Grand Café 55 in Binnenstad-Noord

Ordered here often, usually satisfied, but today... Ordered at 12:00, spent until 15:15 on the phone with customer service, and then stated the order was delivered at 15:20, but received nothing... money lost and no food. Called the place more than 10 times to ask what happened, but no one answered.

Friendly atmosphere and efficient service. The food tastes good.

We went to visit Leiden, and right outside the train station, we found this fantastic specialty coffee shop! Since it was raining, we stopped for a coffee to warm up. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. They also had food and space to sit and enjoy it there. Highly recommended!

We were a group of 10 people, which can explain why it took the second dish so long to arrive, but not only they charge us for a dish we did not order, but they brought me the Tonijnbiekstuf like this, like a normal biefstuk. The sesame sauce was not there of course, and they did not even bother to provide an excuse for this. The dish was not worth to pay 28,50€ at all.

This place is so lovely and cozy with an amazing view of the canal. It's a shame they're closing it 🥲
