DeDAKKAS in Oude Stad

Located above a parking lot, the entrance is difficult to find. Perhaps it could be better signposted downstairs. It's a sort of conservatory with hard wooden chairs, which probably fits the concept. Friendly and efficient service. Checking the coffee cup (or coffee) carefully on the outside is recommended: we received a bag of visible lipstick from the previous coffee and drinking water. Restrooms are available.

Very nice ambience and good food

I've been here a few times on quieter evenings, and it was perfectly fine. On a Friday, however, it was simply too crowded. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, but you have to shout at each other to be able to talk. The food was truly fantastic!

Not good enough to enjoy your time! They served us something that we didn’t order and insisted that this is the same dish as you ordered. Moreover, the waitresses don’t care about guests and are not friendly. Tables and chairs are not comfortable and clean. I don’t try this place again.

Beautiful place and friendly staff. Only the menu is a bit too hip and experimental for my taste. Sometimes you just want something a little simpler, but that's no longer possible here.

They have a beautifull rooftop outside seating area with views of the entire city. Aside for the beautifull location they also serve fantastic food. The menu is almost entirely vegetarian and it also includes multiple vegan dishes. I like that they change the menu depending on what´s in season! I´ve tried some of the most weird combinations here like a sandwich with sourkraut and old cheese (did not disappoint?!). The coffee is decent.

We had a truly delicious meal here. We weren't sure what to expect because the menu didn't really appeal to us at first. But once the dishes arrived, we were truly pleasantly surprised! The food was truly delicious! The flavor combinations were excellent. The service was also very good; we found it relaxing that there was quite a bit of time between dishes. That makes the evening longer and more enjoyable, and you don't feel like you have to leave. Sometimes I just sat with an empty glass for a bit too long, or I drink too quickly ;) All in all, a pleasant surprise.

We had a team outing with a group and ate a set menu. Delicious bites from SUE. The food was very well-seasoned. Very tasty vegetables and excellent fries. The staff was enthusiastic and very helpful. Great place.

Delicious, creative cocktails and good beer selection. Many vegetarian options, all fresh and flavorful, especially the oyster mushroom bitterballen. Great atmosphere - lively but relaxed, with a fantastic view of the city.

Mediocre at best. They took an unacceptable long time to pick our order. They took even longer to bring the order. Their menu doesn't have evident good choices, so we just took a guess. The food is expensive for what it is in terms of quality and size. But the worst part of all is the beer situation. Their menu shows "Normal" size and "Small" size without clarifying the actual size in cl. I ordered the "Normal" beer and they brought me an uber small 250cl beer. When I told the waitress that there must be a mistake, because I ordered the "Normal", she said that was the "Normal". Now I wonder what the "Small" is, probably a tequila-shot-sized beer. It turns out all of their beers are 250cl, and some of them are 7€! Shrinkflation is hitting Europe hard, but this is getting ridiculous.

The best view in town and food it’s good too.

Highly recommended! Wow! I was really pleasantly surprised. The view is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. A well-deserved 5/5 stars from me. And you can park right underneath the restaurant. How convenient is that?

It's always a pleasure to visit DeDakkas. Whether there are events or not, the food is good, the service is fantastic and the views of the city are spectacular.

A Rioja wine tasting with matching dishes. The portions were sometimes a bit large for our liking. The white wine was a pleasant surprise.

A lovely, trendy location with a beautiful view of Haarlem. The chickpea starter was delicious, but the goose breast was rather tough. We did get free coffee as compensation.

This is such a cool space with a really delicious and innovative menu. Views over Haarlem are great and staff are very friendly. It’s on top of a parking garage and not particularly well sign posted but just head to the parking garage and take the lift to the highest floor - super easy!

A great place for drinks. The homemade ice tea and the mushroom croquettes are definitely recommended. I found the main courses disappointing for the price; the cacio e pepe gnocci lacked flavor, so I wouldn't return here for dinner.

And we really enjoyed it there. We were there around lunchtime.

Top-notch place with phenomenal service. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. A special shoutout to Floor, who made our evening unforgettable. She saw we were hesitating between two desserts… After we finally made a choice, she spontaneously arranged an extra dessert for us. Fantastic – we'd love to come back!

Restaurant in the heart of Haarlem, with super beautiful views of the city. A place with a great atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food and service are excellent. An excellent option for lunch, an afternoon drink, or dinner. If you're going after 6 p.m., it's best to make a reservation.

I had a Spritz, water, and a hummus bowl. The view is truly amazing, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. There are also board games.

Friendly service, good food, a nice atmosphere, with a nice view of Haarlem. What more could you ask for. Been here many times and it’s over all been great. I do have to say that it’s good to make booking if you’re more than 2 people as it gets busy here. Although there was one time we made a booking and went there only to find out they somehow forget this booking (we had email confirmation but that didn’t matter), the place was super busy. But the staff here are super sweet and they will figure out a way to make it work..and they did, we had a nice time.

I was with a large group in the separate room, which had a magnificent view of the city. The appetizer was excellent. The main course, chicken, was also very good, but my portion was very small. However, some of my tablemates left their vegetables. I ordered dessert anyway, but I went home unsatisfied. Next time, I'll ask about portion size before ordering.

Super nice place! The rooftop platter with charcuterie and cheese was a real surprise. Really delicious, unique cheeses, nice to see something different than the standard cubes.

The view is really good, you see the whole city from the roof. the food was quite good, the service was kind but in a hurry. its a good place to meet friends, enjoy a lunch or just coffee and have a great view. id recommend a visit.

You cannot beat this view of the city! Food was OK (table had hummus bowl, brokkelkaas sandwich and burrata), entire menu veggie FYI, and service was a bit slow (20+ minutes between getting drinks and being able to order food) but it's easy to be a bit more patient with the views! 🤣

Last Saturday, we celebrated our 20th anniversary on the terrace for almost 100 guests. We enjoyed a 5-course walking dinner with a private outdoor bar. Mette, Lars, and the entire team did a fantastic job. Eleonore provided excellent communication in the lead-up, including a wine tasting. The evening went exactly as planned. The occasional brief shower was shielded by parasols. My dining club friends said, "We have to eat here sometime! I've never had such delicious vegetarian food!" All the guests were impressed with the venue and the food, and we celebrated our love beautifully. Many thanks to the entire team!!

Okeish menu. Nice view to the Kirk. Amazing for a sunny day in the terrace. You need to get the stairs or the elevator from the parking building - looks weird when you arrive but it’s not :)

MDeDakkad was recommended by a local of Haarlem. It’s a hidden gem. The panoramic views of the city was beyond fabulous. Great service!! The whole place on Point.

Nice atmosphere and great food!

The view is beautiful. The atmosphere is nice. The menu isn't quite to my taste. The service is okay, but on the three occasions I've been there, I haven't found the staff particularly attentive or efficient. But that's just my opinion.

Not worth eating here. The views are nice but the service is terrible. We waited a long time to order and then more than an hour for the food… The food only arrived once we started to ask what is happening, we didn’t even get an apology. One of the dishes (a salad) was very bland, I asked for oil and balsamic vinegar, however, that was not allowed… disappointing.

Don't be put off by the neighborhood and the streets leading to the rooftop greenhouse and the parking garage below. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are worth it.

It's not easy having food allergies and digestive issues, but I received excellent service here. There was a young server who went above and beyond, incredibly friendly. The kitchen whipped up something delicious so I could still enjoy it. At DAKKAS, you get excellent service and they have great staff.

We ate here last Sunday without a reservation. It's a really nice location in Haarlem, the staff is friendly, and everything was on time. The food was just subpar; the fish dish was bland and meager. The falafel burger could have used a bit more bite and was also overcooked. The wine was good, though.

After being ignored for 30 minutes by a waiter who waited on literally every other person in the restaurant (it was not busy), a waitress took pity on us and took our order. The view is pretty but after 30 minutes without food, the charm wore off. Food is ok. Skip if you have any hope of eating here.

Don’t even bother, worst service I had in Haarlem and in Amsterdam. Cheesy “restaurant” run by a bunch of teenagers that have no idea what they’re doing.

It remains a beautiful place to have a drink with a view over Haarlem. I am less enthusiastic about the food and the service. I had the ravioli with peas and it was too dry. It took forever for our order to arrive. Fortunately, someone in the service noticed it. The fries we asked for with it did not arrive at all. And the coffee we ordered was also made by the service itself after we had asked again if it was still coming. Really disappointing and a shame for such a beautiful place that you leave it here.

The only cool thing about this restaurant is its location above the rooftops of Haarlem. The food arrived cold after a 40-minute wait and was abysmal. I'm not vegan, but I'm sure this dish can be prepared deliciously. Even the ravioli was awful, and that's something you'll have to get right. Bottom line: just because something's hyped doesn't mean it's good.

Great location with a compelling concept and really good food! After a day of sightseeing, we visited the "greenhouse" on the top parking deck – conveniently, we parked there. Access is easy for everyone, though, as the restaurant is wheelchair-accessible via the staircase and elevator. The location is truly special, with a rooftop atmosphere and a relaxed feel. There are around 40 seats both inside and outside, and everything is casual and cozy. We really liked the sustainable, regional concept – and most importantly, it's by no means restrictive. The menu is varied and creative; you don't miss the large quantities of meat at all. Everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and delicious. Another highlight: the large selection of beers – there are probably up to 15 different ones. Unfortunately, I had to drive, otherwise I would have loved to try everything ;-) Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience – a definite recommendation!

Top location on the roof of a parking garage with a beautiful view over Haarlem. It is very busy so reservations are recommended. Staff is friendly. We arrived between lunch and dinner and opted for a brorrelplank. Was very tasty, the homemade ice tea is recommended.

You are sitting here wonderfully! Both outside and inside. I was here with a friend and we ordered the fries. Highly recommended, wow. Delicious. It also came pretty quickly. And you got enough for today's prices. Furthermore, the servers were friendly. The menu looks nice. What stood out: many vegan options. The view is great there. The prices are reasonable. Few gluten free options. All in all a good experience.

Food was ok. I had the falafel burger and it was fried too long and therefore very hard, which was a shame because the taste was delicious. Location is great and service was very friendly. To get there you have to enter the parking garage and then take the elevator to the top floor.

Well, what can I say... one of the nicest places in Haarlem, especially on a sunny Friday evening! Beautiful view over the city, the friendliest and nicest staff in all of Haarlem and the surrounding area and a wonderful menu with beautiful vegetarian options. My favorite go to!

The restaurant was very nice and cosy. Great location for a view of the town . As for the food it was delicious and fresh . The duck was highly recommended by our younger group. The choices not that many but they catered for all tastes. The service excellent and more than accommodating for our large group (18) . The experience was a great one!

Amazing views of the city- recommend going around sunset. Slightly tricky to find how to get up to the rooftop and what part of the parking garage to enter but their website gives clear directions. Great atmosphere and design. Great selection of food and drink. We love the food utilized seasonal ingredients in creative ways but thought there could have been slightly more refinement and editing in the dishes. Very friendly staff but not the most attentive or fast service.

Food is very bad. Ravioli is not homemade and you can taste it. Tasted gummy like. And then you pay €22 for that dish. Not worth it at all. There are many other places where you get more for your money. I'll never come here again.
