Nice atmosphere for dining out at Christmas. The vegetarian Christmas menu looked neat and tasted delicious. The service was good. One point of improvement is the cramped toilet that is not easily accessible and suitable (low bowl) for people with disabilities.

Way too busy, and small and very noisy. We couldn't even ask if a spot might become available. We didn't want this anymore either. So we went to a quieter spot, ended up having a very nice meal at the old station and sat a lot more quietly.

We found the dinner disappointing overall. The dishes were too 'basic' for a Christmas menu. More imagination needs to be put on the plate at Christmas. The children's menus also deserved more attention because we can also serve a few cherry tomatoes and carrot strips on a plate at home. In terms of taste, the duck breast (and sauce) in particular was fine. The waiting times between dishes were too long. There was about an hour between each dish, which is too long, especially for young children. The atmosphere in Het Wapen van Kennemerland was excellent and the service was also very friendly. We will definitely go back for dinner at another time, but yesterday we had the feeling that the kitchen brigade could not handle such a large group and we were very sorry to experience that.

Nice restaurant for lunch. The food is delicious. However, I would order extra fries with the hamburger. There was very little to it.

My caprese sandwich was delicious. Of course not easy to eat because it is high, but I received a sharp knife upon request. My friend had a Caesar salad and thought it had a lot of chicken and not enough lettuce. Upon request she got some lettuce, but not much. The building is fantastic, very attractive and in the summer you can sit on the terrace and look out over the meadows. A truly unique place. However, on Sundays in winter, it is very busy and the noise of voices and cutlery etc. is deafening. Even if you sit opposite each other at a narrow table, you have to raise your voice quite a bit, which is very tiring. So there is still quite a bit of room for improvement in terms of acoustics here. I wouldn't change anything else.

It was very busy and that was noticeable in the speed at which the food arrived, we waited more than an hour...that can happen, but it is actually too long. What was less nice was that the food was not very warm and cooled down halfway through. The food itself was nice, but not regarding the price/quality...too expensive! (eaten game)

After a Sunday walk in the beautiful Elswout estate, a hot chocolate in the adjacent "Wapen" should not be missed. A heated terrace with a view over the meadow and forests has made this "vintage" location a household name in Haarlem for decades.

Delicious soup, delicious hot chocolate milk

Neatly reserved, I could choose the dark part of the place with a burning fireplace, (way too hot!!!) a table where the waiter could just pass with his order or a table under the stairs!! You will also come to the coat of arms of K country for its beautiful location!! Fortunately I was able to find a lighter, cooler spot.

Our favorite place to go with the family (kids aged 4 and 7). In winter it is cozy inside and when the sun is shining you can sit outside. Lunch is our favorite meal and it is delicious. Lots of choice and something for everyone.

Yesterday we had another delicious meal at the 'stinking bucket'. I was also allowed to come along with my wife and the dog. Friendly service, comes by regularly but not pushy, just good! We sat upstairs because downstairs was full. This allows you to eat very quietly. Was very nice. We will definitely come back again!

Nice tent. There's a lot going on, there's plenty of commotion. The service is friendly, but sometimes it takes a while for the order to be taken. The food is of good quality and plenty of choice. I would definitely like to come back here again.

Delicious food in a beautiful place, in a cozy restaurant. The lemon cake in particular tastes just like it looks, yum! The chicken and tuna salads are richly topped with a delicious dressing. We will come here more often.

Heerlijke lunch gehad in een lekker zonnetje op het terras. Broodje hete kip was ruim voldoende en erg lekker. Boerenbruinbrood met twee kroketjes was ook lekker. Gezellig restaurant voorheen de stinkende emmer met een mooi terras en goed opgeleid vriendelijk personeel

Ik kreeg een verzoekje van vrienden uit Baarn om iets te zoeken waar wij heerlijk kon eten , dat werd dus Het W. v. Kennemerland aanbevolen door mij , omdat ik daar jaren geleden heerlijk had gegeten , en schaamde mij heel erg achteraf , de Sate v.d. haas leek wel een soort suddervlees 3 x opgepiept of zo iets in de magnetron , Pindasaus erg weinig , teveel sambal , de ander had een Hamburger, die was nog half rauw van binnen ....bediening slecht , geen bon bij afrekenen ?? de plek is geweldig maar daar eet ik dus nooit meer .... zie bericht boven mij van Rein die hier dus bij was , later nog iemand gesproken met de zelfde klacht die ik daar ook tegen kwam ....op jullie heerlijke terras .......

De zgn. varkenshaasjes (sate) waren zeer slecht, evenals de hamburger (rauw aan de binnenkant). De bediening door een jonge dame was conform het eten, nl. zeer slecht. Zeker toen wij na afloop om een bonnetje vroegen. Met veel tegenzin kregen we de nota, vergezeld van een niet passende opmerking. Hier komen we zeker nooit meer terug.

Plastic achtige varkenssate , sponzige eendenborst en waterige groenten. T eten is muf en het lijkt of de gerechten uit de magnetron komen Ben vaste gast van t Wapen, maar de kaart ( burgers) is veranderd en ik vrees de kok ook!

It has been a while since I was here. There were many young ministers on this beautiful day. You could tell that one had more experiences than the other. It took a long time for them to come to us. Despite the crowds, it wasn't too bad in my opinion. Sometimes we had to ask for something 3 times before we got something. The atmosphere on the terrace was pleasant. The food was very tasty!

Delicious food in 't Wapen van Kennemerland. We were with a larger group, but there was still a lot of flexibility and we had wide choices. The ambiance, with fresh flowers on the table, where people could quietly talk to each other in a relaxed and casual atmosphere, also contributed to a successful evening. All those present were very pleased.

Delicious food, perfectly prepared meat dishes

This afternoon we had dinner with the four of us, 3x satay, 2x fries sleeve, something to drink and ice cream. Myself, the bread stew should be exceptional, well, it was all very fat, I left it alone, told the waitress that it was inedible. so greasy if she would like to pass it on, the fries were expensive and were overcooked so that they became air fries. She would pass it on, I would like to comment that the chef can make up for it with an extra scoop of ice cream, unfortunately no response whatsoever Paid 160 euros and I'm still nauseous from the 2 chunks of meat, too bad but it's over for us, it was the stinking bucket but stew sandwich... you can't burn the fat. The staff doesn't do anything about it, which is a shame

We had a wonderful evening at the Wapen van Kennemerland. The weather was good so we could eat outside, idyllic next to the meadows. The food was perfect, lamb with parsnip puree and some vegetables, just right in taste and quantity, and the tenderloin was also delicious. Good tarte tatin for sure. The service is professional and friendly. A great success, we will definitely come back

We sat on the terrace in the evening. Right next to the meadow. Always a nice place to have a drink or eat. Good wines. Pork tenderloin satay is tender, tasty and good in portion size. My table companion's burger was also tasty. Price/quality ratio of the food is good. Friendly and helpful staff. There is always a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Lunch or just a drink is also nice there.

Delicious food at an attractive table inside. The service is good, staff helpful and friendly. It is one of our favorite places to go for a nice drink or bite to eat. The natural environment (overlooking meadows and nearby forest) is also very relaxing. In short, always recommended! A tip: if you want to be sure of a place outside or inside, make a reservation via their website.

Unfortunately it was very busy for us, there was no room left on the terrace. Hopefully better next time.

Coffee was good but the service was shoddy. On Wednesday 22/5 around half past ten I sat on the terrace for at least 10 minutes waiting for service (I was visible to the girls inside). Then, feeling tired, I asked if I could get a cappuccino. Of course, it will be coming soon, they replied. It took another fifteen minutes before it arrived. Asked if I could pay immediately because I wanted to continue. My colleague will be with you shortly! After another fifteen minutes, we went back inside to pay. The two serving girls were standing there chatting happily at the bar. It was also quiet inside, just like outside. When paying, I asked if they understood that I as a customer did not feel very welcome with this lack of service. Yes, one of the girls replied twice, I understand that (??!). Other than that, no excuse or explanation, nothing. So I paid €3.80 for the cappuccino and left. Don't think I'll be back here anytime soon. Recently had coffee here again, 3/8, it remains a unique place. Operation was now impeccable. Fast, friendly and the coffee was still good.

Beautiful location in the Haarlem countryside for a quaint little pub with a pretty cool story for its history. The food was great! Drinks were superb, the view was even better!! Quiet and peaceful view of the farmlands. Heerlijk en gezellig.

Delicious food. Due to the nice weather we were given a table outside on the rear terrace with a pleasant view over the meadows. The service is pleasant and smooth. We were helped quickly and after the starter we were politely asked if we thought it was time for the main course, which was very pleasant. My main course was a mix of different meats. The taste was really nice, but I expected some parts to be a little more tender. Everything else was completely well organised. This restaurant is a household name in Haarlem and highly recommended

Ach t Wapen or colloquially "The Stinking Bucket" is simply a great place. Top location, cozy, nice terrace, nice staff, also fine inside when the weather is bad. Come here regularly and it's a top favorite for me. Both for a drink with bitterbal or a nice lunch. Super tasty sandwiches.

Despite problems with the fryer, which suddenly broke down in the morning, the food was excellent: extra compliment for the fresh salad. And thanks for the candle for my 77th birthday. A surprise. Mary

Lovely place with quick and pleasant service. I would give 3 1/2 stars for the food. The raw tuna with salad that we had was good and above all very fresh, but we thought it had a bit too neutral taste. The traditional bread was tasty, but the crust was so overbaked (perhaps in the oven for a second time without first moistening it thoroughly?) that it was difficult to cut and difficult to bite through with your teeth. So that was a lot of work. All in all, a place we would like to return to.

A wonderful place to spend time outdoors, even when it rains due to the large retractable screen. Enjoy a rural environment with a good extensive menu and.....very customer-friendly service. Highly recommended!!!

Delicious, but above all, a pleasant meal outdoors. About twice a year we go out to eat with our old HBS class from 1970. This time with eight of us. There was a variety of choices for main meal and dessert and everyone liked it!

Na een tijdje geleden weer eens naar het wapen van Kennemerland de locatie blijft gezellig maar het eten wat een afgang besteld een ossenhaas rechtstreeks uit de magnetron en zonder enige beleving van de kok bereid. Medium is bij deze kok doorbakken en taai en de garnituur laat te wensen over !! Dit aangegeven bij de bediening en na enig overleg een nieuw menu mogen nemen . Dan maar de hamburger genomen !! Klef nattig en een broodje opgewarmd in de oven , dan maar liever een hamburger van Mc Donalds wat betreft prijs kwaliteit. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar met deze kok . Gr Remco van Beek Ps . Ik ben echt geen zeur en dit is voor het eerst in mijn leven dat ik eten in een restaurant niet accepteer .
