A good place for a short break. The latte macchiato was delicious and the baguette with pâté was perfectly fine. Anyone looking for a light meal and a good coffee will find this a great spot.

Ordered a baguette with warm meat, but the filling was very sparse. The area in and around the restrooms is in dire need of renovation. It was falling apart.

November 30, 2025: I love having a sandwich at Delifrance. They always have delicious sandwiches. This time I had a baguette with steak tartare. A nice touch of fresh mint tea and a cup of coffee to finish. Paired with excellent service, it's a perfect lunch for me.

Good for a quick stop. The cappuccino, apple strudel, and waffles were quite tasty, and the prices were reasonable.

The Délifrance in Leiden is truly fantastic! The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the place is neat and well-maintained; everything just exudes a sense of care. So far, this is the best Délifrance I've been to. Definitely recommended for a delicious lunch or coffee! ☕🥐

A fantastic breakfast for €11 included bread (with ham, cheese, and a hard-boiled egg), a croissant with jam, and an apple pie. Coffee and orange juice were included. The service was excellent. They also offer several types of sandwiches that looked delicious. I'll definitely be back for a next trip. Congratulations.

We were here for breakfast. We were craving a nice, simple, healthy sandwich or egg salad. It took a bit of searching—everything has to be trendy these days—but Delifrance had delicious "regular" sandwiches! Highly recommended!

Disappointing...no brown bread. Don't know what a sandwich is. Was better and more pleasant before. Coffee was tasty

The lady was very unpleasant to me, did not bother to speak english. I ordered a seasonal offer coffee, but she did not even know what i wanted. She overcharged me and i got a rather underwhelming beverage without the promised garnish.

Very good apple strudel. In a combination package with any coffee only €5.5. Nice service. Toilets very cramped and not barrier-free.

Lovely cafe in Leiden city centre! Me and my son always stop here on a Saturday early morning for our cappuccino and the owner an dhis family are always super friendly and nice!Also the croissant and little delicassy are delicious!Definitely reccomended!

We were very kindly guided to our spot by the owner. We got a plate of Pistolet, croissant and a chocolate roll. Plus a large bowl with ham/cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and egg. All loose. There was also a small bowl of Jam. Fresh orange juice, delicious. This case is highly recommended. The atmosphere itself is simply: Délifrance. But I come there to eat, not to look around. Super!

Het restaurant zit midden in de winkelstraat. Wij zaten op het kleine buitenterras in de zon. Er zijn maar weinig tafeltjes buiten dus hadden we geluk. We hadden een wrap met krokante kip en een baquette met kip/mango. Een uitstekende keus. We hebben heerlijk gegeten voor een schappelijke prijs.

A pleasant place to relax and drink coffee in the Haarlemmerstraat. Only, not as the name suggests, the croissants are "French" but are warmed up before serving and served half burnt. So ask for no heating!

On holiday and on the last few days I often had lunch 'outside'. What a nice thing this is. Friendly welcome and service. Tasty sandwiches and (Greek) salad. And very affordable. Recommended

Very big improvements here compared to a few years ago. Good place for lunch for not too much money. The menu also has a lot of variety and the staff is friendly.

Had lunch here this afternoon and had the surprise plate, a real surprise in all its positives. The atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned (positive), but it feels very nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Go inside and be surprised and pampered. I will definitely come back here.

Ze hebben een nieuwe kaart. En die is erg smakelijk. En zeer vriendelijk personeel. Altijd belangrijk als je ergens gaat eten.

Super leckere wraps, Kaffee, cheesecake, blaubeermuffins....

Panini brie pesto tomaat besteld. Weet niet wat ik had, maar het was gewoon niet lekker. Rare zoete smaak. Mijn vriendin had wrap met krokante kip, die was redelijk, maar zeker niet krokant... had grootste deel panini laten liggen. En bij afrekenen aangegeven dat het echt niet lekker was. Oh vervelend. 18 euro alsublieft. Was dus eerste en laatste keer daar.

Gezellige plek om een broodje te eten. De sfeer is prima, de bediening is vriendelijk en snel en de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is zeer goed. Ideaal voor een snelle of uitgebreide lunch tijdens het winkelen of koffie met iets lekkers. Een speciale dieetwens is geen enkel probleem en hier wordt automatisch rekening mee gehouden. Als je er vaker komt, weet het vaste personeel zelfs je favoriete broodje!

Leiden is beautiful and lured to this place with the expectation of eating a real French sandwich. 9 Euro's for a small baguette and a mini glass of orange juice, nothing French, very Dutch. Would not go again.

Eten is prima, je kan er voor een leuk prijsje een high tea doen, maar het personeel is niet erg vriendelijk en het is niet sfeervol ingricht.

Deze lunchroom heeft een uitgebreide kaart met vele soorten (belegde) broodjes. Het zit midden in de Haarlemmerstraat en je loopt tussen het winkelen door zo even naar binnen. De sfeer is ok. Je zit wel vrij dicht op de andere gasten. De bediening was vriendelijk en de door ons bestelde broodjes werden al snel na bestellen geserveerd. De broodjes waren zeer smaakvol en ruim belegd. Prijs van het broodje carpaccio was € 8,25. Prijskwaliteit is goed in verhouding. Deze lunchroom is een aanrader om eens te bezoeken.

Wir waren zum Brunch dort. Preislich sehr gut! Ambiente schön, das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommen und das Essen sehr lecker! Die Auswahl ist auch umfangreich, für jeden etwas dabei! :)

Broodje Zalm was wél een beetje mager uitgevoerd. Was een baquette die te weinig zalm had om de opengesneden tweede helft mee te beleggen... . Zal wel komen door de hogere prijzen of te drukke tijdstip.. ..

Fijne sfeer, vriendelijk personeel, en lekker eten voor een goede prijs. Zelf een heerlijke croissant warme beenham met mosterdsaus op.

Fijn geluncht voor een mooie prijs. De lunch zag er goed verzorgd uit was lekker; kipsandwich voor mijnheer en voor mij een wrap met zalm. We hebben ook nog koffie met mini macarons genomen. Smullen. Vooral de macaron met citroensmaak.

Il posto è carino, l’attesa piuttosto lunga ma ci può stare. Menù scritto solo in olandese. Abbiamo chiesto se c’è ne fosse uno in inglese e ci hanno risposto che il cameriere avrebbe saputo soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste. Solo che il cameriere, non solo parlava un terribile inglese, ma soprattutto non conosceva il menù!!!! Mi sono trovato a mangiare una tristissima baguette con Brie miele e qualche pinolo! Inoltre veder afferrare il cucchiaio della nostra zuppa direttamente appoggiando il pollice sulla parte concava sarebbe stato discutibile in età pre-COVID, in accettabile adesso.

De bestelling werd niet goed begrepen. We bestelden een broodje gezond zonder ham, we kregen een broodje met ham. We bestelden een broodje zonder tomaat, we kregen een broodje met tomaat. Toen we zaten te eten zagen we hoe voor andere gasten broodjes werden bereid. Een hotdog werd met de blote handen zo in de magnetron gelegd, met een handdoek eruit gehaald. Even later werden aan die handoek handen afgeveegd.... totaal niet hygenisch. Meerdere handelingen die we zagen waren niet bepaald hygiënisch... ik kom hier niet meer terug!!
