Doppio Espresso in Van Lennepbuurt

I used to come here quite regularly, until the Chinese owner completely turned me off. He made the wrong coffee several times while I ordered something very simple (iced latte macchiato), and I even had a discussion where he scolded me very rudely and antisocially. Today I really craved coffee and ran out of milk, so I thought, "Let me try again." I explained to the lady step by step what I wanted (cup with ice, espresso poured over it, hazelnut syrup with it, and milk poured over it). Pretty easy, I thought. Then I saw the aforementioned owner grab the blender. I immediately had to jump in, stop him, and explain again what I wanted. Then he started lecturing ME about what I ordered. He angrily yelled that I should have ordered an iced latte and not an iced latte macchiato. I don't care what it's called there, I explained what I wanted. Also, which iced latte macchiato goes through a blender? I'm completely done with this place. It's a shame, because I used to come here 4 or 5 times a week.

A quiet place with a good atmosphere where you can enjoy good food and drinks

I order a single-shot cortado, but was given a double-shot instead and told I could just drink half and throw away the rest. When I politely asked for a new one with only one shot, the barista kept insisting it was the same, even though the taste and intensity are clearly different. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing service.

Just been to Doppio... The man with orange hair was way too aggressive and arrogant towards us, and I have to give this company one star. It's impossible, people!

The coffee is hot! I just wanted to mention that, because that's rare these days (I wish there was a seal of approval for hot coffee). Delicious Holtkamp pastries are available, there's always a little something with your coffee, and barista art... but more importantly, I think it's the friendliest coffee shop in town; the staff are friendly. Even when it's busy, you can feel the love they put into their work. That alone makes it feel like a warm bath.

the coffee cost me 1.10 € more than what stated in the menu, i just realised this afterwards. very bad also don’t go if you are in a rush because to make you a coffee it will take ages only

We had cake and coffee. I found the apple pie a bit too sweet. The cheesecake was fine. The coffee was good! It's a well-organized lunchroom with plenty of light. Simple, modern decor. The only thing missing was some background music. We were mainly listening to the sounds of other cars, which is a shame for the ambiance.

Nice staff and decent coffee, but unfortunately there are too many people with dogs inside. It's unhygenic for a place that serves food and drinks, and the barking makes it impossible to have a conversation or work.

The manager kept calling me "Baas" Made me feel special, Also had a great sandwich!

What terrible service. I asked an employee if they had frappuccinos, to which he replied in the affirmative. When I then ordered one, I got a bitter iced coffee that did not resemble a frappuccino at all. I politely indicated that this was not what I expected, and politely asked if I could have a warm latte macchiato instead. Just to make it easier for the employee. To my horror, a short Chinese man, probably the owner, then came up to me angrily. He spoke in a raised voice and said that they did not have frappuccinos. Everyone looked up, and I felt very uncomfortable because of the tone and manner in which he addressed me. I tried to calmly explain the situation, but he just walked on. When I later wanted to leave and said goodbye in a friendly manner, he started ranting again. This time even more violently and eventually even said “fuck off”. Really shocking. For me, this was the first and last time. I advise against it, what a terrible customer experience.

Esspresso and cappuccino always too cold

I ordered i cappuccino after 1 hours later there two girls say ohh um sry i forgot but there was busy in store to make weeds with the guy...

The seats are horrible, very hard. If you sit here for a few hours, my already bad back will be broken. Hard seats and way too low. Friendly staff.

What a super nice place. Coffee is really great and the people who work there are so nice! An absolute plus is the mix of different people who come there. There are always plenty of newspapers and wonderful classical music. I feel so at home there! A pearl in Amsterdam. Keep it up!

That very good and cozy cafe . I mostly like to drink Italian amaretto late but my bad luck when ever I came the staff girl to lessy. I am sitting now and waiting almost 20 min and she already served the people who came after me but never look at me to take Oder 😣😩

I don't know if they were having a bad day, but after 30 minutes of waiting I did not get my single cup of latte and saw people who came after me already getting their orders. I asked for my money back and left.

We had a great experience at Doppio Espresso! We ordered both coffee and matcha, and both drinks were top quality. The coffee had a rich, full flavor and the matcha was wonderfully refined. The pastries we had were fresh and perfect to complement the drinks. The service was smooth and super friendly, which made the visit even more pleasant. There is plenty of seating, including a large reading table for those who want to work or read in peace. The terrace is spacious and beautifully designed, ideal for sitting outside in nice weather. Definitely recommended for coffee lovers and a nice place to relax!

I had a cappuccino and it was a seriously great one, I really enjoyed it.

Ate a salmon sandwich, partner ate a hummus sandwich. Everything came from the second-rate food industry. Both sandwiches with the same unappetizing sauces, nauseating. And incredibly expensive. The coffee was okay but expensive. The atmosphere is meaningless and impersonal. The staff friendly but slow. Really not worth it. Bah!

Coffee is good, service is usually good. I ordered 3x canoli. Inedible, old and certainly not real canoli.

Coffee was not strong and the staff really had an attitude, I am not used to that from Doppio, normally a very nice place with good coffee.. disappointment

We hebben uiteindelijk geen lunch genomen omdat we de kaart heel saai vonden. De bediening was redelijk , maar bij het afrekenen ging er iets fout en ik wilde het gecorrigeerd hebben Toen kwam de ware aard van de man naar boven en werd hij een stuk minder klantvriendelijk. Zijn collega probeerde hem nog te sussen. Dit was een eenmalige visite aan deze tent . Er zijn nog genoeg andere eet gelegenheden in de kinker straat

Cozy atmosphere, great staff and delicious coffee and sandwiches. Definitely recommended and worth repeating.

Friendly host and food was tip top and I am a coffee drinker and have had few places where the late maciato coffee was so good, highly recommended

Echt een relaxte open sfeer en het weer werkte vandaag ook mee. Aardige vriendelijke gast die je met een smile tegemoet komt wat tegenwoordig een schaars goed is. Heb echt genoten van me koffie samen met me dochter. Als de koffie deze kwaliteit blijft dan blijf ik komen wanneer ik in de buurt ben. Snel weer jongens

The guy who welcomed us was super smiling 🫶🏻and pleasant, even though we didn't speak the language, he always showed himself in the best attitude to help us understand. ✨

Cute local bar with super breakfast options and Italian coffee. The mixed breakfast plate is huge! Make sure you come here ready to eat. Would be happy to start here every weekend.

The chicken prosciutto sandwich is incredibly delicious!!! I ordered one after the kitchen had been closed for fifteen minutes, but the man behind the bar was super nice and made it just before closing time, a true warrior! Plus the coffee is really tasty!

Aubergine, grilled paprika, cream cheese, fig. In a soft sandvich bread. And mint thee. A great Valentines day treat. And I think cheaper than all ingredints together at the supermarket. A day off feels like holiday.

Not a large lunch menu, but very tasty and affordable. You sit wonderfully quietly in the Hallen. Delicious food, highly recommended.

Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Kom hier vaak even voor het werk. Lekker kopje koffie of cappuccino drinken, een broodje eten met een heerlijke smoothy. En het personeel is altijd aardig en gezellig. Ze weten al wat we altijd bestellen. Echt top. Maakt dat ik me gezien voel en niet een nummertje.

Kleine en fijne koffiebar met vriendelijk personeel. Voor betaalbare prijzen heerlijk op het terras genoten van een iced dirty chai latte en een Italiaanse tosti

A lovely little cafe located next to the market in Kinkerstraat. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the terrace served with a fresh & fruity drink. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Definitely a "welcomed stop" after a morning of shopping.

Ik kom bij Doppio als ik in de kinkerbuurt ben. Vanwege de werkzaamheden daar wat minder. Ook het menu moeten zij veranderen meer bruin/meergranen brood en de mozarella hebben zij eruit gehaald jammer....De cappuccino is wel top!

Three stars aren't bad. Doppio Espresso is a nice place. And everything is good. It's not excellent. It's not bad. Just okay. The coffee is okay. The food is okay. I won't go there just for the food or just for the coffee. I'd go there if I wanted to work from somewhere with okay coffee and okay food. Of course, all this is in comparison to the prices. It's not expensive, it's just expensive for the quality it offers. It's okay quality but the prices are for a much higher quality range.

Iets wat prijzig, maar wel lekker. Goede service en de medewerkers zijn aardig. Voor kwaliteit betaal je gewoon iets meer. Je kan buiten zitten en uitkijken op de ten Kate markt. Maar ook binnen is het netjes en schoon :) Groetjesss
