. So never again for us.

A first-class view from the roof of a parking garage. The food is solid, the portions small but tasty. Plus, a few nice beers to choose from. Certainly no longer a hidden gem, but definitely a spot you shouldn't miss.

Super small portions! But costly! 22,50 € for 5 ravioli! A fly in the cocktail! I'm a skinny person that don't eat much. But I had to go straight to another restaurant to fill up. Can not recommend!

We visited for dinner, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Without a doubt, it’s one of the most beautiful spots in Haarlem, especially in the evening. The atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting. The menu offers a good variety of choices. We had burgers, fries, and the lemon ravioli. The ravioli was a flavor I wasn’t familiar with, but it was unique and definitely worth trying if you enjoy discovering new tastes. What made our experience even better was the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Thank you for a lovely evening—we’d be happy to visit again!

Extremely small portions, no flavor, overpriced. We had the tomatoes with burrata cream for lunch, and that portion wouldn't even have passed as an appetizer. It consisted of a few spinach leaves, tasteless burrata cream, and tomatoes. The ambiance is nice, though.

I had a lovely time at DeDAKKAS in Haarlem. We enjoyed some drinks and I had a delicious ravioli that was full of flavor. A couple of small mistakes were made with our order, but the staff handled everything in a friendly and thoughtful way. Their positive attitude and willingness to help made up for it. The relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting make this a place I'd happily visit again. A little tip: try to park on one of the upper levels, as the restaurant is literally built on top of the parking garage.

Beautiful place, too bad there is so much smoking.

The only reason to go here is for the phenomenal view! It’s a beautiful place to sit with a panoramic view of Haarlem and is really nice on a summer evening. The service is very poor (slow, dismissive, items missed) and the food is low quality and overpriced (with the exception of the Artisanal sourdough bread they offer from local bakery Artesano, which is delicious).

DeDAKKAS was a recommendation by a boat tour guide in Haarlem, and he didn't promise too much! Great place to be with the best view over Haarlem. Good classic food, veggie dishes as well. Very attentive waitresses / waiters and a clear beer recommendation: of the 15 tap beers which they serve, I like "Korenwolf" most. 😁🍻

Relaxed restaurant with many natural, vegetarian, and vegan dishes and a beautiful view of the city. If you are coming by car (preferably not, of course), please park on the top floor of the underground parking garage.

Nice place, great terrace. The burger was very small for the price, and the sauce tasted like salad dressing. The hot dog was creative, but the ingredients didn't work well together. The draft beer was nice and cold, and the carbonation was perfect. The cake was also very tasty.

We reserved a table for 16:30. We checked the website and nowhere did it state that they limited the menu to specific times. So, apparently, between 15:30 and 17:30 you can't order anything except their bar snacks (choice of bitterballen, a mushroom, or cheese). Subsequently, the waiters started eating, and we walked out after sitting for 15 minutes without even getting a drink, since we apparently arrived during the staff's lunch break.

What a view! A fantastic spot. We walked to the top of the car park with a little trepidation, but we were glad we did. It's a lovely light fresh space with views of the city in every direction. The staff were friendly and as with just about everywhere in Holland, spoke English with ease and good humour. The food was fresh and creative. A range of styles. Lots of vegetarian options, but also some meat and fish dishes. We had the catch of the day and the lentil burger and chip. Both were excellent - especially the chips.

Great views, shame about the food and service. I ordered a cauliflower curry, it came with barely any sauce .. most of the cauliflower was dry. I asked the waitress for more sauce and she simply replied “no”. lol. Quite rude and shame as it would have been a lovely dish otherwise.

Beautiful rooftop terrace. I love rooftop terraces, and this is one of the best in the Netherlands. I am from Rotterdam myself, and I wish we had a terrace like this. Nice drinks menu too, delicious beers. Prices are competitive. The view over the city and the Great Church is top-notch.

This was not a good experience at all. We arrived for our reservation and the first thing we were told was "sorry, it is very full today, you might need to wait like 30 minutes." Which was a bit surprising considering we had a reservation...not sure what the point was. So then, after getting seated (at a dirty table), for about 15-20 minutes no one came to collect the dirty dishes or give us a menu or wipe the table filled with crumbs. Eventually we got the attention of a server and we asked for menus so she finally took away the dishes but never cleaned the table, so we tried to clean it ourselves. (gross!) Finally we got our drinks and our starters. After finishing the starters, another 40 minutes passed and we were wondering if our main dish was ever going to come so we finally asked if we could have it. Then 15 minutes later it came and they took away the dirty dishes that had been sitting in front of us the whole time. It wasn't even busy anymore at that time so no idea why the service was so bad. It was honestly appalling. The service at every other place we went in Haarlem was amazing so it made it even worse. Still giving two stars because the design was nice and we enjoyed the food.

Great view over the whole city. There were two of us, and we really enjoyed it. We had absolutely no complaints. You don't find a restaurant on top of a parking garage everywhere.

Very poor food quality. Price and quality far below par. We ordered starters and main courses. One starter was unrecognizable as what it was. Overcooked, bad taste, and not presented the way a meal should be presented in a restaurant. We paid for the 2 starters and the 2 glasses of drink. We did not accept the rest. The staff was not open to critical feedback. Strange, because we asked if everything was to our liking. Apparently not, because after the feedback, the plate was taken away and immediately thrown away. I even suggested letting the person who prepared this taste it themselves. This was also ignored. I have serious doubts as to whether this was prepared by a qualified chef. The only good things were the view and the drink.

We came here for the view. But the quality of the food and the friendly service ensure that we will definitely come back again.

Celebrated King's Day there again. Beautiful location on the roof of a parking garage. "Zwarte Liefde" provided the music again, so it was a great party.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. After a long wait, we received our lunch, but the ‘lukewarm fattoush’ turned out to be ice cold. It was just a splash of water with cold vegetables. The ‘crispy’ flatbread was completely soggy and looked like wet cardboard. The hummus had also already formed a crust. After three bites, I left it because it simply wasn't tasty. We reported this politely to the staff. They acknowledged that it was not right and offered apologies, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, they subsequently refused to remove the fattoush from the bill. In the end, we paid €14.50 for something I couldn't eat. It is a real shame, because it is a nice place in itself. But the way this complaint was handled means we will not be coming back here. For us, it is worth no more than 1 star.

Great view, service sometimes a bit slow, food delicious

First, I call to ask if they have a table. “Fully booked,” they say. Curious, I check online, booked in 30 seconds. So either magic exists, or motivation doesn’t. Second, we arrive. The table isn’t ready. We wait. Fifteen minutes later, we’re still waiting… while the remains of the previous guests are very much still enjoying their time on it. Third, the shakshouka. A visual assault. If there were a global competition for worst-looking dish, this would podium. Taste-wise, no redemption arc. Fourth, the burger. Impressive, in the sense that it redefines how bad a burger can be. I’ve had better from FEBO. Fifth, and the grand finale, one hour before water hits the table. Water. Not a soufflé, water. I usually hand out 5 stars generously. Here, 1 feels almost optimistic.

Waited half an hour for coffee and then unfortunately we had to leave, so we had to cancel the order after we had already paid. Still a nice place though!

Very nice view and nice food! We had breakfast there and our choices were satisfying. And we enjoy the view and atmosphere.

The food was really bad, the menu a bit quirky but manageable. Aside from the fact that the menu was also quite dirty and torn, the seating inside and outside is really nice because the view is simply beautiful. The food arrived cold and was truly awful, which is something I've rarely experienced. The staff didn't bring us any cutlery, and I had to search forever for our waitress before I could pay (and then finally go to the bar to pay...). I definitely wouldn't go back here, maybe if you just wanted to have a drink. And all in all, it was far too expensive.

De Dakkas, Je hoeft er niet lang over na te denken, het is zoals het we staat een Kas op het Dak en dan in dit geval van een parkeergarage. Het is een geweldige locatie met uitzicht over het mooie Haarlem. Beneden via het trappenhuis of de lift (als die het doet) of vanuit de parkeergarage kom je op de bovenste verdieping en daar staat deze kas. Bij binnenkomst is het sfeervol en je wordt vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel. Omdat het een hoge, glazen kas is, is de acoustic niet geweldig maar wat mij betreft ook niet extreem storend en het past wel bij het geheel. Evenals de temperatuur in de winter en zomer, die zijn prima hoewel het in de zomer soms echt warm kan zijn .... Maarja .... Een kas ! De kaart is altijd verassend en absoluut niet doorsnee en dat maakt het eten hier altijd een feestje. Mooie, goede gerechten die erg smakelijk en gestroomlijnd worden bereid. Voor zowel de vlees en viseters maar ook de vegetariër is het hier smullen ! I highly recommend this place and love coming here! See you soon!

A very nice place to have lunch. Friendly staff and a beautiful view. You can clearly see the Bavo, the old V&D, and the Catholic Bavo towering above everything. Very beautiful.

Lovely spot for a special lunch

Even 7 years ago, they already had vegan snacks if you made a request, and a beautiful view! Now, in 2026, I went out to eat with 3 vegans and ordered 3 different dishes. All 3 were very satisfied! So, a good choice for animal lovers.

The food is tasty but there is very little of it for what you pay.

There is also the option of dining on the terrace, the Dutch enjoy the outdoors even at 15 degrees, as long as the sun is shining.

Hidden gem in Haarlem. It is a wonderful place to spend time, especially in spring/summer. Too bad about that crappy elevator/stairs.

Had lunch at the DAKKAS. The weather was lovely with the spring sunshine. The sourdough bread with cheese was tasty. The hamburger was nice and tender and juicy. Nice wines. It took a while before the food arrived, probably because it was quite full inside and out.

Really cool place, I think this is absolutely amazing in the summer. The view is very beautiful and the food was also nice and cozy, nothing to complain about.

Beautiful spot in Haarlem with a fantastic view

We recently dined here and we're very happy with it! Friendly service, good food with plenty of choices (it's great to have several good options, even if you're vegan!), and we haven't even mentioned the location and the fantastic view! It absolutely met our expectations, and I would definitely return in a different season, even though I'm not from the area.

What a comfortable hotel! The room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant. The facilities were well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Haarlem's rooftop bar is very interesting. This rooftop bar has an excellent view of the city. Fast and friendly staff.

I came during the weekend, so the restaurant was quiet busy, I would recommend booking a reservation in advance, especially if you are with a group of people. The atmosphere was really nice, I appreciate the floor to ceiling view they provide. I ordered the eggplant soup which I enjoyed tremendously.

Located above a parking lot, the entrance is difficult to find. Perhaps it could be better signposted downstairs. It's a sort of conservatory with hard wooden chairs, which probably fits the concept. Friendly and efficient service. Checking the coffee cup (or coffee) carefully on the outside is recommended: we received a bag of visible lipstick from the previous coffee and drinking water. Restrooms are available.

Very nice ambience and good food

I've been here a few times on quieter evenings, and it was perfectly fine. On a Friday, however, it was simply too crowded. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, but you have to shout at each other to be able to talk. The food was truly fantastic!

Not good enough to enjoy your time! They served us something that we didn’t order and insisted that this is the same dish as you ordered. Moreover, the waitresses don’t care about guests and are not friendly. Tables and chairs are not comfortable and clean. I don’t try this place again.

Beautiful place and friendly staff. Only the menu is a bit too hip and experimental for my taste. Sometimes you just want something a little simpler, but that's no longer possible here.

They have a beautifull rooftop outside seating area with views of the entire city. Aside for the beautifull location they also serve fantastic food. The menu is almost entirely vegetarian and it also includes multiple vegan dishes. I like that they change the menu depending on what´s in season! I´ve tried some of the most weird combinations here like a sandwich with sourkraut and old cheese (did not disappoint?!). The coffee is decent.

We had a truly delicious meal here. We weren't sure what to expect because the menu didn't really appeal to us at first. But once the dishes arrived, we were truly pleasantly surprised! The food was truly delicious! The flavor combinations were excellent. The service was also very good; we found it relaxing that there was quite a bit of time between dishes. That makes the evening longer and more enjoyable, and you don't feel like you have to leave. Sometimes I just sat with an empty glass for a bit too long, or I drink too quickly ;) All in all, a pleasant surprise.

We had a team outing with a group and ate a set menu. Delicious bites from SUE. The food was very well-seasoned. Very tasty vegetables and excellent fries. The staff was enthusiastic and very helpful. Great place.

Quick service and very kind personnel!

Delicious, creative cocktails and good beer selection. Many vegetarian options, all fresh and flavorful, especially the oyster mushroom bitterballen. Great atmosphere - lively but relaxed, with a fantastic view of the city.

Mediocre at best. They took an unacceptable long time to pick our order. They took even longer to bring the order. Their menu doesn't have evident good choices, so we just took a guess. The food is expensive for what it is in terms of quality and size. But the worst part of all is the beer situation. Their menu shows "Normal" size and "Small" size without clarifying the actual size in cl. I ordered the "Normal" beer and they brought me an uber small 250cl beer. When I told the waitress that there must be a mistake, because I ordered the "Normal", she said that was the "Normal". Now I wonder what the "Small" is, probably a tequila-shot-sized beer. It turns out all of their beers are 250cl, and some of them are 7€! Shrinkflation is hitting Europe hard, but this is getting ridiculous.

Highly recommended! Wow! I was really pleasantly surprised. The view is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. A well-deserved 5/5 stars from me. And you can park right underneath the restaurant. How convenient is that?

It's always a pleasure to visit DeDakkas. Whether there are events or not, the food is good, the service is fantastic and the views of the city are spectacular.
