Mooie locatie met zicht op de Westerschelde. Steile trap naar boven vanaf parkeerplaats. Voor senioren een hele klim. Onvriendelijke ontvangst en geen begrip voor het wisselen van de tafel in verband met de wind. Ook de vraag om te herhalen in verband met de door accenten veroorzaakte onverstaanbaarheid van wat wordt geantwoord op vragen, geeft zichtbare irritatie. Drankjes worden vlot geserveerd. De tapasplank a 25 euro voor 2 personen is prima. De bitterballen zijn aan de vette kant. Pittige prijzen wel.

Slechte klant-onvriendelijke bediening. De muntthee met bruine bladeren en stengels en een sandwich waarvan 1 deel droog en onbelegd. Werd, na aangeven, niets aan gedaan. Kroketjes zeer vet. Wij komen hier nooit meer!

Prima goede plek om betaalbaar lekker te eten. Van te voren gebeld en onze wensen werden prima verzorgd. Vriendelijk personeel. Het eten was heerlijk en een goede portie. Het uitzicht is indrukwekkend.

Verschillende zaken op de kaart waren niet voorradig. We hebben dan bordje vis besteld waar verschillende soorten op het bord zouden moeten liggen, inclusief zalm. Zalm ontbrak en toen ik vroeg waar zalm was, geen antwoord. Men zou even checken maar geen antwoord meer gekregen. Ontgoochelend ! Hier zien ze ons zeker niet meer terug.

Beautifully located right on the beach. Great view. Very friendly service. We only had one ice cream, Madame Blanche. Very nicely presented and well-organized.

If you're willing to pay a lot for little food, this is the place for you. The location is perfect, though.

At first, the service staff were a bit reserved. This changed for the better over the course of our visit. The food was extremely delicious. Very fresh mussels and seafood! We would go there again.

Absolutely worth its stars: not only the quality of the dishes was perfect. Also the service orientation sublime: due to enormous traffic in the Randstad our guests arrived an hour after the last time slot of 20:00. Where others become restless or grumpy, the chef cuisine remained calm and his hospitality was unprecedented. Up to and including the conclusion with delicious desserts. Absolute class that we rarely encounter here in the Netherlands!

We've been coming here for years. However, the quality and service decline every year. Maybe you are no longer dependent on customers or don't want to maintain the quality and standard. I can't recommend the latte macchiato because it just wasn't tasty and it's too expensive. The service also doesn't make any effort to ensure the guest has a pleasant stay.

Had a delicious meal in this restaurant in a beautiful location right by the sea. Friendly service. Portions were tasty, but a bit on the small side. I ordered some extra fries (at no cost).

Had dinner here with a social deal. Menu was not your standard menu. The food was of very good quality, we enjoyed several fish dishes and concluded with the 'Zeeuws get-together' as dessert, which is definitely recommended. The only downside: the music was not at all appropriate for a restaurant. Nicky Minaj with Starships doesn't do much positive for the ambiance.. For the rest definitely recommended, good food with a beautiful view (make sure you experience the sunset).

Ther are only few options in January in Zealand. Dijkpaviljoen de Westkaap is one of them. The restaurant is beautifully located directly at the shore. Spectacular view to the north-sea and the ship traffic to and from antwerp port. The food is of good quality, the staff is friendly (but the service team was totally understaffed when we visited the place)

So, too bad... wrong menu, okay that's possible... but dirty eggs on supermarket bread. Pricey for the quality

We had a delicious meal tonight at this attractive, warm location. Went earlier this week for lunch, here too only praise. The quality is very high and the service is very friendly and personal. We will definitely come again!!

On the dike right by the sea, beautiful view, fine food, portions could be a little larger. Unfortunately, there has been a parking fee in front of the door since 2023, which is NOT charged by the restaurant (!) but by the municipality! We have been surprised here every year for 15 years to see whether it continues to be a culinary experience for us👍

We wanted a table for three, the shop was almost completely empty at the back and fully occupied at the front. Apparently all the tables in the back area were reserved (at 3:45 p.m., no reserved signs on the table) and we should look for a table at the front - where of course nothing was available. The lady was super unfriendly. Maybe it was because of our two-year-old son, who accompanied us and apparently wasn't wanted. No thanks, we won't be coming here again in the future.

Had dinner here with 7 people. Everyone made their own menu choice and everyone really enjoyed the food. Parking in the dark is a bit difficult because there are no lines on the dike.

This restaurant has a unique sea view. That's why I come here more often. The staff is friendly and attentive. But if you like good food, you're better off eating somewhere else. This place is great for a cup of coffee or a drink, but I would dine somewhere else.

Personeel kwam erg chagrijnig over, totale desinteresse. Terwijl het eind oktober is, stikte het van de vliegen! Overal en dus ook op je eten. Waar komen de vliegen vandaan? Wat gebeurt er in de keuken..? Erg onsmakelijk. Decor is ook oudbollig, plakkerig, smoezelig. De kaart is ook erg ouderwets, met rare gerechten. Iemand zin in een tosti met hertengehakt en kaas? Arme levende kreeften in een aquarium.. De befaamde appeltaart wordt ijskoud geserveerd en valt daarom niet lekker op de maag. Geen aanrader!

It's a nice experience to sit here and watch the big ships go by - unfortunately that's the only really positive thing! The service was downright subpar. He rarely came to order a drink a second time, unfortunately not possible. The aisles came at huge intervals, even though it was relatively uncrowded. The starters such as seafood were completely overpriced for the quantity, selection and taste! The mussels were completely bland - I had never experienced that before in Zeeland. I have known the restaurant for many years, but the quality has deteriorated greatly. I used to love coming there, but after the overpriced and rather bland experience both in terms of service and taste, I won't be seeing it again for a while!

Wow, I went for the lobster this time. But the menu is good and extensive. This fish restaurant also has meat dishes, but to be honest, on the coast I go for fish! The salmon and mackerel were also delicious! Oh yes, wait until the sunset, it can be spectacular from there!!

We were very satisfied. Great food, good value for money and great service. The location is of course great.

The restaurant is very nice. The service except for the boss too. The food was okay too. With 7 people, we ordered 5 starters including a large starter platter for €40 and only received 4 plates and were looked at stupidly when we wanted two more plates. We also asked when making the reservation whether we could bring a dog. No answer. Water for the dog was only available at the entrance. We prefer it to be said that dogs are not welcome than to be looked at askance if we have a dog. We ate and drank for a tidy sum. There are better and friendlier places in the area. We'll go there in the future.

The atmosphere is pretty good, with a look on the ocean (wind turbines in the distance). The food is the definition of average, not bad but nothing really special at all (presentation of my food was pretty good tho) and my steak was overcooked. We had to wait pretty damn long for our food, Which didn't give quite the good first impression. The price was pretty average too. For the quality of the food the price still isn't't really worth it.

Für uns war dieses Strandrestaurant das beste von Westkapelle-Domburg-Oostkapelle. Ein sehr nettes Ambiente, gute Küche, super Service, hier hat alles gestimmt.

Ga hier niet naar toe als je een welopgevoede hond bij je hebt. Er wordt tot vervelens toe door een dame gezegd dat de hond aan de lijn moet terwijl die aan de lijn zit, ze staat je in de hal al op te vangen met de mededeling dat de hond aan de lijn moet terwijl ik daar mee bezig was. En maar doorgaan met te zeggen dat de hond aan de lijn moet. Zelf een plaatsje kiezen is er ook al niet meer bij. De dame in kwestie loopt voor je uit met een air die geen tegenspraak duldt. Let wel, bij het diner is dat misschien wat anders, maar ‘s-middags om 15.00 uur, terwijl er tafels genoeg vrij staan, is dit toch wat anders. Als we vragen ergens anders te mogen zitten wordt er door de dame achter de bar tegen de “honden-politie-dame” gezegd, “nee daar neerzetten” alsof we twee kleuters zijn. Dan maar gaan zitten waar we “neergezet” waren. Als je dan vervolgens wordt genegeerd, er nóg een keer tegen je gezegd wordt dat de hond aan de lijn moet terwijl die hond aan een niet over het hoofd te zien riem zit, kom je tot de conclusie: wegwezen hier. Wij zijn dan ook zonder iets te nuttigen weggegaan. Het personeel gaat er daar niet op vooruit. Jammer, we kwamen er vaak. Na deze ervaring gaan ze ons daar niet meer zien.

The food is really delicious. However, since we have had a comparison to the past for years, we are disappointed. We ordered a fish platter and got a manageable portion. This used to be called “a greeting from the kitchen,” but today it’s called a plate. The price is 24€. We got two bowls of fries for five people. Potatoes used to be included in the dish. Today, however, you have to order everything separately. The end of the story is, I went into the restaurant hungry, was relieved of around €27 per person with drinks and left hungry. As written, the taste was great, but the rest was well below expectations in recent years.

Yesterday I wanted to warm up with my children, eat a little something and drink. Although there were hardly any guests there, we were unfriendly and crammed into the last table in a corner. After 20 minutes of waiting we realized that we weren't wanted. Never again.........

We hebben hier heerlijk geluncht. De thee is goed en ook de bierkaart is voldoende voor ons. Het eten is goed en niet al te duur. Wel kan je het verschil in personeel merken. Als het nog niet zo lang open is ( voor de middag) dan loopt er een dame die alles in de gaten houd. Echter hebben we het een aantal keer gehad dat als ze hulp gaat krijgen van de collega's dat deze ook niet rond kijken naar de rest van de tafels om te kijken of iemand iets nodig heeft. Hier valt zeker nog winst te halen.

Immediately upon arrival we were placed in a corner with our dog, even though there was room near the window. Then I sat down differently. It then took quite a while before the order was taken, the remote control was not really pleasant.

Yes, great place right next to the sea. Coffee and large pastries were excellent, as was the soup. That will be a stopping place.

Op een mooie zondagmiddag in februari hebben we hier geluncht. Er was een tafel aan het raam vrij, waardoor we prachtig uitkeken over zee. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Wij bestelden beiden een glas Chardonnay, daarbij voor mijn man " surf & turf " en voor mij " 2 garnalenkroketjes met bruin brood ". Beide gerechten zagen er goed uit en van beiden was de smaak erg lekker. Als dessert bestelden wij koffie met appelgebak, appelgebak zoals appelgebak moet zijn, goed gevuld en een heerlijke verse korst, super ! Voldaan verlieten wij dit prettige restaurant.

Very nice location with a great view and after the renovation of the dining room, the inside is also very nice. It's just a little difficult to use it quickly if you're not sitting centrally.
