Nice, spacious restaurant, good portions, friendly staff. I was happy with this choice.

Didn't eat, was at a party. Great location near Haarlem station. Very easy to get to. Well-organized party. I'll go back to eat there again.

What a disappointment tonight. We had made a reservation, but the website didn't mention a party. When we got there, it turned out there was one. The music was loud, but okay. People around us left. When a brass band came in at 8 p.m., the sound became too loud and we couldn't hear each other. We quickly finished our meal and left. Locally, what do you expect? A restaurant or a party venue on a Saturday night? We won't be going back.

I went to Locael for breakfast for the first time on Friday morning. What an arrogant, hostile attitude from a blonde female server. I left screaming without even trying the menu...what a terrible experience at Locael.

A really nice place to eat and drink next to Haarlem Central Station. Lots of coffee drinkers in the morning, and in the afternoon, people show up for Friday afternoon drinks. It was pleasantly busy, also due to the F1 crowd. The Chardonnay was excellent.

A large, high-ceilinged room with a nice view of the bustling square. The food was mediocre. (The fried egg sandwich consisted of three slightly overcooked eggs, with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese underneath.) The service was variable... at first a friendly girl, but later also a very smart one. But hey... at least there was staff.

I ended up here during a company outing, and what a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. They cater to a diverse clientele: the terrace outside is perfect for drinks, while inside you can hold meetings with groups or work independently, and even enjoy lunch or dinner. We opted for the three-course menu, and I ordered the Melanzane. Everything was well-prepared and served with great taste. The eggplant was deliciously stuffed, and the Parmesan cheese, of course, made it perfect. With a matching red wine, we had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the food.

I've been coming here for years, both to study and to relax. I even had a job interview here once! The food is delicious and the staff is always great.

It's great that it's there, but it's not indicated anywhere in the station. All the shops in the station, which aren't many, are quite spread out. This one is all the way at the back. If you even know where to find it, because, as I said, I didn't notice it was there at the station. Furthermore, there aren't any places in the station where you can eat while sitting, so it's a missed opportunity.

Only had a few drinks, so I can't comment on the food. A great place for a one-on-one meeting. Easily accessible. Parking is not free.

Restaurant was recommended by our hotel receptionist. Great location right by the train station Overveen. Very helpful staff, and the food was excellent. Amazing experience to enjoy drinks and food.

Really groovy spot. I had a vegan burger and my partner had chicken pad thai. The owner was super welcoming and polite. The atmosphere is chic and elevated. It’s fun to people watch out the huge windows.

Great! That you can still eat a full-fledged healthy (they have delicious vegetables here) meal for so little money and with such good service. Real attention, knowledge, and ending with a cocktail makes your evening complete.

Hospitable young staff (very friendly and cheerful ladies), we were greeted upon entering and fortunately we were greeted upon leaving this establishment! Definitely go to Locael!

Recently ate here. The tuna steak was very tasty, also the side dishes. Friendly service. The menu was outdated, it contained a menu choice that could no longer be ordered. The most important area for improvement is the beer menu. As a restaurant in Haarlem, I think you should at least have something local on the menu (e.g. Jopen or Uiltje).

Summer 2024- Jan 2025: I've been there 3 times now. Beautiful place, attractively decorated, comfortable seating. Delicious food and drinks: breakfast, smoothies, coffee, snack. Why only 3 stars? The service is slow! Had 1 coffee last Sunday. If there had been a menu on the table, I might have ordered a pastry or hamburger. I expected someone to come by after an hour and ask if I wanted a second cup of coffee, but no. And it wasn't busy that afternoon. They could have made more money from me.... With faster, proactive service, this establishment could rise above mediocrity.

The food was tasty. I had the chicken satay. The service was very friendly. Slightly pricey.

Super atmospheric tent, nice background music. The service is friendly but not very proactive. I think the food is really below standard. I could watch my chicken club sandwich on the serving bar for half an hour or more. And by the time I got it to the table, the bread at the bottom was soggy with moisture, the fresh tomato dried out and the toasted bread tough. I also have another experience from the kitchen as a caterer of a training course in the hall that you can rent there. The conclusion now is that the quality is not consistent.

Really chill place, with drinks service at the table and tasty small bites. Had an excellent evening with friends.

This place used to be quite good. Lately the vibe is off, last few times the food was of poor quality and overpriced, also the music loud and jarring. Locael is no longer for me and my friends.

Just a great place to meet up, open your laptop or have something to eat... or all three! Right next to the station, so ideal in that respect too!

Top tent, especially for a festive gathering...

I went for drinks on a Friday night at the terrace so I cannot comment on the food. It was very relaxed, I had an excellent Moscow mule and the waitress was the best! She was knowledgeable about the wines they had and even offered my friend to sample a couple to find one she really liked. Excellent customer service

Nice place at Haarlem NS Station to work flexibly or have a coffee while you're on the road. Or just have a chat outside on the terrace. Friendly service and plenty of space. Good coffee too!

The service is very friendly, but I had to walk to the bar for every order to ask if I could order while the entire place was almost empty. Ordered a drink and was simply forgotten. The staff seemed especially busy with each other. The food was also good.

Restaurant Locael Centraal is located close to the NS Station. Not an unknown address because before it had a catering destination there was, among other things, a branch of the Government Buildings Agency. As an employee of that organization, I followed various training courses and participated in work meetings. Visited this time for a colleague's farewell party. The staff was very nice and we were well looked after. The food and drinks, the snacks, everything was great.

Een schamele lunch. Echt waardeloos als je voor 10 euro slechts één boterham krijgt met wat vulsels en avocado! Dat oan toch niet. Teleurstellend, ook dat je elkaar niet kunt verstaan door idioot harde muziek. Leuk voor de vrijmibo maar niet als je zakelijke dingen te bespreken hebt. Wel vriendelijk personeel.

Onverwacht weer binnen gelopen op vrijdagavond. Leuke ontvangst en leuke plek om te eten! Vooraf een boterzachte tonijn-sashimi en met een heerlijke witte wijn Top! De vis als hoofdgerecht werd speciaal voor mij zonder korstje gebakken, maar was helaas erg droog uitgevallen. De groentesalade erbij leek wel “van gisteren” kwaliteit was niet goed. Mijn partner had de spies van ossenhaas, waarvan de smaak ondefinieerbaar was. Misschien had de kok zijn dag niet. Jammer, want het restaurant is een leuke plek en de bediening super vriendelijk en attent.

Had a cup of coffee there with someone. Nice and good service and there is a nice atmosphere. So definitely recommended. Tip: if we need to move chairs, lift them instead of sliding them. Makes a lot of noise that is not necessary

Enough space between the tables to have a pleasant conversation, delicious vegetarian options in terms of snacks, the pinot grigio and the blonde beer sublime, very friendly employees. Business/professional yet cozy appearance in terms of interior.

Don't discount this restaurant which is at the entrance to the station. We had burgers which were fantastic, waitress was fantastic and very helpful. What an amazing experience, it has the low light sophistication of the finest restaurants.

Super leuke plek. Komen er al een jaar om de week. Top personeel en goede kaart. Zo’n plek waar ze ook onthouden wat je de vorige keer had.

Redelijk aan de prijs. Twee goede sneden bruin brood met iets te kleine kroket, zonder garnering voor € 12. Zou niet zo snel voor een goede lunch daar naartoe gaan.

We dined here with a group. The price-quality ratio is a bit off. Too expensive for what you get. The kitchen forgot to add the asparagus and avocado to the three salad bowls we ordered. When we mentioned it they did make sure we still got the missing ingredients. Staff were otherwise kind and attentive. Ambiance is nice.

Leuke locatie voor een borrel of een koffie momentje. Wij waren met een afdelingsuitje met meer dan 70 mensen. Het koffie momentje 's ochtends en de borrel aan het einde van de dag waren allebij op deze locatie en waren top geregeld. Vriendelijk personeel en veel ruimte voor onze groep. Zeker een aanrader.

Gezellig binnen gezeten en gelunched en gedronken. Er wordt ook heel veel gecombineerd; even iets lekkers nuttigen - een hapje en een drankje, muziekje - terwijl men met laptop werkt/studeert in een aangename vriendelijke omgeving. Óók buiten goede zitgelegenheid, als het weer het toelaat

Het eten was lekker, maar erg gierig. Ik had vis als voor en hoofdgerecht. Deze kleuter porties in een versierd bord tijdperk baal ik enorm van. Ik vind dat het wettelijk verplicht moet zijn dat er op de kaart en website staat "let op: wij serveren showvoedsel - kom met volle maag"

Wir kamen von der Rennstrecke und wollten noch essen gehen. Dieses Restaurant liegt direkt neben dem Bahnhof. Das klingt erstmal nicht so gut und man stellt es sich auch nicht unbedingt schön vor. Jedoch ist das komplette Gegenteil der Fall. Draußen sowie drinnen ist es wunderschön dekoriert, vorallem abends sieht es sehr schön aus. Der Service ist auch sehr gut, jedoch 1 Stern Abzug weil die Bedienung bei der Getränkeausgabe ausversehen etwas Cola über mich verschüttet hat. Kann passieren, war auch nicht schlimm aber danach wurden mir leider keine Servietten oder sowas in der Art gebracht um den Tisch und meine Kleidung etwas zu trocknen. Es waren leider auch 2 betrunkene Norweger am Tisch neben uns, welche nach Stress gesucht haben. Wurden permanent angestarrt und angepöbelt. Selbst die Kellner wurden unfreundlich angemacht. Solche Leute gehören rausgeschmissen. Das Essen war dann aber wieder perfekt. Der Beef-Burger ist eine 10/10 und die Pommes dazu auch. Das war der beste Burger und die besten Pommes, die ich je gegessen habe. Danach gabs noch Apfelkuchen und der war ebenfalls eine 10/10 und auch preislich völlig okay. Wenn ich wieder hier in der Nähe bin, komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder her.

I can honestly say being a uk person I didn't expect much from a restaurant next to a railway station but this food was absolutely delicious. Food was super fresh and service was great also . Best food we had on our holiday in past 2 weeks . We'll done team Locael Centraal. I had the salad with no meat and tomato salad extra. Skin on chips were great as was vegan burger and meat burger .

Nice airy space, good menu choices and attentive service.

Heerlijke koffie! Goede broodjes en gezellige sfeer.

Gezellige plek naast het station, met een hippe en strakke uitstraling. Mooi terras in de zon. Voor de gelegenheid hadden ze Black Egg buiten gezet. Je kon bestellen vanaf een losse kaart. We kregen in eerste instantie bijna allemaal de verkeerde kaart, lastig. Voor de rest het bij het menu en de extra kaart lastig om te schatten hoe groot nu precies de gerechten zijn. Het eten was goed van smaak, maar helaas niet al te warm, verder duurde steeds even voordat de hele tafel (5 mensen) hun gerecht hadden. De bediening is vriendelijk, maar zonder werkende apparatuur (bestelsysteem) kost alles behoorlijk wat tijd en aandacht.

Zeer behulpzaam personeel Weerzien na 30 jaar met 6 oude klasgenoten, we verhuisden van binnen naar buiten naar binnen en het vriendelijke personeel dacht heel fijn met ons mee, ook een top- tafel gereserveerd waar we in een - bijna rondje goed konden bijpraten. Top!

Fijne plek om na of voor een treinreis even iets te drinken.

Fijn dicht bij het station, maar voor het eten dat ik kreeg geserveerd, hoef je hier niet te komen. Ik bestelde een maaltijdsalade zonder kaas. Kreeg een bakje groene sla met een paar plakjes wortel en een stukje geroosterd brood. Heb er nog maar wat brood bijbesteld, evenmin de moeite waard (fabrieksbrood).
